on the verge of a sigh, there’s instant relief to get a text from julien. ‘NEW GUY’S AT THE LIBRARY. get him for me pretty please?’ audrey should have known. she welcomes the distraction, at least. her head spins with responsibilities that make it too hard to read, but this she can do.

No one was home at the Wolfe residence and Max didn’t want to be alone. what didn’t help was the storm that was raging on outside but he guessed that should the least of his concerns. Wanting to see Alex he’d put on a warm coat, slipped his phone into the inside pocket and made his way to where the other male lived. It wasn’t exactly the best time to show up but he didn’t want to be alone and he didn’t want to be around his friends so he was going to Alex. Alex wasn’t like the people he grew up with and it’s what drew Max to him but he also didn’t want to impose but that didn’t stop him from going to see if the other would see him.

By the time he reached the location of Alex’s home, he was soaked and shaking because it was cold and sure that he was probably going to wake up with some sort of cold. But none of that mattered, he was here and he just knocked on the door and waited. He didn’t have his hopes up but he would for a bit before he turned to go back home.
