Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

Baji Keisuke is a very intense person. When he feels strongly about a person, it’s hard not to notice. He goes out of his way to give Pah’s dog extra attention when he’s away, carries Mikey to and from places when he falls asleep randomly— everyone feels at ease when they’re with Baji because he is a safe person that they know they can trust.

So for his significant other; of course he’ll show his affections openly. Though it may look like less like romantic affection than it would a doting mother (does that make sense?)

Baji will wholeheartedly take care of you.

You have a stomach ache in public? He rubs your back and finds a place for you to sit, or takes you home immediately if you want. Even if he’s not entirely sure how to fix your issues, he’s dutiful in the way he cares for you.

Order something you don’t like at a restaurant? You got two options, you two can swap meals (because he doesn’t care what he eats as long as you’re happy), or he’ll order a safer option for you.

Can’t sleep? He’ll be half delirious, but he’ll stay on the phone with you and let you chat while he mumbles back replies to make you feel better. Battery might be shot tomorrow but he only uses it to stay in touch with you anyway.

Leaning into romantic affection: not so much into the casual stuff like hand holding (he’s a little squirrelly and gets frustrated if his arm is locked down for too long), but loves looping his arm over your shoulder and holding you close to him at all times. It’s more than showing people you belong to him, it’s also the comfort having you near brings him.

If he’s sitting and getting stir crazy, he’ll play with your fingers. It eventually becomes a fidget of his so he doesn’t realize he does it, but everyone else does.

Likes cuddles, specially holding you. He loves feeling you wrapped up in his arms and pressed into his neck. He could get lost in thought and lay there for hours thinking of all the things he adores about you.

If you fall asleep, he’ll stare at your face; gently pat your hair or trace your features… he’s star stuck thinking about you.

Also shows his affection in protecting you. Can not stand when other people waste your time. If you’re enjoying the conversation then sure, he’ll endure. But if you show any sign of fatigue or annoyance, he’s quick to swoop in and come up with an excuse to get yall going.

That goes for his own friends too. If anyone so much as gives a backhanded comment about you, (I.e: she’s leeching all of your time Baji/Cant you go anywhere without her?/she’s fine but I don’t like having her around/etc), he goes off. There was nothing fucking wrong with you and if you were content being by his side, then he would happily keep you there.

“Fuck you say? Ain’t no one ask you, so keep your shit shut.” He can get really aggressive with his language and dialect, don’t try fighting him further than that, it will end in fists and blood.

Speaking of, is happy to beat the shit out of anyone for you. There’s not a lot that is beneath him. (More on this @/Blood) He doesn’t hit girls, but he will pull their hair and scream in their face for a long time until they get the picture to not mess with you.

Overall: Baji only becomes an intense yandere if other people get involved. If it’s just the two of you, he’s extremely doting and careful with you, but does his best not to stir you into complex feelings that might cause you to leave him.

I know its probably unrealistic for such a small pet shop, but I like to think that in addition to Baji being a vet, Chifuyu or Kazutora are also pet groomers.

Like they have a whole seperate part of the pet store which is in the back and the back is divided into a grooming and a healthcare section.

Especially since we know for sure they are the kind of people to pick up strays. That means theyd have to have a history of getting matts out of fur.

Plus, if your pet has fleas, Baji would be able to treat them and Kazutora (who I've decided is doing the grooming) would be able to help ensure the fur is properly maintained and the pet is washed in defleaing stuff.

Baji is the vet (canonically).

Chifuyu who works out front and deals with the customers and sells all the food, treats, beds, toys, ect.

And Kazutora, who doesn't want to deal with stressful customers and so instead he stays in the back and grooms animals.

this would genuinely be so, so fucking chaotic i can't even guys LMAOOO

they're all so ready to go and crack the case and escape real fast because "chifuyu's with us, and like, draken too i guess."

"OH, YOU GUESS?" -draken, with a vein bulging out his temple

you and the guys decided that the easiest way to do this was to split up into pairs and look for clues/hints together

here's a breakdown: mikey + draken, pah + mitsuya, kazutora + baji + chifuyu, you + takemitchi

"thank fucking god i'm paired up with mitsuya 'cause my shit for brains ain't gonna do much with kazutora." -pah with a triumph smile

"PAH???? PLEASE??" -kazutora in complete disbelief

"AHAHAHHA—WAIT, SHIT HE'S IN MY GROUP." -baji, with his hair tied up because he's fucking ready

chifuyu is rubbing his temple at this point

"WE'RE ALL IN THE SAME ROOM, SHUT THE FUCK UP." -mitsuya with a growing headache

"guys we need to start the clock is fucking ticking!!!" -you, as mikey, draken, and takemitchi are DYING of laughter

the staff have to settle you all down and explain the rules, time limits, and hint system before letting you into the room with a final cheerful 'good luck!'

the group laughs out loud as pah and mikey somberly wave goodbye to the crew, eyes fixed on the door shutting with a loud SLAM and lock

the group of you gape as you walk around the humongous room filled with props and setups that resembled a haunted mansion of an older era - it was quite beautiful really, but something about it made you and takemitchi shiver

first thing everyone noticed, was the huge closet that was locked and required a specific code to undo the chains that held it tightly shut

it was evident that the task was to find out a code somehow, and so each pair began investigating the room

some spoke up when they came across something of mild interest—only to find out it served no real purpose

mikey keeps on mentioning that they should ask for a clue but baji and kazutora claimed they didn’t want to look like pussies just 20 minutes in

a few moments later, chifuyu notices papers sticking out of certain books along the walls; he collects them all and shows his partners to which baji screeches:

“GUYS!!!! THERE’S A BUNCH OF LETTERS HERE!!” 

he waves the pile like a flag and kazutora’s jumping up and down in excitement, shaking baji’s shoulders with a grin

chifuyu, who actually found the letters: lmfao k den bitch

the rest of the group huddles together and split up the letters to read

draken suggests that the numbers hidden within the letters are important for the code: “maybe there’s a specific sequence of some kind? each letter has one number.”

mitsuya’s head perks up and he leaves the group to rummage through something at the back—pah is all like “where are you going? wait where are you going, mitsuya please tell me where you’re going.” BECAUSE THIS MF IS SO LOST LMAOOO

“i found this collection of stamps by the coffee table, each one has a number on it but they’re not numerical order” mitsuya says, offering the box to takemitchi’s open hands

he picks each one up and inspects it closely, the stamps were from 1-5 but as mitsuya had mentioned, they weren’t in order

kazutora grabs them out of takemitchi’s hand with a cheeky grin, “MAYBE they correspond with the numbers in the letters?”

he puffs his chest out, before baji slams his palm flat on it with “YEAH, no shit sherlock. it doesn’t take a fucking genius to assume that.”

everyone just bursts out in laughter as kazutora physically deflates and lays on the ground: “fine, then you guys solve it.”

everyone shoots out possible strategies and solutions, but none of them work out every time you attempt to change the numbers

and baji gets so irritated and starts complaning like "god damn this shit is so hard it's making my ponytail fall apart" LIKE WHAT???

then there's pah: “BRO MY ASS HURTS LIKE HELL!”

“??? then stand up ????” -draken and mitsuya

“WHY WOULD I STAND UP WHEN YOU ARE ALL SITTING DOWN, I’M APART OF THIS TOO.”

you laugh, shaking your head at your friends

but you also find yourself getting increasingly irked as time ticks by

“uhhh you sure we’re not missing something?”

“i don’t know! why don’t you go ask an expert, idiot?”

“EXACTLY!” mikey yells, “let’s ask an expert,” he winks, signalling with his head to the big, bright red clue button on the wall

“it wouldn’t hurt right?” he scrunches his nose, trying to work his so-called adorable looks on the rest of the group

everyone looks around, and no one lets out a single complaint

mikey squeals as he stands, sauntering over to the other side of the room

and just as he raises his hand to press on the button, a loud alarm calls:

“TIME LIMIT REACHED, ESCAPE FAILED. YOU MAY NOW EXIT UPON STAFF INSTRUCTION.”

So they fell in love and Baji suggested to go to a movie but the day got ruined because the movie was stopped halfway. Baji was super disappointed. ♡ you could still remember the first time you laid eyes upon baji. it had been a relatively stressful day for you, given that it had been your first day at a new school. all the people in your class had crowded around you, wondering why there was suddenly an exchange student in the middle of the term. the crowd had been overwhelming, and you were trying to come up with an excuse to leave, starting to feel a bit claustrophobic with all the people who seemed like they were pressing in on you. 

“you guys are being annoying as hell. are ya the paparazzi or somethin’? just scram already.” 

♡ as the people crowding around you started to walk away, muttering to each other, you got a glimpse of your savior. his appearance was quite strange; the boy’s black hair was slicked back in a rather…interesting way, and he had glasses with thick lenses that blocked his eyes. despite his strange appearance, you felt your heart skip a beat for some reason. before you could try and thank him, he scoffed a bit and walked away, his hands in his pockets. 

♡ the next time you had seen the boy, you had been purchasing juice from the vending machine behind the school. the coins that you had been holding in your hand had slipped between your fingers and fallen all over the ground. you’d groaned, already exhausted from the long day, but got down on the ground anyway and began picking up the multitude of coins you’d dropped. 

“this yours?” 

♡ looking up at the familiar voice, you saw a completely different person. it was the same voice as before, but his appearance had changed drastically. his black hair that had been slicked back before was now down, letting you see how long his hair actually was. his thick lensed glasses were nowhere to be found, showing the amber color of his eyes. your heart sped up its pace as you looked away, very aware that you were staring for a little longer than what would be necessary. quickly picking up the rest of your coins from the ground, you stood up, looking at the 5 yen coin between his fingers. 

“uh, yeah, thanks…” 

♡ he didn’t say anything as he handed you the coin, just watching you with a strangely perceptive look. as you began putting your coins into the vending machine, you looked at him occasionally, seeing if he was still watching you. 

“what’s your name?”  “oh! me? uh, it’s (y/n).”  “huh, cool. i’m baji. baji keisuke.” 

♡ it didn’t take long for you two to become a little bit…more than friends before he finally confessed to you, (it was quite cute; he got flowers for you and rather shyly asked you out). the first official date the two of you planned was to go and see a new action movie that had come out. 

♡ baji had planned the entire date for you, even supposedly having a “surprise” for you at the end of the night, which left you feeling quite excited to see him. 

♡ despite the fact that the weather forecast had said there was going to be no rain, when you had stepped outside to meet baji, you were met with a cloudy sky and a light drizzle. nonetheless, the boy was still outside of your door, (albeit a bit soaked from driving his motorcycle) with a smile on his face. 

“i’m sorry…it wasn’t supposed to rain. d’you still wanna go, (y/n)?” “of course!”

♡ so, despite the rain, the two of you got on his bike and he drove to the theater, the light rain getting a bit heavy by the time you got there. your hair had gotten basically drenched, which was disappointing, but it made you feel a little better to see that baji’s hair was also drenched. 

♡ he was a gentleman; opened the door into the theater for you, paid for both of your tickets, paid for your snacks. when you asked him about it, he just mumbled something about how, “it’s just a boyfriend thing” (it made you giggle a bit). 

♡ when you two got settled into your seats and started watching the movie, it all seemed like it was going great! the two of you were whispering lowly about cool scenes and snickering about some of the jokes that were made. 

♡ that is, until the movie suddenly shut off. you and baji looked to each other in confusion, thinking that it was maybe some sort of temporary error. that is, until a worker walked into the front of the theater. 

“hey folks, we’re going through a power outage at the moment because of the storm outside, so we’ll have to ask you all to exit and come back another time.” 

♡ baji had grumbled many grievances and curses under his breath as he grabbed both of your guys’ snacks, a clear look of annoyance on his face as you all filed out. they handed out vouchers for free popcorn and drinks the next time you guys came, but you could tell that it wasn’t enough to improve baji’s mood. 

♡ the two of you ended up sitting on a bench outside of the theater, just covered enough by the awning that the rain wasn’t falling on the two of you. 

“hey, keisuke, what’s wrong?”  “nothin’...”  “you really think you can get away with that?” 

♡ your hand gently grabbed hold of his, smoothing your fingers over his knuckles as you looked at him, a bit of worry in your eyes. his hair was covering his face, so you couldn’t even see what kind of expression he was making. 

“‘s just, i dunno, everything got ruined…”  “keisuke, what do you mean? i still had a lot of fun!”  “but there’s all this rain, and the movie even got canceled halfway through…and you got all rained on ‘cause of my bike…”  “okay, and even though that all happened, it didn’t matter to me because i was with you.” 

♡ baji leaned back, finally revealing his face to you. even though you could tell there was a little bit of sadness still, there was a slight flush to his cheeks and ears as he glanced over at you. you giggled at his flushed face, leaning over to lightly press your lips against his heated cheek. 

“do you wanna run over into the diner and get milkshakes?”  “hell yeah.”

warnings: alcohol and a very hammered reader. the boys are more responsible than you <3

this is one of the rare occurrences wherein MIKEY actually shares his food. when you’ve finally given up on fighting him for the last bottle of alcohol, you start whining about your sudden hunger so he slides his plate of nachos over to you. he watches you eye it for a second before you drag your gaze up to him. “i have a boyfriend you know?” you tell him, your attempt to be menacing coming out pathetically as the attitude dripping from your tone is dampened by your slurred speech. mikey doesn’t need the club to be well lit. the strobe lights already illuminate your face enough for him to get a clear view of your glassy eyes and flushed cheeks. “i know,” he confirms with a tinge of exasperation, “because it’s me. mikey. your boyfriend.” he emphasizes his last words, his last effort to knock some sense into you but you only let out a cackle which catches him off guard. “nice try but mikey never shares his food.”

“that’s enough.” DRAKEN snatches the last of your many drinks for the night before you can gulp it down. being the perceptive boyfriend he is, he can already hear the complaint that’s about to slip from your tongue so he’s quick to pull you by the wrist, up from your seat and out the door. “where are you taking me?” you ask as clearly as your drunken state can let you—not so much but enough for your boyfriend to understand. “home.” at his curt reply, you yank your hand from his grip with a strength that startles even toman’s former vice president. “what the hell are you doing?” draken hisses lest you make a scene in public. “i’m calling my boyfriend,” you warn him, “bet he can kick your ass.” “yeah? i’d like to see him try.” he dismisses your empty threat, reaching for you once more to guide you to the exit but upon hearing a few whispers from prying strangers who are clearly getting the wrong idea, he stops in his tracks and turns to no one in particular, no longer caring about whatever commotion he may cause as his voice booms over the loud music: “i’m the boyfriend!”

“let me go!” you relentlessly thrash around, yelling out threats of calling your boyfriend, while BAJI—the boyfriend in question—pulls you into an empty alleyway to avoid any possible public humiliation for the both of you. “fuck,” he huffs out a breath, “when did you get this strong?” some time in the night, he’s tuned you out telling him off, on a sole mission to stop you from drinking more than you already have. and he’s relieved he managed to get you out of the bar—that is until he hears a weird noise coming from you. “wh-” baji doesn’t get the chance to utter a single word as you begin to throw up. in a panic, he hastily puts your hair up with his spare tie before rubbing soothing circles on your back. your hair looks real messy, he notes, but that’s the least of his worries. “you feeling better?” he checks on you after a while, only to be met by more retching, making him grumble to himself, “and i get an earful when i drink too much.”

MITSUYA is helping you get on your feet—sweet boyfriend he is—but as soon as you find your footing, you give him a hefty shove. “i have a boyfriend, jackass!” you seethe, too drunk to recognize him, and all he can do is sigh as he regains his balance. “yes. me.” something clicks in your brain at his response and you squint your eyes to get a better look at him. “takashi?” “hi, love.” and just like that, you perk up, your mouth stretching into a wide grin. “taka,” you squeal, excitement coursing through your veins when you recognize your boyfriend, “hiiiii~” he laughs at the shift in your tone and takes the opportunity to slide an arm around your waist once more. “let’s get you home okay?” “mhm.” you wrap your arms around him and he lifts you with ease. mitsuya assumes you’re fast asleep until a few minutes later, you mumble something against his skin, “someone tried to flirt with me but i said no.” a chuckle bubbles past his lips as he adjusts his hold on you. “really?” “mhm,” you nod into his neck as you snuggle closer, “i only love you.” “i love you more.” “love you most,” you reply before soft snores fall from your lips and your breathing evens out.

you’re rambling about RINDOU to rindou himself, going on and on about the reasons that made you fall in love with him. and while you’re occasionally interrupted by your hiccups, he patiently listens to your every word then he hears a “but.” the ways you describe him next are less flattering, less romantic—how he tries so hard to act indifferent to your cooing as if the tips of his ears don’t instantly turn red. or how he has a permanent scowl etched on his face. and other things you already tell him even when you’re sober. “he’s really lucky he doesn’t have any wrinkles yet,” you add with a giggle. “you’re really annoying when you’re drunk, you know that?” rindou deadpans. despite the lack of lighting in the club, he doesn’t miss the shock washing over you, your eyes getting mistier by the second. “what?” your voice comes out shaky and your bottom lip starts to wobble, making rindou release another groan. “for fuck’s sake.”

in spite of your insistence to stay at the club, RAN easily managed to drag you to his car. this isn’t his first rodeo. as an older brother, he has had to deal with rindou when he was blackout drunk. “where are we going?” you mumble as you begin to stir in the passenger seat. “home.” “i wanna see ran.” your boyfriend throws you a quick glance—your eyes remain closed and the rest of your words are incomprehensible—before he focuses back on the road. amused by your drunken state, he plays along. “alright, we’re going to ran.” the stretch of silence that follows is cut short when you speak again, “i’m thirsty.” so ran makes a quick stop at a convenience store, coming back shortly with a bottle in hand. he unscrews the cap before he gives you the drink, “careful.” you take a big gulp, instantly grimacing at the taste and it elicits a snort from your boyfriend. “what is this?” “water.”

“want more,” you slur. across from you, HANMA watches as you clumsily reach for the empty shot glasses on the table, flipping them upside down as if more alcohol will magically appear. he’s not going to lie—he finds it funny. entertaining, even. and if the circumstances were any different, he would’ve even encouraged this behavior. but he’s your boyfriend now and if there’s one thing he truly cares about, it’s you. drunk out of your wits, you don’t notice when hanma slides out of the booth until he’s soon presenting two more glasses to you. even though the contents are the same, he asks you to choose, “which one?” “hmm… that.” before you can get your hands on your drink, hanma intercepts and downs it in one go. you’re about to protest when he throws you over his shoulder and chugs the other drink out of your sight before heading for the exit. “let’s go.”
