Wolfbound [Baekhyun Wolf AU]
Pairing: Alpha!Baekhyun x Omega!OC AU: Wolf/ABO Genres: Romance, Supernatural Warnings: Violence, smut in later chapters Click here to read the first chapter: Link
✨✨ The natural hierarchy among werewolves is based on a simple concept. Alphas are the strongest, ruling over betas and omegas, the rarest and weakest wolves in society. Life as an omega is difficult, as Chohee knows from experience. Exposed to the whims of her callous alpha, Yejun, she decides to risk everything in a dangerous escape from his pack, breaking his power over her. She flees through several territories, injured and alone, until a fateful encounter changes her plans. Chohee runs right into her soulmate, Baekhyun, an alpha she fears from the very first moment. When she ends up at Baekhyun’s home, dependent on his protection to survive, the young omega struggles against her fate. She refuses to submit to another alpha, fearing history to repeat itself. A single bite from her soulmate would seal their bond and leave her chained to him forever… ✨✨✨
Author's Note: This is my most recent story concept! If you've read my vampire AU Spellbound, you'll probably enjoy Wolfbound as well. The characters' appearances in this AU are inspired by the Exist photoshoot. <3 I can't wait to explore the alpha/omega dynamic with this fic! I wrote a wolf AU before, but not involving a wolf OC, so this will be interesting. The first chapter is already online and can be read on Asianfanfics: Wolfbound. As usual, I won't post individual chapters of my longer stories on tumblr.

wolf bbh and g (obsessed with the title for this letter being "good boy" lol just imagine calling wolf bbh that 🤣), t, and b? ily queen
Ahahaha I feel like he would be absolutely CUTEST PUPPY GOODEST BOY EVER
G - Good boy - What soothes them when they start to lose control?
When his wolf nature starts to take over, Baekhyun will start losing any humane bits even in his human form. So a good way to ground him back to reality is to treat him and comfort him like a human. If you display any fear of him, it will freak him out. But if you show affection and try to be close to him, he'll become vulnerable and putty in your hands. I believe the best way is to take control over the situation and guide him into his safe zone. Because the truth is, he's lost and doesn't know how to handle the situation - he will let you do anything if you show him that you know what to do.
T - Territory - Are they territorial? Be it in regard to the place they live in, or the people they associate with (friends, lover).
Baekhyun has a lot of wolfish instincts written into his personality. In general, a lot of his decisions will be strictly dictated by his pack. If he feels like protecting the territory is his obligation at the moment, he will do it. But if the pack decides to give something up, he will simply follow.
However, things differ when it comes to his lover, as he becomes much more independent and mature when he has someone that, pretty much, can't defend themselves. It becomes his personal priority and responsibility to take care of you, and he can get quite jealous and territorial.
B - Bitemark - Are they in any way animalistic towards their lover?
He would love to, but it just wouldn't end well, and it's biting (KEKW) at him.
As mentioned before, Baekhyun acts on instinct, so things like chomping for fun or jumping on top of you are something he will do without thinking. But he needs to learn that some of those may actually hurt you.
Unfortunately, as much as he understands the difference between human and non-human behaviors, he cannot really tell how much of the non-human ones he can let himself do. So once he comes to the realization that he can't behave this way with you, he will need to suppress all of these. But he's in absolute awe at how weak and fragile human body can be.
Pssst... I did it SFW but if you'd like it NSFW, hmu because I wouldn't mind writing down some scenario now that Wolf Baek is around

Why am I only stumbling upon this now? 🥲 I loooove wolf aus so much. Writing them, reading them, daydreaming them lmao
Cheering for you, Alaina!! This is the doctor’s orders (don’t ask what kind of doctor I’m seeing tho 🤣) And gosh did I giggle at Jongin’s cameo at the end lol If I were him, I’d walk home tbh. Poor thing 😂
Moon Rise
Summary: Baekhyun reaches his breaking point with you. Pairing: wolf!Baekhyun x reader Word count: 3.5k Rating: M Genre: Paranormal, Wolf AU, Smut Warnings: Dom!Baekhyun, unprotected sex, impreg kink, possessive thoughts, biting with a brief mention of blood
A/N: This was meant to be one of four different oneshots posted for Spooktober. That didn’t happen. So having found the will to write for NaNoWriMo, I finished it and figured someone might like it. I dedicate this to you. Enjoy!
It was unbearably muggy in Baekhyun’s car. You contemplated rolling the window down just enough to let out some of the steam rolling off his body. It wasn’t fair. Just because he was a walking heater didn’t mean you had to suffer like this in the dead of winter.
Fuck it. You were willing to take your chances.
“Roll it back up,” Baekhyun barked. “You’ll catch a cold, _____.”
“It’s just a crack!” You gestured to the window. “You’re killing me here. And how much longer do we have to wait for him, anyway?” The “him” in question being Jongin.
Baekhyun rolled his neck, bones popping in his shoulders as he forced himself to relax, to not lay hands on you. “As long as we need to. You said you wanted to come along. You’re here. Now be patient.”
You groaned as loud and annoyingly as possible. It was driving Baekhyun up the fucking wall. You wouldn’t sit still and each time you squirmed in your seat, he got a whiff of your divine heat. He could barely keep his wolf in check. Yeah, you knew what he was, what he could turn into, but he valued your friendship, your acceptance.
So dragging you into his lap and fucking you full of his pups was not in the cards.
No matter how badly he wanted it.
Damn.

[Tales from the Pack] Jeonghan: Sold (Part One)
Characters: Jeonghan x female reader (this part has no mention of reader tho hehe sorry!!)
Genre/warnings: werewolf au, fantasy, angst, loooots of mentions of the black market/human trafficking, people in cages, just a lot of bad things happening here lmao
Word count: 1,555
Summary: If Jooyeon and Baekhyun never went snooping around the black market, they would’ve never discovered the human trafficking ring and wanted to help. They would’ve never discovered you inside one of the many cages full of people, and Jeonghan would’ve never went against the alphas and demanded they help. But for you, Jeonghan would do anything, even if it means bringing back trouble from a past he never knew about.
a/n: everyone thought i gave up on tftp BUT I DIDN'T i just haven't gotten a chance to really sit down and work on anything BUT FINALLY HERE IT IS!!!! updates will be slow btw please be patient with me <3
Next | Sold Masterlist
Wonwoo told her no. Hell, even Danbi told her no. But what were they supposed to do when Baekhyun scoffed and said, “It’s fine, I’ll go with her. Let’s go, kid.”
So now they were awkwardly standing toward the edge of the market, acting like they were perusing the stands but they were actually keeping an eye out to see if Baekhyun and Jooyeon would return. It wasn’t that they didn’t trust Baekhyun to keep the younger girl safe, but it was that anything could happen to them where they’d gone. The black market was a lawless land.
“What’s that over there?” Jooyeon had pointed out as they group got closer toward the secluded area of the market that nobody really went toward.
There was a slight disconnect between the market the pack typically browsed in, and the illegal and shady one. If one wasn’t paying attention, they might wander straight into the black market – which had already happened before and was why Jooyeon became so curious in the first place – but it was clear that a lot of people didn’t go over toward the black market, and a lot of things were being kept hidden for a reason.
Such as the large tent made out of tarps that was put up toward the back corner, and it had caught Jooyeon’s eye since it was something different.
“I don’t know, but there’s a lot of sound coming from inside,” Baekhyun mumbled as he tried to focus in on the tarps.
And now they were off investigating while Wonwoo and his sister worried sick over them. Wonwoo was doing his best to try and stay focused on their sounds, but it was difficult with them so far away and a lot going on between them. There were too many people and things that were starting to drown them out.
The Jeon siblings thought it was a nice coincidence that they had run into Baekhyun at the market. He said he was just wandering around, trying to find something to do to pass the time because he was bored out of his mind. But they should’ve considered that the older wolf and the young thief would’ve been a match made in Hell. Then again, neither sibling thought Jooyeon would want to suddenly go investigate the black market of all things.
Wonwoo spotted them first, and his head fully whipping around to watch them was what caught Danbi’s attention. The pair were hurrying back toward them, Jooyeon in front even though Baekhyun was definitely faster, but he seemed to be gently pushing her to go faster. The looks on their faces said it all: they saw something they shouldn’t have.
That, or, Danbi and Wonwoo also needed to run.
“We need to get to Junmyeon,” Baekhyun said hurriedly before the pair were even close enough for Danbi to hear them.
But Wonwoo heard and his eyebrows furrowed, “Why, what’s wrong? What happened?”
“I’ll explain later,” the older man gestured with his head for the siblings to follow before he started in the direction of his home. “Let’s go.”
But Jooyeon didn’t catch the conversation and told Danbi and Wonwoo with wide eyes, “There’s people in cages in there. A lot of them.”
“Are they alive?” Wonwoo questioned.
“Yeah,” Baekhyun’s short laugh was dry and void of any humor, “and that’s kinda scaring me more than if they were dead.”
-
A knock at the door. Seungcheol was already dreading it because it was a knock. It wasn’t just somebody coming right in like Jooyeon and the Jeon siblings would if it was them coming home from the market. A knock meant a stranger or it meant the trio got themselves into trouble.
He recognized Junmyeon’s scent, and he probably would’ve sensed his arrival had he not been helping calm Jiwoo down after a meltdown over her toy wooden train getting stuck underneath the couch. He also sensed Jooyeon, and he could sense the siblings as well.
He let out a deep sigh as he swung open the door.
Before Junmyeon could even say anything, the younger alpha’s golden eyes landed on his mate, “What did you do?”
“Oh, don’t worry,” Junmyeon chuckled, “Baekhyun did it, too.”
“We didn’t do anything,” Danbi assured him before breezing by him and into the house with her brother following, slightly bowing his head toward his alpha as he went.
“Can we come in?” Junmyeon asked, Dae by his side with you and Baekhyun standing there looking like children in trouble. “This news might be…a lot.”
Seungcheol stood to the side and gestured for the quad to enter, shooting his mate a scolding look as she followed Junmyeon and Daisy into the house.
“I didn’t even get in trouble!” she huffed. “Why are you mad at me?”
“You were escorted home by Junmyeon. That’s reason enough. That means something happened.”
“Something did happen, yes,” Junmyeon confirmed as they went to sit in the living room.
Of course, hearing the commotion, the rest of the pack began to gather.
“Thankfully, they weren’t spotted or followed,” he continued.
“The fact that he said that means you did something you weren’t supposed to,” Seungcheol pointed out to his mate.
As Junmyeon took a seat on one of the couches, he let out a sigh. Dae sat down beside him, silently waving to some of the wolves and mates as they entered, still smiling despite what Baekhyun had told their pack when they arrived at his house.
“Jooyeon and Baekhyun may have discovered a human trafficking ring,” Junmyeon stated bluntly.
Everyone was shocked hearing that. It was the last thing they expected to hear, actually. Some let out soft gasps and others began murmuring, wondering what kind of trafficking and how they could’ve found it.
Seungcheol’s eyes widened, threatening to bulge out of his head. Then his widened eyes went to Jooyeon.
“What were you thinking?!” he exclaimed. “How many times have I had to explicitly tell you not to go anywhere near the black market?! Why the hell would you go against me?! Shin Jooyeon, you could’ve been caught and thrown into it!”
Baekhyun held up a hand to get Seungcheol to stop yelling, “To be fair, I wasn’t the best influence. She wanted to go and I said I’d go with her.”
“And what, I’m supposed to tell Baekhyun no?” Wonwoo asked.
“How did you discover this…trafficking ring?” Jihoon wondered.
“I noticed this big tent made out of tarps that wasn’t there before. I got curious,” she shrugged. “So we snuck over and there was a little tear in one of them and Baekhyun peeked through and saw all these people in cages.”
“There was maybe…about six people to a cage? Their clothes looked dirty and they all looked like hell,” Baekhyun elaborated. “I think they’re just barely being kept alive. And they all have collars on.”
“As sad as that is,” Minghao began, “...why did you come here to tell us about it?”
Jeonghan nodded with a shrug, “Respectfully, if it doesn’t have to do with us, we’d rather stay away from trouble. We’ve been in enough of it.”
“Well, that’s kind of exactly why,” Junmyeon chuckled. “I wanted to see if your pack would be willing to help them escape, or if we decide the situation should be left alone. I’d hate to let a bunch of innocent people go through that, but I also don’t know if I’m willing to risk my pack’s lives for something that doesn’t really involve us. Getting caught in the Capitol is even more dangerous than getting caught in any old town.”
“Especially in the black market,” Jihoon added.
“But…” Kyung paused like she knew she would get backlash for what she was about to say, “can we live with ourselves knowing there’s a human trafficking ring going on and we did nothing to stop it?”
“No offense, but didn’t a ton of your old pack die from trying to help people?” Soonyoung asked a little too bluntly, but it was apparent he wasn’t purposefully trying to sound snappy.
Kyung looked at him, “Remind me who helped your pack at your old house and even died for one of your brothers?”
Soonyoung’s cheeks dusted pink as he realized how rude he sounded and he mumbled a, “Right, sorry…”
“Okay, Kyung has a point,” Seungcheol admitted. “Honestly…I’d feel really shitty if we didn’t try to help.”
“I get that, but is it even worth the risk?” Jihoon asked.
“Maybe we go scope it out,” Hansol suggested with a shrug. “See how difficult it would be to execute a giant prison breakout. If it’s too dangerous, we can sleep better at night knowing we wouldn’t have been able to handle it.”
Seungcheol looked to the other three alphas. They all looked between each other and shrugged before looking to Junmyeon for his take.
“Sounds alright to me,” he decided. “When should we go?”
“Probably as soon as possible,” Jihoon guessed. “Who knows how long they’ll be kept there, right? They might be getting sold one at a time or maybe somebody already bought them all and they’re there for safe keeping until they can get picked up.”
“So, tonight?” Soonyoung asked.
Seungcheol looked back at Junmyeon, “Tonight?”
“Tonight works,” he nodded. “We’ll meet you there at midnight.”

A Manor of Shadow and Blood
Genre: Regency Gothic AU
Pairing: EXO x Reader
Summary: A stormy night brought you to the manor in the middle of the woods. Nine strange men occupied its halls. They won’t let you leave. A dangerous secret haunts this estate. Learning it might either be your saving grace or it could lead to the last breath you ever take.
Part: 1 I 2 I 3 I 4 I 5
**
Leaning against the faded brick of the manor inspecting his cuticles was the one you remembered as Baekhyun.
"You've hardly cared in the past," Jongdae said drily. He shifted so subtly and minutely that you would have missed it if you hadn't been looking at him, silently pleading for protection. And, for some reason, he'd given it to you. That small shift was enough for him to come between you and Baekhyuon.
"We haven't had this kind of excitement for a while." Baekhyun leaned to his left so he could see you. "Enjoying the moonlight?"
"That seems to be a normal activity in this place,” you murmured. Jongdae sent a rather pointed look in your direction. The message was clear. Speaking was not wise.
The left corner of Baekhyun's mouth curled upwards. "Mind if I join you?"
"You don't have an errand to run?" Jongdae raised an expectant brow.
A deep, rumbling chuckle slowly escaped from Baekhyun's lips. He leaned forward menacingly. "Already done."
Jongdae released a sigh full of resignation. His gaze moved to you. If protest was to be given, then it had to come from you. But fear kept the two-letter word from passing your lips.
Gathering your skirt in your hands, you said nothing as you passed both of the men and continued on your walk. They quickly fell into step on either side of you. No one spoke, letting the silence become the norm as you took in the manor from a new angle. But it was difficult to focus.
On your right, you could feel Baekhyun's closeness. One inch separated an accidental brush of fingers. The flutter of his loose sleeve continuously caught your attention. A wind had picked up, moving the distracting fabric even more. Giving in to your peripheral, you watched Baekhyun as he stretched his neck from side to side, his grin now gone. The long lithe fingers of his right hand gently massaged the soft skin.
"Are you injured?"
The idiotic question was out before you could think it through. Jongdae, apparently done with the protector role, shook his head with a huff and roll of his eyes. Baekhyun's earlier demeanor returned in force. No longer walking, Baekhyun shifted his body and gradually leaned in.
"Why? Do you want to... take care of me?"
"No," you said sharply, trying to make your voice a cracking whip. It was the wrong approach. His grin grew and something flashed behind his lips. Your eyes refused to leave his own. He came closer. No matter how hard you willed it, your feet refused to move.
"Baekhyun."
At the soft, confident call of his name, Baekhyun backed away, a rather... grumpy expression on his face.
Junmyeon approached the group with his usual authoritative air, hands clasped behind his back and hair somewhat tousled. "Will I have to keep an eye on all of you at all times?" he asked in a very exasperated voice. His gaze narrowed in on Baekhyun. "Don't you have an errand to run?"
Baekhyun straightened, gleefully replying, "Already done."
Junmyeon didn’t waver. "Go find another."
Slackjawed, Baekhyun glanced at Jongdae for a possible retort. When he gave no protest, Baekhyun turned to you, as if you would protest his dismissal. Quite the contrary, you were thankful for it.
Knowing he'd lost, Baekhyun whirled quickly on his boots before stomping away.
"Jongdae," Junmyeon moved in closer. "I'd like to speak to her alone."
Not caring for this sudden dismal towards him, Jongdae shrugged and held the bag of buns out for you.
"No, thank you,” you said bitterly. He was abandoning you to the most terrifying wolf. The food already in your stomach churned and threatened to come up again at the thought of being alone with Junmyeon. What would he do with no witnesses to intervene?
Your acidic response slid right off of Jongdae. Swinging the bag by his side, he walked away without a second thought for you.
"There's still some path around the house,” Junmyeon said, suddenly appearing by your side, his elbow offered out for you. When you didn't accept his elbow, he took possession of your hand and held it hostage in the crook of his arm.
You would be going with him whether you found it agreeable or not.
"I want to apologize for keeping you here," he said rather cooly, as if he were apologetic about missing dinner.
You scoffed at the heartless comment. "The only true apology would be to let me go."
"That was my original intention."
You stopped just before the turn around the corner. With the hold he had on your hand, Junmyeon's steps also came to a halt."You– You were going to let me go?" Your throat constricted. What had happened to snatch your freedom away so quickly? "Then why keep me?"
Junmyeon sighed and forced you to continue the walk. "We took care of you for the days you were sick with fever and realized we've been missing a feminine touch around here. It brings out the better sides of us."
You didn’t believe him for a second. "The better side of you? I hate to see the lesser side."
He leveled his eyes with you, his features hardened like stone. "No one is to touch you."
"Really?" You scoffed. "Should I list the few incidents just in the past twenty-four hours?"
Junmyeon’s eyes flashed. "Sehun has been reprimanded. That won't happen again."
"And Mr. Yixing?"
"Mr. Yixing? What about him?" He blinked, confused.
"He was in my room last night."
"What!" His voice cracked like the lightning before the storm rolled in. You flinched at his severe reaction. Realizing your face was full of fear, he composed himself. His voice came out more gentle. "He will be reprimanded. No one is to go into your room without permission." A frown knitted his brow. "Is that why you fortified the door?"
You swallowed, forgetting that he had tried to enter earlier this evening. "Yes. Yes, it is."
The way he nodded gave you reason to believe that…. Well, that he might actually be listening.
"No one will ever enter your room without permission again," he promised. His leveled gaze made you believe him.
"Even you?" you asked.
His throat visibly constricted, but he didn't argue. "Even me."
As relieved as you were for that promise, you couldn't be entirely ecstatic. "Why keep me here?
The earlier coolness and arrogance of his demeanor had washed away. "I told you. We need a companion."
"We?" You pulled away from him, disgusted. For reasons unknown, he let you slip from his grasp this time. "I'm not something to be passed around for you all to play with."
"Of course not." A ghost of a smile began to cut in the corners of his lips. "You'll choose. In time. Whoever you wish, we are at your disposal. Until then, you’re all our guest."
"That doesn't make any sense,” you pushed. "You're all fine gentlemen." In looks anyway. Manners was an entirely different discussion. "Surely by the end of the season in town, you can all find a suitable wife."
"We... have our reasons," he said slowly. "Your traditional ways aren't suited for us."
"My traditional ways?" What could that possibly mean?
Junmyeon didn’t explain. He merely took your hand and pressed cool lips to your knuckles.
"In time, you will come to see the truth. Until then, no harm will come to you." He turned your hand over and gave another kiss to your wrist. Letting you go, he walked away, his promise still lingering behind.
On the edge of the gardens, a small swing made of a simple plank of wood and two long ropes hung from a mighty tree. It whispered a minute comfort. Not having been on one since your childhood, you were wary of sitting on the sun faded seat, unsure if the fringed ropes would hold your grown woman weight.
There was no governess or wealthy aunt around to warn you of snagging your dress with such unladylike behavior. With cautious movements, you slowly turned and sat on the swing. The ropes didn't snap.
Not wanting to test your luck, you didn't push yourself into full motion. No, you simply kept your toes on the ground, shifting only slightly from side to side.
It was peaceful here, in this tucked away corner between the manor and maze-like hedges of the garden. No one else seemed to be around and that allowed you space to think. This was to be your home for... a longtime, it would appear. The negatives were more than obvious. So much that dwelling on them was pointless. That meant you needed to try and find a good thing in this situation.
Your aunt.
Well, that was easy.
While she wasn't really a terrible human being, having to serve as her companion wasn't pleasant. Every whim of hers had to be met, the truth of your dowry hung over your head. And she could be as demanded as the Queen. Her holiday was not to be your holiday.
And then there was the matter of your future.
It wasn't that you didn't want to get married–you did. But you wanted love, passion. You wanted fire in your blood and yearning that could never be quenched. You wanted to know what it was like to be desperate for another person’s touch. Someone who looked at you with a gaze that sent your heart racing. Perfectly adequate was not what you wanted.
Perfectly adequate was what your aunt was planning for you. Perhaps even less than adequate.
The rustling of nestled branches pulled you from your depressive, lonely thoughts. Kyungsoo had emerged from the garden hedges, his boots crunching to a halt on the rocky path. He stared at you with a horrified expression. The first bit of emotion you'd seen from him and it was accompanied by widened eyes and tightened lips. Was there something wrong with you merely sitting here?
The one called Chanyeol appeared behind him. His gaze was more on the friendly side, something resembling a smile sent over to you. He took a step to start your way, but Kyungsoo grabbed a hold of his sleeve and dragged him away.
"Don't mind Kyungsoo, he avoids us all at one time or another."
Jongdae suddenly chopped from the branches, landing on his feet beside you. Standing from the seat, you glowered at him. "You've come back, have you?"
"If Junmyeon wishes to speak with you alone, then I'll give him that wish." His tone suggested that Junmyeon's wishes were met more like commands.
"Well," you huffed, "then please obey my wish to be alone right now."
Jongdae bowed deeply yet mockingly. He stayed behind, watching as you retreated back into the house.
Shoving the door closed, you leaned back against the wooden barrier that separated the main hall from the outside world. Only a few days ago, you had stumbled through those very doors, desperate for sanctuary. As insane as it sounded, perhaps you were given a bit more of a sanctuary than you had asked for.
With a new resignation, you continued forward until you reached the main parlor on your left.
The room was empty. Signs of recent usage were scattered amongst the furniture. Red stained goblets, chairs pushed away from the card table, a blanket half falling from an armchair. Thin slivers of moonlight broke through the heavy curtains, cutting across the floor like knives shattering the darkness.
You stepped in further, drawn in by the grand piano off in the far left corner. It was so large it took up nearly a fourth of the room. Its black coat shimmered, even with your dull eyes. Someone loved this instrument, that was certain. They kept it polished and tuned. The ivory keys beckoned to create music.
But you didn’t know how. Of all of the lessons to educate you that you latched onto, the piano had not been one. Still….
You jumped at the piercing sound of the plucked cord, a quiet gasp passing your lips. Your finger had pressed down on its own accord. Eyes frantically searched behind you, but none of the men appeared. You brushed your fingers along the keys, astonished by their softness. If only you could play the songs you knew in your heart.
A hand suddenly covered yours. Several keys screeched at your second jump.
Chanyeol didn’t apologize for scaring you or say anything gentle at all. Your mouth went dry in worry as he removed his cool hand from yours. You watched as he rolled the sleeves of his black silk shirt up to his elbows. He didn’t look up at you. He sat down on the bench and began to play.
For a moment, you simply stood and listened. But you needed to be closer. Closer to the music, to the beauty that was being created before you. The remainder of the bench was under you before he could second guess. Your eyes fluttered close as the notes drifted up from the piano and wrapped around you, protective, whispering sweet nothings in your ear like nothing you had heard before. They were a lover, a comfort. You could lose yourself in that melody forever.
The song too soon faded to an end. Your eyes remained closed, desperate to hold on.
“Did you like it?” Chanyeol whispered. His deep voice was so low you almost missed it. All you could do to answer was nod. Coldness touched your cheek. Your eyes snapped open.
Chanyeol was only an inch or so away, his dark eyes staring not at your own gaze, but lower. He ran his tongue over his lips. All you could do was breathe.
You'll choose. In time. Whoever you wish, we are at your disposal.
The fingers against your cheek drifted down and brushed against your collar bone.
In a blink, he was gone, only the ghost of his touch and the echo of the melody left behind.
Your breath quickened in panic. Jumping from the bench, you ran out into the hallway. The barely visible back of Chanyeol was on the edge of darkness.
“Wait!” you called out to him. “Mr. Chanyeol, wait!”
He paused. Then slowly turned around so his face, half covered in shadow, was to you.
“Play it again,” you begged. You wanted to hear more. Needed to hear more. And, he didn’t scare you. Not in this moment. You had been wanting to discover a story for yourself that you had read a thousand times. Perhaps, this could be the beginning.
A shining smile growing on his face, Chanyeol nodded and came back to you for another song.
*****
Chanyeol played for hours, never tiring or stumbling over the keys. Every note came from within himself. He never pulled out a single piece of sheet music. Each time one song ended, he paused only long enough to seek approval from you for another before beginning the next.
For most of the concert, you sat in silent appreciation, but occasionally, you risked speaking to ask about the piece he was currently playing. Nearly all were his own compositions.
"How have you had time to write all of these?" you asked as the newest song came to a close.
His fingers paused on the last keys, elongating the notes in a way that felt out of place. Throughout his playing, he had looked at you to gauge your reactions. But now he kept his eyes on the instrument, his brow furrowed.
"I've had a lot of time," he said quietly. "All the time I could have asked for." He lifted his hand from the keys and stretched his fingers, curling them inward and then back out again.
You laughed light-heartedly." You look hardly eight and twenty,"
"Have you been composing your whole life?" A forced smile pulled tightly at his lips.
"For a very long time."
You frowned at the cryptic answer. But your stomach prevented you from pushing another question onto him. The gurgling sound was soft, but enough to bring your hand to your stomach.
"Oh, that's right," Chanyeol chuckled softly. "I forgot you have to eat."
"Yes, I do that on occasion." The memory of his lack of dinner the other night brewed in your mind. And he said “you have to eat”. Not “we”. Was it merely a slip of the tongue? "Will you show me the kitchen?"
"The kitchen?" he echoed.
You nodded. "Yes. I don't need a full meal. Some bread, cheese, and salted meat would suffice."
"Oh, erm." He stood from the bench somewhat clumsily. "Actually, you stay here and I’ll fetch you some food."
"But-”
He was gone before your tongue could click on the “T”.
"Well, humph." That was abrupt. It wasn’t as if you had asked to see the coffers. You merely asked to go to the kitchen.
Many times at home you had prepared your own midday meal. There were obviously no servants around here. What could be wrong with you entering a measly kitchen? You had half a mind to go try and find it yourself, but... you were hungry. And if you got lost, it could be a decent amount of time before you were able to eat. You could always search another time.
Standing up from the bench, you wandered over to one of the tables still holding a dirty goblet. Remnants of deep red wine stained the inside of the glass.
At first glance, the drying liquid looked like any dry red wine you'd seen a hundred times. But there was something odd about the way it coated the glass. The thick red stain it left behind....
You wiped a finger around the inside and brought the coating closer to your vision. There was a stickiness to it that was different from your previous experiences with spilling the nightly drink. And the color... it was richer, more striking red than a deep purple. A color you had seen time and time again. You pressed the finger to your tongue. And immediately spat the taste out.
Blood.
It was undeniably blood mixed in the wine. What the hell were these men?
"Do you insist on being everywhere?"
You stumbled back from the deep voice, your hand colliding with the goblet. The delicate cup flew off the table towards the hardwood floor. Before it could shatter As a million pieces, a hand snatched hold off the goblet.
Kyungsoo didn't replace the goblet onto the table. He stared at you with a hardened expression. His dark eyes like hickory seemed filled with shadow.
"What are you?" you whispered, your heart beating so fast it was traveling up your throat.
Blood, reflexes, cold breath.
Things that weren't human yet familiar to you anyway. Somewhere in the back crevices of your childhood.
Kyungsoo leaned in, forcing you back until you stumbled into one of the chairs.
"What are we?" he scoffed mockingly. His top lip curled upward, revealing unnaturally long canines. "Figure the monster out for yourself."
Fear charged through you like a prized stallion. You scrambled past him to get away, tripping over the hem of your dress as you fled. Chanyeol reappeared in the entrance, two others by his side and a tray of the exact morsels you had asked for laid out in an intricate picture in his hands. But you didn't pause long enough to appreciate it. You ran from the room, their confusion in your wake.
You ran until you reached the sanctuary of your room. You shoved all you could in front of your door to keep them out, keep them all out.
Reflexes, grace fullness, nighttime.
Blood, cold breath... fangs.
Not human.
Monster.
That was what Kyungsoo had said. Had called himself. You were in a house of monsters. But what kind of monsters?
Gathering the blanket from the floor, you crawled onto the bed and buried yourself under the fabric shield. Immediately, the air grew hot, but still you folded in on yourself, your arms tight around your shoulders. Eyes squeezed shut, you wondered how you ended up here, what you had done to deserve it.
You prayed silent prayers that you make it simply through the night.

Might Alpha 2
➻ Pairings: Chanyeol x Reader
➻ Genre: Romance, Wolf Au
➻ Additional: destined mates
➻ Word Count: 1.5K
➻ Warnings: N/A
➻ Author’s notes: This story is cross posted on multiple sites under the same username!
The backlash that came when Baekhyun and Chanyeol denounced their marriage was something that no one expected. They knew their parents would be upset, but the sheer mortification that came from knowing Baekhyun had been with another alpha and never actually slept with Chanyeol was so confusing. The fact that the male was Baekhyun’s destined mate didn't seem to matter to anyone.
While the elders had stayed silent, the parents argued back and forth on how they could rectify the situation, without bothering to listen to the children whose lives they were purposefully trying to ruin for the simple fact that Baekhyun was a gifted male omega with the ability to bear pups. They didn't care that they were trying to break not one, but two bonds. Bonds from the same family.
It confused Soohee, because she remembered very clearly that Chanyeol had said the whole union between Baekhyun and himself was because they trusted Chanyeol and it was a great way for her father to get a foot into the counsel and influence decisions and laws however he saw fit. Chanyeol was going to be the next elder and possibly the next head alpha if he could pass the tests that would challenge his strength, his logic, and his wit. And while she worried about her brother being hurt, she believed the man he was with would never hurt him since they were destined mates. And if her father still wanted that in, if he would just listen to Chanyeol, he would know that they were destined mates.
Soohee had never told her parents or anyone else what happened that night after her party, nor the weekend and the two days after that she was in heat. They were mates, she knew that and still had trouble processing it, but it was a fact she was more than ready to admit. Yet they hadn't mated during her heat, both agreeing that they wanted to wait. Even if they used protection, there wasn't a guarantee it would work or if they would constantly remember the amount of times they would have to have sex. So Chanyeol did his best to pleasure her and help her through her heat and she was so thankful for it. But they still haven't told anyone. Or rather, they were trying, but no one was actually listening to them.
“Well since your son has been defiled, we will find a new mate for Chanyeol. A better and loyal omega!” Mr. Park grunted out.
“What?” Chanyeol asked in shock.
“Excuse me? My son is very much loyal!”
“Lies. He's been defiled by that Chinese vagrant!” Mr. Park growled. “You and your family are so immoral, Mr. Byun, that I'm surprised you're all even allowed to continue to live in this pack. And if your son acts like this, I can't even begin to imagine how your daughter must be, whoring about and asking for any male to fuck her.”
“That’s enough! You are so vile and disgusting, speaking of a child like that!” Mr. Byun shouted.
“Child?! Child?! She's of age now isn't She? But has that ever stopped her? You don't think we don't hear rumors?”
“What? Soohee, what is talking about?” Mr. Byun asked, furious by all the words being thrown around.
“I don't know.” Soohee said. “I don't know of rumors. Dad, it's a lie.” She said.
“Adults don't lie.” Mr. Park snapped at her and she shrunk back. Lies from an adult. She had no idea where he would ever get such information about her. She had never done anything to try and get guys. She had only ever wanted Chanyeol. And even her closest friends knew that.
“If she says there are none, then there aren't.” Mr. Byun growled. “My daughter is perfect! Maybe it’s your son that is the issue!” He fired back. Another round of shouting began and Soohee had heard enough. She slipped out of her chair and did her best to sneak out of the meeting hall. She thought she was very successful and made it outside with a sigh.
“For the love of god. Adults are crazy. I don't want to be an adult.” She whined softly.
“Tell me about it.”
Soohee jumped and looked over at her brother as he came to sit next to her. “Oppa.” She said gently. “Are you okay? Dad and Mr. Park are blowing everything out of proportion.” She said.
“I know.” Baekhyun sighed softly and closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead gently. “Like, why are they like this? The elders always preach about destined mates and not interfering and here they are staying quiet while our parents fight to ruin our lives.”
Soohee stared at him and sighed softly. She reached over and rubbed his back gently and smiled softly. “It'll be okay.” She said softly. “You have your mate. You should go and run off with him. They can't stop you.”
“And leave you?” Baekhyun asked softly. “Disappoint our family? I couldn't.” He said as he looked at her.
“So you'd rather risk your bond with your mate?” Soohee asked and cocked her head. “Oppa, you're not a disappointment. And I'll be fine.”
“Because you have your mate now.” Baekhyun said and smiled weakly at her.
“I….what?”
“Don't play dumb.” Baekhyun laughed softly. “I knew the moment I introduced you to Chanyeol that you two were mates.” He said.
“How?”
“Blue eyes are the sign that an alpha has found their mate and imprinted on them. I saw them that day. I knew and I made him promise me he would never try anything with you until you were old enough.” He said. “I had no idea that this stupid union would be done either.” He said and ran a hand through his hair some before groaning. “I don't know what to do Soohee.”
Soohee frowned as she stared at her brother and was gonna answer when another person joined them.
“Let's go and start our own pack.” Their heads whipped around quickly and stared at Chanyeol in shock. “what?”
“What do you mean what? How can we start our own pack?” Soohee asked, confused. “That's a big task.”
“Yeah and where would we go?” Baekhyun asked and Chanyeol just shrugged.
“Does it matter? We’ll just go somewhere. The four of us establish our own pack. We'll gather packless shifters and shifters wanting a new pack and just start over fresh.” He said.
“Do you...do you think we can do it?” Baekhyun asked.
“Well with Yixing as another alpha, I'm sure we can manage and grow slowly. It might be hard at first. But won't it be worth it?” Chanyeol asked. “They obviously don't care about our wants and needs. Our destinies. So we need to take our lives into our own hands.” He said. His eyes moved from Baekhyun to Soohee and he smiled. He took her hand and held it gently in his, squeezing it gently.
“Chanyeol.” Soohee whispered softly and smiled.
“It'll be worth it.” Baekhyun agreed and smiled softly at them. “Come on. Let's go.” He said and stood. Soohee looked back at her brother and nodded. She stood, pulling at Chanyeol’s hand and making him stand. “I'll meet you two at Yixing’s. Don't take too long, okay?” He said.
They nodded and with quick goodbyes, they parted ways, with Soohee going with Chanyeol because she just needed to be with him. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” Soohee asked as she walked towards Chanyeol’s jeep.
“No. But we have to do what we have to do.” Chanyeol said as he unlocked the doors and climbed into the driver's seat. Soohee sighed and got into the jeep, closing the door before turning to face him.
“Chanyeol, I'm being serious. I'm still a kid. I'm fresh out of high school, just turned 18 and you want to move to some unknown place and start a pack there. It sounds crazy.” She said, “Are you sure this is something you really want?” Her question was directed towards their current decision but there was an undertone of uncertainty about their relationship. Was she really what he wanted?
Chanyeol sighed softly as he slipped the key into the ignition before turning to face her. “Soohee.” He said gently. He scooted over to her and reached out, his fingers stroking her cheeks gently. “I want to be with you, and only you. And if that means we have to go into the future blind, then I will do it. I love you.” He told her and leaned in, pressing their foreheads together gently. “I've loved you for so long and I've waited for so long. Now I have you, I don't ever want to let you go. Please. Stay with me.”
Soohee stared up into his eyes and felt her heart race at how beautiful and gorgeous they were. And probably because of his words, but mostly due to his eyes. “Of course I'll stay with you.” She said gently. “Why wouldn't I when I have been pinning after Mr. Handsome for so long.” She said with a giggle. Chanyeol smiled softly and leaned forward and kissed her softly. It was soft and quick, but she loved it all the same.
“Then let's go. And we'll start a new life together and be happy together.” Chanyeol said gently with a smile. Soohee nodded and smiled softly as they pulled back and Chanyeol started the jeep.
“Everything will be okay, right?” she asked.
“Of course. Trust me.”
~*~
“Dad, no! Stop it! Let me go!” Soohee shouted as she struggled in the grips of a few of the male wolves her father had dragged with him. She wasn't sure how they knew their plans or how to find them, but they did. It was probably just their keen sense of smell. That was the only possible reason she could think of, of how they found them this far out of the city.
“I would expect this kind of thing from Baekhyun, but you? Why Soohee? Why are you going to associate yourselves with these rebels?” Mr. Byun asked as he motioned to her brother. His mate and Chanyeol, all of whom were being detained as well. Though it was taking more people to hold Chanyeol back as he was being scolded so loudly by his father. She could hear every nasty word he was calling her and her brother and she just couldn't take anymore. “Soohee! Answer me!”
“He's my mate!” the words fell from her lips before she could even stop to fully process her train of thought. The announcement seemed to draw the attention of everyone as they all went silent.
“Excuse me?” Mr. Park asked, eyes wide.
“Chanyeol is my mate.” She said softly and jerked herself from the slacking grips of the men. “He is mine, and Baekhyun has found his and the rest of you are acting like spoiled little children!”
“Soohee!”
“No dad! It's true. You all are supposed to be adults, filled with wisdom that's supposed to help guide your children as they become adults and start their own family. And here you both are, two families that don't give a shit about their own children and are just obsessed with whatever power they can have!” She sneered, disgusted.
“Byun, put a stop to her before I do.” Mr. Park warned, but was greeted with a very angry growled and rough shove as Chanyeol tore himself from the four men holding him back. Their strength together was nowhere near a match for Chanyeol’s strength when he really used it, like he had in this case.
“You won't touch her.” Chanyeol growled out as he moved to Soohee and pulled her close to him, his arm wrapped tightly around her waist to protect her. “And she's right. Ever since it was announced what my future status would be, all you or anyone else has ever cared about was that. You held me so high up on a pedestal, out of the reach for anyone you deemed unworthy. You never stopped to ask what I wanted or if I've found my mate. Well, dad, I have. And it's not Baekhyun. It was never Baekhyun and it would be selfish and wrong of me to try and keep him from his own mate.”
“Chanyeol.” Mr. Park floundered for words to speak, but he couldn't even form a decent, coherent sentence.
“We know who we love, who we are meant to be with, and what we're doing is the only way we can be with them. So either you accept this reality or step aside and let us leave.” Everyone was silent for a long while, staring at the two before looking at the two fathers.
“Soohee...there was an agreement…”
“And it can still be upheld. Just not with Baekhyun, but me instead. You can still have whatever it is you want. And the rest of us can be happy. The last thing I've ever wanted to do is leave you and mom but I can't live without him. I don't want to feel our bond break. It'll kill me.” she said softly.
“Don't be so dramatic, it won't kill you if…” Mr. Park started but paused. “You haven't marked her, have you?”
Chanyeol stared at his father intently before moving his hand and lifting her shirt slightly to show the mark he had left on her side. “Three weeks ago, when she went into heat,” he said proudly. “She is mine. Forever.” he announced and pulled her closer as he leaned down slightly to nuzzle her head.
“Dad please.” Baekhyun whispered. “Just let us be happy.”
Mr. Byun looked between his two children and sighed heavily. “We can't fight it now. A bond has been made, I assume for both of them. The elders wouldn’t take too kindly if we destroyed them for selfish reasons.” he sighed. “And it would hurt me to hurt my children, I should have realized that from the beginning.” he said and walked over to Baekhyun as he was finally released. “Are you sure?”
“Yes.” Baekhyun said and smiled. “There is no denying, he is the one.” he said and looked over at Yixing. Mr. Byun sighed, nodded and looked over, waving his hand in signal for Yixing to be released. The silent alpha moved to Baekhyun and hugged him tightly, nuzzling against his neck.
“I suppose I have two unions to prepare for now.” Mr. Byun smiled. “Let's get you all home before your mothers have a fit.”
“Oh...yeah.” Mr. Park cleared his throat. “Chanyeol, I'll need you to-”
“Yeah dad. Don't worry. I'll call her down.” Chanyeol laughed. It was funny to see such a composed man cower in fear at the mention of his angry wife.
~*~
Soohee smiled as she flopped back on her bed, a laugh leaving her as Chanyeol stumbled out of his pants, hopping around to try and kick off the offending garments before finally flinging it across her room. It hit her closed door and he winced before climbing into her bed. “Are you new to taking off pants?” she asked teasingly.
“Oh shut up.” Chanyeol chuckled as he laid down next to her and stared at her face. “It's not my fault you have me tripping over my feet.” he teased and chuckled as she blushed. “You're so cute. You know that?” he asked as he reached out and stroked her head and cheek lightly.
“I can't help but to know it. You tell me all the time.” she said gently as she leaned into the touch. Sighing softly, she leaned in and kissed him, her lips brushing teasingly over his lips every time he dipped in to try and deepen the kiss. A soft giggle left her, followed by Chanyeol’s own growl as he nipped at her bottom lip as Soohee pulled completely back.
“You are such a tease.” Chanyeol groaned and pouted as he stared at her smiling face. “Soohee.” he whined out and Soohee giggled at it. She reached up and poked his nose lightly.
“What?” she asked with a smirk.
“I want a kiss.”
“You just had a kiss.”
“I want another.” he said as he slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her close to him.
“Don't be greedy.” she teased and Chanyeol huffed. “Oh, aren't you so cute?” she said and pinched his cheek lightly.
Chanyeol stared at her with narrowed eyes and huffed again before he leaned in and captured her lips in a deep and passionate kiss. Soohee giggled slightly into the kiss before melting into it, pressing herself against him tightly. Everything just felt so right. She finally had the man of her dreams, she could openly be with him and start working on their future together and that excited her. Her future was with Chanyeol and hopefully with some children as well.

Don't Come Closer —
[Baekhyun AU] #2
Summary; Pinelark is more than a small resident that offers its beauty and went viral on the internet. Pinelark is a place where folklore comes true, but you didn't realize until a magical creature caught your presence and you let them in.
Pairing; Baekhyun x Reader
Genre; werewolf au, romance, fluff, slight angst
——
one — two — three — four
The afternoon sun had been completely replaced by the darkness of the night. It was pretty quiet outside, you were settled on the couch with the TV and fireplace on. Eyes lazily staring at the screen as it becomes the only bright lights illuminated you because the clock showed its already past one a.m. so you must turn off the lights and get ready to sleep.
You decided that you choose to sleep on the couch starting from tonight and you don't know till when because you have a dog— not technically a dog— to take care of. It was laying on the wooden floor near the fireplace breathing heavily with both eyes closed. You gave him raw meat on the plate but you noticed it was still untouched.
You and Johnny were successfully treating his wounds and wrapped his legs with bandages. Johnny was so worried about you, he suggests that you leave the wolf to rest on your porch instead of bringing him inside but you insisted. And that is why your phone always rings every twenty minutes but it finally stops now. The man was finally drifted into the dreamland.
Humans gifted with fear so they need to be careful of every actions they choose or took. Your eyelids feel a little heavier so you took one last glance against the laying wolf before you lay down as well on the couch. Not forgetting the shotgun that was placed long on the coffee table.
You sleep peacefully until you wake up in a milky light of dawn because you heard the front door was being banged and scratched. The TV was already turned off because you put an off timer before you sleep. You sat up, rubbing your sleepy eyes but you heard another bang on the door.
"Goodness calm down— I'm coming!" You screamed, hoping its loud enough to hear for whoever someone at the door. "Dad is that you?"
Hearing no answer, you decided to bring your shotgun as you walked at the door for safety. Aiming it at your chest high until—
"Oh shit" Your body immediately froze as you saw the big ball of fur sitting at the door, currently staring at you. "Damn you healed fast"
"You won't hurt me, right? I helped you yesterday" The white-greyish wolf just continues to stare at you innocently but no matter how cute it looks, you still have a fear inside because there's no way you're this close with a beast in your own territory. And most importantly, how could you not notice when it walked to your door?
"What do you want? You wanna leave? You wanna go outside?" You keep asking the wolf, hoping that it understands what you are saying. You decided to lower your weapon, afraid that it might frighten him and the wolf might attack you because of that.
"Alright— I'll open the door but could you— could you please step aside a little bit?" You gestured with your free hand and surprisingly, the wolf understand.
"Okay— okay" With your heart starting to beat faster, you took a deep breath. Slowly taking several steps forward, eyes still glued to the wolf as you walked past it and opened the door in one swift movement.
You backed up your body pressed against the wall as the wolf limping past you outside, you held your breath, until it finally disappeared to the right and you closed the door right away. You finally exhaled, your body slipped into the floor because your knees gave up.
It was Saturday which means you will be having two days off from work and guess you will be doing nothing but stuck in the house, reading some books and watching some movies alone. Remembering it was still pretty much dawn, you got up into your feet. Using the shotgun for a support.
You walked back into the couch. Noticing the bowl filled by raw meat was empty and you smiled at the sight. You have always been dreaming to keep a dog since you were little but your dad won't let you because your mom is allergic. It just feels so nice that you just helped a wolf to heal.
Now you were back on the couch, thinking that you should probably go back to sleep. Your fingers reach out the blanket that was dropped to the floor and pull it up to your body. You were just about to close your eyes and drifted into the dreamland until you heard the door being scratched again.
"Oh— please. Don't tell me the wolf wants to go back inside.." You murmured to yourself as you stared at the ceiling, unsure if you should keep the door closed or let him in again.
But then you found yourself already at the door, peeping through the hole and the wolf standing outside. Curiously looking up hoping that the door would be opened in any second. "Should I let you in? I swear I'm scared.. I don't want something like 'A 26 year old female killed by a wolf she rescued' spreading on the news as the highlight.. What the hell"
With trembled hands, you pull the door knob open slowly with both hands, slowly revealing your presence behind the door into the wolf. "I'll— I'll let you in again but— don't hurt me. Alright?"
You pressed your back tightly against the wall as you let the wolf in. Your heart thumping loudly, ready to jump out of your ribcage in any second. When the wolf is limping past you, you closed the door and followed his steps quietly behind.
The wolf was back to its place near the fireplace. Laying down with the head rests against its palm. The wolf took a glance towards you as you arrived in the living room without lifting its head. "What? You want more food?"
Instead of lifting its head for a sign, the wolf closed both of its eyes and you sighed. Hesitantly slipping against the couch and laying down. Ready to go back into a slumber even though your heart still beats so fast. You suddenly remember that you saw a man who slept with a cheetah on the news and the man was fine until morning. Now it's your turn to sleep with a wolf.
Later that day, you woke up because your legs felt numb. The clock showed it was around eleven in the morning. You thought your legs were hanging off the end of the couch but the sight in front of you successfully caused you to let out a high pitched scream and jump out off the couch right away, landed on your butt.
"Oh my God! What— what are you doing?!"
The wolf is also startled because of you, eyes wide open and now it's the one dominating the couch. Staring at your directions with the weirdest expression ever.

Mark and Hyejin wolf au? Something at the border?
Being at the border wasn’t too bad, Mark wasn’t happy about being away from his pack but he only needed to spend ten years here then he could return home.
It had already been four years, Mark adjusting slightly. He shared a cabin with five other wolves, they all ate at the same time, slept at the same time and trained at the same time.
Thankfully, Donghae was there pack leader.
“You look exhausted,” The elder wolf pointed out as they sat down on one of the wooden chairs outside the training hall.
“Baekhyun snores really loudly,” Mark yawned, “We share a bunk..,”
“Believe me, it doesn’t get easier,” Donghae smiled softly, “How are you coping with it?”
Mark’s shoulders slumped at the question. He should have known Donghae was going to ask, it was a part of his sentencing after all.
Mark’s bloodline, which he happened to share with Donghae and Taeyong, had something called the Moon Rage. It had been what caused him to attack Jongdae in the first place.
He had to get it under control.
“I’ve never seen Taeyong lose control.., or you,” Mark frowned, “Why can’t I control it?”
“Believe it or not, I was worse than you when I was younger,” Donghae explained, pulling down his shirt and revealing a deep scar on his chest, “I tried to fight my mate’s brother, which did not end well for me,”
“I was protecting Hyejin..,” Mark whispered.
“Which we all know but you need to know how to pull yourself out of the moon rage,” Donghae explained, “Anyway, we have guests,”
Mark turned his head to where Donghae had nodded, eyes going wide. Jeno and Yuta were walking along the dirt road, the girl squished between the two of them laughing softly.
“Hyejin?” Mark whispered, “Why is she here?! It’s dangerous, there was a rogue attack just last week! What the hell is everyone thinking-“
“Mark,” Donghae stopped him, “Calm down, they’re travelling to the mutual grounds,”
“Hyejin’s not a wolf! She can’t go-“
“Mark!”
The sound of a call made him stop, Mark freezing as the three approached them. Hyejin was the first one to him, wrapping her arms around his waist.
“I miss you!” She giggled.
“I miss you too,” Mark exhaled slowly, “I read all your letters,”
Hyejin smiled brightly and it had him rubbing her cheek, feeling the dimples there, “Did you get my presents too? Soomin and Charlie have been teaching me how to make bracelets,”
“I got it,” Mark showed off his wrist, where the braided red and white fabrics sat, “I won’t take it off,”
“It’s good to see you, Mark,” Yuta greeted, “Hyejin’s coming to the moon festival with us,”
“We hold a moon festival here,” Mark pointed out.
Jeno finally spoke, a protective arm slipping around Hyejin’s shoulder and pulling her away from the red haired wolf. Mark did his best to swallow down a snarl.
“The pack decided it’s Hyejin’s turn to visit this year, as a part of her coming of age ceremony,”
Mark stared at Hyejin, was she already turning eighteen? Had it really gone that quick?
“Congratulations, baby,” Mark smiled at her, “I’m proud of you,”
“Thank you,” She beamed happily, “We’ll see you when we come back!”
As they walked off, Donghae grabbed Mark’s shoulder softly. The wolf looked at him, before looking down at his fists.
They were covered in blood from clenching so hard.
“It is a step forward, I suppose-“
“I have a long way to go,” Mark growled, “For her,”

Ah, that sounds like exciting days are ahead of us!! Werewolf Baek is present for like 1 day but I love him already </3
Also, the D, G, T prompts for Chanyeol then, please? I just remembered he's like a grown puppy anyway 🥺
I hope you enjoyed the others! ❤️ I'll be posting a masterlist with all wolf and vampire asks I answered! But yes, although it is supposed to be the end of Halloween celebration today, I'm keeping all those ideas for later 🥺
D - Dog - What are some animal behaviors they carry on to their human form?
It will be all the small ticks he's not even fully aware of, such as shaking his head in a dog-like way when his hair is wet, scratching his neck on repeat (hopefully not with his foot-), eating a bit too messily for it to be socially acceptable, at least when no one's looking. And he's so good communicating with other canids - literally, just look at the gif above 🥺
G - Good boy - What soothes them when they start to lose control?
Personal and sentimental things. When he starts to lose himself, it's good to give him something else to focus on.
I imagine that his guitar would be the first thing to reach out to. He might be giving into the hunger, but the sound of the strings being pulled will instantly catch his attention, slowly calming him down into a peaceful state. You don't have to know how to play it - it's just the familiarity, the way you touch the instrument like no one else does, that reminds him of who he is.
T - Territory - Are they territorial? Be it in regard to the place they live in, or the people they associate with (friends, lover).
Yes. Not excessively, but very much in regard to his pack's territory and his lover. But, unlike Baekhyun, whose instincts follow his pack's, Chanyeol takes responsibility for taking care of the pack's interests even if the pack itself doesn't realize the need to yet.
He is more on the individual side of personality, but his pack, his family, is the most important to him.

Baekhyun in wolf mating season
He’s literally the definition of ‘mating’
Has these pheromones that drive you crazy
He’s looking wild and dangerous all the time
“You look lovely in red, mate”
His voice is 100000 times sexier
Loves playing Red Riding Hood with you, but his version of the game
You always end up with hickeys, he can’t help himself
Always touching his hair, tempting you with his eyes
“You are mine, you know that right?”
‘Possessive’ is not enough to describe him
But he sings you to sleep, always holding you in his arms
He knows when you are like 10km away from him, his radar is on point
Long baths in the lake under the moonlight with you
He’s naughtier than usual of course, only does what he knows drives you crazy
“Maybe... we should lock everyone outside. Have some time for... ourselves”
Yes, his pack is a little inconvenience he has to deal with when in mating.
Everyone knows he’s very dangerous during this time, pity the one who dares to do something to you
But with you, he’s very intimate, loving. Doesn’t mean he isn’t passionate and wild.
Will often lay on your chest, his ear on your heart. Listening to it for hours
Only your voice can either calm him down or awake all his animal instincts

Description: Baekhyun has finally been honest with you and you’re thinking being his mate will be easy but what happens when you have your own secrets?
Genre: Smut // Fluff // Slight Angst
Pairing: Byun Baekhyun x Reader
Mobile Masterlist | Request
After the ceremony and dinner, you find yourself standing in one of the guest bedrooms. Baekhyun stands a couple feet away from you in front of a mirror as he stares at the fresh tattoo on his bicep. You walk up to him from behind and touch his arm.
“Does it still hurt?” You wonder. Baekhyun shakes his head and finally turns to you.
“I did this for you, you know? As much as I hate Xiumin for what happened I can’t hate that he brought us together. I probably wouldn’t have had the guts to tell you the truth so I’m glad that you pushed me to do this.”
You smirk, wrapping your arms around his neck. “Is that why you brought me up here? To tell me how much you hate Xiumin oppa?”
A pout appears on Baekhyun’s face. “Since when do you call him oppa? You never call me oppa.”
You can’t help but laugh at his expression but Baekhyun isn’t having any of it. He pulls you closer by your waist, a jealous growl escaping past his lips.
“Don’t call him oppa.”
You raise a brow. “Or what?” You can see the playful annoyance over Baekhyun’s face. He lets out another growl and suddenly you feel your back pressed against the soft bed in the middle of the room with Baekhyun hovering over you. Your eyes widen a little as a smirk stretches over Baekhyun’s lips. He leans forward as if he’s about to kiss you and you almost fall for it when he suddenly starts to tickle you.
“Are you gonna call Xiumin ‘oppa’ again?” His fingers are relentless against your abdomen as he waits for your reply but the only thing you can do is laugh. Your face feels hot and as you try to get away Baekhyun grabs your hands and pins them above your head.
“Are you gonna stop?” He asks again finally easing up with tickling you.
You heave a sigh out. “Fine, I won’t call him oppa.”
A smirk graces Baekhyun’s lips again as he leans in again. His eyes bore into yours and you feel your breath hitch in the back of your throat.
“I want to be the only guy you call oppa. Okay?”
You weren’t sure what it was but his words would usually make you laugh but this time it felt like your heart was racing. Not only was your heart racing but you find yourself agreeing to Baekhyun’s words.
He smiles before pressing his lips to yours kissing you hard. It feels like your breath got knocked out of your chest. You kiss him back just as hard and feel him release your hand from above your head. You reach up to wrap your arms around his neck, slipping your fingers into his hair.
The kiss continues on as you feel Baekhyun’s hands roaming your body. You let out a moan which gives Baekhyun the opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth exploring you.
His hands don’t stop as they descend lower past your hips, finally touching the skin of your thigh. You’re to distracted by Baekhyun’s lips that you don’t notice his fingertips gliding higher and higher.
Baekhyun pulls away from your lips and moves to your neck kissing your pulse right neck to your mark. Your breath hitches when you feel his fingers against your inner thigh.
“Baek–” Your voice is weak when his lips meet your mark. Your neck feels like it’s on fire and you gasp at the feeling.
“Baekhyun stop–” You try to push him off but you’re useless against his strength. Your heart starts racing faster and suddenly you’re pushing Baekhyun off yourself with a broken cry escaping past your lips. What you don’t know as you cower away from your mate, eyes covered by your hands is that Baekhyun is up against the opposite wall. Somehow you found the strength to push him that hard and you have no idea how.
“Y/N? What the heck was that?” Baekhyun is in disbelief as he gets off the floor and walks towards you. When you hear him approaching you your hands start to shake.
Tears are clouding your eyes that you can’t see the hurt over Baekhyun’s face. You don’t know what’s gotten into you but you have the need to just run away from the situation.
Without thinking you push past Baekhyun without a word and reach for the door. You’re almost out of the room until you suddenly feel Baekhyun’s arms wrap around your waist. He keeps you rooted to your spot and it makes you feel weak. His grip is tight but nothing that is hurting you. You’re fighting against your body because all you want is to relax into his arms but the feeling in the pit of your stomach is telling you otherwise.
“Y/N, I’m sorry. If I went to fast. I didn’t mean to upset you. Please don’t leave.”
His words sound sincere. You would in a heartbeat turn around and tell him you were just overreacting but you couldn’t.
You place your hands over him before slipping out of his grip.
“I-I need to go home.” You whisper.
With your breath caught in your throat, you grab the doorknob and make a run for it. You can hear Baekhyun calling you back but you ignore his calls.
You hold your breath as you make it down the stairs but are stopped when Luna sees you.
“Y/N? Are you leaving?” She asks in confusion. When she takes a step closer to you she notices the tears in your eyes and a gasp leaves her lips. She grabs onto your arm.
“What happened?”
You don’t know what to say so you shake your head and pull your arm away.
“I need to go. Please don’t let Baekhyun follow me.”
She gives you a nervous nod and as she’s about to grab the door for you-you hear Baekhyun’s voice in your mind.
“Y/N…please don’t go.”
You push Baekhyun’s voice out of your mind and run out of the packs’ house. Your mind is racing and the only thing you want is to get away from everything.
Luna stares at your figure as it disappears into the forest until she suddenly feels someone pushing her against the door. She comes face to face with a distressed looking Baekhyun, eyes glowing bright yellow.
“Why didn’t you stop her?” He growls in her face. Luna pushes Baekhyun off just before Xiumin walks in.
“What’s going on?” He gives Baekhyun a look and then turns to his mate.
“Y/N ran away and Baekhyun doesn’t know why. I tried to stop her but she told me she didn’t want to stay. I couldn’t force her to stay.” Luna says worriedly.
“But she went into the forest and it’s dark out. Why didn’t you persuade her?” Baekhyun stomps, running fingers through his hair in frustration.
Xiumin gets in between Baekhyun and his mate as he gives him an annoyed look. “Don’t blame this on my mate, okay? Why don’t we go out as a pack and find her instead, hmm?”
Baekhyun lets out a sigh while nodding. He looks over Xiumin’s shoulder at Luna. “I’m sorry I exploded on you. I just don’t understand what happened. We were okay and suddenly she pushed me away without an explanation. I don’t know if I did anything wrong but I can feel how upset she is.”
Xiumin pats Baekhyun’s shoulder sympathetically. “Hey, we’ll find her don’t worry, okay?”
…
You felt your body collapse onto the wet ground of the forest. After leaving the house you couldn’t stop running until you cleared your mind and the thrumming on your mark stopped. Feeling the cold wet ground and your heart racing snapped you back to reality and you were starting to realize what the hell just happened.
You can still feel Baekhyun’s fingers against your thighs and it makes a shudder run up your spine. Why did you react like that? He was your mate after all so going there shouldn’t be weird. It wasn’t like this was the first time the two of you have fooled around. So why did you flip like that?
After a while of sitting on the ground, you realized just how cold it was. You were still in the dress Luna gave you and the cold October air nipped at your bare skin.
Getting off the ground and dusting off your knees you take the first few steps through the forest. You don’t know where you are and you don’t have your phone either.
The forest is quiet as you walk through and it calms your nerves. You’re starting to forget what happened with Baekhyun and that horrible feeling you got when he touched you. You felt terrible for the way you exploded on him that you wished that he was here so you could apologize.
It’s like your mind starts playing tricks on you because you suddenly feel your mark start to throb. You let out a gasp and touch it lightly.
“Y/N.”
You turn around and see Baekhyun and a few of the pack members behind him. He looks at you with worried eyes as he takes cautious steps.
“I’m not going to hurt you, okay? I just want to talk.”
You let out a shaky breath when you finally feel Baekhyun’s warmth surrounding you. He pulls you against his chest as you let go letting your tears soak into his shirt.
“It’s okay. I’m here.” He whispers in a shaky voice. You can feel how fast his heart is racing and it makes you feel even worse. Baekhyun pulls away from you and cups your face in his hands. Your eyes are shut tight and he begs you to open them up.
“Please, I need to know you’re okay.”
His gentle touches calm you down so you open your eyes. Baekhyun looks at you with his own tear filled eyes and lets out a gasp.
“Y/N, your eyes…they’re glowing.”

Echoing Laughs
Part of The Untamed - EXO Wolf Universe
Genre: Supernatural, Wolf Au
Pairing: Baekhyun x Reader
Summary: You didn’t care for boys that could be labeled as the “class clown”. Their type of jokes made you roll your eyes. Though you enjoyed a fun time yourself, you preferred the more subdued type, a Darcy over a Bingley. So why couldn’t you get the most obnoxious boy you’d ever met out of your head?
Part: 1 I 2 I 3 I 4
**
Sehun kicked at the gravel, sending a few tiny rocks skipping through the air. Luckily for all, none went towards his car. Baekhyun was taken aback by the reaction. He would have expected Sehun to give him what he would have done – relentless teasing. That was the uninterrupted pattern by now, established by yours truly. The youngest wolf usually followed along. He was always eager to mischievously poke the older wolves.
“Is there going to be a new one every week?” Sehun whined. He looked like he did back when he was seventeen when he was told he couldn’t go out with the college-aged members because it was a school night.
“We knew this was coming,” Minseok said. “We always have.”
“Why does it have to?”
“It’s our nature,” Kyungsoo reminded.
“Or our curse,” Sehun mumbled before finally getting into his car, the door slamming with alarming force.
An awkward silence fell on the group. This wasn’t how Baekhyun expected this to go whenever he met his mate. He never would have thought that Sehun would be so upset, an idea that he couldn’t wrap his head around. Baekhyun had prepared himself for the reckoning of his fellow wolves and yet no one was dog piling on him.
Sehun started the engine with deliberate intensity. It was a warning to those who wanted to hitch a ride. But it was an empty one. He wouldn’t actually take off, not with Ji Yeon still in the backseat. That was probably Minseok’s plan all along. His mate was rising as a force to be reckoned with. Sehun wouldn’t dare.
“Go for a walk,” Minseok suggested. With that short pep talk, he hopped into the car, mercifully taking the front passenger seat. Kyungsoo waved them off. The rest would walk home. Sehun revved the engine before peeling down the street.
“The great advice of the first mated wolf is to go for a walk?” Baekhyun looked to the others, hoping that they would have a better alternative for what he should do now.
Kyungsoo motioned down the sidewalk. “Let’s go.”
Or not, apparently.
“What is a walk going to do?”
“Keep you from bursting into Ming’s apartment,” Kyungsoo deadpanned.
Baekhyun held up a finger. “Good point.” This urge to be near you was unparalleled. His favorite foods didn’t even have this strong of a hold on him. It grew as he took a step away from the front door. His feet became heavy, like cement was being poured over them.
Why couldn’t he just go and tell you everything? What was wrong with being honest and upfront? Wasn’t Junmyeon always going on about how those two things were the most important aspects of maintaining a relationship? And watching the other two struggle made the “keep it a secret” route seem very unappealing. So, he decided, he shouldn’t have to wait to be with his mate.
Mind made up, he turned around with a determination to get to you.
A hand clamped down on his shoulder, taking a handful of his shirt and yanking him back. Baekhyun growled and swiped at the one who dared to hold him back.
Chanyeol laughed at the struggle as he held his friend at arm’s length.
“Let me go!” Baekhyun meant to sound intimidating. Even he had to admit that it came out more like a whine.
“Not if you’re going to barge in there.”
Baekhyun pouted, still trying to pry Chanyeol’s fingers off his collar. “Why not?”
“Do you really think springing everything on her all at once is a good idea after she’s known you for two seconds?”
“Yes.”
Kyungsoo sent him one of his signature glares. “You really are an idiot.”
Baekhyun gaped at him. “That was mean.”
“It’s true if you think that telling a woman you just meant all about werewolves and mates and getting thrown into jail for breaking and entering.”
“But–”
“She wasn’t exactly warm to you,” Chanyeol pointed out.
Baekhyun stopped fighting. “What do you mean?”
Slipping his hands into his pockets, Kyungsoo shrugged. “She was more interested in Chanyeol than your bad attempts at flirting.”
An instinctual growl rippled through Baekhyun’s clenched teeth at the thought of Chanyeol with his mate. It was the same snapped reaction that he’d experienced back in the restaurant. Rationale told him that Chanyeol would never do something like that, but the wolf took every possible threat into consideration. Thankfully, Chanyeol shrugged it off.
“You can always try again,” he said.
“Of course I’m going to try again.” Baekhyun crossed his arms with his usual confidence. “And I’ll get my mate, no problem.”
Kyungsoo snorted. “Good luck.” Chanyeol’s forced back smile said that he was in agreement.
It was insulting, the lack of faith they had in him. Baekhyun was suave, charming.
Shoulders back and chin held high, he started down the sidewalk towards the outerlimits with a newfound determination. He could win his mate over in no time. What was there possibly not to like about him?
**
It had been fifteen minutes and you were still stuck on the same section of your faux lesson plan. The lackluster weekend poked at your side, refusing to be ignored no matter how much you wanted to let it go.
Admittedly, it was your own fault. You had hyped it up in your mind to be this worthwhile night that would lead to a one-on-one date on Saturday. Reality merely gave you an okay dinner meeting some very nice people that you wouldn’t mind hanging out with again in a platonic way, but that was it. While Chanyeol had piqued your interest in the beginning, it quickly smothered itself. Something inside simply said no. And you liked to trust your gut, especially in this arena.
“Hi.”
You looked up from the computer screen that had began to blur in your vision. It took a few seconds for your eyes to adjust. There weren’t many people in this corner of the student union. Which was exactly why you’d parked yourself here. You needed the quiet to concentrate when you were studying by yourself. When you were with Ran, you could tolerate noise. You were prepared for it. But not now during your free period. The random greeting had made you jump.
What was he doing here?
“Hi,” you said back, confused.
Baekhyun beamed down at you, one hand gripping the single backpack strap hanging from his shoulder. His aura was relaxed, nonchalant despite how out of place this interaction was.
“Can I sit?” He pointed towards the empty chair across from you at the small square table. There were plenty of other places to sit around here but you couldn’t find a decent reason to say no.
“Um, I mean, I guess–”
The chair scraped against the tile floor as he took that answer with enthusiasm. Flopping down, his bag fell to the floor with a heavier thump that you had expected. He didn’t seem like the type of student to be bogged down with classes or to take on a schedule that required a lot of textbooks.
Neither of you spoke, making you wonder why he walked up in the first place. Shrugging it off, you went back to work, trying to solve the puzzle of whether you would follow writing the alphabet with a reading circle or with counting tables. It was even harder to make a decision now that you felt his eyes on you. He didn’t move to take any books or paper or even a laptop from his bag. So studying was obviously not his main objective here.
His presence was… distracting. And not even in the normal way when someone was around when you wanted to be alone. It wasn’t the need to remember that you were sharing a table or general leg space – which he had apparently forgotten with his legs currently resting on your side. No, it was just… him. In general. It was frustrating and annoying.
“What are you working on?”
You glanced at him over the top of your computer. And your heart jumped a beat when your eyes met. What the hell was that about?
Baekhyun was leaning forward on his elbows, wearing the same full-of-himself smirk from last week.
“A lesson plan,” you answered, going back to work.
“You teach a class here?”
You shook your head. “No. I’m an education major. It’s an assignment.”
“Oh. So you want to be a teacher?”
“Yup.” You didn’t even bother to look up this time as you replied.
“That’s cool.” Shockingly, he actually sounded interested. But he didn’t ask another question. He tapped his fingers against the table incessantly. Unable to focus on the words you needed to type out, you snapped out your hand to hold his down and stop the noise.
The warm electricity you had experienced briefly at dinner was back with a vengeance, lasting longer and strengthening its grip. You snatched your hand back to cut it off.
The attempt to clear your throat nearly failed. “That was distracting.” Acting as if your hand wasn’t still tingling, you went on with your homework.
“(Y/n)?”
You decided that a reading circle should follow the handwriting in order to give the five-year-old hands a break. Your own joints ached after an hour of writing, imagine having those tiny little fingers with minimal strength. “Yeah?”
“I think we should go out tomorrow night.”
Your jaw dropped. “Why?”
He blinked. “What?”
You sighed as you closed your laptop and packed up your supplies. Standing, you slung your bag over your shoulder, each movement slow as you tried to come up with something to say.
“Where are you going?” Baekhyun’s cocky expression melted into one of bewilderment.
“I have to get to class.”
“Oh, okay,” he nodded. “But you didn’t answer my question.”
“I–” You bit back a groan, not wanting to hurt his feelings but needing to give him an answer. Baekhyun just… he wasn’t your type. “I can’t. I have plans.”
His shoulders – the last remnant of cheer in his body language – fell. “Oh. Okay.”
And now you were the bad guy. “See you around.”
You rushed out of the student union and towards your next class. Being about twenty minutes too early, you were forced to camp outside in the hallway. You leaned back against the wall and slid down to the floor, groaning as you knocked your head back.
“Ow.” You probably deserved that.
Baekhyun haunted your thoughts for the rest of the day. You were at a complete loss as to why he asked you out in the first place. He barely stuck around for dinner and you didn’t exactly respond well to his weird attempts at flirting. He was the classic class clown. The very type of guy that had agitated you since high school. From your point of view, there was no connection between the two of you. What was he seeing that you weren’t?
The thought of getting Ran’s advice did cross your mind. She would probably give out a short laugh before scolding you for coming up with a lie.
Well, technically, it didn’t have to be a lie. You could come with plans that would occupy your evening. Besides, Baekhyun had asked you out and you said no. Somewhat. Surely that had to be the end of it.
So when you sat cross-legged on Ran’s living room floor, you decided that it wasn’t something worth discussing.
“How was your day?” Ran asked as she spread out her assignment and flipped through her textbook.
“Fine,” you lied. Baekhyun’s disappointed face flashed in your mind. “Hey, we should do something tomorrow.”
Ran raised an eyebrow but didn’t pause in her flipping through the pages. “Like what?”
“Oh, I don’t know.” You clicked your tongue as you searched through your memory for anything that could be happening downtown. “Wasn’t there an art fair or art pop up thing going on?”
“Oh, yeah!” Ran put the book down, now very interested in the newly forming plans. “I think there were a couple of local artists participating that I wanted to check out. What time do you want to meet up?”
You beamed, happy that your last minute plan was working. “My last class is at four, so probably six-thirty-ish?”
Ran agreed to the plans and turned the conversation to how her day ended up being one clumsy accident after another. She was in the middle of telling you about how she nearly knocked over several vials of chemicals while reaching across the station, a very big no-no, when Ming came home.
“Hello!” she greeted cheerfully with a wave. Just as every time she came home after spending time with Yixing, she was beaming.
The jealousy goblin crawled up your shoulder, but you successfully flicked it away. “Hey!”
The medical student dropped her bag off in her room before coming back out to get a drink from the kitchen. As she reentered the living room, a reddish mark on her neck, only visible due to her large collar slipping down her shoulder, caught your eye.
“Hey, Ming, are you okay?”
She looked at you strangely. “Yeah, why?”
You motioned to the spot on your own neck. “You’ve got a mark there. It looks really irritated.”
At first, she didn’t seem to realize what you were referring to, but then she gasped, covering the mark with her hand. “Oh! I-It’s nothing. I just had a… bra strap too tight and I think it burned the skin. Nothing to worry about. I’m putting cream on it.” She hastily pulled up on her sweater as she ran back to her room.
When her door was closed, you leaned closer to Ran and whispered, “That wasn’t in the right place for a bra strap to dig into your shoulder.”
“I know,” Ran agreed.
“You don’t think–”
Ran cut you off before you could finish. “No, absolutely not. He would never. It was probably just an accident that she’s too embarrassed to talk about.”
You didn’t think that was it for a second, but Ran effectively ended the conversation by going back to her book. The harsh red mark was jagged, the edge that you could see rounded in the opposite direction than Ming’s explanation. Something was up with her, but you didn’t feel like you had the right to push. You would keep an eye on her though.
An idea popped into your head. You jumped up and went to her door, knocking gently. “Hey, Ming! Do you have plans tomorrow?”

Previous
To say the air is tense as the final date approaches when Minwoo and Miranda will attack would be an understatement. If you could use one word, however, to describe the way your mates, as well as all of your friends, anticipate this upcoming battle, you would describe them as eager. Eager to finally get this over with. Eager to fight for you. Most of all, eager to prove themselves and protect you, so that you don’t get hurt again.
Already, about a week and a half has passed since Mal and the witches have warned you about Minwoo and Miranda’s final attack. Given the information Mal has given you about the three missing packs, you’ve assumed the worse. They’ve probably already been manipulated by Minwoo’s power, which means the fight has gotten all the more worse. Well, at least you know who you’re up against.
Training has been going well still, all of your friends always eager to help your mates develop their new powers. Many of them have come pretty far in such a short time, and when all twelve of them work together, again, with a little help from your friends, they’re able to subdue you for a few moments. Well, almost.
The only issue you had was a few days after the initial discovery. You can remember the conversation so clearly, and even looking back on it now, you grimace.
“You want me to do what?” Your brow furrowed, arms crossed as you looked at Minseok, Dylan, Junmyeon, and Kyungsoo standing directly in front of you, your other mates standing a little ways behind them.
“Listen, if Minwoo catches me, or even any one of us, under his manipulation again, we should have a way to fight back against him,” Dylan reasons. “If we can fight against his hold over us, we have a better chance of ending this once and for all. Plus, he wouldn’t be able to rely on us to hurt you.”
You purse your lips, frown clear on your features as you think this over.
Jongdae places a reassuring hand on your shoulder as he comes to stand next to you. You don’t have to if it makes you uncomfortable, but he’s right. The more of a chance we have to fight back against his hold, the less likely he’ll be able to manipulate us.
I know, you physically sigh, looking towards the ground as you close your eyes. “Okay.”
The shock is clear on all of their faces, especially Dylan’s. “Really?”
“You’re right,” you reply, opening your eyes and lifting your head once more to meet his gaze. “As much as I don’t like it, it’s the most reasonable conclusion.” You take a shaky breath in. “I’ll do it.”
They all smile at you, Jongdae even going so far as to rub your back comfortingly with his hand as the others look on. A few of them wish it could be them to do that, but they know it’s only a matter of time before they can.
“Before we do, though, I just want you all to know that-“
“Don’t worry,” it’s Luhan who cuts you off, walking over to place a comforting hand on your shoulder while giving it a slight squeeze.
“We already know,” Baekhyun finishes for him, nods of understanding coming from all of them.
“But-“
“This is strictly for training purposes,” Minseok begins.
“You would never willingly make us ‘hurt’ each other,” Junmyeon continues. “Not that you would be, anyways.”
“There’s a difference here now,” Kyungsoo adds, and you tilt your head slightly for him to continue. “We’re letting you do this to us. With him, it wouldn’t be willingly.”
Your heart warms as a small smile graces your features. Looks like they already know you better than you would think, given the somewhat short amount of time you’ve all known each other. It makes you happy to know that they know what to say to assure you, to offer you comfort for your worries at this point in time.
You nod your head. “Okay, then let’s get to it.”
That is how you find yourself in this situation right now. It’s been a week since you first started training with them using this particular power of yours, and it’s certainly offered a change in the dynamics between you all. Of course, you never go as far as to actually make them hurt each other, but you do set them against one another. So far, Minseok, Kyungsoo, Jongin, and Jongdae all seem to have the best luck escaping the influence of your power so far. The others, not so much, but you know they’re not that far behind the rest.
In fact, there are some occasions where a few of them, like Dylan, Chanyeol, and Luhan, are better than the ones that seems to be just head of the rest of the pack. However, it’s only happened once or twice where they’ve been able to break free of your influence, whereas the others are more consistent.
You just hope that when the time comes, and it all comes down to it, they’re able to escape Minwoo should they get caught. In the back of your mind, you don’t doubt that they will. After all, Minwoo is nowhere near as strong as you are, especially when concerned with using your own powers.
Currently, you find yourself facing off against eight of your twelve mates, as the other four have went inside for lunch. You’ve just managed to throw Yixing and Kyungsoo off of you when a sudden sense of dread fills your bones.
Standing to your full height, you freeze, wide eyes staring off towards the direction of the clearing. Taking deep breaths as they circle around you, you attempt to relax your tense muscle. Something isn’t right.
Almost immediately, the back door is opening, and Jongdae is rushing onto the porch, worry creasing his brow. “What did you guys do?”
At his words, the eight surrounding you, turn to look at him, slight confusion pulling at their features.
“We haven’t been doing anything except training,” Chanyeol responds, seeing as he’s one of four not in their wolf forms at the moment.
“What’s wrong?” Tao’s own brow furrows as he looks between you and Jongdae, the others coming out to join them on the back deck, along with a majority of your friends.
“You’ve sensed it, too, haven’t you?” Irene calls out, making her way towards you from the deck.
“I just have a really bad feeling about tomorrow,” you rely, finally speaking out for the first time since this sense of dread has washed over you. “No one is here yet, but I can feel the presence looming over the field, creeping closer with each passing second. It’s like it knows something bad is approaching.”
“But it can’t be them yet, can it? I thought we had a few more days,” Baekhyun frowns, easing out of his fighting stance for the moment.
“Maybe so,” you reply. “Just keep your guards up, cause I have a feeling something will happen tomorrow.”
“Either way, there’s no way they can surprise attack us,” Jongin says from the back door.
“Yeah, not with the wards that we’ve placed,” Yeri nods.
“Plus, I’m sure you’d be the first to sense them,” Hakyeon motions to your with his head. “Not that we wouldn’t be able to, either.”
You nod, shoulders relaxing only slightly as you roll your shoulders, cracking your neck in the next second. “That’s enough training for today, we should prepare for the next few days, just in case they do decide to attack early.”
A wave of agreement passes over everybody around you, a few nodding their heads in understanding as you all begin to make your wayback inside the house. Immediately, Jongdae is at your side, a look full of concern thrown your way.
I’m fine, you assure him, shooting him a half smile.
He simple sends you a look, everything being said in that expression alone. He knows you’re not in the best mental state right now, and he wants you to know that he’s here for you. He always will be. Him, and your other eleven mates whom watch you walk up the stairs and to your room with nothing but worry clear on their features.
That evening, you discuss with everyone your major plans of attack. You’ve decided that some of them should stay back at the house should anything happen, or if any of Minwoo’s minions manage to slip past you all and head towards the house. Besides, both you and Vasco agree that you’d rather not see Mal get hurt again.
In the end, you’ve decided to let Mal, Vasco, Jisoo, Joy, Yeri, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Jinki, Namjoon, Jungkook, Hoseok, Hyuk, and Wonsik stay back at the house in case anything is to happen. Besides, the house could use some extra protection anyways.
Of course, even with the discussion of formation and strategy, you know not every battle will go as planned, so you come up with a back up just in case. You blame your parents for your excessive battle planning and strategic thinking.
Attempting to sleep that night is just that: an attempt. The wonderful abyss of sleep evades you, continuing to toss and turn, that feeling of unease never parting from you for one moment. You just know something is going to happen tomorrow, and for that, you find you cannot get one moment of rest.
Finally, after years of them haunting you, this will all be over soon. Hopefully.
Morning comes, and you drag yourself out of bed, feeling Jongdae’s worried eyes following you around the room as you get ready for the day.
Don’t worry about me so much, your voice echoes throughout his head.
You and I both know that’s not possible, comes his reply. Did you get any sleep at all last night?
At the shrug of your shoulders, you hear him sigh behind you. A few seconds later, he’s stood from the bed and moved so his arms are now wrapped around your waist from behind. Burying his face into your neck, he places a gently kiss onto your skin.
“No matter what happens, we’re with you,” he murmurs lowly against your skin, “I’m with you. Until the end.”
You squeeze his arms assuringly, conveying wordlessly your gratitude for him, especially now. He’s always been by your side, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Making your way downstairs after getting ready, you walk into the kitchen. After a small breakfast, you’re just going over your plans one last time in your mind when your breath catches in your throat and you freeze. A look passes between a few of your friends, already able to sense the danger approaching the clearing in an instant.
“Guys,” your voice rings out loud and clear throughout the house as you stand. “It’s time.”
In a flash, you’ve disappeared from view, and the whole house becomes an uproar of commotion.
“I wish she would wait for us,” Minseok scowls slightly as they run for the back door.
“The sooner we get this over with, the better,” Dylan says, the others nodding their agreement.
As soon as they reach the back door and manage to get outside, they shift and sprint off into the forest. Only one thought is one their mind: finding you and ending all of this once and for all.
Arriving to the clearing, you stand tall with your arms crossed, awaiting the arrival of the small force you’ve sensed approaching from the opposite side. Many of the presences you recognize, but a few you do not, and you can only imagine just who, or what Minwoo and Miranda have brought with them as extra strength.
Movement to your right has your gaze shifting briefly to see Jongin already beside you. Looks like he teleported here. You share a look, smiling briefly at each other as you wait for the others to arrive. In an instant, Taemin is standing on your other side, having run the distance in no time at all.
The others should be here soon, Jongin tells you, to which you nod at.
However, as soon as that though reaches you, Minwoo, Miranda, and their forces have finally reached the opposite edge of the clearing, breaching the tree line and stepping into the area. You scowl at the familiar faces you see treading behind him, some wearing looks of discontent as they continue to struggle against his manipulation.
What surprises you the most, though, is the small group of warriors you see wearing an all too familiar crest. You tense, watching Miranda swing that all too familiar crimson blade in her one hand.
“Where’s the rest of your mutts?” She taunts, receiving a snort of laughter from Minwoo.
“Probably got scared and ran off,” Minwoo replies. “Realized she wasn’t worth the time, or effort.”
Both Jongin and Taemin snarl at his words in response, but you put a hand out to stop them. Instead, you meet the worried gazes of the three leaders of your other groups of friends.
“(Y/n),” Jihyo’s concern is clear on her features.
“Jihyo,” you breathe her name. “Taeyong, Seungcheol…” you meet each of their gazes respectively. “I’m sorry you all got dragged into this mess.”
You know that none of them want to hurt you, but under the influence of Minwoo, they might have to. The last thing you truly wanted was to be facing twenty-three hybrids, thirteen wolves, and nine vampires whom are all your friends, but unfortunately, desperate times call for desperate measures.
“The sooner we get out of this mess, the quicker we can help you,” Momo calls out, and you can tell all of them share the same sentiment. Well, at least all of your friends do.
“You know as soon as I can, I’ll get you all out from under his control,” comes your reply.
“That would be appreciated!” Chenle calls out, receiving a few side eyed looks from those around him.
“Ha! Like hell she can do anything,” one of Linus’ men laugh. You don’t recogonize him; he must be new. “Against all of us, what can those three really do?”
“Don’t underestimate her,” an all too familiar voice which you wish you could forget says from the back. Stepping through his men as they part, you meet Linus’ all too familiar smug gaze. “She’s stronger than you think.”
“Linus,” you hiss, nothing but venom on your tongue as you spit out his name. “What are you doing here?”
“Me?” He quirks an eyebrow, clearly amused by your reaction. “I’m here to bring my wife home.”
Growls sound from around you, and you can sense that your other mates and friends aren’t that far off now.
“We won’t let you do that,” Jongin growls, stepping forward slightly in an attempt to stand in front of you, but he knows better by now.
“Oh yeah? You and what army?” One of Linus’ other men snorts, arms crossed in front of his chest.
“This army,” you state, voice low as snarls pierce the trees, your mates breaking through the tree line behind you first, followed by your friends lose behind.
Cracking your neck, you roll your shoulders once more, fixating your deadly gaze on both Minwoo and Miranda. Silently, you inform your friends and mates about the situation, letting them know not to kill your friends under Minwoo’s control. Linus and his men, however, are free reign. Undoubtedly, they all know to leave Minwoo and Miranda to you.
“It’s not too late to turn back,” you say, motioning to the woods behind them. “Leave now, release my friends, and never bother us again. I’ll let you live if you do.”
You notice Miranda falter slightly in her stance at your words, but both Minwoo and Linus laugh.
“You think that will scare us off?” Minwoo shakes his head. “You’re more naive than I thought.”
Growls sounds around you in your defence, but you simply shrug. “Your funeral.”
With those final words, you attack.
