Might Alpha 2
➻ Pairings: Chanyeol x Reader
➻ Genre: Romance, Wolf Au
➻ Additional: destined mates
➻ Word Count: 1.5K

➻ Author’s notes: This story is cross posted on multiple sites under the same username!
The backlash that came when Baekhyun and Chanyeol denounced their marriage was something that no one expected. They knew their parents would be upset, but the sheer mortification that came from knowing Baekhyun had been with another alpha and never actually slept with Chanyeol was so confusing. The fact that the male was Baekhyun’s destined mate didn't seem to matter to anyone.
While the elders had stayed silent, the parents argued back and forth on how they could rectify the situation, without bothering to listen to the children whose lives they were purposefully trying to ruin for the simple fact that Baekhyun was a gifted male omega with the ability to bear pups. They didn't care that they were trying to break not one, but two bonds. Bonds from the same family.
It confused Soohee, because she remembered very clearly that Chanyeol had said the whole union between Baekhyun and himself was because they trusted Chanyeol and it was a great way for her father to get a foot into the counsel and influence decisions and laws however he saw fit. Chanyeol was going to be the next elder and possibly the next head alpha if he could pass the tests that would challenge his strength, his logic, and his wit. And while she worried about her brother being hurt, she believed the man he was with would never hurt him since they were destined mates. And if her father still wanted that in, if he would just listen to Chanyeol, he would know that they were destined mates.
Soohee had never told her parents or anyone else what happened that night after her party, nor the weekend and the two days after that she was in heat. They were mates, she knew that and still had trouble processing it, but it was a fact she was more than ready to admit. Yet they hadn't mated during her heat, both agreeing that they wanted to wait. Even if they used protection, there wasn't a guarantee it would work or if they would constantly remember the amount of times they would have to have sex. So Chanyeol did his best to pleasure her and help her through her heat and she was so thankful for it. But they still haven't told anyone. Or rather, they were trying, but no one was actually listening to them.
“Well since your son has been defiled, we will find a new mate for Chanyeol. A better and loyal omega!” Mr. Park grunted out.
“What?” Chanyeol asked in shock.
“Excuse me? My son is very much loyal!”
“Lies. He's been defiled by that Chinese vagrant!” Mr. Park growled. “You and your family are so immoral, Mr. Byun, that I'm surprised you're all even allowed to continue to live in this pack. And if your son acts like this, I can't even begin to imagine how your daughter must be, whoring about and asking for any male to fuck her.”
“That’s enough! You are so vile and disgusting, speaking of a child like that!” Mr. Byun shouted.
“Child?! Child?! She's of age now isn't She? But has that ever stopped her? You don't think we don't hear rumors?”
“What? Soohee, what is talking about?” Mr. Byun asked, furious by all the words being thrown around.
“I don't know.” Soohee said. “I don't know of rumors. Dad, it's a lie.” She said.
“Adults don't lie.” Mr. Park snapped at her and she shrunk back. Lies from an adult. She had no idea where he would ever get such information about her. She had never done anything to try and get guys. She had only ever wanted Chanyeol. And even her closest friends knew that.
“If she says there are none, then there aren't.” Mr. Byun growled. “My daughter is perfect! Maybe it’s your son that is the issue!” He fired back. Another round of shouting began and Soohee had heard enough. She slipped out of her chair and did her best to sneak out of the meeting hall. She thought she was very successful and made it outside with a sigh.
“For the love of god. Adults are crazy. I don't want to be an adult.” She whined softly.
“Tell me about it.”
Soohee jumped and looked over at her brother as he came to sit next to her. “Oppa.” She said gently. “Are you okay? Dad and Mr. Park are blowing everything out of proportion.” She said.
“I know.” Baekhyun sighed softly and closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead gently. “Like, why are they like this? The elders always preach about destined mates and not interfering and here they are staying quiet while our parents fight to ruin our lives.”
Soohee stared at him and sighed softly. She reached over and rubbed his back gently and smiled softly. “It'll be okay.” She said softly. “You have your mate. You should go and run off with him. They can't stop you.”
“And leave you?” Baekhyun asked softly. “Disappoint our family? I couldn't.” He said as he looked at her.
“So you'd rather risk your bond with your mate?” Soohee asked and cocked her head. “Oppa, you're not a disappointment. And I'll be fine.”
“Because you have your mate now.” Baekhyun said and smiled weakly at her.
“I….what?”
“Don't play dumb.” Baekhyun laughed softly. “I knew the moment I introduced you to Chanyeol that you two were mates.” He said.
“How?”
“Blue eyes are the sign that an alpha has found their mate and imprinted on them. I saw them that day. I knew and I made him promise me he would never try anything with you until you were old enough.” He said. “I had no idea that this stupid union would be done either.” He said and ran a hand through his hair some before groaning. “I don't know what to do Soohee.”
Soohee frowned as she stared at her brother and was gonna answer when another person joined them.
“Let's go and start our own pack.” Their heads whipped around quickly and stared at Chanyeol in shock. “what?”
“What do you mean what? How can we start our own pack?” Soohee asked, confused. “That's a big task.”
“Yeah and where would we go?” Baekhyun asked and Chanyeol just shrugged.
“Does it matter? We’ll just go somewhere. The four of us establish our own pack. We'll gather packless shifters and shifters wanting a new pack and just start over fresh.” He said.
“Do you...do you think we can do it?” Baekhyun asked.
“Well with Yixing as another alpha, I'm sure we can manage and grow slowly. It might be hard at first. But won't it be worth it?” Chanyeol asked. “They obviously don't care about our wants and needs. Our destinies. So we need to take our lives into our own hands.” He said. His eyes moved from Baekhyun to Soohee and he smiled. He took her hand and held it gently in his, squeezing it gently.
“Chanyeol.” Soohee whispered softly and smiled.
“It'll be worth it.” Baekhyun agreed and smiled softly at them. “Come on. Let's go.” He said and stood. Soohee looked back at her brother and nodded. She stood, pulling at Chanyeol’s hand and making him stand. “I'll meet you two at Yixing’s. Don't take too long, okay?” He said.
They nodded and with quick goodbyes, they parted ways, with Soohee going with Chanyeol because she just needed to be with him. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” Soohee asked as she walked towards Chanyeol’s jeep.
“No. But we have to do what we have to do.” Chanyeol said as he unlocked the doors and climbed into the driver's seat. Soohee sighed and got into the jeep, closing the door before turning to face him.
“Chanyeol, I'm being serious. I'm still a kid. I'm fresh out of high school, just turned 18 and you want to move to some unknown place and start a pack there. It sounds crazy.” She said, “Are you sure this is something you really want?” Her question was directed towards their current decision but there was an undertone of uncertainty about their relationship. Was she really what he wanted?
Chanyeol sighed softly as he slipped the key into the ignition before turning to face her. “Soohee.” He said gently. He scooted over to her and reached out, his fingers stroking her cheeks gently. “I want to be with you, and only you. And if that means we have to go into the future blind, then I will do it. I love you.” He told her and leaned in, pressing their foreheads together gently. “I've loved you for so long and I've waited for so long. Now I have you, I don't ever want to let you go. Please. Stay with me.”
Soohee stared up into his eyes and felt her heart race at how beautiful and gorgeous they were. And probably because of his words, but mostly due to his eyes. “Of course I'll stay with you.” She said gently. “Why wouldn't I when I have been pinning after Mr. Handsome for so long.” She said with a giggle. Chanyeol smiled softly and leaned forward and kissed her softly. It was soft and quick, but she loved it all the same.
“Then let's go. And we'll start a new life together and be happy together.” Chanyeol said gently with a smile. Soohee nodded and smiled softly as they pulled back and Chanyeol started the jeep.
“Everything will be okay, right?” she asked.
“Of course. Trust me.”
~*~
“Dad, no! Stop it! Let me go!” Soohee shouted as she struggled in the grips of a few of the male wolves her father had dragged with him. She wasn't sure how they knew their plans or how to find them, but they did. It was probably just their keen sense of smell. That was the only possible reason she could think of, of how they found them this far out of the city.
“I would expect this kind of thing from Baekhyun, but you? Why Soohee? Why are you going to associate yourselves with these rebels?” Mr. Byun asked as he motioned to her brother. His mate and Chanyeol, all of whom were being detained as well. Though it was taking more people to hold Chanyeol back as he was being scolded so loudly by his father. She could hear every nasty word he was calling her and her brother and she just couldn't take anymore. “Soohee! Answer me!”
“He's my mate!” the words fell from her lips before she could even stop to fully process her train of thought. The announcement seemed to draw the attention of everyone as they all went silent.
“Excuse me?” Mr. Park asked, eyes wide.
“Chanyeol is my mate.” She said softly and jerked herself from the slacking grips of the men. “He is mine, and Baekhyun has found his and the rest of you are acting like spoiled little children!”
“Soohee!”
“No dad! It's true. You all are supposed to be adults, filled with wisdom that's supposed to help guide your children as they become adults and start their own family. And here you both are, two families that don't give a shit about their own children and are just obsessed with whatever power they can have!” She sneered, disgusted.
“Byun, put a stop to her before I do.” Mr. Park warned, but was greeted with a very angry growled and rough shove as Chanyeol tore himself from the four men holding him back. Their strength together was nowhere near a match for Chanyeol’s strength when he really used it, like he had in this case.
“You won't touch her.” Chanyeol growled out as he moved to Soohee and pulled her close to him, his arm wrapped tightly around her waist to protect her. “And she's right. Ever since it was announced what my future status would be, all you or anyone else has ever cared about was that. You held me so high up on a pedestal, out of the reach for anyone you deemed unworthy. You never stopped to ask what I wanted or if I've found my mate. Well, dad, I have. And it's not Baekhyun. It was never Baekhyun and it would be selfish and wrong of me to try and keep him from his own mate.”
“Chanyeol.” Mr. Park floundered for words to speak, but he couldn't even form a decent, coherent sentence.
“We know who we love, who we are meant to be with, and what we're doing is the only way we can be with them. So either you accept this reality or step aside and let us leave.” Everyone was silent for a long while, staring at the two before looking at the two fathers.
“Soohee...there was an agreement…”
“And it can still be upheld. Just not with Baekhyun, but me instead. You can still have whatever it is you want. And the rest of us can be happy. The last thing I've ever wanted to do is leave you and mom but I can't live without him. I don't want to feel our bond break. It'll kill me.” she said softly.
“Don't be so dramatic, it won't kill you if…” Mr. Park started but paused. “You haven't marked her, have you?”
Chanyeol stared at his father intently before moving his hand and lifting her shirt slightly to show the mark he had left on her side. “Three weeks ago, when she went into heat,” he said proudly. “She is mine. Forever.” he announced and pulled her closer as he leaned down slightly to nuzzle her head.
“Dad please.” Baekhyun whispered. “Just let us be happy.”
Mr. Byun looked between his two children and sighed heavily. “We can't fight it now. A bond has been made, I assume for both of them. The elders wouldn’t take too kindly if we destroyed them for selfish reasons.” he sighed. “And it would hurt me to hurt my children, I should have realized that from the beginning.” he said and walked over to Baekhyun as he was finally released. “Are you sure?”
“Yes.” Baekhyun said and smiled. “There is no denying, he is the one.” he said and looked over at Yixing. Mr. Byun sighed, nodded and looked over, waving his hand in signal for Yixing to be released. The silent alpha moved to Baekhyun and hugged him tightly, nuzzling against his neck.
“I suppose I have two unions to prepare for now.” Mr. Byun smiled. “Let's get you all home before your mothers have a fit.”
“Oh...yeah.” Mr. Park cleared his throat. “Chanyeol, I'll need you to-”
“Yeah dad. Don't worry. I'll call her down.” Chanyeol laughed. It was funny to see such a composed man cower in fear at the mention of his angry wife.
~*~
Soohee smiled as she flopped back on her bed, a laugh leaving her as Chanyeol stumbled out of his pants, hopping around to try and kick off the offending garments before finally flinging it across her room. It hit her closed door and he winced before climbing into her bed. “Are you new to taking off pants?” she asked teasingly.
“Oh shut up.” Chanyeol chuckled as he laid down next to her and stared at her face. “It's not my fault you have me tripping over my feet.” he teased and chuckled as she blushed. “You're so cute. You know that?” he asked as he reached out and stroked her head and cheek lightly.
“I can't help but to know it. You tell me all the time.” she said gently as she leaned into the touch. Sighing softly, she leaned in and kissed him, her lips brushing teasingly over his lips every time he dipped in to try and deepen the kiss. A soft giggle left her, followed by Chanyeol’s own growl as he nipped at her bottom lip as Soohee pulled completely back.
“You are such a tease.” Chanyeol groaned and pouted as he stared at her smiling face. “Soohee.” he whined out and Soohee giggled at it. She reached up and poked his nose lightly.
“What?” she asked with a smirk.
“I want a kiss.”
“You just had a kiss.”
“I want another.” he said as he slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her close to him.
“Don't be greedy.” she teased and Chanyeol huffed. “Oh, aren't you so cute?” she said and pinched his cheek lightly.
Chanyeol stared at her with narrowed eyes and huffed again before he leaned in and captured her lips in a deep and passionate kiss. Soohee giggled slightly into the kiss before melting into it, pressing herself against him tightly. Everything just felt so right. She finally had the man of her dreams, she could openly be with him and start working on their future together and that excited her. Her future was with Chanyeol and hopefully with some children as well.

🆃🅰🅶🅻🅸🆂🆃 🆁🆄🅻🅴🆂
➮ going forward, these rules will apply to all taglists (see this post for why)
»» when filling out the form, PLEASE DO NOT USE A URL BEGINNING WITH 'https://". Just put in your username with the @ symbol. And do not fill out my taglists with links or the names of my own posts. There's literally no way for me to figure out who you are or what you mean. The name/URL is your @. It's really not that difficult. And please make sure it's spelled correctly before submitting. Otherwise, I won't be able to tag you.
»» if you change your blog name at any point AFTER joining the taglist, it is up to you to notify me of any changes. I will not seek you out to fix it. That's not my responsibility, that's on you. After 10 (ten) days, you will be removed from the taglist.
»» you must have your age listed or indicated somewhere on your blog. I have to know you're over 18. Ageless blogs and minors will NOT be added to taglists and will be instead blocked with minors being added to the ever-growing blacklist.
»» you must interact with the posts you want to be tagged in. If you do not, you will be removed from the taglist and a note will be made. I'm not going to do you a solid in exchange for nothing.
»» if you have been inactive without prior notification (on your blog or made a post) for 6 (six) months, you will be removed from my taglists. Anyone on announced hiatuses will be temporarily removed from taglists (unless discussed beforehand) and will be reinstated upon return.
»» do not send asks or DMs or comment on posts to join my taglists. You must fill out the form. I have the form linked on my pinned post and after the first of the year, I will be going through and updating the links on my posts. Remember me: lily of the valley. With school, work, and other life commitments, I cannot keep track of asks and comments for taglists anymore. Please use the form.
»» blank and empty blogs will not be added. If your blog is blank, it shows me that you don't reblog and you're only here to silently read. Which is fine, but you don't get to be added to taglists if you aren't going to interact with the stuff you consume. Reblogging is the best and most important thing you can do on this website. Likes are nice but there's no algorithm on here. All liking does is save the post in your likes, it doesn't help circulate the posts. Reblogging does. Writers want actual feedback. We love that shit.
»» please make sure your visibility is on! Anyone I cannot tag will be removed if the issue is not corrected after a few days. If I cannot initially tag you, I will message the blog you attached to the form. If I do not hear back in 10 days, you will not be added.
If for whatever reason, you absolutely cannot get the form to work for you, please send me a DM or ask to be added to the taglist but please, PLEASE, specify which taglist you want to be added to and what content you want to be tagged in (sfw, nsfw, both, etc.) Only use this option if you absolutely cannot get the form to work.

Our Memories Carved into the Season
The Sky That Doesn’t End Series Masterlist (coming soon)
Genre: EXO AU, High School
Rating: PG
Pairing: Chanyeol x Myeong-suk (OC)
Summary: In which a new girl comes to school. A new girl determined to be alone. That's no problem for a happy virus though. Chanyeol has suddenly found a desire to make a deep connection with someone outside of his brothers, regardless of the trials presented.
Next, AO3
Chapter 1: First Meetings
Wednesday: March 7th, 2013
He turned away from the others as the bell rang, the teacher got everyone’s attention, and they gave their morning greeting. Chanyeol’s eyes, however, did not leave the girl that stood next to the teacher, her eyes downcast as she shifted nervously.
“Everyone, this is Lee Myeong-suk,” the teacher said. “Transferring schools in the middle of the year is difficult, so be sure to make her feel welcome.”
He gestured at Myeong-suk, and she gave a quick bow. “Hello everyone, I look forward to joining you for the rest of the year. Please take care of me,” she said. When she looked up, their eyes locked, and his heart stopped for a second as they both quickly looked away.
The teacher gestured her to a chair, and he tried not to look up as she passed next to him to take the empty seat at the desk behind his, with Baekhyun. Kai snickered next to him and elbowed him in the ribs. He pouted at the younger man, then ducked his head, rubbing the back of his neck as his face heated up.
~~~
She studied the boy in front of her while also trying to focus on the teacher, but after they’d made eye contact while she was being introduced, she couldn’t help but feel drawn to him. He was all long limbs, big ears, and had the definition of puppy dog eyes that reminded her of a spaniel, or a beagle. Whichever kind, he definitely gave off the vibe of an overgrown puppy. That thought had only been made more concrete when he’d sent a pout at his deskmate and she’d caught his profile as she took her seat.
She found herself wanting him to turn again so she could study his profile more, instead of just the back of his head. Almost as though he heard her thoughts (or maybe felt her stare), he started to shift awkwardly, and realizing he was trying to glance behind at her, she ducked her head down, jotting a few notes.
Once she was sure he’d turned back, she grimaced, turning her head as she tried not to bury her face in her arms or glance back at him. Instead, she found her desk mate watching her with a smirk on his face, and she quickly felt her own grow hot all the way to her roots. Realizing she’d been caught, she glued her eyes back on her notes, swearing to not look back up.
All she’d wanted was to get through high school in her own bubble, invisible to the other students, but now she felt like she had a neon sign over her head.
She was just succeeding in refocusing her thoughts when a yellow sticky note appeared in her peripheral. She tried to ignore it, but her deskmate gave a huff and moved it to the edge of her notebook with a quick tap before his hand disappeared again.
His name is Chanyeol :)
She tried to continue ignoring it, but eventually, she gently pulled it off, considered wadding it up, then with a sigh, put it in the pocket in the front of her notebook.
~~~
Chanyeol joked with the others as they finished in the lunch line, dodging slaps and head pats, which they usually failed at due to his height. As they looked for a table, his eyes sought out the new girl, who he quickly found sitting alone at a table against the back wall. Her attention was on a book instead of her food, and she had an earbud in one ear, her head bobbing randomly to whatever tune played through.
“Chan-ah, Chen found a table,” Kai said, bumping Chanyeol’s arm, then following his distracted gaze. “Oh?”
“You guys go ahead,” Chanyeol said, his legs leading him away.
“Oppa,” Irene whined, grabbing onto his arm and breaking his gaze. “Where are you going?”
“Uh,” he stuttered, meeting her gaze then looking back at Myeong-suk. “The new girl is alone. I’m gonna see if she wants company.” He ignored the teasing from his brothers and continued on to his intended target.
Irene huffed in annoyance, opening her mouth to protest, but stopped when Kai patted her shoulder.
“It’s alright,” he said.
“Yeah.” Feilong draped his arm over her shoulders, pulling her along. “We don’t always have to eat together. Let’s go.”
Her gaze followed Chanyeol for a second longer before letting it go, satisfied that she had Feilong and Kai’s attention for now.
~~~
“Um,”
The sudden voice jolted her out of the world that had filled her thoughts, and she pulled her eyes away from the book pages to the boy standing on the other side of the table.
Chanyeol.
He balanced his full tray in his one hand, the other rubbing the back of his neck nervously as he shifted on his feet.
“Would it be alright if I sit here?” he asked, meeting her eyes.
She glanced around at the empty table, then to the group he had come in with, then back at him. His eyes had dropped to the table and his smile was awkward, possibly trying to save face.
“S-sorry,” he moved to leave, but she shot forward in her chair, and his surprised gaze met her own. She looked down and clasped her hands in her lap, her face going hot from her actions.
“Yes,” she said quietly. “I mean, that seat is open.”
She cautioned a glance up at him and was greeted with one of the happiest smiles she’d ever seen.
“Thanks. It’s Myeong-suk right? I’m Chanyeol,” he said, pulling out the chair across from hers and sliding into it. She inhaled in shock, not having noticed how deep his voice was earlier when he’d made his request. Pulling her eyes away in an attempt to not be caught staring, she closed her book and focused on eating her food. Maybe he would just eat in silence.
“What are you listening to?”
Myeong-suk looked up as he took a bite, his eyes trained intently on her as he waited for a response. After swallowing her own bite she turned her phone so that he could see the screen. “A soloist,” she said, but didn’t elaborate.
“Oh, John Park!” He pointed excitedly at the screen. “I’ve listened to him before. Is this new?”
She nodded her head, a smile alighting on her face. “Yeah. I don’t feel like he’s very well known yet, so I’m surprised you know him. I think he has a new album coming out this summer.”
“I like studying guitarists,” Chanyeol said, meeting her eyes again. “I really like his sound.”
“Me too,” she said, caution forgotten at the shared interest. “It’s really calming.”
“I’m glad he’s coming out with an album. I haven’t really been keeping up with new music lately.”
“Oh, you should check out the new season of Superstar K. I think they have a new guitarist.”
“Really? Yeah, I’ll have to look into it.”
They fell into silence, using their food as an excuse to try and think of something else. Chanyeol rapped his fingers against his knee as she took out her earbud and set her phone aside.
“Do you...” He coughed, trying to clear the awkward air. “Do you play?”
She shook her head, biting into a carrot. “Not really.” He watched her as she took another bite, waiting for her to continue. “Um, I learned the piano when I was young, but we’ve moved a lot, so we sold it.”
“Oh.” He dropped his eyes and looked almost apologetic, but she couldn’t figure out if it was because he brought it up or that she’d lost the instrument, which he’d played no part in. His face brightened up again, and she could see an idea in his eyes. “There’s a piano here at the school that you could use if you wanted to pick it up again.” He looked very satisfied in seeming to have come to her rescue, like a dog presenting her with a stick he’d found.
She smiled awkwardly with a small nod, shoulders curling inward, her original desire to go unnoticed resurfacing. “What about you?” she asked, trying to get his focus off of her. “Do you play the guitar?”
He nodded enthusiastically, his shaggy hair falling into his eyes. “I play the guitar and piano, and I’m learning the drums.” His lopsided grin was back as he watched her reaction.
“Woah! Are you trying to become a one-man band?” she said, leaning forward on the table.
“No,” he said through laughter, waving a hand. He tried to stifle his laughter, and she couldn’t help but smile at his overreaction. “Sorry. It’s just that my brothers always say the same thing.”
“Your brothers?” she asked, her eyes darting over quickly to the group of guys from class.
“Well, friends I guess,” he amended quickly, sitting up straighter and pulling on his ear. “We’re just so close that it feels like we’re brothers. So it seems like a more accurate label.”
After that, he focused back on his food, and she let it drop. She knew the signs when someone wanted a conversation to change. But instead of picking up a new topic, she dug into her own food, thankful for the break. Hopefully, he would find their conversation uncomfortable and go back to eating with his friends. Or that’s what she tried to convince herself she wanted. But she couldn’t deny that there was a part of her deep down that was drawn to his bright smile and sweet spirit.
No.
She finished her food quickly, then stood, giving Chanyeol a small bye before starting to leave.
“Wait,” he said, standing, stretching out his hand only to drop it at her surprised expression. “Um, I’ll see you in class I guess.” She gave a small nod which he returned with a lopsided grin.
Thursday: March 8th, 2013
Okay. Take two.
He took a deep breath as he picked up his tray from the line, then turned, his eyes scanning the loud cafeteria. He finally found her in the back corner, face once again buried in a book as she ate, but she had earbuds in both of her ears today. He scrunched his forehead as he made his way over, trying to make a plan.
He thought they’d been having a nice conversation until the piano and moving was brought up. So, both were sore subjects. On top of that, he’d slipped, and she’d noticed, retreating shortly after.
She clearly hadn’t planned on making friends with the way she purposefully kept away from everyone, but he wouldn’t let that stop him. He’d been there before, so he wanted to keep trying. There was a pull that he couldn’t explain and something about their conversation the day before told him that she didn’t actually want to be alone.
That being said, if she flat out told him to leave her alone, he would.
He slid into the seat across from her again, immediately digging into his food to make the action seem normal, as well as avoid her surprised gaze. She looked around and he assumed she was trying to find the others again.
Taking another bite he smiled up at her. Her return smile was quick and she went back to her book, not bothering to remove her earbuds today.
“How are you doing today?” he asked.
“Good. You?” her response was one out of manners and not actual curiosity, but he ignored that.
“Doing okay.” he shrugged. “I’m probably going to fail our quiz tomorrow.” She hummed in response, taking another bite of food, her focus remaining on the book. After a few minutes of silence, he turned his head awkwardly, catching her attention.
“What are you doing?”
“Just trying to read the title,” he said, squinting at the unique script. “Trumpet Creeper?” He turned his big eyes to her, now larger due to his curiosity. “Is it good?”
“Um, yeah.” He smiled at how her eyes had widened when she met his gaze, they seemed to do that a lot. “It’s a period manhwa.”
“What’s it about?” He scooted his seat forward, eyes trained on her as he took another bite.
He chalked the rest of lunch as a success as she explained her book, completely startled once lunch was over and she had lost herself. His smile fell as he watched her mind try to shift back to her earlier countenance, and he reached out gently to her shoulder as she tried to zoom away. “Do you think I could borrow it once you’re done?” He asked, watching her process his request.
“Um… sure.”
“Thanks,” he said, dropping his hand. She nodded and quickly headed back to class.
“Did it go better today?” Chen said, jolting him out of his thoughts as he watched her retreating back.
“Yeah, I think so.”
Friday: March 9th, 2013
On the third day, as he made his way over, he could tell she was expecting him. Her headphones were off, connected to her phone but rolled up on the table. She was reading, but as soon as he moved to sit down, she let the book fall flat on the table, the thump startling him and making him pause.
He waited for her to say something, and then finished lowering himself into the chair as she just observed him. When he had settled and she still didn’t speak up, he chuckled.
“Is something—”
“Did you have a fight with your friends?”
“Uh…”
“Is that why you haven’t been sitting with them?”
“No, I just—”
“Then why are you insisting on sitting with a stranger who has very gently tried to make it clear that she wants to be left alone?”
“I was—”
“Look, I know you’re trying to be nice, thank you. But I just want to read my book and get through high school, hopefully before moving again. I’m not looking to make friends.” She finally stopped, taking a deep breath. He stayed silent, taken completely aback at her sudden outburst, not sure how to respond. When she threw her book and phone in her bag, his brain got back in gear, and he reached for her wrist just as she stood and was gathering her tray. Her eyes met his and they had gone glossy, her face red, and he knew she’d never meant to actually say everything she did.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. But could I talk now?” He spoke softly and loosened his hand so that she could pull away if she wanted to. She didn’t say anything but dropped her gaze, and then lowered back into her seat. “I know what it’s like to be in a new place without a familiar face. And I know what it’s like to tell yourself that you’re better off not trying to make connections.” Her eyes raised back up to his. “But I found that making friends, having someone reach out, can be really great, even if you know that you will probably fall out of touch at some point.”
He pointed back at the group of guys who were being as loud as ever. “I’ve known those idiots for as long as I can remember. We get separated a lot, and I’m still out of touch with another friend, but I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I know we won’t always be together, but for now, they give me a reason to smile. I guess I just wanted to pass that on.” He sighed and rubbed the back of his head, withdrawing his hand from her wrist. “I also understand needing space though, so I’ll respect that, and if you want someone to talk to, I’ll be around.” He gave her a final smile, and rose from his chair, grabbed his tray, and headed to his brothers.
He’d be teased by some, but Suho would probably be relieved. He was already nervous about having Irene around when Feilong had first introduced her to the group, but Suho had warmed up pretty fast. Chanyeol had hoped the same could happen with Myeong-suk, but it didn’t matter now.
~~~
A little over a week later, he was suddenly intercepted by Myeong-suk as he packed his backpack at the end of the day. She hadn’t even spared him a glance in that time, so he was surprised when she tapped on his arm.
“Um, Chanyeol?” Her voice was quiet and her eyes were trained on her desk. Kai and Baekhyun met his eyes then retreated, pulling the others along.
“What’s up?” he asked, trying to sound casual.
“About last week.” She took a deep breath, then met his eyes. “I’m really sorry. And, um, I’m not sure that I’m ready for a friend, but—” she stopped and then shuffled around in her backpack, pulling out the peach-colored manhwa they’d discussed. “I finished it and you said you wanted to borrow it, so I thought maybe we could talk about it once you’re finished.”
He slowly took it from her, focusing on the cover of the book instead of her. “Thank you,” he said, unable to hold back a smile. “I’m really looking forward to it.”
“I’ll um,” she started. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” She grabbed her backpack and rushed to the door.
“Hey, Myeong-suk,” he called. She paused and turned back to face him. “You didn’t have to apologize. But thank you.”
Two days later, he was ecstatic when she came in before class started and could barely keep from immediately getting her attention. Instead, he waited a minute for her to settle in, then turned around in his seat.
“Hey, Myeong-suk,” he said, bouncing slightly, a smile growing when she met his gaze.
“Yeah?”
“I finished it,” he said, holding up the manhwa for her to see, then handed it to her. “Would you be free after school today to talk about it?”
“That was fast,” she whispered, taking the book. “Um, yeah, I’m free.”
“Awesome,” he said, swiveling back in his seat as the teacher entered the room.

18 June 1895 Paris, France
To my dearest, most valued, friends and patrons:
I, as many of you, am still reeling from the profound loss of our dearest composer, conductor, and house owner Park Chanyeol. His untimely departure from this world has left a cavernous space in his shape within all of our lives, and I believe it is time, weeks on, to remember the place he held within this community. Moreover, or more succinctly, the place he held within this opera house. The reading of his will to our staff and benefactors has left many of you profoundly shocked by his intent, and, even more so, shocked by his lack of a blood heir.
Thus, I think it is time you all know the quiet side of him, the silent pieces he let no one but me see. In many cases, he was exactly as many of you remember him. Yet, to me, he was infinitely more. My memory of him, and, perhaps, of this opera house will differ significantly from other more popular accounts and that is why I share this story with you today.

I’m a Baby Too | 18+
Genre: slight fluff, smut, husband!Sehun
Main Characters: Oh Sehun x reader (oc: female)
Kink List: age play, voyeurism, nipple play, creampie, oral (receiving and giving), sex toys, slight femdom, gagging
Summary: When you and your husband goes on a ski trip, you find yourself feeding him more than you feed your own son.
Word Count: 1.5k+ words
Your body felt sore as your son, Sanghoon, finally drifted into sleep with little baby snores. It was tiring to be a mother, what more a nursing one? Even holidays don't count as a break for you.
"Merry Christmas!" Oh Sehun, your baby daddy, entered the room. You rolled your eyes at how immature he was. He was the father of your 4-month old baby boy yet he was a baby himself. All loud and childish.
He went into your room's bathroom. The villa that your husband and his friends rented were pretty big and it provided bathrooms for each bedroom.
It was a chilly holiday for you guys as Yixing being the confused person that he was, chose Ilulissat, Greenland for Christmas vacation. He thought Greenland had grassy fields and a country breeze. Turns out, it was a freezing country. At least the northern lights that appeared every night made it better.
Sehun came out with only his boxers on. It was freezing yet this man liked being naked wherever he was. "Yeobo, put some clothes on. Also, turn the heater up." You breathed out and laid on your back.
He did turn the heater up but neglected the clothes part. Instead, he climbed on the bed with you, still in his boxers only. You rolled your eyes at how stubborn he could get.
He wrapped his big arms around your stomach while sniffing your neck. He tends to get clingy whenever he got horny and this was one of those. "Yeobo, I'm tired." You tried to push him away but he was glued to your neck.
You let him be as he started licking the sensitive skin of your nape. You only moaned a little, clearly showing no interest in doing such.
Suddenly, you heard Sanghoon cry from his crib. Your mother instinct was to stand up immediately and pick him up. This baby barely stops crying. He was a needy one unlike his father who could go pn days without you as long as he had PUBG.
Sehun groaned in frustration as he looks at the crying baby in your arms. He got up and walked towards the two of you.
"Hey, if you weren't a baby, I'd kick you out right now for stealing my wife's attention." He grunted childishly. What a troublesome and jealous dad. "Hun, he's a child and he's not just any child, he is yours." You roll your eyes at him for the umpteenth time today.
Sanghoon kept on crying despite you cradling him. His father's grimace was still on his face as you sat back down on the bed and gave the child more of your attention.
You slowly took off the sweater you were wearing. Sehun's eyes glinted with lust immediately as he saw you in your lacy bra alone.
He sat down beside you as you let Sanghoon drink from your breast. You could see your own husband stiffen from time to time as he stares at your exposed boob that fed your baby.
After a few coos, Sanghoon finally settled back to sleep. Sehun took him from you and placed him back on the crib so slowly. You smiled gleefully at the sight of your husband holding a smaller version of him as if it was fragile.
He immediately hops back on the bed with you when he successfully puts his own child back in his crib. His eyes were hungry and the need inside you started growing too.
The warmth of his hand met your waist as he let you sit up on the bed's headboard. His eyes were glued onto your swollen breasts as if he saw them for the first time.
His impatience got the better of him as he didn't even bother to unhook your bra. He just pushed the lace down enough to expose your right boob and you moan at the contact of his fingers and your breast.
As speed as lightning, he latches onto your swollen boob and starts sucking as if he was a four month old baby like his son too. Your hands find his growing bulge and let it spring free.
"You're this hard? For my boobs? We've been married for more than two years already and you're still this horny." You complain in between moans. He only hums in response as his free hand cups your other boob.
You could see his veiny erection twitch at the touch of your fingers. You wrap your hand around his thick shaft and started moving it up and down. He groans at the sensation, sucking on your nipples even harder.
"Hun, oh my God." He takes his mouth off your swollen red peak and starts tearing your panties off underneath your nightgown.
You take off your nightgown before he starts shredding it into pieces like the hungry animal that he is. He gives your bare body a quick once over and his erection starts twitching, itching for your touch.
Seeing his evident need, you place yourself on top of his hard member. You start by running your hand up and down as he hisses at your slow pace. "What a whiny baby." You growl playfully before taking him in as a whole with your mouth.
You bob your head up and down, your mouth enveloping his masculinity and your tongue tracing his veins. "Fuck." He growls, clutching the bed sheets underneath him.
Hearing him swear made you want to suck him off even harder. You deepthroat him, his tip hitting your tonsils and driving him crazier. Your tiny gags made him moan even louder as if his friends weren't next door and his own child was in the same room.
Deepthroating him after one too many times, he releases his juice into your mouth, making you swallow it all. He lets out a breath before flipping you over, placing you below him.
He reaches out to the nightstand beside your bed and grabs something. After a few seconds, you see it was two nipple vibrator cups.
"Surprise!" He smirks, latching them onto your hard peaks. He presses a remote in his hand as he went down on you.
The device started milking you as his tongue played with your clit. "Fuck, Hun, fuck!" You curse, making him smirk against your lips down there. He increases the intensity of the nipple cups, making it milk you even harder.
"Hunie!" You scream as his tongue was now delving inside you, his lips touching your heated femininity. He grips your thighs as he ate you more aggressively.
"Oh my God. Oh my God." You chant as you feel your release coming, making your whole being shake with intensity and your pussy release too much fluids.
He licks you clean and smirks to himself after seeing your back arch and eyes roll. He loved pleasuring you and seeing you like this got him harder than he already was.
He removes the cups from your breast that was now wet with milk. His tongue immediately licked it clean. A greedy baby, you thought.
You slide off below him and push his back onto the bed. His 9 inches was now standing proud, twitching as he eyed his erotic view of you naked and sloppy with breastmilk.
Being married for more than two years, you already knew how he liked it. He loved it when you were on top while moaning out his name and calling him 'baby'.
Without hesitation, you place yourself on top of him and slips his dick inside you. You feel every inch of it as he moans at your tightness. "God, Y/N." He groans, throwing his head back when you start riding him like a pro.
You move yourself up and down, feeling him all the way. He stares at your bouncing swollen breasts and he swears he can't help but be greedy.
He pulls you down to hold onto the bed frame. Your nipples were now reachable for him to suckle as you rode him in a relentless pace.
"Baby..." You moan, his tongue flicking your peak up and down while his eyes staying glued onto your breasts. "Fuck, baby!" You scream even louder when he starts pinching the other nipple and the milk starts squirting onto his face. He was obsessed with your boobs and that thought made you even wetter every time you had sex.
You were now squirting as you pounded him harder. He grabs your hips and lets you feel him all the way in as he started filling you up to the brim.
"Oh, God." You breathily gasp, finally finishing. You both quickly slip your clothes back on after hearing a knock on your door.
Sehun takes the initiative and opens the door. "Bro." He awkwardly greets Chanyeol who was the one who knocked. "Hey, Yixing said we have to go the ski club he mentioned yesterday." Sehun only nods and closes the door.
He changes into his ski clothes and kisses you on your forehead before leaving. You were now busy with Sanghoon who was woken up by his dad's departure.
You take the child into your arms and cradle him back to sleep. Successfully, he returns to sleep without crying for milk. Your breasts were sore, thanks to his dad.
Putting your baby boy back into the crib, your phone pings. It was a text notification.
'Send boobs pls. How I wish I stayed and sucked on it all day.' -sehun

I need some more people to roleplay with! I only do double roleplays. Oc x members (female) as well. No singles cause I don’t think that’s very fair.
So here is what I’m interested in, along with my love interests:
-iKon (Bobby) also main one I’m looking to rp
-BTS (Yoongi)
-EXO (Chanyeol)
-Stray Kids (Changbin)
-Ateez (Wooyoung or Seonghwa)
Sorry that it’s all Kpop related, I hope at least one or two of you are interested. And if there are any other ideas related to my list, just ask. (Like anyone from the Hip Hop genre. Jay Park, Gray, pH-1, etc.)
Rules: 1.) Length and Literacy. I prefer a more light responses, not paragraph after paragraph. But I do want some effort. No one lined responses. Basic grammar and spelling would be amazing. No text talk, please.
2.) Limits I will only write things involving crime, smut, drug and/or alcohol abuse. Nothing involving cannibalism, pedophelia, body waste, or extreme BDSM. I will only do a light BDSM and kinks just nothing too extreme.
If you want anything with smut (especially since I like doing that from time to time) please be 18+.
3.) Commitment I don’t like it when you disappear after setting up a roleplay. I’ve had so many people do that to me already, and I hate it. So if you want to rp, please be committed. If you don’t want to do it anymore, than just tell me instead of disappearing. But I’m looking for more of a long-term rp partner.

Chapter 4
September 30, 1990
I guess I look so miserable that Chanyeol keeps offering to take me to the dorms in disguise to visit Anna. I didn’t accept. What excuse could I use to appear in their basement and then walk around the female dorms?
I had to miss classes for over a month. After all the meetings with the Order, I had to accompany my father to visit some cities and make some public appearances. I always enjoy doing that. Despite everything, people show honest care and support to me. I like to listen to them, even if my father gives me weird looks. They never complained, but if I pushed a little harder, they would tell me how tough winter was on them. It was hard to get food and they could only heat their houses with coal which made them very sick. I made sure that people from the Clan from that zone came to help them.
Now that I’m back, I still have meetings and public appearances to attend.
I want to meet Anna in between. But wishing is not enough, so I did what I could.
I peaked in the drawer.
I loved what I found.
It was way past midnight, and he couldn’t sleep.
And this wasn’t the first time.
He has been having trouble sleeping for more than a week now.
He went to the bathroom, hoping that a warm shower could help. Kyung Soo was taking his clothes off when his eyes went to the vent on the wall next to the sink. The light copper grille shone under the dim light of his bathroom. A soft breeze came in, always, which during winter was always a bother. That was the entrance to the passage that connected both sides of the castle, specifically his room with the geography room.
Kyung Soo put his clothes back on and went to his room for a coat. On his way he grabbed the copy of the key to the drawer he shared with Anna in the geography room.
He was sure he wasn’t going to meet her there at that time of the night, but he wanted to see his book. Check if she had been studying it.
He got on his knees and opened the grille, holding it open with his left hand as he slid inside effortlessly. He had to climb down three stories, no rest in between. Although after doing it so many times, Kyung Soo had his little tricks to climb down faster.
The daddy long-legs were already building their webs on the side of the ladder, making his little getaway slightly less pleasant. The tiny, flickering lights illuminated the stairs enough to guide him, although he had to adjust his eyes to see better. By now he could slide down the stairs, stopping once in a while to not be too arrogant and have a painful fall.
He skipped the last steps and jumped down, the echo of his landing echoed down the passage. He turned on the lights and saw how, slowly, the halogens light up, illuminating his way. Even with the light, it was scary. It was incredibly silent, which made him miss Chanyeol and Sehun. This wasn’t his first time alone down there, but it never got easier. He began walking quickly, humming loudly to distract himself. He had a good ten-minute walk ahead, with a couple of ladders in between.
He ran the last part of the track, his imagination already playing tricks on him. He opened the first door in a hurry and then opened the padlock of the second door with the four-number password. The wooden door opened with a crack, and the darkness of the geography room welcomed him.
Kyung Soo left the door open so the light from the passage could illuminate the classroom. Surprisingly the room wasn't that dirty. Anna clearly took care of the cleaning part. The table that she used was the cleaner one. That was the only clue that she left behind. He went to the drawer and unlocked it, smiling at the sight of the book, a couple of pencils, and a notebook. He stared at them for a while, celebrating internally. Feeling slightly apologetic he grabbed the book and the notebook and sat at the table that she used, ready to see what she had been up to.
As suspected, Anna had been studying. Her small notebook was filled with drawings and notes. She copied some of the maps of the book and wrote down notes regarding places of interest. There was a page dedicated to each library in the castle, a total of five. The first one had a small red cross in the corner of the page. He was immediately filled with questions. For now, he couldn't hold a conversation with her so he cut a piece of paper and wrote it down.
- Are you looking for the hidden library? -
Did red cross mean she had already visited that library? He could have killed someone just so he could have her there to ask all the questions he had.
He hid the paper between the pages and kept reading her notes, hoping that tomorrow he could have some answers written down in that same piece of paper.
There was also another page dedicated to the greenhouse. The private greenhouse that could only be visited by him and his parents. He knew he wanted to take her there someday. Kyung Soo suspected that those places were going to catch her interest. Probably she heard rumors about those two places.
There were also notes regarding safety. Such as passages to avoid, specific parts where she should be careful, like stairs, low ceilings, and possible imprisonment places. He grabbed the pen and began adding small notes. Writing next to her neat handwriting felt as if he was trying to engage in a conversation. He added comments, questions, he even praised one of her copies. He could have stayed there until the next day, even wait for her. But Chanyeol would kill him if he did something so risky and also, he was growing tired.
He wrote a last note for Anna, put everything back inside the drawer, and said goodbye to the geography room, closing the second door behind him.
Anna had to recognize that she was very strong. Strong enough to just stay away from the geography room during classes. She was so tempted to stay there the entire day learning the maps and analyzing the paths. But skipping class would be very irresponsible. So, every day after classes she bid goodbye to Junmyeon and very carefully walked to the geography room, always checking her back, always keeping very quiet. That Thursday she did the same, but when she opened the drawer, she found a surprise that made her jump on her seat, almost shrieking with excitement.
There was a note inside her notebook. A note that could only belong to the Prince. Kyung Soo had visited the room, she was sure. And he was asking her if she was doing exactly what she was doing. She knew he was smart, but she didn't know he was such a good observer. She wondered for a couple of minutes if she should answer, and finally decided to answer his question with a simple yes. There was no point in hiding it.
It was nice to see his handwriting next to hers. It was neat and clear. He could almost hear him speak his words next to her.
She searched for more of his messages and was glad to find a bunch of them. Little notes next to certain parts of the passages “Careful here with a deep step” or “This one is blocked with stones, you need to take this other entrance”. She made sure to highlight his notes that said “Don't get in this one, it's filled with rats” or “This one gives me the creeps I would not recommend to use it”.
She was thrilled with his comments. Not because she needed his approval, but she needed his advice, after all, he was the expert. But she also liked the idea that he would sneak into the geography room just to check on their book, just to make sure that she was using it. He had been away for more than a month and by now she was missing him, Chanyeol, and Sehun. She didn't only miss them she was also awfully curious about that book. She had questions that only they could answer. She needed to know what she could find in some of the rooms and where those passages lead outside the castle. The whole thing was so intricate, so smartly built, so useful that she needed to know details. real details, not lore that Junmyeon heard around.
But of course, she didn't wait for them to finally use them and try out those maps. Following the instructions she found in the book, she packed a flashlight, a light coat, and the map and went to the girl's bathroom on the 4th floor. Through the vent next to the last cubicle, she got inside the passage. It was dark, humid and filled with daddy long legs. Thank God she was not scared of spiders. At least not scared of those cute fellas.
That passage took you to two places. A library and a room that figured nameless on the map. The passage was short and she encountered two exits. The one to the left would take her to the library, the one to the right would take her to the mystery room. She took the left, focusing on her goal. She walked for five minutes crouching because the ceiling was slightly lower. The only light was the one coming from her flashlight. She could see the door to the library the whole time, so she began walking faster, growing a little bit scared.
When she reached the door she was so happy to find it unlocked. And as expected behind that first door there was a second one also unlocked. But when she opened it she encountered the back of a bookshelf. It was indeed a library, but it wasn't the library she was expecting. She had arrived at the university's library, the same one she attended every afternoon. She could see the librarians at their desk from where she was standing, hidden by the books. She sighed heavily and slowly closed the first door and then the second one.
She walked back to the girl's bathroom on the 4th floor. It was frustrating, but it was a damn good first experience. The passages were real, they connected the whole castle like an anthill. They were scary, dark and a little bit dirty but they opened so many doors, literal doors, for her curiosity and her need to find that secret library filled with the forbidden books.
That was going to be her goal until the time she left the country. She had to find those books, steal some of them, make copies and then spread them around the city. Her one and only rebellious act. Her goodbye gift to her dear country. Cause some ruckus putting ideas in people's minds.
It was stupidly ambitious and could get her in so much trouble. But she had the prince on her side, she knew he would protect her, or maybe even help her.
October 10th, 1990
Today I did what I wanted.
Being selfish, doing what you want once in a while is good for your health.
Most of her classes that Friday were canceled. So she had the whole afternoon to study the passages.
She skipped lunch and went straight to the geography room. It was warm, and the sunlight still illuminated the room, even when the windows were still covered with paper. She opened the drawer, hopeful, as always.
Because since the visit of the prince and the little notes he left, she has been waiting for him to do the same again. Every time she went to read and work on his book, she had been hoping to find something new in her notebook. There was never one, but she didn’t lose hope.
That Friday the story was the same. No notes. But it wasn’t hard to move on from that. After all, she had more important things to do.
Since Anna’s first encounter with the veracity of the passages, she didn’t dare to try again. Most passages were long, and she didn’t know which one of them had lighting or were just a dark maze to nowhere. Although she was sure that at some point she had to be brave and go in search of the library.
She was studying the map of a passage that ended in the exteriors of the castle when she felt steps behind the door. The passage door.
She stayed still on her seat, not scared about who could appear, but expectant. Hopping to see him appear behind that door. As always, the door handle shook, showing some resistance to do its job, and with a final push the door swung open. Kyung Soo appeared from behind it, scanning the room quickly and breaking into a smile when he saw her. Anna smiled back, feeling a warm shiver in her chest.
“I was hoping to find you here Anna” He greeted her from the door, walking inside cautiously rubbing his hands on his pants.
“I come here every day, you really caught my interest with this book” She grabbed said item and shook it in the air. He chuckled, scratching his ear as he stood across the table in front of her.
“How’s everything going Anna?” He asked, meeting her eyes for the first time.
“Just the same as always, I bet you are having more fun than me” She tried to sound casual, trying to take his attention away from her, and putting it on him. She was more interested in how he was doing and also didn’t want to confess how obsessed she was with the book.
“I was not having fun, not at all, I really want to go back to classes” He brought a chair closer and sat in front of her. Anna saw him scan the table, trying to pick into her notes and what she was doing. He had a soft smile on his lips and he looked more relaxed than when he arrived.
“How's the study going?” He clearly wasn’t referring to the university related studies.
“Studying is going really great, there are a lot of passages and as smart as I am I don't think I can memorize all of them, but I’m having a great time analyzing how they work, what pattern they follow, it’s very interesting,” She noticed that her tone was far from calm, and since Kyung Soo showed a content smile, she didn’t control herself.
“You don't have to memorize all of them, maybe just the ones that caught your interest” He gestured for her to lend him her notebook. Anna handed it to him with no hesitation. After all, he had already read it before.
“I saw your notes” She commented, and Kyung Soo only lifted his eyebrows, hiding his face.
“I'm sure you did, may I ask you what are you looking for?” She guessed he wanted a confirmation. And if he forbade her from saying dictatorship and put that book in her hands, Anna was sure that he wasn’t going to feel particularly mad about her subject of curiosity.
“Where does your father keep the forbidden books?” He lifted his head slowly, his eyes, with some hesitance, met hers. Kyung Soo stared at her for a couple of seconds and with a smile, he grabbed the book and searched for the page he needed. He found it close to the last pages of the book.
“This is the passage that's going to take you to the hidden library, every single book forbidden by the crown it's there, but I'll recommend you not to go yet, the order likes to have meetings there so it's not safe now” Kyung Soo stared at her in such a way that she didn’t even entertain the idea of doing the opposite of what she was told. But also, his words didn’t mean never.
“So I can go there?”
“I would like to take you there, but why are you so interested?” Anna stared at her hands as she caressed the soft wood of the table. There was no way she would answer that, not now. But she still could answer something.
“I'll tell you when you take me there” Her voice was a soft yet confident whisper. Kyung Soo’s eyes lit up and his face was finally showing some happiness.
“Promise?” He asked, clearly delighted.
“Do you promise to take me there?”
“Of course! Just not yet” He was serious, and she wasn’t going to go against his wish.
“Then it's a deal” Kyung Soo laughed softly, rubbing his neck, avoiding her eyes, again.
“Anna, I can't take you to the library now, but I can take you somewhere else. Do you have time?... Do you trust me?” Those two questions weighted so differently. She knew how to answer the first one, not the second one. But Kyung Soo’s bait was too strong. So she answered yes to both.
“I would like to take you to the private greenhouse, I'm sure you're gonna like it” She was already hanging from his hook.
“Can we go there?”
“Only three people can go there, the king, the queen and me, the king and the queen are out of town, so we are safe, not even the guards can go there” She had to ask the obvious. She always needed to know everything.
“Why do you want to take me there? If you don't mind me asking” Kyung Soo took some time to answer.
“I want to share it with you” That was enough reason for her. She grabbed the book, her notebook and shoved them in their drawer, locking it immediately. She was ready to leave.
Kyung Soo jumped from his seat and went to the passage door, holding it open for her. She grabbed her jacket and bag and dashed to his side, but stopped for a second, taking some distance from him.
“Wait, isn’t this going too fast?” Anna held her backpack in front of her, as some kind of shield, and waited for his answer, as if she needed to hear from him that all this was alright.
“Yes, it is, but there’s little time, there’s always little time, let’s go” He felt like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, although he was sure that Anna wouldn’t understand that reference. For now.
The walk from the castle to the greenhouse wasn’t too long but it was intense. They had to climb a couple of stairs and walk across a pitch dark hall. But he was carrying a flashlight, so they were safe.
Anna seemed rather confident. She was focused on the path, taking mental notes. But he noticed how she walked close to him, her hand always up, ready to hold him when needed. When they reached the first set of stairs, he was stupid enough to tell her to go first. Anna only smirked at him and grabbed the hem of her skirt. She was wearing the uniform, there was no way she would climb that stair with him looking up. He apologized and began climbing, with her following close. He checked on her a couple of times and she always sounded calm.
“I don’t understand why we are going up, then down and then up. We were on the fourth floor, and I imagine we are going across the castle to the ground floor right?”
“Yeah, it’s a mess, the passages were built after the castle was finished, so it’s messy, to say the least, we are pretty much going higher, so we can walk across the left wing of the castle, and then we are going down, until we reach the back gardens, if you imagine the castle as a square, we are going from the bottom, across the left edge of it, then across the upper edge and finally we reach the right, higher vertex…I don’t think I can’t explain it better”
“I think I can see it, and it’s very inconvenient” He helped her climb the last bit of the stairs as they reached the last steps. He giggled as she looked slightly annoyed and a bit out of breath. She made a cute gesture with her nose, a silent complaint to his laugh.
“Everything about this castle is inconvenient, but I don’t have the right to complain, people around the main city leave in houses that can barely be considered houses, I have a soft bed to sleep at night, but at least we can move around the castle and outside without being noticed, everybody thinks these passages are dead, only Chanyeol, Sehun and I are using them”
“And now me,” She added.
“And you, but cautiously, please” She promised him that she was going to be careful. And he trusted she would.
The last part of the walk was the dark path that went from one vertex to the other. It used to be lit up, but a water leak ruined the entire circuit, and there was no one who could fix it. So the flashlight came in handy. But the batteries available in the country were cheap and bad. So as always, at the last bit of the path, their only light went out. Kyung Soo waited for her reaction.
“Are you kidding me?” She whispered.
“It’s dead, sorry, but we are five minutes away…just…stay close” Kyung Soo jolted when he felt her arm against his. She apologized but didn’t move away.
It was too dark for his eyes to get used to it. The only noise was her breathing and steps against the stone floor. But quickly he was able to perceive another sound. He was sure Anna didn’t hear it. It took some practice to discern it, practice, and a bunch of horrible encounters with them. He felt the familiar squeaking of rats. It was probably one, the noise wasn’t too loud, but he couldn’t tell where it was, how close it was, or how big it was. Which was the worst.
The sound was louder now, and he noticed how Anna stopped walking. “What’s that noise?” She asked with urgency.
“Don’t think about it” He urged her to keep walking and she followed but with some hesitation.
“I’m not scared…I don’t care about them, it’s just…they have a bad reputation here” Kyung Soo knew what she meant. He knew that there were stories about the military using rats to torture, spread sickness, and even feed the inmates. He knew that some of them were true.
“We are about to reach the door, don’t worry” But he spoke too soon. The rat walked past them, and it was a big one. He felt it as if a small dog had just rubbed his ankle. Anna screamed loudly and almost climbed him like a tree.
“What was that?! A rat?! A coyote?!” Kyung Soo broke into laughter, trying to hold her so they wouldn’t fall and doing his best to calm her down.
“It was a rat, it was just a rat, it’s gone now, don’t worry,” He said between giggles “It’s gone now Anna”
“Stop laughing” She complained as she loosened his grip around his shoulders.
“I’m so sorry, it’s just…I don’t know why it’s funny, but I’m not going to laugh anymore, I promise, calm down Anna…we are almost there” He held her arm and helped her regain her balance. He was sure that the darkness took away some of her embarrassment.
“I hate this,” She mumbled. He asked her what she hated since there were some options.
“I hate the way I reacted, I used to have a pet spider, I grew up in the countryside, I can deal with rats” She explained to him.
“Well, under this pitch darkness, anything could scare you, come on, let’s keep walking” Anna hummed her response, and he could feel her again standing next to him, a shy hand holding the sleeve of his sweater.
They walked the last minutes in complete silence, paying attention to the sounds around them. Kyung Soo sensed the end of the path, so he lifted his left hand, and after a couple of steps, his hand touched the wooden door.
“We are here Anna” And without waiting for her answer, he pulled open the first door.
She had to keep her eyes closed for a while. The soft light of the room they got in was too much for her eyes after spending so long inside those dark passages.
She opened her eyes slowly, adjusting to the light and feeling the sting of her pupils contracting. They were in a storage room filled with sacks of dirt and garden tools.
“Everything alright?” He asked her, rubbing his eyes.
“Everything alright, Are we here already?”
“We are, follow me” He reached for her, but stopped his hand midway, turning around quickly and walking to the door.
When Kyung Soo described this place as a greenhouse, he was underplaying it.
That was a green mansion, a green castle.
The place that appeared in front of her was three stories high, built with glass and some kind of metal, with marble columns spread around. The highest point was an enormous circular dome made with a different kind of glass, a glass that caught the light of the sun in a different way, casting rainbow-like shades on the floor. The ceramic floor shone like a lake, it made her wonder if in fact the floor was covered by a thin layer of water.
The place was warm, slightly humid, there was a soft breeze caressing her face and making the leaves of the plants and trees flutter. There was so much green, different shades of it splattered with colorful patches of red, fuchsia, yellow, orange, and purple. Some columns were covered by ivy, reaching the ceiling of the greenhouse.
There was a noise, a pleasant one. A soft whisper of the leaves moving, the water running, the wind outside clashing with the glass walls.
There were also the soft whispers of Kyung Soo calling her name. She ignored him the first two times, enjoying it.
“Want me to give you a short tour, then you can walk around all you want” Kyung Soo had a way of speaking. A benevolence that wasn’t only present in the things he said, but also in his gestures, the way he behaved, even the smiles and looks he gave her. Maybe that was the reason why she was feeling serener around him.
Kyung Soo quickly confessed that he didn’t know the name of each flower or plant. He told her that his mom tried to teach him several times, but memorizing names, colors, and shapes was not a quality he possessed.
He still knew his way around. He knew more than her, that was clear. There were so many plants that she was seeing for the first time. Flowers that looked like birds, plants that grew with weird shapes, small trees with not more than three fruits hanging from them, and green moss. A lot of green moss.
He showed her the architecture around the greenhouse too. The columns had carvings of plants and flowers, there were two fountains, several benches, sculptures, and the most catching part, a spiral staircase that ended on a small balcony that looked over the greenhouse. When Kyung Soo invited her to climb it, she didn’t even answer him, she just started climbing.
Anna gasped loudly when she reached the top.
The greenhouse’s size could only be appreciated from a high place. You could fully grasp its whole beauty from that small balcony where the two of them could barely fit.
This was the first time she saw something so beautiful. At least made by mankind. She saw breathtaking sunsets back at home, and wonderful, terrifying storms during summer. But this was different. This beauty didn’t make her feel small, it made her feel swaddled. It was a safe glass bubble, where only the two of them could hide now. And now she had a couple of hours to take everything in. Memorize the smells, touch the softness of the leaves and petals and allow herself to be blinded by the colors and lights.
As they walked around, Kyung Soo gave her some space. Staying behind as she smelled the flowers and touched the wet moss. Whenever it got too silent, she looked back to find him there, about five steps away. His hand behind his back, walking slowly, smiling all the time. Whatever she asked, he answered, his voice low and passive. He looked relaxed and happy. It was the first time she was seeing him like this. He wasn’t particularly serious nor grim, but he always looked very put together, very controlled.
He was also more talkative now. Once she looked less absorbed by the greenery of the dome, he began to ask questions, shyly at first. But once she made clear that she wasn’t bothered he went on.
“Does wearing your hair long like that get you in trouble?” He asked, following the length of her hair with his eyes. She pulled it over her shoulders, examining it.
“Not trouble, but sometimes I get weird stares…when I got accepted here, they told me to cut it off, but I searched the regulations and there were no rules against long hair, the queen is the one that started with that short hair crap” Apparently she was too relaxed now. She covered her mouth looking at Kyung Soo, but he was far from annoyed. He was grinning at her, mischievousness in his eyes.
“She is obsessed with hair, I want to shave my head, but she doesn’t allow me, she says that the future king needs to have a full set of hair”
“You want to shave your head?!” She was glad that they were changing the subject and ignoring her comment.
“I shaved it when I was fifteen and I did the service, it was so comfortable, but when I tried to do it again a couple of years ago, she stopped me with guards…it’s all about physical appearance with her” Anna didn’t know how to answer to that, and Kyung Soo wasn’t expecting an answer either.
“By the way, where’s Sehun and Chanyeol? You are missing your shadow, or shadows” Kyung Soo giggled, looking shy. She found herself smiling back whenever he reacted like that. He told her that they had a meeting regarding the safety of the castle.
“Why do you have two guards?” She asked, curious as always. Kyung Soo gave it a little thought, staring at a leaf he had in his hands.
“I thought that it would be easier for both if they had each other to hate me” He was clearly joking, but it still shocked her.
“But apparently we have a good relationship,” He added, looking at her with a loving smile.
“I think they quite like you, your majesty” His smile faded, and he clicked his tongue. She was quick to correct herself.
“I mean Kyung Soo, I think they quite like you… Kyung Soo…it bothers you that much?” He shook his head.
“That much I like it when you call me Kyung Soo” She was again left speechless, feeling shy. She would rather insult his mom than having him saying things that felt way too heavy.
“Sorry for saying that your mother says crap.” She wasn’t being completely honest, but she could do anything to change the subject.
“Anna, don’t worry, don’t apologize….I think we share most opinions” He commented with a smile.
“That’s why you didn’t lose it when I said dictatorship?” That was one of the things that made her feel some trust towards him. She kept wondering why he did it if he was just being nice, or because of something else. And now that he was being honest and open, she imagined it was the right moment to ask.
“Yes, we live under a totalitarian regime, that’s the only truth, but here the truth is against the law” The mood slightly changed. She was overwhelmed by his words. Not even his father, a silent yet strong opponent of the monarchy, ever dared to phrase it in such a rotund way. And with reason. Sometimes it felt as if the walls could hear you. As if there was always an eye looking at everything you were doing. A light terror ran down her back, making her look around, inspecting the greenhouse, searching for that mighty eye that could see everything.
“But you are the prince” She stated more for herself, trying to find some common sense. There was no eye, no worry, no danger. Kyung Soo took a deep breath, completely unaware of the turmoil inside her chest and head. He searched for her eyes and stared at her for a long while. The turmoil intensified, her ribcage suddenly too tight for her heart and lungs. His stare sometimes was so serious, so severe. So dark, enthralling.
“Do you hate me for that?” The twists and turns of their last ten minutes of conversation were making her feel dizzy. The walls around her, building up and falling down over and over again.
“I don’t think I ever hated you, I was just angry at you, at what you represent… but I trust and believe in humanity, I don’t think I’m angry at you anymore, after all, we share most opinions right?” Keeping a wall, or a fake façade around him was getting harder and harder. Even more when his dark stare broke into a childlike smile. Charming and lovely.
“So, you are angry at the monarchy?” He asked more lightheartedly. She nodded slowly.
“Me too, I know that I have enjoyed the privilege of being born as the only son of the king, but in no way I support him, or the Order, but if you are still angry at me I would completely understand it….I’m angry too”
“It’s not your fault” Kyung Soo made an attempt to answer a couple of times, but stopped himself.
“And I’m not angry at you” She followed up “I mean, I don’t wish you to end like the Romanovs” She cursed, noticing how any way of self-preservation ran out of the window when talking with him. Kyung Soo looked at her with wide eyes, and spoke with urgency.
“How do you know about the Romanovs? World history is forbidden, especially the revolutions” He moved closer to her, whispering close to her ear, as if the orchids in front of them could hear with their human-like shapes.
“You know I grew up in the countryside, we are 600 kilometers away from the border…If you go to this specific hill” Anna stopped herself. That was a family secret and her only sense of freedom. But she owed something to him. He brought her there, shared this secret place and the passages with her. But her secret involved her family, so she kept it for herself.
For now.
“I can’t tell you, I know you shared a lot with me, but I can’t tell you that, it involves more people, not just me” He looked disappointed, as he looked away from her. She had to bite her lip to keep her resolve. Kyung Soo took another deep breath and chuckled softly.
“I understand Anna, it’s alright, although I’m very curious, but I hope someday you trust me that much” She wanted to ask why he was so eager to get something from her. Especially her thoughts, stories and opinions. But asking something like that would be asking for more, without giving anything in exchange.
She stood up suddenly, and Kyung Soo followed suit. They still had time, and they could keep talking, but Anna wanted to keep looking around.
Kyung Soo changed the subject to a lighter one, and began talking about the trees they passed by. They stayed like that for a while until her curious self found a way out. Asking what it needed to know.
“Kyung Soo, when you gave me the book with the maps, you told me something that left me hanging. What did you mean when you said that you would feel terribly misunderstood?” His body went rigid, and she couldn’t see his face since he was walking ahead of her. He took some long seconds to turn around and look at her. And yet he didn’t answer immediately.
“There isn't a way to say it that doesn't make me sound like an idiot” He answered with hesitation. Although that was hardly an answer.
“What do you mean?” She walked closer, holding her hands behind her back. He took a step to the side and avoided her stare again, fiddling with the small, white flowers in front of him.
“I wish you could find out so I didn’t have to say it, I'm sure you could, you are that capable” He insisted on saying sentences that weren't answers, but riddles for her numb brain. He took a quick look at her and chuckled.
“Are you entertained?” She asked defensively. He chuckled again and finally left those flowers alone, standing in front of her.
“I'm not entertained, I'm charmed” Anna clicked her tongue, looking away annoyed. Kyung Soo reached for her arm, but as soon as he touched her, he took his hand away, apologizing.
“I’m not even sure of what I meant, but I also have some things that I need to keep for myself for now, since more people are involved” She couldn’t remain annoyed when he was finally clearing some things out. Although he didn’t answer, she could understand his reasons.
After all, his reasons were just like hers.
The silence that followed allowed her to hear the muted sound of the sirens announcing that the curfew was close. She checked her clock, and she only had fifteen minutes to go back to the dorms. An impossible task considering the distances. Kyung Soo was quick to give her some calm.
“Don’t worry, we are going to go back to the geography room, I’m going to go look for Chanyeol or Sehun and they are going to walk you to the dorms, everything is going to be alright, just tell the guards that you lose the sense of time while studying, although I doubt the will ask something if you arrive with Sehun or Chanyeol, they outrank them after all” The confidence he showed made her feel less worry.
She was glad she had such figures of power on her side.
They walked back to the passage, and Anna kept looking back, just in case this was the first and last time she visited such a beautiful place. Although Kyung Soo promised another visit during the summer.
When Kyung Soo opened the second door to the passage, they were greeted by the pitch darkness. She had completely forgotten about it. Kyung Soo cleaned his throat and walked inside before her. His body was almost consumed by the darkness. He reached for her, offering his hand.
Anna felt a rush of heat run over her and after drying the sweat from her palms, she held his helping hand, tightening her grip once she walked inside.
The darkness surrounded them, but the fear she felt before could not reach her this time.

Je Veux Être ta Lumière
Genre: Idol!Johnny, Idol!FemReader
Member: NCT Johnny x Female Reader
Word Count: 2.2k
Summary: In which after your first encounter at an award show, Johnny starts to take an interest in you.
A/N: This is my first fan fiction/AU (?) ever, so i hope you do enjoy it. Also, this was originally supposed to be a Johnny x OC but i decided to change it to a Johnny x Reader.
“...And I promise that we will work harder from now, to make our fans extra proud of us.” She bowed down at 90 degrees as finished the speech, thanking the audience quietly and smiling brightly as they clapped and cheered out for her. The award grasped tightly in another one of your member's hand, the name still standing out brightly, ‘Artist Of The Year’.
You stood still and you held your sobbing group member in your arms as another member took to the mic to talk about your hardships since the beginning and how thankful you all were to all your fans and the people that have supported you since the start - you were slightly shocked she even thanked the haters for helping you get to where you are.
You smiled out into the crown, your eyes a little glossy as you refused to cry in front of masses of people staring at you - you were known for that, not crying. You were the emotionless, mysterious member of the group; some people even made jokes that you cried ugly or that you were part of the mafia, which was why so little was known about you. All you did was laugh it off.
Now as you stood on stage, a sobbing 22-year-old in your arms, having won an award many idols can just dream of, you didn’t know if you had the willpower to not cry.
You watched as your members finished giving their speeches and bowed at the crowd as they clapped. You gently pushed her away from you and wiped her tears away. “Jiyoon bro,” you grinned at her, “we just won an award, no more crying, yeah?”
She nodded, sniffling a little, and directed a small smile towards you, which you returned. You grabbed her hand and faced the audience who had watched the whole ‘escapade’ go down and aimed a forced smile at them, your own eyes still slightly blurry with the tears you refused to spill. You looked up and blinked a few times continuously, getting rid of the tears.
You bowed down at the crowd with your members, still holding Jiyoon’s hand as tightly as you could, you were sure you were going to get a little telling off as soon as you sat down in your seats away from the prying eyes of the other idols (most of them anyway).
You looked back up as your group started walking off the stage, still holding Jiyoon’s hand, staring down at your feet intently as you walked, afraid that you’d trip and make a laughing stock of yourself in these 6-inch heels that you were forced to wear - you could barely walk in them for god's sake.
“I can’t believe you actually listened to her and wore those hideous heels,” Jiyoon grimaced, referencing your horrible stylist, in a low voice as you both walked back to your seats.
“I really had no choice, it was either put them on myself or have them forced on me by some 40-year-old woman,” you replied, “should have seen the glare she gave me when I told her I wasn’t the best at walking in heels, she was about to bury me six feet under, alive at that too,” you added, placing the blanket you had been given over both your laps as soon as you sat down, keeping your eyes on the stage in front of you, trying to give your best reactions to the group performing on stage.
Jiyoon scooted closer to you, making sure the blanket covered both of your legs fully before speaking again, already giggling at what she was about to say. “You should wear heels more often, you're finally tall. It looks good on you my friend.” Giving you an exaggerated smile and a pat on the back, she returned her attention to the stage.
You gave her a playful glare, “Can’t believe we’re friends,” you mumbled, shaking your head at her antics, the grin on her face growing wider indicating that she had heard you,
Both of you immersed yourself with the performance that was going on stage, your group member, Ava, and you coincidentally slapping Jiyoon on her thighs when KARD’s BM ripped his shirt off in the middle of his collaboration stage, Monsta X’s Shownu and Exo’s Kai and Chanyeol following shortly after. You were sure your reaction would be used for one of those videos you always saw going around, the title of the video already floating around in your mind, ‘Enigma’s Y/N Loves Those Abs?!’ you giggled lightly at that. Your fandom had an unusual way of naming videos, that, you could agree with any day.
A nudge in your side brought you back to reality as Jiyoon pointed at the big monitor by the stage, which was playing a replay of Ava and your reaction to the stage, causing you to blush slightly. Embarrassed, you lifted the blanket on your lap and held it in front of your face with one hand, fanning your self with the other, you were sure your face had gone beet red.
You heard laughing and slowly lowed the blanket placing it back on your lap as you leaned forward, glaring playfully at your members.
“Oh shut up, don’t tell me you didn't enjoy it either,” you paused and mouthed,” They were HOT,” you fanned yourself for extra measure (and to also make sure they understood what you were saying). Your members rolled their eyes, shaking their head at your antics. You shook your head back at them, moving to sit back in your seat comfortably, leaning back and watching the performances, dancing the choreography in the limited space you had or just mouthing the lyrics and clapping your hands to the beat when the cameras came around to record your reactions.
Some time had passed, more awards were given out and more performances had taken place and you and your group members were getting more tired and bored. They even showed your leader, Soyeon, yawning during the performance of a popular group; that was something your group and the people sitting around you had a good giggle about as your leader shied away from in embarrassment.
You wished something exciting would happen soon, or you were going to end up falling asleep from boredom. You never did like attending award shows, this was the first time in 4 years you had done so - back then your fans argued that they (award shows) were always doing you wrong, as during the voting for the awards you were leading in the first place, but those awards were given to other people. You would be lying if you said you weren't even a tiny bit upset, but you couldn't blame the groups.
Looking down at the mini screen placed on your table, you noticed the time and cheered quietly, nudging Jiyoon who in return nudged Ava, both turning to look at you. You pointed towards the time on the screen and they both widened their eyes.
“Guys, the break starts in a few.” you cheered.
“The break was supposed to start half an hour ago,” someone from behind you spoke up. The three of you turned around and simultaneously bowed your head at the stranger, who continued to speak, “The time on the monitor is 30 minutes behind, at this rate no one knows when they're going to announce the break.”
Confusion struck you and you furrowed your brows at the stranger.
“Sorry?”
He took out his phone and turned it on, holding it out to you. You were sure he intended to show you the time, which was indeed half an hour ahead, but you couldn't help noticing his lock screen - the literal back of an iPhone - which caused you to burst out in a giggle but you quickly covered it with a cough, which quickly turned into a fit. Ava and Jiyoon leaned over to have a look at what had caused to go into a coughing fit but he had taken the phone away and slid it into his blazer pocket before they could see.
You placed your hand on your chest, patting harshly to calm yourself. You bowed your head at the male sitting behind you before turning to face your group mates.
“He’s right. They moved the clocks back,” you said, defeated, slumping into the sofa. Jiyoon patted your back in sympathy. “Now we’ll never get a break, and I’ll be bored for the rest of eternity,” you called out dramatically.
You turned around again, hoping to talk a little more to the male behind you and maybe get to know his name, but he wasn't there; it was someone else. Before you were able to question the whereabouts of the stranger sitting there before, the one present spoke up.
“Names Mark,” he said suddenly in English, putting his hand out. You clasped his hand in both of your giving it a firm shake before letting go and aiming a warm smile at him.
“I’m Y/N,” you responded.
“Yo, you know English?” he questioned you, sounding a little bit too excited, placing his hand in front of his mouth as he leaned back, in what you assumed was shock.
“Yeah,” you nodded your head at him, hoping to turn around and end the conversation as quickly as possible.
“Where are you from,” he questioned, once again before you could fully turn around, “America? Australia? Canada?” He added, continuing to list of different English speaking countries.
“The UK,” you answered him briefly, cutting his rambling off in the process.
His lips formed an ‘O’ as he nodded his head slowly.
“But where in the UK?”
“England”
“Ohhhhh, I thought I sensed a British accent.”
You raised your eyebrow at him or at least tried to. He laughed when he noticed your facial expression.
“Hey, I’d be raising my eyebrow at you if I could Mark.” You said, squinting your eyes at him, in return he just laughed. You smiled at him, finding his laugh to be a little contagious.
You turned around, fully, placing your right leg under your left thigh, trying to get comfortable before realising you were very much still at an award show and then resorting to placing your legs at an angle as you continued to talk to Mark.
“Where are you from?” You questioned him.
“Canada.”
He was quick to reply and you were sure he had been waiting for you to ask him that question as soon as you had started talking to him. You simply smiled at the male, nodding your head again, wondering why it hadn't fallen off with all the nodding you were doing.
“If I'm not being rude, may I ask what group you're from?” You spoke., studying his features as he stared at you, that stupid smile glued to his face.
he nodded his head, before holding his hand out again. You held it, shaking it slowly as he talked.
“Hi, I’m NCT’s Mark,” he responded, holding your hand firmly, still shaking it.
You nodded again, “I’m-”
“Your Enigma’s Y/N,” he cut you off, “I know what group you're from.”
You bowed your head, giving him a bright smile and letting go of his hand.
“So you know my group but not my name and where I'm from?” You question him playfully.
He raised his hands in mock surrender and opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by an approaching figure.
“Mark, move over.”
You looked over at the person who had just approached and realised it was the guy from earlier (the one who had ruined your mood by telling you that there probably wasn't going to be a break throughout the award show anytime soon). You gave him a small and quick bow hoping to turn around before Mark started speaking but of course, you were hit with bad luck.
You stared at Mark as he moved over, giving the guy some room to sit back down before talking again.
“Johnny Hyung, this is Y/N,” he continued to speak in English, to which Johnny raised an eyebrow before nodding slowly. He stared at you for a short while and there was no way you were looking away first so you stared back, sending a small, awkward smile his way, to reduce the awkwardness between the two of you.
“I’m Johnny,” he spoke out suddenly. in an American accent, startling you. You jumped a little as Mark started laughing, throwing his body everywhere and you suddenly felt sorry for the boy sitting next to him, who suddenly had to hold his weight as he was cracking himself up.
“Hyung...Suddenly..” he started before losing it, leaning against the other guy as he continued laughing,” I’m Johnny,” he said once he’d calmed down a little, shrugging his shoulders and pushing his head forward.
You smiled at his antics before shaking your head and smiling.
A light continuous tapping caused you to turn your head, only to come face to face with your leader who looked at you questioningly. You gave her a small smile and looked around confused as you noticed that many people were starting to stand up.
“It’s the break,” Soyeon said, answering your unasked question, “It’ll only last for around 30 minutes, I think, so if you want something time to get it now.”
Your lips formed an ‘O’ shaped as you nodded your head slowly.
“Can we get something to eat?” You asked her, as your stomach let out a small growl. It was speaking to you, begging for food, and you couldn't deprive it of the one thing it had only, always wanted.
Soyeon nodded before taking your hand in hers and pulling you up.
You glanced at the two boys, giving a quick nod of the head and smiling at them, even waving at them as you walked off with your leader, in the quest to get some food - in those godforsaken heels of yours.

——————————————————————————
Eunyeong watched nervously as Kyungsoo examined her findings. He was silent and the only expression on his face was his usual stoic expression. After a few moments passed, the man took a step forward and followed the footsteps into the woods. Eunyeong, unaware of what to do, followed after him. They walked in complete silence for a few minutes until the man in front of her came to a stop. Before she could ask what happened, she spotted the glass Chanyeol had been drinking from the night before on the ground. It was shattered into pieces.
"No," she whispered as she rushed over to the remains of the glass. Kyungsoo watched closely as she gently picked up a piece of the glass, as if afraid to break it even further.
"You know what this means?" He asked after a moment. The woman remained silent, not wanting to voice her thoughts. The truth was they both knew what it meant. The general had been abducted and this was his way of letting them know.
"We should gather up some men and go after him," the woman finally spoke. Her voice was low and laced with a wild mixture of anger and concern. She rose back to her full height and turned to look at the man behind her. For the first time since she had known him there was a troubled expression on his face.
"I can't permit that," he finally revealed. The female soldier's lips parted in surprise. Can't permit that?
"Why?" She couldn't find anything other than this to say.
"It's too dangerous," the man explained. "I can't afford to lose men after yesterday."
"Then I'll go," the woman huffed in annoyance. The man scowled at her.
"You won't."
"I will."
"I won't permit that."
"I don't care."
"You'll be punished if you make it back."
"Punish me then."
There was a moment of silence. Tension hung thickly in the air, like fog during a rainy morning. When Kyungsoo remained unmoving, the woman pushed past him and made her way back to camp. She ignored the stares of her fellow soldiers when she emerged from her tent with a bag of supplies hanging off of her shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Baekhyun asked her, quickly coming to her side.
"I'm going to rescue the general," she stated in a calm voice. Her clenched jaw revealed she was anything but calm. The man's eyes widened when he realized the woman was being completely serious.
"Rescue the General?" He asked in disbelief. "What are you talking about?"
The woman knew it was wrong to do to him, but she simply ignored him and began making her way back down the river. The man panicked for a moment. Was he supposed to follow after her or report this to his officials? As he watched her figure disappear into the woods, he made the quick decision to throw together a supply bag of his own and dashed after her.
Just as Eunyeong reach the other side of the woods, she saw Kyungsoo standing by the water with his hands behind his back. There was no way he didn't know she was there after the commotion she had made while emerging from the trees. Still, he didn't look back at her. She was confused. Shouldn't he be trying to stop her after he had just threatened to punish her.
"What are you doing?" She asked in confusion when Baekhyun ran up behind her. A sheepish grin formed on his face as he looked down at her.
"Rescue team!" He exclaimed with excitement. Perhaps he was a little too loud because Kyungsoo turned around to look at the pair a few seconds later. When Baekhyun realized the man was there, the grin on his face fell. Eunyeong turned quickly to see what had wiped away his smile.
"Don't get yourself killed," Kyungsoo told the woman as his eyes locked with hers.
"I promise you that if anyone gets to kill me, it'll be you," she replied after a few seconds. The corner of the man's lips curled just slightly at her words. The woman didn't waste another moment before she started towards the area the general had been taken in. Baekhyun followed closely behind her.
The two of them were quiet as they walked through the forest. It was a bit uncharacteristic of Baekhyun to be so silent, but it was evidence to Eunyeong that he was capable of being serious when he needed to be. This made her feel a little more confident in their mission.
They traveled for what seemed like hours before they began to hear voices. Both of the soldiers grew stiff with tension at the sound. They crouched behind trees as they tried to slowly advance on the area. Eventually they came to a spot where they were able to make out the distant faces of their enemies. They could see the makeshift campsite. It was smaller than their group's, but still big enough that it made the two of them feel hesitant about what they were doing. Baekhyun's eyes widened when they spotted the General. The man was tied up on a post in the center of the camp. His head hung low. Sweat glistened on his skin. Dried blood stained his face.
Baekhyun looked over at Eunyeong, who was pressed against a tree across from him. He went to tell her that he found the general, but by the expression on her face it was obvious there was no need. Now the question wasn't where is the general anymore. Instead, the question was how were they going to get to the general.
The pair lowered themselves to the ground in a rush when they heard approaching footsteps. Their eyes locked and a silent whisper of consolation was shared between them. Their heartbeats raced madly in their chests. Were they going to be caught already?
"Man I can't even take a piss without you following me," a man's voice filled the air.
"I have to piss too," another responded to the first.
Eunyeong spotted a stone on the ground in front of her as the men spoke. An idea popped up in her mind as she stared at the rounded object. Slowly, her hand crept forward her fingers curled around the cool stone. As quietly as she could, she sat up and twisted her torso slightly so that she could toss the stone in a direction away from them. The sound the stone made as it landed caught the attention of several of the enemies.
"What's was that?"
"Is someone here?"
"Let's go check it out."
The two men who had been relieving their bladders didn't seem to care about the fuss behind them. They continued to bicker among one another about not having enough privacy. Eunyeong felt her stomach begin to do flips. If they were caught they would be murdered, she knew that. As she looked over at her fellow soldier, she knew she couldn't risk his life by charging in and combatting the enemies head on. No, this time she would have to come up with a new strategy.
When the men finally walked away, the woman quickly moved until she was pressed up against Baekhyun's tree. He watched her curiously as she began to fiddle with her uniform.
"I need you to trust me," she told in a rushed whisper.
"Of course," he replied as if it were nothing.
"Then leave the hard part to me. I'm going to distract the men. You get the general and run," she told him quietly. "We'll figure out the rest as we go."
"I can't let you do that," the man protested, his voice a bit too loud for the woman's liking. She covered his mouth quickly, her eyes looking around in a panic. When she felt it was safe, she removed her hand from his mouth.
"Don't worry," she assured the man. "If I don't die here today then I'll die soon after we return."
He wanted to ask what she meant, but his voice was stolen away when the woman removed the top of her uniform. All this time he had thought his closest friend was a man, but now a woman sat before him. He looked away when she reach down the top of undergarments and began to undo her breast bindings. It had been a while since she had been able to be so free.
"Do you have no shame?" The man finally spoke. His round cheeks were colored a bright shade of pink and his voice held a tone of embarrassment. It made the woman blush herself and she whispered a soft apology. When she finished removing her uniform, she tied everything up in her bag and passed it to Baekhyun.
"I'll go in from the other side and lead them out. There's only a few men here, so we should be able to get them all away from here," she began sharing her plan. Her hands pulled at the dirt beneath them and rubbed it along her skin as she spoke. When she was satisfied with how filthy she appeared, she let down her hand and ruffled it with her hands.
"Do you think this will work?" Baekhyun asked.
"It'll have to," was her answer. Without another word, she pushed herself up from the ground and began to creep through the woods barefoot. Baekhyun watched as she went with his lips parted. Perhaps it was the adrenaline he felt or perhaps he was just too confused, but he was not able to process what had just happened. Was this all a weird dream?
When Eunyeong made it to the other side of the camp, she leaned against a tree for a second and took a deep breath. She knew what she was about to do would change her fate no matter what. If she didn't die by the hands of her enemies, she risked being killed by her own people. Still, she couldn't allow the general to die. So, she pushed herself off of the tree and began running into the camp. She yelled wildly as she ran, pleading for the men to help her. It felt nice to be able to use her voice without having to alter it for once. The sudden appearance of a woman screaming at the top of her lungs garnered the attention of the entire camp. Just to make sure she kept their attention, she tried her best to appear as if she were sobbing hysterically.
"What's wrong?" A man asked her, bringing her to a stop. She clasped her hands together and bowed her head as she pleaded for him to help her.
"A group of soldiers abducted me and my sister! Please help me save her! I'm begging you!" She cried out.
The men in the camp shared a look before they hesitantly began to gather their weapons and prepare to follow the woman out of camp. When she was confident that everyone was coming with her, she turned and lead them away from the camp. There must have been around 20 men in total following behind her. Being so exposed made her feel vulnerable and she knew one wrong move would be critical. So, she kept up her act as much as she could.
"What direction are they in?" The men asked her. She lifted a shaky hand and pointed in a random direction.
“Stay here. We'll go find your sister," they told her. She nodded, taking the opportunity to be alone right away.
"I'll stay and keep her safe," one of the other men suggested.
"Me too!" Another quickly offered. The group shared a look.
"Okay, but only you two," they agreed. "We'll be back fast."
Eunyeong felt her heart begin to pound against her ribs. Being alone with two men spelled trouble. She knew they didn't care about her safety. They were only interested in keeping an eye on her undergarments. It became obvious when the other soldiers left and the two men instantly stepped closer to her. She felt the air in her lungs slowly deplete. How was she going to get out of this one?
"Do you feel safe with us here?" One of the men questioned with a small smile on his face. It seemed friendly enough, but she didn't like the look in his eyes. Still, she gave a pitiful nod and added a small sniffle to seal the deal.
"You poor thing," the other cooed. "We won't let anything happen to you."
Slowly, he reach out and allowed his hand to land on her arm. She tensed up as the man's hand rubbed down her arm.
"You don't care if we play with you a little though, do you?" The other asked. The men shared a laugh. Eunyeong knew she had limited options. She had to think quickly. So, she reach forward and wrapped herself around one of the men. This made him laugh more. While he enjoyed himself, she slipped his dagger from his waist and quickly struck his lower back with it. She removed it once before she repeated the action. The man gasped in pain as he stumbled back from the woman.
"What did you do?" The other man asked quickly, panic in his tone. Without answering, she took off running back towards camp. The man followed after her, thankfully without calling out for his other soldiers to help him. The woman felt as if she were going to throw up as she ran through the woods. Her body shook so terribly that she ended up tripping at one point. The man advanced on her, reaching out and grabbing her hair harshly. She took the dagger in her hand and shoved it through his kneecap with a low grunt. The man screamed out in pain, meaning she had no time to waste. If the others heard the man they'd return in no time. She shoved herself up from the ground and began to run again, leaving the man and the dagger behind.
When she made it back to camp Baekhyun and the General were no where to be found. She froze for a moment, terrified that they had been caught. Even though she was afraid, she knew she couldn't wait to see what would happen next. So, she took off in the direction that they had come from originally. Her feet carried her through the forest clumsily. Branches scratched at her skin, but she ignored the slight burning sensation they caused and focused on getting as far away from the camp as she could.
Eventually she spotted them. She was relieved to see that the general could still walk on his own. Relief flooded her chest. They froze at the sound of her footsteps and turned to look and see who had been approaching them. A happy grin formed on her face when she met their eyes.
"Don't stop!" She told them, gesturing for them to turn and continue on as she grew closer.
"Yah," Baekhyun started. "You're insane."
"Why is she following us?" The general asked after about half an hour of walking. His voice was low and weak sounding.
"Have you given him something to drink?" Eunyeong ignored his question. Baekhyun shook his head and handed her one of the bags. She dug through it until her hand wrapped around a flask. She pulled it out and tapped it against the general's arm. He took it, eyeing her with suspicion as he did so.
"Go on," she insisted when he didn't lift it to his lips. "I didn't come save you just to poison you right after."
"Save me?" He asked incredulously.
"Correction, we didn't come save you just to poison you after," Baekhyun added.
"Are we almost there?" The woman questioned, ignoring them both.
"Yes, we should be safe now," Baekhyun told her.
"Then give me a moment," she replied before she came to a halt. The men stopped when they realized she wasn't walking still and turned just after she finished placing her bindings around her breasts.
"You really have no shame," Baekhyun reminded her as his face grew flushed again. She didn't respond to him as she finished placing the rest of her uniform on. She tied her hair up before she lifted her bag up from the ground and swung it back over her shoulder. Her entire body ached from the mission she had just gone on. There was nothing that she wanted more than to sleep.
"You-" the general gasped as he pointed at her in disbelief. She felt her heart began to race yet again. Couldn't everyone just let her relax for the day?
"Well, I guess that secret is out now isn't it?" She replied as if unbothered. Inside she was panicking. Who knew how the man would react? Would her family have to pay for her actions now?
The general took a step forward with a glare on his face and Baekhyun quickly stepped in front of the man to stop him from advancing any further.
"How can you joke about this like you haven't committed a serious crime?" The general asked. His nostrils were wide as he looked at the woman. He thought about how his father would react in this situation. Would the older man kill her on the spot or let the officials above him deal with her?
"If you want to punish me then go ahead," she responded in a hard voice. "It's not like I wanted this. It was either me or my father, who wouldn't last a week in these conditions. If me dying means my family surviving, then I'll proudly welcome death."
The man's eyes were lit up with fury, but instead of responding he turned and walked away. Baekhyun sent the woman a sympathetic expression before he turned and followed after the man. Eunyeong swallowed her nerves before she, too, followed behind them.
When the three made it back to camp, the sun was already beginning to descend from its place high in the sky. A small crowd of men surrounded them as they walked through the camp. They cheered and chanted the general's name with excitement. The man looked surprised to see such a warm welcoming. He was sure everyone would have been glad he was gone after he had failed to save his men. A smile stretched across his face as he watched the men cheer for him.
Eunyeong halted in her steps when she saw Kyungsoo. The man looked at her with wide eyes, taking in every detail of her as if she were a ghost. She didn't miss the way his eyes lingered on the blood that stained her hands or the way they followed them when she tried to hide them subtly behind her back. She drew in a deep breath when the man began approaching her. The cheers quietened down as everyone turned to look at the pair.
"Do you have anything to say for yourself?" Was the first thing the man said. Eunyeong considered her options. At this point she felt as if she were so deep in a lie that she had nothing to lose. So, she let her bag drop down onto the ground by her feet and lifted her arms up in surrender.
"A promise is a promise," she spoke softly. "I'm all yours sir."
The general choked on air at the woman's words. He was infuriated, sure, but this behavior was too much for him to just ignore. He stepped between the two, looking at them both with an expression of concern.
"What's going on?" He questioned.
"He's going to kill me."
"I'm going to kill him."
"Woah!" Chanyeol breathed out in surprise. Her punishment had already been decided before he had even returned? Did Kyungsoo know that she was a woman this whole time? Was his second hand in command hiding something like that from him?
"Let me deal with he- him! Let me deal with him!" Chanyeol exclaimed as he looked down at Kyungsoo.
"Fine," the man stated. "This time I'll let it slide. The next time I give you an order, you better listen to me."
"We'll see. It paid off this time didn't it?" The woman retorted. Kyungsoo said nothing in response. Instead, he called out to one of her fellow soldiers and asked them to look over Chanyeol for any injuries.

[EXO Imprinted] Sehun: Alpha Male
Anonymous asked: I request sehun imprinted the way you wanna do it :)
Characters: Sehun x female reader (featuring bts and ocs)
Genre/warnings: werewolf au, fluff, angst, very slight crack, guns, injuries
Word count: 6,265
Summary: The only person Sehun will ever submit to is his alpha, and even then, he gives Junmyeon a hard time. So when his mate ends up being the alpha of another pack, he wants to prove that he can be independent by going up against the leader of the werewolf hunters that you and your pack are running away from.
a/n: things in bold are in English (and I know there are gonna be a lot of ocs mentioned but you don’t need to specifically remember them or anything. as long as u know they in reader’s pack, ur good). This part is kind of all over the place though, especially the second half. And it wasn’t proof read at all (like most things I write) so it’s an even bigger mess lmao.
Previous | Next | Imprinted Masterlist
You wouldn’t have done this if you weren’t desperate. As a female alpha, you didn’t want to ask help from others, because that’s exactly what the males would expect from a girl. Any other werewolves you’d happen to come across never treated you with respect despite the fact that a female alpha was all but completely unheard of. You were smaller -- even if in your human form you were around 5′9, your wolf form was definitely smaller than the rest of your pack’s -- not as strong, and well, you were a girl. So you felt like you had something to prove, and you wanted to do things either with the help of your pack, or with no help at all.
Your pack was nine strong, counting yourself. Olan, Minjoon, Airou, Ataru, Hanjin, Samuri, Jaejin, and Chansol respected you and protected you as their alpha. They never questioned you or your gender, even when you had first found them. Sure, they were surprised at first, but who wouldn’t be meeting a female alpha when everyone thought those were just tall tales passed down by other werewolves? Even Olan, who was older than you, respected you as if you were his elder.
However, with Olan being the oldest in the pack, he was also kind of the wisest, which was partly why he was your right-hand man. He was this big Thai dude -- hence, his name being Olan, which he explained meant ‘great or large’ in Thai -- that honestly had kind of found you when you came to Korean. He was already a werewolf, and you had yet to shift. Running into him seemed to set off some alpha instinct that was deep down inside you, and you shifted right in front of him.
But with him being the wisest meant that he was the one to tell you that he thought your current idea was the dumbest thing you could do.
“Do you really think a random pack of werewolves will want to help us?” he questioned in a harsh, low tone even though nobody else could understand him other than you. “We’re nobodies who don’t even live around here.”
“Would you rather take on a group of werewolf hunters then?” you snapped as you walked down the street to the address you were given by a helpful stranger. “Look, Olan, there’s power in numbers. Currently, we only have one more than these hunters, and that means we’re still easy prey. We need to outnumber them, and even if they say no, we have a better chance getting out alive talking to a pack of werewolves than we do going up against silver bullets.”
“I’d rather take my chances with a bullet than 9 werewolves...” he grumbled.
You stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, making your entire pack halt as they watched the argument between you and Olan. They weren’t sure what it was even about -- the Japanese brothers picked up only a few words, but not nearly enough to figure out what you were mad about -- but just your tone had them shrinking back and backing down.
“My mind’s already made up, and we’re already almost there, so you can either shut up or go back home and hope you don’t get killed,” you growled, your eyes starting to spot red through your brown contacts. “End. Of. Discussion.”
Olan gave a small nod, having no choice but to obey his alpha, “Right. Sorry, _____...”
You heard Chansol whisper, “what was that about,” but you kept walking instead of addressing it. You were almost at the address anyway, so there was no point in talking about Olan’s objections.
After a few more minutes of walking in silence other than the members of your pack talking quietly to each other, you arrived at the address you were given. You looked up at the large house, frowning slightly. You figured anybody home would’ve sensed other werewolves nearby and would’ve been prepared for this. Then again, it was kind of late at night so maybe they were asleep or too close to it to realize.
You stepped up to the door and knocked. The rest of your pack gathered somewhat farther behind you, though Olan was right behind you in case anything happened as soon as the door opened.
The person that answered the door was a man -- as you expected -- with a round face, full heart-shaped lips, and short dark hair. You knew he just sensed the alpha all over you from the quirk in his brow, but he didn’t question it.
“Can I help you?” he wondered.
“Actually," you began, “that’s exactly what we’re hoping for.”
-
Sehun hated being the ‘pup’ as his pack loved to call him. He didn’t like the teasing -- the babying was alright, but he wouldn’t actually tell them that -- and he didn’t like that he had to take orders not only from his alphas, but from the rest of the pack because he was the youngest.
Currently, he was upstairs in his room trying to get homework done so he could be away from the pack. They’d been teasing him all night because of some comment Baekhyun’s mate has said toward him. It got the rest of them riled up to start with the ragging.
There was a group of hunters that apparently were going around. The pack had heard word they’d shot a werewolf a few towns over, so they weren’t necessarily in any danger. But still, Junmyeon was taking precautions, especially since they had mates in the house.
“Sehun, get home before dark.”
“Sehun, don’t leave the house alone.”
What was he, a child? He was still a college student which meant he was an adult. They couldn’t boss him around like that.
Except they could. They were werewolves and his instincts told him to listen.
At the moment, his instincts were telling him somebody new was in the house. He could hear it and smell it. But he did smell something faintly sweet, like the best scent he’d ever smelled. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he also wasn’t inclined to go investigate. He was sure he’d just be met with Junmyeon telling him to finish his homework or something. So he put in his headphones instead and went back to work.
Only a few minutes later, his door was opened by Jongin. The second youngest looked kind of excited but Sehun couldn’t gather why.
“Junmyeon wants all of us downstairs,” he reported.
Sehun groaned but took his headphones out and got up from his desk. Of course, the one time he figures he should stay upstairs, he gets the opposite.
Coming down the stairs, the sweet smell was growing stronger. Still, Sehun wasn’t sure what it was. It wasn’t anything he’d smelled before, but he was pretty sure it wasn’t what Minseok and Baekhyun had told them about from when they first met their--
Sehun rounded the corner, eyes landing on a tall girl standing with her back to him. Everything froze as he just stared, unable to peel his eyes away.
But then you turned around, sensing that same strange presence behind you. Your golden eyes zeroed in on this tall wolf in black jeans and a blue button-up with sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He was staring at you like he was seeing the world for the first time, and you were sure you were giving him the same look.
You had imprinted on each other, and the whole room was full of werewolves who knew exactly what was happening, smirks on their faces.
Sehun wasn’t sure what to do next. Did he say hello? Introduce himself? Say something smooth like compliment your appearance?
Instead, what came out of his mouth was a question.
“S-so...wha-what do you want?”
‘So smooth, Sehun. So very smooth.’
You let out a laugh that seemed to break the tension in the room, shaking your head.
“They’re here for our help, lover boy,” Minseok told him with a teasing tone. “Sit down.”
Sehun frowned at being told what to do again, but he took a seat on the couch by Chanyeol, looking across the room where the pack you belonged to continued to stand before his pack. You and who he assumed was your alpha -- some tall guy who definitely looked like he could take on like, three werewolves at once in his human form -- stood in front of the rest of your pack.
“Should we have the girls down here for this?” Yixing wondered, recalling how Junmyeon had Minseok bring them upstairs when he sensed that strange wolves had shown up at their doorstep.
The alpha just shook his head, “The less they have to worry about, the better. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.”
Kyungsoo looked back at the new pack, “Now that everybody’s here, you should explain what happened again.”
To Sehun’s surprise, instead of the alpha speaking, you did.
“The werewolf hunters have been after us since we’re a smaller pack. They already cornered Ataru, and he was lucky only two of them were there. He barely escaped before he was seriously injured. We know they’ve been following us and keeping tabs, so we made sure the coast was clear before we came here.”
That explained why it was so late at night, Sehun figured.
“But we don’t have any way to defend ourselves,” you continued. “We have nine, and while they have eight, those numbers are still too close for comfort. We’re still pretty easy targets and they know that. They’re going to come after us until they finally get us and kill all of us. We need help to scare them away at least.”
“We don’t expect you to kill any of them for us or anything,” the man clarified.
“So you’re leading them to us?” Baekhyun asked.
“No,” you quickly told him, “we made sure they weren’t watching us when we left.”
“We did surveillance!” the two boys that looked virtually identical grinned at the same time.
Most of Junmyeon’s pack eyed them, giving them odd looks before looking back to you and Olan.
“If we do help,” Junmyeon began, making sure to put plenty of emphasis on the first word, “we’ll need time to come up with a plan.”
“Well, we have limited time,” Olan spoke up beside you. “We don’t know when they’ll come after us again. We just recently got a new member of our pack, and we know they’ll more than likely target him since he’s still young.”
You already knew Chansol was frowning somewhere behind you. He hated feeling like he was being babied or spoken of like he was a baby.
“Why don’t we just go confront them?” Sehun suggested, shrugging like the idea of going up against eight werewolf hunters was nothing. “Together, there’s way more of us than them.”
His pack exploded with comments of how crazy that idea was and how they would just get injured or worse. They needed a plan, and Sehun must’ve been dumb to think they could just go without a plan of attack. But Junmyeon hushed them before speaking up himself.
“We can’t just go in there and start a war we’re unprepared for,” the alpha explained. “Even if we only have a limited amount of time, we need to think of a plan. For now..._____, why don’t you and your pack stay here? It isn’t safe for all of you to go home this late at night, and we can start planning first thing in the morning.”
“Hyung, can we fit everybody...?” Jongdae wondered.
“If we put multiple people in a room, then yes,” Junmyeon answered in a tone that said his decision was final. “Plus, we have the living room.”
“I already know who Sehunnie’s rooming with,” Baekhyun giggled.
Your eyes met Sehun’s again, only to see his cheeks were a soft shade of pink. You smiled to yourself, deciding your mate was absolutely adorable.
-
“So...what’s your name?” Sehun asked when it was just the two of you in his bedroom.
While he seemed nervous, you weren’t that nervous about it. He could also tell you weren’t nervous as you walked around his room, slowly taking everything in and gathering as much information about your mate as you could. He just watched you from his desk chair.
“_____; _____ _____,” you told him, your golden eyes not leaving the few framed pictures he had on a shelf bolted to his wall. “What about you? Tell me about yourself?”
“Aren’t you gathering data on me right now? You look like your scanning my walls like a computer,” he chuckled.
You smirked, turning to face him, “That’s what I look like?”
“A little,” he shrugged. “Well, my name’s Oh Sehun, I’m 25, and I’m the youngest in my pack.”
“Aw,” you cooed, “you’re the puppy!”
He automatically began to sulk, “Don’t you start, too.”
You laughed at your mate, going to sit on his bed, “If it helps, about half my pack is younger than you.”
Sehun smirked, “Does that include you?”
Finally, he wouldn’t have to be bossed around by somebody. Not that he would use the opportunity to boss you around, but he definitely was happy you couldn’t do it to him.
But your words had the smirk falling right off his face.
“But I’m the alpha of my pack.”
Alpha? A female alpha? Those existed? Not that there was a problem with it, he was just...well, surprised. He didn’t realize that the aura of authority he was catching onto was coming from you and not the large werewolf beside you.
He let out a groan, letting his head fall back, realizing this meant you could, in fact, boss him around as much as you wanted. And the kicker was that he would have to listen. You were a higher rank than him. Much higher.
From a few of the rooms down the hall, you could hear loud laughter. Even downstairs, some members of his pack were snorting in amusement.
Baekhyun’s voice was loud and clear as he giggled, “Sehun’s still the baby!”
-
Meeting your mate wasn’t like starting a new relationship. You mostly skipped all the awkwardness and all the shyness of a new relationship. Both of you were werewolves, so you already felt that love and comfortableness around each other. So sleeping in Sehun’s bed with him was like sleeping beside somebody you’d been dating for a year already. It felt normal and comfortable and just nice.
But living with Sehun’s pack was another story.
They were louder than your pack, and that was coming from an alpha who had to deal with identical twins. You weren’t sure if Baekhyun, Chanyeol, or the loud-mouthed girl that you could hear in the kitchen were the loudest, but the three of them made it impossible to sleep any longer.
“Do they ever shut up?” you groaned, trying to push your face farther into the pillows.
You knew Sehun was awake too because he whined and rolled over, covering his face with the blanket.
“No,” he sighed.
But then the twins joined in, and it was like a chaotic Hell had opened just for you.
“Do they ever shut up?” your mate countered.
So the two of you finally got up and emerged from his room, both of you still in the clothes you slept in -- he was just in sweatpants while you only wore one of his t-shirts and figured anybody who stared at you could just get a kick in the teeth. You led the way downstairs with Sehun following begrudgingly behind you because he was still tired. The noise got louder as you approached the kitchen, and you saw the twins joking around loudly with a few of Sehun’s pack mates while they made breakfast. Olan was sitting at the table with Junmyeon and Kyungsoo, Samuri was befriending Yixing, and the others must’ve been off somewhere else. You doubted they were sleeping, but if they were, they were lucky.
“_____!” Airou grinned when he noticed you enter. “Do you want souffle pancakes?”
“You only make souffle pancakes when you want to show off,” you grumbled, rubbing sleep out of your eyes.
“Yeah, exactly!” Ataru giggled.
Minseok seemed to be helping them, and Kyungsoo was observing from the table. You could see that Chanyeol was trying to help, but his souffle pancake had completely fallen apart, along with his smile. Baekhyun just stuck to making fun of the taller wolf for messing up.
“So,” Baekhyun smirked as he looked at yours and Sehun’s appearances, “what did you two get up to last night.”
“Sleeping,” Sehun stated before taking a seat at the table with Olan, Junmyeon, and Kyungsoo.
“You would’ve heard if they did anything else,” Minseok scoffed.
“I’m so glad I’m not a werewolf,” the girl beside Baekhyun mumbled. She didn’t seem to be in the best mood, but you weren’t sure why.
You took a seat across from Sehun and beside Olan.
“I hope you slept okay,” Junmyeon smiled softly.
“Until the twins woke me up,” you sighed. “I’m sorry that they’re so loud. They’re...excitable.”
“I think they word you’re looking for is annoying, _____,” Olan corrected with a chuckle.
“We might be louder,” Kyungsoo deadpanned, looking at you with a serious face as he focused more on the conversation than the cooking.
“We deal with chaos all the time,” Junmyeon reassured you. “Ataru and Airou are nothing, there’s no need to apologize.”
“Since _____’s awake, should we start planning then?” Olan asked.
“I still say we just go after them,” Sehun shrugged. “There’s a lot more of us than there are them.”
“No,” you and Junmyeon both said at the same time, making your mate frown.
“After thinking it over last night,” Junmyeon began, “I realized they might just lose track of you if you’re not where they expect you to be. The odds that they simply move on instead of tracking you are about 50/50, so maybe it’s best to relocate nearby. Not only would you be closer to another pack which would intimidate the hunters, but you’d be closer to Sehun.”
“There’s still the 50% chance that they track them down anyway,” Sehun pointed out.
“But then they’ll realize there’s another pack nearby,” Kyungsoo spoke up. “It would be dangerous and stupid for them to pursue the pack anyway.”
“But--”
“We shouldn’t go after them, Sehun,” you stated, finality in your tone that not only made him shut up, but made him grumpy. “It’s better if we stay away and stay safe.”
But he knew that safety would only last for so long.
-
It wasn’t that he was going against you because you were a girl. Sehun didn’t care what gender you were. He went against you for two reasons: he wanted to keep you safe as his mate, and he didn’t like that you were younger than him and still had more power than him. It made him want to prove that he could hold his own and make decisions.
Of course, his own decisions he made were bad, and you soon felt that he was in danger. It was in your instincts to know when your mate was in trouble. You sat up straight, yellow eyes going wide before they turned red.
“What?” Hanjae asked seeing how you were suddenly on high alert.
“Sehun,” you replied, pushing yourself off the couch and running for the door.
“What about Sehun?” Jongdae inquired as both packs followed after you.
You ignored him, calling for your pack to follow you, but Yixing put a hand on your shoulder to stop you from leaving.
“He’s in our pack, so we should go find him with you,” he decided since Junmyeon and Minseok weren’t home.
“But I’m more comfortable going with my pack,” you insisted, shrugging out from under his hand.
“But he’s our brother,” Jongdae countered.
“There’s more of us,” Olan pointed out.
“We don’t have time to argue over this!” you groaned before you just bolted out the door, not caring if anybody went with you. You had to save Sehun before it was too late.
“We’ll both go, then,” Baekhyun shrugged with an almost teasing grin before he slid past Yixing and out the door after you.
And then the rest of them followed.
-
It took all of three days after both alphas warned Sehun to not go looking for the hunters for him to go looking for the hunters. He had to be sneaky when he tried to track down their headquarters, but he knew he couldn’t waltz in their on his own, so he had to wait to catch one of them alone. That was the tricky part.
Or so he thought.
He had gone out a day prior with his friend, Johnny, and explained his situation. He had finally imprinted, but it was on the alpha of another pack, and you were being tracked by werewolf hunters.
“Hunters?” Johnny asked. “How many of them?”
“Apparently seven boys and a girl.”
“Okay, this is going to sound really weird, but Taeyong’s mate is the girl.”
Sehun didn’t understand how Johnny’s alpha imprinted on a werewolf hunter, but he wasn’t going to question it. He had other things to worry about.
“Can he tell me where she is?”
And that was how he ended up brought down to his knees by the werewolf hunter in front of him. He didn’t plan on attacking her if she was Taeyong’s mate, but she clearly didn’t want to just talk or anything if the gun pointed to his head was any indication. But the way he saw it, at least it was him not you, and he wouldn’t have to deal with the embarrassment that he actually couldn’t do this on his own and try to protect you instead of the other way around.
In hindsight, it was kind of stupid. Sehun didn’t care if he was babied by his pack, but he didn’t want to be babied by his own mate, too. You were younger than him, and he wanted to be able to prove that he could be stronger than you, but he wasn’t. All he did was prove that you were right, and that he deserved to be babied.
All he could do was stare up at the girl he learned was named Kimi as the binds on his wrists behind him burned into his skin. His teeth were clenched, but he refused to cry out from the searing pain the silver caused him. If he was going to go out, he was going to be as brave as he could be -- and he refused to give the hunter the satisfaction of knowing she was causing him pain and scaring the shit out of him.
“I have to say, you might be the dumbest werewolf I’ve run into,” she chuckled. “Coming to find me, saying you ‘just wanna talk’. God, it really doesn’t get easier or dumber than that.”
Sehun stayed silent, biting his tongue to keep from making noise because of the pain in his wrists. He just stared up at the hunter, the gun held to his head in his peripherals.
He saw more people appear out of the forest. One of them was tall and had a kind-looking face, but the aura he exuded was anything but. When he smiled, dimples showed prominently, only enhancing the innocence his appearance held.
“Nice job, Kimi,” he commented.
She shrugged, not looking away from Sehun, “It was nothing -- really.”
Sehun had no idea she had called for backup from her group. The seven men had all walked out and joined her, standing a few feet behind her.
Now he really hoped you didn’t show up in time to save him. You’d surely end up in the same position he was in.
“Maybe if we wait, his pack will show up and we’ll have even more of them,” one of the men commented with a slight smirk.
“There’s no way he has a pack if he showed up on his own,” Kimi commented, his expression bored as she looked down at Sehun, studying him like he wanted to remember him even after he was dead.
One of the men looked off slightly to his right, “I wouldn’t speak so soon. More of them are close by.”
A blonde one sighed before pulling out a gun and cocking it, “Yeah, we can handle it.”
‘Please don’t come, please don’t come, please don’t come,’ was all Sehun could think as he eyed the gun in the short blonde’s hand.
But it wasn’t long until he caught your scent and knew you were nearby, and he closed his eyes. There wasn’t anything he could do to prevent what he knew would happen. He couldn’t even save himself, let alone anybody else.
In front of him, the seven men reached for their weapons and aimed them toward where the two packs were coming from. They saw a werewolf that was a little smaller than most wolves they’d seen.
“Is that a female?” one of them asked quietly.
Sehun cursed internally.
You weren’t the only one who had shifted. Baekhyun, Jongdae, the twins, Samuri, and Chansol had shifted as well. None of you knew if there would be a fight, and it might be better to have a few large wolves on your side. But seeing the reaction from some of the hunters, you knew that just seeing the amount of you there -- even if all of Junmyeon’s pack weren’t there yet -- was making them doubt themselves.
Your group approached them slowly. You knew that they could shoot at any time, but then were standing still as they watched your every move, knowing any of you could run at them or pounce on them at any moment, too. It was like a weird stand-off as you slowly approached Sehun from behind him.
“We can’t take them all...” one of them mumbled.
“Yes we can,” another replied as he pulled out a second gun.
Your red eyes narrowed as you stared down the girl that was holding a gun to your mate’s head. You let out a low growl involuntarily, and all guns were suddenly pointed at you.
While Olan didn’t have any power over you whatsoever, he held an arm out in front of you, trying to tell you not to do anything just yet.
Yixing stepped forward, acting as the stand-in alpha for Junmyeon’s pack, “It seems that you have one of ours. We clearly outnumber you, so if you just give him back, we’ll leave without any trouble.”
“What if we want trouble?” the girl smirked, looking away from Sehun.
“Then you’ll walk away with less people than you have now,” Olan spoke up, “considering any of you walk away.”
“Eight against thirteen doesn’t seem too balanced, does it?” Minjoon pointed out. “And considering we have six wolves, they may as well count as two or three people each. So eight against about twenty-seven -- give or take.”
You weren’t sure when you started having a stare-off with the girl holding her gun to your mate’s head. She seemed to be challenging you, her own eyes narrowed as she stood unwavering. You growled at her again, lowering your head and baring your teeth. But her response was to smirk.
“Don’t tell me your mate came to save you, wolf,” she scoffed as she nudged Sehun’s forehead with the end of the barrel of her gun. “Don’t tell me your bitch had to come rescue you.”
An involuntary growl bubble in Sehun’s chest, which was the only sound he had made since getting captured. She seemed to love that she finally got a reaction from him.
“So let’s say I happened to kill him,” she said, looking at you now as her gun clicked, signaling it was ready to fire, “what would you do? because I’d love to see what happens.”
You were ready to jump on her. You were so ready to rip out her throat and rip her into pieces. But you also knew in the back of your mind that as soon as you went at her, she would shoot Sehun in that instant.
She would shoot Sehun either way. You couldn’t win.
“Do you always have to make trouble for yourself, Kimberly?” a new female voice spoke up.
The girl looked very similar to the one standing in front of Sehun, so you had no doubt they were related. But this girl seemed more relaxed, and she had a slight smile on her face that was not nearly as menacing as the smirk the other girl wore.
The men seemed to look at this new girl with disdain. One of them stood up straighter and glared at her.
“What are you doing back, Kat?” he demanded.
“I go by Kacey now,” she replied coolly as she walked right up to where Sehun was knelt down. “I wanted to get rid of everything that was associated with you murderers.”
The man just rolled his eyes.
“We don’t want anything to do with a traitor, either,” Kimi sneered.
“Is that any way to speak to your older sister?” the girl apparently called Kacey asked as she booped her sister’s nose. Kimi scrunched up her face and took a step back which made Kacey chuckle. “You haven’t changed a bit. Explains why you’re trying to take on two packs of werewolves when there’s only eight of you.”
“Two?” one of the men repeated.
Kacey sighed, gesturing behind her to you and the group, “Anybody could tell that the girl is the alpha of most of them. You’re really falling apart without me, huh?
“Anyway,” she moved on from the subject as she crouched down and began to undo the binds on Sehun’s wrists. But you still could faintly sense werewolf hunter on her, so you watched her carefully, even when she stood with the silver binds in one hand and helped Sehun to his feet with the other, moving in front of him despite being shorter than him, “I suggest you all take their offer. If you intentionally anger his mate, I assume she’ll kill at least three of you within five minutes -- at most: all of you.”
“Don’t release my captives,” Kimi growled, stepping closer to her sister -- and closer to Sehun.
You took a step forward, causing pairs of eyes to flash over to you. Both Olan and Yixing stood in front of you just to at least attempt to keep you back and from making this a fight when it didn’t have to be.
“Then don’t pick fights you know you can’t win,” Kacey countered with a smile. “I’ll see you around, kid.”
She turned around, turning Sehun around and keeping a hand on his back as she led him away. But with her back turned, Kimi raised her gun again and aimed, prepared to fire. You let out a roar, tensing to jump in front of her line of sight, but somebody was much faster than you.
Kacey took out her own gun and turned around, shooting straight at Kimi’s gun and shooting it out of her hand like it was nothing. You weren’t sure how she could even aim that fast or that precisely. You’d never met any kind of hunter like her, but you weren’t even sure if she was a hunter because she was helping you.
“Don’t test me,” Kacey stated, her voice cold like ice. “Go home, Kimi.”
Then she carried on, leading Sehun back to your pack, and nodding with her head to leave the way you’d come. And she even escorted you back.
As Sehun got closer, he refused to look up and meet eyes with you. In fact, everybody was completely silent as you walked back the way you’d come, going through the forest until you’d reached the cars that were parked on the side of the road.
You and the other wolves hung back to shift in the woods so nobody would see while the rest of them continued to the cars. Olan and Yixing both expressed their gratitude to Kacey for helping them, and Yixing even went on to invite her back to meet Junmyeon because he knew their alpha would want to thank her properly, too.
Sehun walked over to one of the cars with Kyungsoo.
“Hyung’s going to be so mad at me...” he sighed.
Kyungsoo chuckled as he opened one of the doors on the other side, “I don’t think it’s Junmyeon that you have to worry about.”
Sehun didn’t even have to turn around to know you were looking at him. In fact, your eyes were burning a hole in his back. And that alone was far more terrifying than anything his alpha would do to him.
-
While Sehun was in trouble, you were terrified. Actually, terrified didn’t even cover the panic and worry you felt that something awful would happen to him. But now that you knew he was safe, you were angry. You were angry that he went behind your back and did what you specifically told him not to do and that he recklessly got himself into a life or death situation. You wanted to hug him and kiss him, and whack him in the back of the head at the same time.
You were incredibly grateful to Kacey for saving Sehun and managing to avoid a fight, but you were more focused on lecturing Sehun as soon as you got into the house than thanking her. You could do that when you were less heated.
“Sehun!” you barked when he tried to go to the living room with everybody else instead of following you up to his room. He dropped his head and went to you, knowing he was really in for it. When he closed the door, you immediately went off on him. “What the fuck were you thinking?! Both Junmyeon and I told you not to go after them, but you did anyway! You went against me and you went against your own alpha! You almost died, Sehun! What the fuck were we supposed to do if you died, huh?!”
“I’m sorry,” he whimpered, finally looking up and meeting your eyes. He was surprised to see that despite how angry you sounded, your red eyes were filled with tears, a few escaping down your cheeks. “Oh no, _____, please don’t start crying.”
“What else am I supposed to do? You almost died! I thought you were going to die!”
He frowned, going over to you and cupping your cheeks, wiping your tears away with his thumbs, “_____, I really am sorry. I did it for a stupid reason, and I shouldn’t have, and I’m sorry. I learned my lesson. I’m not able to protect you, let alone myself.”
Your expression changed slightly from pure anger to confused, “Protect me?”
He sighed, looking away but still holding your face, mumbling, “It’s really stupid...”
You stayed silent, looking at him unexpectedly. Knowing you wanted an answer and he wouldn’t get out of answering, he sighed and pulled you to his chest so you at least couldn’t look at him when he answered. But you were fine with it because at least you knew he was safe when you had your arms wrapped around his waist.
“You’re younger than me, but you’re so much stronger than I am as an alpha. I wanted to prove that I could be stronger. I wanted to protect you so you would look up at me instead of looking down at me because I’m just the pup of my pack.”
You pushed away from him just enough to look up at him, “Sehun, I don’t look down at you. I don’t look down at anybody.”
He looked at you, still frowning, “I don’t want you to see me as a baby like my pack does.”
“I don’t,” you insisted, reaching up to gently stroke is face. Sehun leaned into your warm touch, a soft rumble vibrating in his chest. “Just because I’m an alpha doesn’t mean I’ll see you as weaker or incapable. You’re not any less of a werewolf.”
Sehun’s eyebrows furrowed as he suddenly stood straight up again, “You’re babying me right now!”
You chuckled, “You’re acting like a baby.”
“Am not,” he huffed.
“Alright, then I won’t baby you,” you promised as you let go of him and stepped away. “Take care of your own wounds, big boy.”
As you walked past him toward the door, he turned and whined, “Waaaait.”
“Yes?” you smirked as you turned back around.
“You’re not going to help me?” he pouted.
Unable to resist his cute expression, you playfully rolled your eyes, “Come to the bathroom, you big baby.”
He followed behind you down the hall to the bathroom, grumbling, “I’ll prove I’m tougher than you one day. You’re still younger and shorter than me.”
“You keep thinking that,” you nodded. “Junmyeon’s also shorter than you, but I’m sure he’ll lay you out as soon as he comes home.”
And as if on cue, the front door slammed shut before you heard Junmyeon growl, “Sehun!”
You looked back at your mate over your shoulder, giggling, “Good luck, tough guy.”

Our Memories Carved into the Season
The Sky That Doesn’t End Series Masterlist (coming soon)
Genre: EXO AU, High School
Rating: PG
Pairing: Chanyeol x Myeong-suk (OC)
Summary: In which a new girl comes to school. A new girl determined to be alone. That’s no problem for a happy virus though. Chanyeol has suddenly found a desire to make a deep connection with someone outside of his brothers, regardless of the trials presented.
Prev, AO3
Chapter 2: First Understandings,
She paused outside of the music room, as the sweet melody of the piano floated through the air. Her fingers twitched in desperation to dance across the black and white keys again, but the absence that the piano reminded her of stopped her hand on the doorknob. Slowly, she shifted to her toes to see through the small window in the door, dropping back down as soon as she saw the friendly giant sitting behind the grand instrument.
He’d said he could play, but she didn’t realize he could play like that.
The piano stopped and she heard the seat scratch across the floor. Moving quickly, she positioned herself so that the open door would block her from view and waited for him to leave, holding in her breath. Myeong-suk nearly jumped when the door flew open, but he ran off and she went unnoticed. She exhaled, then checked the hall before slipping into the room, making her way over to the piano before she could stop herself.
It was a grand, worn, but much more beautiful than any piano she had seen, including the old upright one her parents had scraped for. Running her hand along the keys, she could feel where they had been well-loved. Then, finally, she pressed one. The next thing she knew her hands picked up where they had left off, and she let time tick away unnoticed as she filled the room with an unknown melody.
~~~
Chanyeol leaned his back quietly against the door, smiling as he listened to the beautiful melancholic tones that flowed from her soul and through the piano.
When it eventually stopped, he cautioned a glance inside. She sat on the bench, face buried in her hand as her shoulders shook in silent sobs. His hand flew to the doorknob but he stopped. This was private, and no matter how much he wanted to comfort her, he knew his sudden presence would likely only make things worse. His hand dropped from the door handle and he took a step away.
He could get his bag tomorrow before class.
~~~
He racked his brain for three days after seeing her in the music room, trying to think of something to start a conversation again. But he’d finished the book, and though he had noticed her reading another, she never made an effort to bring it up.
So, he was completely shocked when she showed up at their lunch table.
“Myeong-suk?” he asked, the others' attention all being pulled to the new girl who stood awkwardly to the side. “What’s up?”
“I...I was wondering, well, I finished another manhwa by the same author.” She stopped and shifted on her legs. “Would you like to borrow it?”
He beamed. “Yeah, I’d love to.”
She finally looked at him, smiling at his reaction. “Great.” She looked over her shoulder at her backpack, then her tray, smile dropping as she tried to figure out how to maneuver to get the book. He wanted to offer her a seat but knew she’d refuse. The others, however, did not.
“Would you like to take a seat?” Suho asked, gesturing to the small amount of space between Lay and D.O., who promptly scooted apart more. Chanyeol gave his brother a thankful smile at his acceptance of another outsider. His hyung’s response was one of tired resignation.
“That’s okay,” she said, recatching Chanyeol’s attention, his smile turning to a pout as she waved away the offer.
“Come on,” Baekhyun said next to him, leaning forward and gesturing at her. “We don’t bite.” Chanyeol nudged him in the ribs, at which he gave an over-exaggerated cry and fell to the floor.
“Ignore him,” Chanyeol said, turning back to Myeong-suk, who, he was delighted to see, appeared to be holding back a laugh.
“Why don’t you like me anymore?” Baekhyun cried from the floor but went ignored.
Lay turned more in his seat to face her better, a soft smile on his lips. “You should sit with us. There’s plenty of room,” he said, arm outstretched to take her tray. After a moment's hesitation in which Chanyeol thought she might literally run away, she handed her tray to Lay, who placed it on the table as she removed her bag and got situated.
She handed the book over to Chanyeol who took it with thanks, safely stashed the book, and then turned back to her. “This is Lay,” he said, raising a hand to gesture toward the gentle-looking man, then to the one on her other side. “And that’s D.O.; you know Baekhyun.”
“Sorry about that,” D.O. cut in, taking a bite.
Chanyeol went through introductions of the rest of the group, hoping they would keep their teasing comments about his crush to when she was gone. She took the sheer number of them in stride, holding herself.
“You don’t have to worry about remembering everyone's name,” Chanyeol finished.
”There’s a lot of us, and things can get a little crazy,” Lay said. “It’s nice to finally meet you properly.”
~~~
“I’m still so frustrated. I know she had to narrow down the characters by the end of the story, but he was important,” she said with a huff.
“I still can’t believe she recycled them.” He flipped through the book, frustrated. “Did she think we wouldn’t notice because they were side characters?”
“I don’t know. Ugh.” She ruffled her hair in frustration, then slid her hands down her face as she slid down in her chair. “I don’t know if I’ll be able to read another one of her books if she does that again.”
He chuckled, mimicking her posture. “So, do you have another book yet?”
She shook her head, leaning it back to look up at the ceiling. “No, but I’m thinking of starting a western classic. I just can’t decide if I want to get a Korean copy, or if I want to get it in English to practice.”
Chanyeol rested his cheek against his hand, thinking. “Why not both? You could check the library.”
“That’s true.”
He let the silence sit for a moment, gaining up the courage. He’d suggested the music room purposefully today for talking about the book, using its usual emptiness as an excuse. “I was, uh, wondering,” he said, standing and moving over to the guitars, picking up his. “I’ve been working on a song, and I wanted to get your opinion.”
“Are you sure you want mine?” she asked, sitting back up in her chair. “I’m probably not the best person to ask.”
“You’re perfect,” he said around a guitar pick, waving off her comment as he sat back down, adjusting the guitar strap. When he was comfortable, he looked up at her, waiting for an answer.
“Um, okay. If you’re sure you want me.”
“I am.”
V.
These days, I view our first meeting as little more than a game or an act of pretense. So distant was he from me, I assumed it was all a dream - a fantasy inspired by opening night adrenaline. Worse, I thought perhaps one of the other girls had put on a rouse to fill me with hope or, more likely, to embarrass me in the harsh light of day out of their propensity for jealousy.
Shrouded in darkness, he cleaved desperately to his secrets, though I suppose it served the purpose he intended. All his mystery and carefully chosen words fanning the flames of my blood. Brilliant, as always, and tearing straight through to the heart of me, as though he has known me all along. Looking back, I suppose he did.
From that moment, I became plagued by Aeon Smith, by his person and the idea of him. As the days passed, I felt tormented, perpetually ruminating over his existence and the truth of his name. Rather, not a name but a title, a reality. To me, he continued to remain nameless, paradoxically identifiable without an identity, and this only served to bewilder me beyond the comprehension of my imagination.
I am the son.
Infuriating, to know the what of a man before knowing the who. Or rather, no, I find this declaration unfair. In music and in letters, he had done nothing but reveal himself to me - always, he was baring his soul to me, presenting himself as though he were naked, skinned down to the bone to display all his ugliest parts.
Every dissonant chord penned by his quill was an exposure of a flaw, one of his flaws, and I was moved into loving and appreciating them with all of myself. Every major chord was a virtue, and therefore it was easy to adore those pieces, easy to love and understand them, to want them all over me as a slight fall of rain, but it was his dissonance, the anger and wrath of his pieces that became the subtle clues I mulled over for weeks on end.
From that night forward, we met weekly, always in the chapel and always under the cover of darkness. It was not long before the skin of my bare feet became immune to the cold chill of the floor, before I hardly needed a candle to guide my way, eventually only taking it to add a sliver more of light to the room in the hopes of seeing his face.
Rarely did he allow himself to lean into it.
My favourite nights were the ones filled with moonlight, nights when the sky was clear of clouds and the moon, unwavering her adoration of his features, made it difficult for him to hide from me. Bathed in silver, I took my time admiring his features, and I suppose he pretended to be unaware of my yearning but he could never truly hide his smile.
I was intimately familiar with his dimple for I knew much of him at all.
Some nights, the moon would deliver to me the perfect curvature of his upper lip, pink and swollen, unkissed yet desperate to be so; another, the peak of his ear followed quickly by the slender length of his right hand. The veins carved hills and valleys, and all the light in the world strained to reach him.
The visions of him flickered with the movement of my candles, and each time, every time, my body ached to touch him. Steadily it grew worse the more I made him laugh, that intoxicating thunder invading my blood; I’d grown addicted to it, inching closer and closer, pew by pew, until I was under it - under him - completely covered.
It was our fifth meeting when I finally learned his name, every syllable connected to his tenuous lineage. By then, I’d done my best to needle it out of him, willing it to spill from his lips so often I’d eventually ceased altogether, certain it was the least important piece of him. Perhaps I should have been wary of his fastidious secrecy, but I had so many more important parts of him his name was almost inconsequential.
I’d arrived in low spirits, feeling tired and feeling somewhat lost, capsizing, perhaps, in a sea of performance exhaustion and unrequited love. The truth of the wax seal had burned inside me for days, a fire in my mouth I wished to spit at everyone who dared praise Monsieur Park for his airs of magnanimity. Worse still, I knew every color, every shape, but not his name and not the full beauty of his face. My imagination was gifted but feasting on slivers of him felt much the same as feeding on ghosts.
I craved all of him, every answer, every tragedy, every breath trapped inside his lungs.
And so that night lingers in my memory, perfect and immortal, tangible as though it has happened not twelve hours previous. For it was not merely his name he gave me, but his entire visage, the mole that kissed his nose, the stars in his eyes, the smile he wore just for me.
And that night he gave me everything.
"Fuck." You mutter a curse under your breath when you feel your lungs constrict and your vision blur. "Where the hell is Chanyeol?!" You hiss when another pang hits your head.
You were slightly drunk and you were at a stranger's house. Break-ups were never nice to you which was why you needed breaks like these. Chanyeol brought you to a classmate’s house who was having a large house party for the football team's victory. You were here with your cheer team too but this would've been more fun if you came along with Jongdae and Minseok.
As if on cue with your thoughts, you hear Dae's voice. "Y/N! Yeol said you'd be here!" You see him walk inside the crowded kitchen you were in.
"Daedae! Mini!" You slurred, making him and Minseok laugh. "You were having all the fun alone, huh?" Minseok teases you which you respond with a grimace. "He's here.." You were sick to the stomach at the thought of your ex again.
Junmyeon was a nice guy. He was the best boyfriend to you even. You had bo idea what went wrong that he suddenly broke up with you. But that was the thing with good boys, they will mess you up good because you never saw what you were getting in the first place. You'd think it's all rainbows and cuddles. It's not, Junmyeon proved you that.
Minseok gives you a red cup with booze inside as his way of comforting you. "Thanks." You wink at him and at his attempt of cheering you up.
"If I didn't know better, I'd be mad at Chanyeol for leaving you alone but I know he's probably making out with the house owner." Jongdae sighed, looking at you with pitiful eyes. "I'm okay, Dae. Y'all can hook up all you want but please drive me home after." You laugh at him.
"Who's the house owner?" You ask him, remembering what he just said. "You don't know? He was your lab partner in bio." Ah! Now, you remembered. It was Baekhyun, the golden boy. He was a guy like your ex, Junmyeon: straight As, student-athlete and school councilor. They were the kids your parents compared you to and you paled in comparison.
You couldn't imagine your friend, Chanyeol, being with a guy like that. He was perfect, Chanyeol fucked whoever he liked. "Calm down. They're hooking up, not getting married." Minseok said before your drunken thoughts ran further in your head.
"God, why did I drink so much?" You ask them with a wince. Jongdae only sighed and looked at you with eyes full of pity once again.
"Stop with the pity, we came here to party." Minseok rolls his eyes at Jongdae and drags you two out of the kitchen and into the dancefloor.
The stench of beer and sweat clouded the air. The music was loud, making your head pang but your hips swing. Jongdae puts his arms around you and Minseok as you swam through the crowd with heads bobbing to the beat. It was a feeling you knew but longed for. The drunken euphoric feeling. It made you forget your ex was even here.
"Wooh!" Minseok hoots while dancing to the music that was deafening yet comforting at the same time. You match his energy and let yourself loose. It has been a while since you've been this free.
You feel the alcohol get to you. You had the sudden urge to get out and breathe.
You eye Jongdae who was having a good time with Minseok. "I'll just get some air.." You point outside and they just nod.
You make your way through the dancing crowd and find the main door. You walk out and finally, you have the oxygen to inhale. "Ugh.." You groaned, cracking your neck.
Walking to the front porch, you see a number of partygoers here too. Just like you, they needed air too. You spot an unfamiliar man with a bottle of beer in his hand. You wouldn't have the courage to approach him if you were sober but you weren't. The booze Minseok brought have officialy kicked in and it's giving you confidence.
It was dark but it was obvious that he was handsome and buff. "Hey, I don't know you." You stupidly greeted him, making him laugh heartily. Doe eyes, heart-shaped lips, defined jaw, thick eyebrows. He wasn't just handsome, he was a lot of it!
"I feel the same." He jokingly answered you when you neared him. You mentally curse yourself at how dorkish you approached the good-looking guy. "What I meant was you're probably not from our school?" You tried to explain and he nodded.
"I'm long out of school, kid." You snicker at his nickname for you. It's not like you're a literal child! You were a senior and nineteen now. He talked like he was 70 too, when in fact, he looked barely 20.
He notices your sneer and he laughs again. He offers you his free hand and your eyes widen at that. "Kyungsoo." He says his name with a glint in his eyes. A naughty one, at that.
"Y/N." You shyly answered, taking his hand too. "Smoke?" He shows you a box of cigarettes and you shake your head at that. "I'm still buzzed." You smile at him and he nods, taking a stick to his lips.
He lights it singlehandedly and starts sucking some of it in between his lips. "What's a grown man doing at a high-school party?" You jokingly jeered at him, trying to get back at him with the 'kid' nickname.
"Picking up my brother." He chuckles in between puffs. "Isn't your brother a senior like me? Can't he go home himself?" You pry further. "Strict parents." He shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly.
You nod at what he said, running out of things to say. You really haven't seen him around despite your neighborhood being small. But you guessed it was because he was older and people around here left after high-school.
"Why are you out here?" He asked out of nowhere, cigarette still in his fingers. "Needed air." You breathe out and look at the empty sky above you.
"Wanna get out of here?" He says, tapping on his cigarette stick. You were surprised by his offer. It wasn't that you were unattractive but you didn't sleep around. You weren't the type to be asked to things like these.
He chuckles lightly at your shocked face. "What? You're gonna stare at my face the whole night?" He jokes, sucking his cigarette in for the fourth time. You didn't know what was taking over you but you knew you couldn't stop it. You were drunk and you were feeling a little hot. This handsome man wasn't helping either.
You inch towards him, the moment he breathes out smoke. You get on your tiptoes and kiss his perfectly plump lips, tasting nicotine and alcohol on them. Like him, it was addicting. The kiss was addicting.
You suckled on his bottom lip causing him to hold onto your neck. You hear him moan against your kiss and you smile at that. To tease him, you get back to your original height and stop kissing him.
"It's bad to tease a deprived man." He eyes you and the skimpy hot pink silky dress you were wearing. "Deprived?" You laugh at him. "I just got discharged." He smirks which surprised you. He was from the military? That explains why he's buff.
Unable to stop yourself, you get on your tiptoes to meet his lips once again. This time, he responds with much more fervor.
He throws away his cigarette stick and grabs your face in place with both hands. You groan against his touch as his fingers roam around the sides of your body. His touch drove you crazier and braver.
Without breaking the kiss, he guides you to his car and lets you inside. After a minute or two, he distances himself and starts walking to the driver side.
Your lips instantly felt the absence of his touch and it drove you nuts. You wanted him, all of him, now. The car roars to life as he started pulling out of Baekhyun's driveway.
"Weren't you supposed to pick your brother up?" You ask despite the growing hunger inside you. "He's a senior, he can go home himself." He smirks, mocking your question earlier.
You smile amusingly at how he's so charming. Well, he charmed his way into your pants in less than ten minutes. What did you expect?
The hunger inside you pushed you to be braver. You never did anything like this inside a car but you guessed there was always a first for everything. You bent down which surprised him.
You unzipped his pants and his 8-inch member sprung to life when you let it peek from his boxers. He was hard after one kiss? Well, he was right. He was indeed deprived. The reddish tip looked swollen as it twitched in your hands, begging you take it in.
Lust took over you and you let your tongue roll off its head. You hear Kyungsoo groan and it drives you crazier than you already were. You gather your hair and hold it yourself since he was driving. Your head bobbed up and down as your lips enveloped his cock.
"Holy shit." He speeds down the street as you let your tongue swirl around the erection. You smile as your tongue ran around it, making it harder for him to control.
His hips bucked as you taste his precum oozing. Salty, bitter but satisfying, you thought. He finally pulls up into a garage and the car stops humming.
He puts his pants back in place and drags you out of the car, his lips meeting yours as soon as you step out. "Jump." He growled. You obey him and interlace your thighs against his torso. He carries you inside the house and up to his room without breaking the kiss.
His hand rested on your bottom, alighting an unknown flame inside you. He throws you onto his bed and hovers above you after. You squirmed under his lustful eyes. You knew you wanted more. You wanted him.
You were on some unknown high the moment he tore your silk dress apart effortlessly. His eyes skimmed over your body like a beast eyeing his prey carefully and you, the prey desperate to be devoured.
You arch your back when his fingertips met your bra. His eyes were glued on your face and every reaction you made, his erection throbbed even more.
He ripped your underwear aggressively. You wanted to worry about what you will wear after this since your dress and undies were now ruined but lust clouded your judgment.
His hands roamed around your body and you whimpered like a cat in heat. "Fuck." He curses under his breath when his warm palms massaged your breasts. "Kyungs-soo." You stuttered while still squirming under his touch.
"What do you want, baby?" He growls, looking at you with dark eyes. "I-I want you.." You begged but he smirked. "Later.. I have to spoil this baby first." His teasing eyes left yours as he went down on you.
You feel his tongue flick your clit as if he was testing waters. You quivered at that contact while his hands still on your boobs.
His teeth grazed your wet pussy as you felt him smile against it. His hold on your chest even became tighter, making you moan and arch your back even more. "Sweet." He commented, licking his lips and making it touch your clit at the same time.
He ate you out while you squirmed under him, your fingers in his locks. You close your eyes when he starts pinching your nipples. "K-Kyungsoo!" You couldn't help but scream in pleasure as a wave of release washed over you. Your thighs trembled and your eyes roll back when you finally feel something come out of you.
"Kyungsoo, I want you. God." You breathe out as he starts teasing the tip of his dick against your throbbing pussy. He bows down to suck your nipples and you whimper for the nth time tonight.
He senses your need and desperation. Finally, he enters you which surprises you. Your eyes widened at the impact when he filled you up to the brim, making him grin mischievously. He starts thrusting slowly, feeling every inch of you inside.
He picks up his pace as he holds your thighs in place and his mouth still on your nipples. You moan repeatedly while he pounds you harder and harder. "Soo!" You scream when he started biting your hard peaks.
It doesn't take both of you long to come at the same time. He groans one last time as you feel his hot liquid fill you up.
He pulls out, juices dripping out of you making him smirk in satisfaction. He heads to his bathroom and take a shower as you unknowingly doze off in his bed, soreness and his scent enveloping your bare body.
-
Blinding sunlight woke you up. You flutter your eyes open and see an arm draped over your stomach. Kyungsoo, you remembered.
"Fuck.." You whisper when you spot your torn dress and underwear on the floor. You wondered what the hell you would wear now that Kyungsoo just destroyed everything.
Your soft voice woke him up. His face looked so much better under the sun that it did last night. If you didn't know better, you'd even think he was innocent and soft. Yet you knew how he rocked your world last night said otherwise.
He gets up, still in his boxers. "Good morning." His groggy voice was hot and you couldn't deny it made you feel something you felt last night.
"Good morning but first, what will I wear now?" You bite your lip nervously. He chuckles at your worried face. "Here." He gives you a black hoodie and grey sweatshorts from his closet.
"These are mine now?" You ask him while slipping them on. It was weird wearing clothes without anything underneath but you had no choice.
You open his door and get out of his room. "No, silly. It's an excuse to meet again." He growls in your ear which makes you giggle. He was flirting with you the next morning. This was more than just a one night stand, you thought.
"Have breakfast with me?" He brings your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles. You smile at how he can be so sweet. "You aren't a deprived man anymore. Why let me have breakfast here?" You teased, earning a smile from him.
He goes up to you and kisses your neck as he leads you to his kitchen. His lips started darting upwards to your jaw and you couldn’t help but let out tiny moans. You were about to meet his lips with your own but someone interrupted.
"Y/N?" A familiar voice thundered from his kitchen. You whip your head around yet Kyungsoo stays unbothered, his lips still suckling your sensitive jaw.
"What the hell are you doing with my brother?" Junmyeon glowers, a smirking Kyungsoo teasing him. "Jun?" You ask with so much disbelief in your voice. You knew he had a brother but you had no idea who it was or where he was.
"Didn't your dumbass break up with her already?" Kyungsoo smiles as he snakes an arm around your waist visibly, eyeing his brother mockingly. "Yeah but-" Your ex wasn't able to respond when he was cut off by his own brother.
"Your loss, bro." Kyungsoo chuckles.
I need some more people to roleplay with! I only do double roleplays. Oc x members (female) as well. No singles cause I don’t think that’s very fair.
So here is what I’m interested in, along with my love interests:
-BTS (Yoongi)
-EXO (Chanyeol)
-NCT (Jaehyun)
-Stray Kids (Changbin)
-Ateez (Wooyoung or Seonghwa)
Sorry that it’s all Kpop related, I hope at least one or two of you are interested. And if there are any other ideas related to my list, just ask. (Like anyone from the Hip Hop genre. Jay Park, Gray, pH-1, etc.)
Rules: 1.) Length and Literacy. I prefer a more light responses, not paragraph after paragraph. But I do want some effort. No one lined responses. Basic grammar and spelling would be amazing. No text talk, please.
2.) Limits I will only write things involving crime, smut, drug and/or alcohol abuse. Nothing involving cannibalism, pedophelia, body waste, or extreme BDSM. I will only do a light BDSM and kinks just nothing too extreme.
If you want anything with smut (especially since I like doing that from time to time) please be 18+.
3.) Commitment I don’t like it when you disappear after setting up a roleplay. I’ve had so many people do that to me already, and I hate it. So if you want to rp, please be committed. If you don’t want to do it anymore, than just tell me instead of disappearing. But I’m looking for more of a long-term rp partner.
