policeman!jihoon pt.1

a/n;special thanks to my bff @chaeyolks for helping me do this rlly pretty moodboard! also, a last minute idea of mine to write about policeman!jihoon… it came from a dream too

warning: mention of alcohol, please drink wisely; also this is written in the time where all members are legal “you’re illegal, why are you even a police officer?”

patched to the violent crimes division but his looks doesn’t fit the job?? like hey, how can someone have such flowery looks and be a police officer in the violent crimes division??

though he interned for it when he was in uni, and enjoys his job

and also one of the few interns that manage to stay professional

he just doesn’t like to,, deal with violence??

and the mentions of murders just makes his blood run cold

nonetheless he manages to nab the culprit without fail

learnt taekwondo during his intern days and has a 6th don black belt

teaches little kids taekwondo in his free time to earn some more disposable income

ngl the moms all want their kids to be under jihoon just so they can talk to him LOL

his position in the police station is ever-changing

like,, he could be in the detective department for a month

and a patrolling department for another

whatever job that has been tasked to him, he does it really well

whenever girls ask him what his job was, he would be honest and tell then that he’s in the police force

all the girls would swoon,, like jihoon in a police uniform??

arrest me pls

but he always declines them for drinks because he has to be somewhat awake 24 hours

and he never had interest in girls

he was notorious for being a complete asshole to girls back in high school

he wasn’t a fuccboi

but just,, lead them on and tell them he never had interest in them

he didn’t fuck, by the way

just playing with girls’ feelings

however is really soft and gentle with kids

there was one time he saw a lost kid at the mall crying and immediately ran to pick him up and comfort him

didn’t even bother going to the information counter because he found the kid’s mom in 5 minutes LOL

fellow police officer!daniel always drags him along to clubs to mingle with strangers and dance

and get girls

but jihoon always settles for apple juice or mocktail, nothing alcoholic

until he day he met you

to be honest, you knew jihoon since high school

he was one of the popular ones, you were one of the quieter ones

you knew of each others’ existence, but you guys never talked

you were in the club for undercover duties,, because apparently there were cases of sleazy dudes tryna spike girls’ drinks

and you’re there to bust them

meanwhile, jihoon ordered his first alcoholic drink, thanks to daniel

it wasn’t anything strong, but jihoon was unsure himself of his alcohol tolerance

he did let loose a little, tried to sober himself up by dancing at the dance floor

you were taking your seat at the bar, with fellow undercover police officer!baejin(y’all im sorry i had to)

you weren’t allowed to drink so you just ordered a passion fruit and mint cooler

guys trying to shoot double takes at you often give up, at the sight of baejin’s intimidating face LOL

but tipsy jihoon staggered to you, and winked

“what is a pretty lady doing at a baAArrrr?!111″

“uhm, sir, i think you’re drunk–”

“i”M nOt DrUnk bAEEbY, hUnny dO yOu kNow whO I aM?!” jihoon slurred

“no, i think we–”

“i’M iNSpEctOr pArK jJEehOOOn, work– in tHe GaNGnAM pOlIcE StaSHUNNN”

baejin could only laugh at the scene that was unfolding, he knew jihoon as an acquaintance as they have interned together before

“y/n, he’s inspector park jihoon under the violent crimes department.”

park jihoon, sounds oddly familiar

“what is a drunk inspector doing at a bar?” you snickered

“beats me,” baejin shrugged, “i think we should call it a day, daniel-hyung is here anyway.”

“then what are we gonna do about this,” you pointed to jihoon, who was now slumped over the table, “inspector?”

“let’s just bring him to the police station, we need to report there anyway.”

so now with jihoon on baejin’s back, walking to the car

“cAnn I bUYYYY yOu a DrIIIINKkkkkkk”

“no you can’t, you’re out of the club” baejin huffed, hoisting jihoon into the backseat of the car

you sat at the backseat of the car, to make sure jihoon doesn’t puke

“dAAnIeLLLL hYunGGGg i HaTe yOuuuu,,,,, wHy dO yOu alllllWays aSK mE to Get yOOU gUUUURrrlssss??!?!”

this was really humourous, so you decided to record whatever nonsense jihoon was saying in his drunken state

“lieutenant hWanGGGGg wHY dO yOU alWAYSSSS /hiccups/ cHangE mY dEPARtmeeeeNt?1 aM i dOing nOt gooOOOOD enOUgggh??”

luckily, the police station was just a 5-minute drive from the club, and this time you tried to carry jihoon on you back

“y/n, i can do it–”

“it’s okay, i can handle him.”

and damn, it was quite a sight, a girl carrying a man on his back to a police station

“y/n, its nice to– oh my god” minhyun sees jihoon on your back, then hides his face in his hands

“lieutenant hwang, i found inspector park at the club im going undercover for, and he seems drunk.”

“did he do anything?”

“no, except asking sergeant bae for a drink, and asking me what i’m doing in a club, sir”

you whipped out your phone and showed minhyun the video recording of jihoon’s drunk talking,, minhyun was trying hard not to laugh, his face was turning red

“sir, inspector park even–” baejin tried to add on, but you covered his mouth

“if there is nothing, sir, we will take our leave.” you bowed, dragging baejin along with you

once the both of you were out of the station, you pulled baejin’s ear,,

“yah bae jinyoung-ssi, do you want me to lose my job?!”

“no, i was–”

“i’ll tell lieutenant hwang to give you extra duty, he likes me more than you anyway”

“y/f/n, i’m 1 year older than you.”

“hwang minhyun is my brother–”

“oKAY YOU WIN”

the next day, jihoon wakes up with a splitting headache

and realises that he isn’t at home

he’s at the police station
