It’s late…at least for you. Judging from the people milling about with ease, they’re a lot more accustomed to being awake at unholy hours of the night. A couple of them even cast curious glances at you, unused to seeing you at a party. And you can’t blame them either. You’re the college’s well-known “good girl”, volleyball captain and top of your college batch. You’ve been to exactly one party your entire four years here and it was because your roommate, Yeseul, threw it without telling you.
She’s not at this party, too embarrassed to show her face after being dumped by the school playboy, San. You’d feel bad but she kinda deserved it after bragging to everyone how she bagged him. And if she went with you, she’d make it such a huge deal when you want to lay low. You came to this party for one reason after all…to find Bae Jinyoung.
Once again, something you never thought you’d be doing. Jinyoung is the complete opposite of you in every way. Always partying, and getting high, his list of cons goes on and on. But when you were paired up with him to tutor in a last-ditch effort to not get expelled, you didn’t expect to grow so close to him. And maybe you’ve grown to have a soft spot for him.
He had to retake his final exam due to a stomach bug (he was hungover, but you decided not to let his professor know that fact) and you were told his test results early. He had passed after months of hard work, and you were too excited to keep it from him.
You called him first, and he picked up, but he was clearly drunk, living it up at what you heard was the last party of the year. And against your better judgement, you decided to go tell him the good news in person, perhaps after getting him a little more sober. And you’re maybe a little stupid, hoping he would come sweep you off your feet and kiss you senseless, but a girl can dream. Maybe when you tell him the good news, he’ll lift you and swing you around just like in all your romance books and fall in love.
You’re once again reminded of just how out of place you are as you weave through the crowd. As you look around, you can’t help but be amused at how you must look so lost. You’re not looking where you’re going properly and you bump into a broad chest.
When you look up, you’re met with the furrowed brows of the other Jinyoung of the college, Park Jinyoung, recognisable from his stone-cold features and his signature turtleneck. The only thing he shares with your Jinyoung is the name. Whereas your Jinyoung was mixed up in all sorts of trouble, ranging from drugs to drinking to sex, Park Jinyoung kept to himself, except for this one girl he seemed to have conflicted feelings for. You’ve seen him look at her like she made the stars, only to push her away when she turns her attention towards him. And case in point, when you mutter out a sorry he barely pays attention to you, muttering her name under his breath. Looks like you’re not the only one looking for someone tonight.
You try and ask around a bit, and while some classmates do their best to narrow down Bae Jinyoung’s location for you despite their inebriated state, most of them are just too shell-shocked to see you here and they can’t mask their confusion.
“YN? I didn’t expect to see you here.” A familiar voice catches your attention and you turn to see Choi San standing before you, his hair ruffled and his signature smile on his face. There’s a hint of sadness in his eyes, but you don’t know him well enough to enquire about it.
“Ah, hello, San. I hope you’re doing well after…all that’s happened.” It’s no secret that San broke up with Yeseul because of his roommate. To your credit, you manage to hold back your curiosity and instead just ask him a question pertaining a bit more to your own dilemma. “Have you seen Jinyoung? Bae, not Park.”
San shrugs. “I’m doing well, yes. I can’t stay long, but I think I saw Jinyoung near the living room. It’s through there, you can’t miss it. Lots of couches…and lots of people kissing.”
You absolutely miss the warning tone in his voice, but your heart is already beating a little too fast for your own good at the idea of seeing Jinyoung again. “All right, thanks San!” You start walking the other way, but something nags at you and you spin around, calling out his name before he steps away. “And San…I want to apologise for Yeseul. You should go for your friend. She looks at you the same way.”
There’s a moment’s pause, then San quirks his lips at you. “Thanks, YN. I think I will. Good luck with Jinyoung.”
You laugh and salute him before turning back to continue on your way. With each step, you can feel excitement rush past your ears. You know it’s a horrible idea, but you’ve grown fond of Jinyoung. Maybe it was how all the rumours surrounding him were less than satisfactory, but he never showed you anything but kindness and quietness when you tutored him. Maybe it was the way he leapt at any chance to talk about football to you, and how his smile would light up any room.
And maybe it was when he finally convinced you to let loose and take a study break with him, you found out he kisses gently, large hands cupping your face as his breath puffs over your lips. His touches are soft, ghosting over your waist as you sit beside him, and you feel special.
“Jinyoung–” you call out, entering the room San had pointed out to you, but you stop dead in your tracks. You’ve found him. Bae Jinyoung, sitting on the couch, a girl in his lap and his tongue deep in her mouth. It’s not nearly as sweetly as he kissed you, and yet your stomach drops. It’s stupid to be hurt, you remind yourself. You stare for a moment longer, eyes glued to how the girl is grinding on him so well and you feel a tightness in your throat you can’t seem to dislodge.
And it’s almost like slow motion when Jinyoung turns his head and makes direct eye contact with you. His mouth drops open, more than it was before and like the coward, you turn tail and run right back out of the room.
You push through the people crowding you and out one of the back doors. In the distance, you can see a figure floundering in the lake, soaking wet, but you can’t be bothered to be curious about the sight. You should’ve known this was going to happen. You catch feelings, and Jinyoung doesn’t, and you make a fool of yourself. How could you be so dumb? It’s clear what happened. You were just another conquest, another prize for him to win.
“YN!” You can hear Jinyoung’s familiar cadence float from the house and you glance back, seeing him try and get to you through the people milling about. “YN wait!”
There’s desperation in his voice, but your brain does not register it and you just turn away, heading towards the line of cars parked far into the grass. You didn’t park there, but it should give you enough cover as you make your way to the next street over where your car actually is.
Your eyes are trained forward, and you refuse to look back even as Jinyoung’s panicked footsteps get closer and closer to you. “YN, please!” You hesitate just for a moment, but it’s long enough for him to catch up to you and grab your arm gently. “Please look at me, YN.”
You turn around, but keep your eyes trained on the ground lest you cry, especially after seeing his face. “What’s up?” It’s almost sick how sweetly your voice sounds as it breaks.
“YN, I’m sorry.” The desperation has not left Jinyoung’s voice, and his hands move to your shoulders, gripping them tightly as if that would convince you he meant no harm. And maybe he didn’t. But it’s not his fault you’ve fallen in love with an unobtainable thought.
“Why are you sorry?” you respond, trying your hardest to keep your voice level, although it tremours just a bit when Jinyoung sucks in a breath. “I can’t stop you from…parties, and kissing. I’m just a nobody.”
Jinyoung shakes his head, his long hair falling in his eyes but he makes no move to brush it away. “You’re anything but a nobody, YN. You’re pretty and perfect, and you have so much going for you. You have a job already lined up, you have plans for your future. I’m the one who’s a nobody.”
You laugh. “We could go around in circles, Jinyoung. You’re not a nobody, not to me. And not to that girl. It’s okay that I’m not who you want me to be. I can only kiss you sweetly, I can’t desire you in the same carnal way she does, no matter how much I want to. And there’s no way you want to waste time teaching me how to not be dumb and innocent.”
Jinyoung frowns, just as pretty as his smile is. “I do, YN. I do, more than you can know. I want to take you on dates and kiss you on the beach. I want to have coffee in the morning with you. I just want to hold you. And I love it when you’re innocent and sweet.”
“But that girl–”
“Screw that girl!” You flinch a little at his volume and Jinyoung pauses, taking a deep breath to calm himself. “We were drunk, and I was just missing you a little too much. It was a mistake. I should’ve have tried to run from my problems. I– when you called me, I should’ve dropped everything and gone to find you, but I didn’t. I didn’t want to let myself want you. But I do.”
You breathe in sharply through your nose. “I don’t want to make you change…” you start to protest carefully, although your resolve is breaking by the second.
Jinyoung shakes his head, leaning in so his face is mere breaths away from yours. “I want to change, YN. So please, let me.”
“I–” Against your better judgement, you look him in the eyes, noticing the shaking wateriness of them. “Okay.”
The tension in Jinyoung’s face pinches before finally dissipating, easing the lines in the skin. “Okay,” he copies you. “Okay. YN, can I kiss you?”
His question comes so suddenly, you swear your heart stopped beating for a moment. You barely get a yes out before Jinyoung’s lips capture yours again. And if you thought your first kiss was sweet, this is a million times sweeter. His hands find their way to the small of your back this time and push you closer to him, your arms naturally finding their way around his lithe shoulders. The movement makes the kiss deepen as his mouth presses eagerly against yours.
“I missed you,” he hums against your lips and you sigh happily.
“Must’ve been hard, benign away from me for a whole five days,” you can’t help but tease and Jinyoung groans good-naturedly.
“Man, you’re so mean to me. What happened to being all nice and innocent?” With a smile, you shove your face into Jinyoung’s neck. Jinyoung bends down to press a kiss to your temple. “Come on, let’s get out of here. I think we’re long overdue a talk.”
You sigh. “We are.”

Things that made him run to you
Tumblr media
[part 1]
[part 2]
“Jinyoung, for fuck’s sake, can you concentrate please?”
No, he couldn’t. Ever since he saw you a couple nights ago, you were living in his head rent-free. He didn’t tell the others – didn’t want to – as he wanted to keep you private for now. Only his to enjoy.
He bumped into you at a local bar, after downing a couple of beers with his acquaintances. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw you. You were still as beautiful as ever but something about you was different. Something about you changed and he couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was.
You casually chatted for a while, hitting it off as if nothing had ever happened between the two of you. As you updated him on the recent events in your life he mustered you with hawk-eyes. You were radiant, almost beaming. Your pretty eyes sparkled like diamonds. You smiled whole-heartedly, the smile even reaching your eyes. You spoke your mind confidently, not caring about the opinions of others. He finally figured it out – your whole demeanor had changed. You were on another vibe, another energy that he was drawn to like a moth to the flame.
He stopped listening altogether and only thought about getting you back. He had to have you; he was desperate for you. Seeing you like that – confident, bossy, savage – was beyond attractive.
And you knew. You noticed his pupils dilating, him taking sharper breaths, his dark eyes being glued to your lips – you noticed and loved every second of it.
This man right here broke your heart when he abandoned you back then.
Or so you thought. It took you some time to see the truth of it all, but eventually you did and from that moment on you had nothing but appreciation for him. Because of Jinyoung you were able to be real with yourself. You took his words to heart and worked on yourself. You started loving yourself like you deserve to be loved. Did you imagine it was him in the beginning? Most definitely. But after a while you understood that you were good on your own. You made it into a project, you started loving yourself as a means to get him back but surprisingly you fell in love with yourself for real.
Now you looked into the mirror and loved what you saw. Now you felt happy and content, even if no man was around. Now, you felt like the baddest bitch on this planet. And other people? They thought so, too. They saw the changes in you, sensed the new energy you were embodying and acted accordingly.
Jinyoung wasn’t the only lover you bumped into. Old flames, new flames, they were all lining up the street to be with you. Oh, how your life had changed. Now, they all wanted to be with you. Courting you, spoiling you, making you their #1 priority. And for the first time in your life, you understood why.
“You seem different, y/n.” You looked up into his eyes, almost smitten by his enticing looks. You smiled at him, warmly, before taking his hands into yours.
“I feel different, Jinyoung. And you are the one I have to thank!” He couldn’t follow; his questioning eyes giving him away. “You wanna thank me? If anything, I thought you’d wanna punch me for breaking up with you.”
You laughed out loud, realizing how much you had missed him. “Well, I wanted to… in the beginning. But I realized that you were right. I was a total wreck back then. I relied on you to make me happy and loved and important and stuff but being your emotional slave was no way to live. So, I took your words to heart, and I started to work on myself.” You squeezed his hands, relieved to finally say that out loud. “Thank you, Jinyoung. Thank you for opening my eyes. That heartbreak changed me for the better and I can now say that I love myself. All of me – the good, the bad, the ugly. I made peace with myself, and I feel like I’m ready for love. True love!”
Jinyoung replayed that scene over and over. Back then he wished for this outcome, but he never would have anticipated it coming true. You had changed and he could tell. It irked him that every other man could also tell – they were eyeing you like prey.
He couldn’t blame them though. You were the sexiest woman in this bar, capturing every man’s attention without even trying. Why would you try though? You were so full of love and admiration for yourself, every other pair of eyes was simply a luxury. A preference, not a necessity. Now it was Jinyoung squeezing your hands: “Ready for love, huh? Should we give it another try then?”
“Everybody, let’s take a break. And Jinyoung, you better get your act together!” His manager was pissed, but he couldn’t care less.
He grabbed his phone hastily and sighed in dismay as he noticed that you hadn’t text him back. “Why won’t she answer?”, he mumbled silently. And then you did. He almost dropped his phone from excitement as he saw your name pop up. Heart beating faster he beamed with joy as you agreed to see him.
“I’m gonna make you mine again y/n, just wait and see.”

"Do you like Y/N?” Seunghun said with a smirk on his face looking at Yonghee. A red blush view falls upon his expression as you look to him awaiting his answer. You feel as if you've been choked when he screws his face in disgust and shakes his head. "Fuck you," you scoff giggling as you flip him off, despite knowing that it felt like he practically kicked you in the stomach right now.
You had a crush on Kim Yonghee for the last three years. The only one who knew this was Byounggon. You had confided in him that you wanted more then the friendship Yonghee was offering. Byounggon had reassured you that Yonghee wouldn't push you away. He was suspicious he also liked you and that had led to the very truth or dare game you were currently playing. "Dare," you said when it came your turn, you feared for a question that would lead to double rejection tonight. "I dare you to snog Byounggon," Semi giggled as both yours and your childhood friend’s eyes widened in fear. Before you could question the dare, Byounggon crawled on all fours towards you. His hands resting upon your shoulder reassuringly. Lips falling to yours he made sure to put on a show. Letting his tongue slide against yours as he kissed you slowly. His fingers rubbing down your jawline in such a tender moment. "You two sure you're not hiding something?" Dohee whistled excitedly. But before you could deny anything you noticed Yonghee unclench his fist. Was he jealous? Did it disturb him you kissing Byounggon? The game continues for several more rounds when it came to your turn again. Yeonjeong was about to throw a dare when Seunghun ended the game. "My neighbours are complaining," he said shaking his phone into the view. "I think we should leave this for another day," he said with a slight grimace as the room grumbled. "How you getting home?" Byounggon asked suggestively as you tilted your head his way. "I can't drive you home I’ve been drinking," he said despite knowing he had only drank one drink during the evening. "I'm getting a taxi. I only live round the corner, I’ll drop her back," Jinyoung said throwing his arm around your neck. Byounggon breathed deeply with annoyance. You then realised he was trying to encourage Yonghee who was sober all night to give you a ride. "I'll look after your girl I promise," Jinyoung giggled tipsy at his elder. "A kiss don't equal lovers," Byounggon protested as you took one look to Yonghee. He was quiet and avoided your eye contact. You couldn't help but feel he was jealous of Byounggon and Jinyoung.
"7 minutes in heaven," Chaesol said in excitement when you met the following week for drinks. Everyone agrees but you and Yonghee. You knew that these games were hurting the both of you. As everyone wrote down their names and placed them in a hat. You sat hoping that somehow you would be placed with Yonghee. Instead Hyunsuk was paired with you. His hands frisky falling on your body as he pulled you to the walk in wardrobe in Seunghun’s room. "I so want to get lost in your body," he said stroking his hand down your torso. "I don't think I can do this," you complained as he lightly hummed. "Because you like Yonghee," he said. As through the cracks of the wardrobe you could see a gentle smile. "Yes," you whispered looking down. Fingers under your chin he pointed for you to look his way. "He's so stubborn he won't admit he likes you too," he said as you tilted your head his direction. "He likes me?" You asked as he chuckled. "But he won't admit it," Hyunsuk chuckles lightly. "Why?" You ask wanting to know more. "Ask Seunghun he knows the details, he confides in everything with him." Hyunsuk said as his hands pulled the loose hair behind your ear. You could hear the countdown as you both stumbled out the wardrobe. Your faces hot from the heat. But you guess the room would have made presumptions of how steamy it was in there. You could see Yonghee’s jaw tighten as your eyes met. "I've got to go," Yonghee said sternly as he got off the floor. "Please don't leave so soon," you asked looking his way. But he refused eye contact. "Sorry Seunghun, my father needs me to run some errands," he said straightening his jacket. You couldn't help but follow as you chased him down the corridor. "Yonghee," you called as he stiffened upon your voice. "I'm busy Y/N what is it that you want," he growled without looking your way. "Can we talk," you pleaded as he started walking once more. "I'm busy, another day," he grumbled before fastening his speed as you stood there, giving up chasing him.
The following week another greet. Seunghun was struggling for ideas clearly till Byounggon mentioned the Suck and blow game. This time Seunghun made sure that you were placed between him and Yonghee. You were placed in a group with Jiwon and Byounggon. As Jinyoung, Hyunsuk was with Hyeonju, Jenny & Semi. You watched as Byounggon sucked in the piece of paper between his lips as he arched towards Jiwon. Hands falling to the back of her head he leaned himself in as the two worked to pass it. Jiwon twisted to look at Seunghun as he chuckled. Straightening his face, he rushed his lips at her. Seunghun struggled and all of a sudden you saw the sheet fall to the floor. Byounggon and Jiwon groaned at Seunghun who looked sheepish. Your eyes looked to the other group. Semi gently slapping Jinyoung was telling you that their side was doing no better. You could hear Yonghee’s frustration behind you when Seunghun let the paper fall once more. "Come on we're not going to win at this rate," you grumbled gently punching Seunghun’s arm as he looked at you sheepishly rubbing it. When he managed to succeed, his face spun to yours. As he pulled the sheet to your lips he chuckled letting it slip as your lips locked. "Seunghun," you grumbled feeling your lips where his fell. Seunghun's face was a little fallen when he took the figure behind, telling you once again Yonghee wasn't amused. As the paper made its way back down. Seunghun’s hand accidentally touched your breast while reaching for your arm. Causing your own lips to let the paper fall. "For fuck sake will you two stop making out and hurry up so we can win," Yonghee grumbled behind you which had you sigh. The game was a lot harder then it looked. After yours and Seunghun's third attempt you turned to face Yonghee. It was like just the thought of him being on the other side of the paper made your heartache. Instantly your lips failed to suck the paper in as it fell before Yonghee could even get close. His eyes rolled in frustration as you quietly apologised. Passing to him for the second time, just the mere hand on your shoulder had your heart thundering as he reached towards you. The paper once more fell to the floor. "You guys just pure suck at this. You should give up. We've won," Jinyoung said amused. "For fuck sake, if you and Seunghun wasn't flirting we would have won that," Yonghee said gritting his teeth as Seunghun dead panned him back. "What the actual hell man," Seunghun grumbled back at him. "I'm done with these silly drinking sessions," Yonghee said going to swipe his coat from the coat rack.
"Don't please, please don't go," you spun towards him hands on his chest as he refused to look your way. "Don't let me get in the way of your men time," he growls looking up towards you. "The only man time I want is with you," you spluttered letting the words fall as the girls gasped. "Kim Yonghee I'm crazy about you and you only," you finished as his face softened towards you. "I only kissed Byounggon because it was a game," you said pausing to look your friend's way. "We're just friends I promise," you said as nerves hit you. "Jinyoung just took me home that's all nothing happened," you added as Jinyoung confirmed your events. "Hyunsuk and I just spoke in there. Mostly about how you liked me but your scared," you said pointing to the wardrobe. "I'm not scared," Yonghee spat out. "And Seunghun is just really shit at that game, pure and simple," you said as Seunghun widened his eyes in horror before calming as the guys chuckled. "To be fair she's got a point," he added chirpy at his diss. "And just now with you you made me so anxious. The butterflies in my stomach you gave me at the thought of our lips being close," you said placing your hand over your stomach to calm it. "Yonghee....." you couldn't finish the sentence as he dragged you to the walk in wardrobe.
Entering the dark space he pushed you against the wall. He clearly doesn't want to talk as his lips attack yours. Teeth clashing in his rushed desire. Like a bottle that's been shook and exploded. His hands find the hair tie holding your hair as he pulls it out. Fingers twirling around the locks he pulls enough to expose your neck. Teeth falling to the skin he suckles causing you to hiss as your hands grab his waist. "Your mine," he growls before pressing his lips to another spot on your collarbone. "I'm going to mark you up so everyone knows your mine," he threatens after he marks a second blemish. Hands falling to your dress he lowers the top half so that his lips can reach the top of your breasts. He continues his marking along them as you hiss, digging your nails into his waist. "I'm going to punish you for making me jealous," he growls as you hear the guys spew, 'eww,' , 'Save my ears,' & 'Do this elsewhere," from the other side of the wall. Twisting you so you're facing the surface, he places your hands against the plasterboard. Hands raking up your dress they find your panties, as he rips them. Fingers skirting to your folds he wastes no time plunging them in. Scissoring your heat roughly you grimace as he sets a rushed pace. Though pain is the first sensation you feel it's like your body enjoys his torture. Yonghee can feel this from how soaked your core is. "Your so wet my little whore," he says as his teeth find another space of skin on the back of your neck to mark. "You can't cum," he warns as his fingers speeds that draws moans. Music hits from outside the wardrobe, no doubt to drown out the moans that had slipped from your lips. He pulls his fingers leaving you empty as he places them in your mouth. "Taste how wet you are you dirty bitch," he growls in your ears that has your walls clench around nothing. "I'm going to fuck you now, and if you cum before I give permission. That's it, I'm walking away from you do you understand?” he asks so deeply next to your ear. Nodding doesn't give him satisfaction. "What did I say Y/N?” he grumbles as his teeth dig in your skin once more. "That if I want you I have to not cum," you hiss beneath the sore skin burning from his marks. You hear a rip of foil and you wait patiently for him to continue his torture.
Bending you over slightly he enters you with one deep fast thrust. Screams falling that you know the music won't mask. "That's it baby, you won't ever get me jealous again will you?” he asks as his hands wrap your hair around them. "I can't hear you," he spits out as he yanks your hair. "No baby, I won't," you splutter but you know he can't hear. Another yank has you repeat it much louder. His red hot shaft starts thrusting with heaviness against your cervix. Walls clenching around him has his pull much harsher around your hair. "Don't you dare cum," he demands as you help to meet his thrust. "You're so hungry for my cock aren't you my little whore," he chuckles pleased with your desperation to feel him deeper. Feeling an orgasm creep up you stiffen in fear. "What's up baby," he sniggers knowing your struggling. "Don't hold back, fuck yourself on me," he demands but you don't move. "What's up, you're such a cock whore you can't work with me without falling apart," he mocks as you nod. "Well let me work against your lazy ass," he says slapping your ass that has you yelp. Slamming him self with more speed has your fist clench against your struggle. You know the real risk of falling apart and exploding around him is high right now. "Please, please," you cry as you slap the wall feeling your body tremble. "You can't Kiss Byounggon and Seunghun and think you can get away with it," he grumbles as you whimper. "I didn't kiss Seunghun, not on purpose," you whimper as you throw your head from frustration into the wall hurting as it falls. Hands falling to your arms he pulls you backwards to avoid your head hitting the wall. However, the change of position does little to ease your struggle. Tears are falling down your eyes as you feel your losing your mind holding your orgasm back. "Who do you belong to?" He pants into your ear. "You," you whimper as his hands embrace your body pulling you closer to him. "What's my name?" He growls as you hear his own struggle in his voice. "Kim Yonghee, I belong to Kim Yonghee," you cry as you feel seconds away from slipping. "Please, please I can't hold back, I don't want to lose you," you sob in fear and excitement. "Oh Baby, you won't lose me because your mine now," he chuckles as his lips kiss a tear running down your face. "You can cum baby," he pants as he chases his high. "Y/N your mine," he cry's as he spills himself into the condom. "Yonghee," you scream so loud you hear your ears ring as you explode around him. Convulsing on his dick he thrusts his remaining rhythm into you as he leans himself with his arms wrapped around you into the wall.
Heavy panting in your ear you feel him slip from you. "Your mine Y/N, don't forget that," he says barely audible. "No more of these silly kissing games," he demands as you twist in his hold to face him. "Why would I kiss anyone that isn't my boyfriend?" You question looking up at his face. Even in the slight gap of light his beautiful mole under his left eye in your view left you breathless. "Let's go show them what's mine," he said as his lips fall to yours. Holding your hand in his you both walk into the room as you capture everyone blushes, but Seunghun and Byounggon smirks. "Finally you two are sorted, now never torture us again with those sounds," Seunghun snaps as you both blush like crazy.

boyfriend jinyoung
Tumblr media
pairing: jinyoung x reader
requested: yes prompt- ‘boyfriend jinyoung as a bulletpoint scenario’
words: 330
masterlist
boyfriend jinyoung would include:
didn’t realise he was crushing on you until you had a date w someone else... cue jealous jinyoung
when he asked you out he was very nervous, stuttering over his words. it was so endearing you let him out of his misery and said yes
your first date was perfect, he took you on a stroll around your local park and then took you to the cafe he knew you loved.
dates w him are the cutest and minimal, trips to the museums, trips to the cafe, spontaneous dates to the beach. whenever you spent time with him, you slowly let yourself fall in love with every bit of him.
instantly knows when something’s wrong. knows how to make you feel better with your favourite ice cream and your favourite movie.
there’s nights where his insecurities get the better of him, you hold him tight whilst he tells you what’s on his mind. you promise to always be there for him and you’ll love him no matter what.
biggest FLIRT ever
‘y/n’
‘hmm?’
‘you know what would look good on me?’
‘wha’
‘you’
cue a blush erupting on your face and jinyoung teasing you even more
petty fights, stupid things are said to one another but the next day there’s soft apologies muttered and sweet i love you’s, peppering each other’s faces with kisses and cuddling.
often talks about you a lot to his friends, cue seunghun, hyunsuk, byounggon and yonghee being tired of listening to jinyoung rant abt ‘how pretty y/n’s eyes are, how breathtaking their smile is’ for the 100th time
loves to spoil you with random gifts. you’ll find flowers adorning your room every other day, you’ll find your favourite food in your kitchen after a super long day.
never fails to tell you how much he loves you every night whilst cuddling you.
you wouldn’t wish for a better boyfriend than jinyoung.

Tumblr media
“You’re always so full of yourself!” Although loud, your voice was barely different from a whine. The school corridor became an arena fast, numerous students gathering around in a circle to witness the sudden commotion.
A weak finger strongly pushed against Jinyoung’s firm chest, almost creating an indent. It was a well-known fact that the two of you weren’t on the best of terms. Being the school’s best students, you were constantly playing a game of cat and dog with rotational roles.
That day, during one of the school’s debates, you were paired up with Jinyoung and fortunately given a pretty familiar topic. Just because of that, your team had a greater advantage and was a step ahead of the others. Of course, knowing just the right things to say and how to explain all of your arguments, you were ready to once again prove just who the top student was.
Only if it wasn’t for Jinyoung who didn’t let you breathe properly, let alone have a say in the debate.
The professor didn’t comment on it. She seemed to forget about your presence, completely captivated by the boy’s calculated words. He could only smirk and continue parading his neverending knowledge.
“Do you really think you’re that good? Just because the professors are head over heels for you, doesn’t mean you can exclude me like that!” Another confrontation was sent his way, and it was possible to hear gasps coming from all around the hall. There were tens of angered faces around you and it was obvious that all of Jinyoung’s female fans wanted to tear you apart.
Still, the male didn’t budge and only let the annoyance down by itself. Maybe he would’ve done something to calm it down if the emotion reached your eyes. If it managed to overtake your irises and prove just how much the situation affected you. For a certain reason, that never happened.
“Next time you want to flaunt your fancy words, spare me the hassle of having to show up” Without a goodbye, you turned around and walked through the thick barricade of students towards the school exit. Some followed behind, but none were given attention.
Jinyoung shrugged his shoulders, took a step back and walked towards the exit on the other side. Girls swarmed him in a matter of seconds, pulling on his school uniform, offering empty encouragements and praising him for the ‘mature’ reaction. Occasionally, they’d call you names, thinking that Jinyoung would love them more if they had the same enemy. The boy could only frown at that.
Tumblr media
You walked slowly, listening to the ending of your favorite song while turning right on another corner. Taking a glance back, you made sure that no students were trailing behind for whatever reason. Once the coast was deemed clear, you stepped forward and opened the door of the black Audi parked on the sidewalk.
“Next time you want to flaunt your fancy words, spare me the hassle of having to show up” Once inside, Jinyoung parroted your previous words in a high pitched tone. The male wasn’t trying to mock, rather playfully tease.
You threw the heavy schoolbag back, immediately relaxing into the leather seat and fixing your gaze on the other. Jinyoung looked very different in this setting, much less formal, but much more attractive. The boy’s tie was loosened and the first two buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned. Jinyoung threw one hand over the steering wheel, while the other rested comfortably on the gearshift.
It didn’t stay there for long though, for it moved to linger on your thigh, rubbing the covered skin with his soft fingers.
“You know, I was really upset” The voice used didn’t suit the words you replied with. Crossing arms over your chest, you pouted and looked outside the window, trying to fake the smallest bits of hurt. Jinyoung’s hand didn’t move from the previous position.
“I’m sorry, baby, I won’t do it again” The male whispered, leaning in and cocking his head to the side in an attempt of getting your attention. Fortunately for him, it wasn’t possible to not pay attention to someone as breathtaking. Your eyes immediately moved to follow his next movement.
“But I can’t deny that you looked extremely hot all worked up like that” At the unexpected remark, you slapped the boy’s arm, cheeks suddenly turning the brightest shade of red. Allowing the fluster to show, you giggled and smiled at Jinyoung, whose smirk grew wide.
Out of nowhere, he leaned in again and pressed his lips against yours. Jinyoung held the back of your neck, deepening the kiss only up until he felt you getting desperate. Then, the male pulled back, face lingering just a few inches away from yours. It was a hopeless attempt to try and chase after, steal another one of the sweet kisses because Jinyoung was fast to retreat.
“Should I treat you dinner to make up for today?” He whispered, the smirk never once leaving those beautiful features. Your head shook in disagreement, eyes sparkling with a way too familiar glow.
“You don’t have to treat me dinner. Just kiss me again”
And so he did. Although this time Jinyoung helped you move from the passenger seat to a much more comfortable one - his lap. The boy’s hands were all over the place, your face, shoulders, back, thighs, grabbing and caressing every piece of skin available. It would’ve been an understatement to say that you loved every second of it.

Ranking
Rankings
Summary: you always came second place to Bae Jinyoung but when that changed you started to understand the boy you had labelled your rival.
Characters: Bae Jinyoung x reader
Genre: enemies to lovers / high school au / angst / fluff
Tumblr media
A/N: Requested by @baej1nyoung. I actually really enjoyed this story. It went a little darker than I initially planned, but I think it came together really well. This story is based around the high achievers in school and their struggles with their rankings in life. I hope it’s enjoyable to read!
Word count: 2717
Tumblr media
Second place, again.
It never changed, no matter how much work you put in, you could never beat him.
All the money your parents spent on extra tutoring was a waste and every tactic you tried to improve your intellect was pointless.
There was just no beating Bae Jinyoung, no matter how much you tried to.
If he had been graceful in being first place in school each time, perhaps you would appreciate his own efforts. But that smug smile he showcased as he paraded around campus made you scrunch your hands up in frustration.
You hated him.
You disliked how easy studying came to him. Math was like second nature to him, English was a breeze from studying abroad and Science went well with his methodical mannerisms. Everything was too easy for him and so difficult for you.
But it wasn’t as if you could simply give up. Whilst you didn’t initially care for your place in school, your parents did. Jinyoung’s family was in your neighbourhood and they were known as the most affluent. Your parents had worked too hard all their lives to be subordinate to others. The mere idea of Bae Jinyoung beating you in school was enough to send your mother to bed with a thumping headache. It wasn’t something you could easily dismiss.
So you tried harder. You went to extra classes after school. You had a private tutor. You spent your weekends stuck in your bedroom studying instead of out socialising.
And still with all your sacrifices you were never first.
It became more than just your parents’ desire to beat him, but your personal goal.
You had attempted to befriend your rival but he had little interest in doing so, soon dismissing any attempts you had as merely a tactic to take his position. And whilst he wasn’t exactly wrong, you had hoped together you could become a force to be reckoned with.
Instead, he was the one who actively sought you out after the grades went up on the school notice board, his eyes connecting with yours in a way that could only be described as victorious. He was winning month after month and you were losing.
You wanted to beat him so bad and rub his face in your winnings triumphantly just once.
At night you often fantasised about his face scrunching up in horror when his name wasn’t next to the first place. You would giggle uncontrollably, perhaps from the delirium caused by lack of sleep as you studied late into the night. You envisioned his face crumbling and his eyes watering a little at not being the best at everything whilst you finally were. It was the perfect fuel to keep reading through your calculus textbook and not crawl into bed.
But the reality of every day was that Bae Jinyoung ruled the school. He had the girls fawning over him, boys wanting to be him and teachers wrapped around his fingers. The only one looking horrified was you.
Tumblr media
You weren’t ready for the change though, and you walked up to the notice boards slowly, chanting inwardly all the good luck spells you had been doing all week long as you waited for your results to be in.
There was a lot more noise surrounding the lists than usual and you attempted to block everyone out, scrolling the first page from the bottom up, your eyes widening when your name wasn’t next to the second place. Going back to the bottom and scanning it more carefully, you panicked when you didn’t find your name. Why wasn’t it there? You hadn’t seen Jinyoung’s either and it made no sense with the first place spot clearly being his, that your name was missing. Finally, you glanced up and froze, blinking once before staring at what it said.
First place: Bae Jinyoung and Y/N.
How was this possible? Was a tie even achievable in a school ranking? Had you scored exactly the same across every subject? It had to be an error; you couldn’t share the spot with him.
You felt eyes upon you and spun around, Jinyoung glaring at you from across the foyer. You had wanted to wipe the smug smile off his face for so long now and it was finally missing as he stared at you, but it didn’t elicit any sense of happiness within you.
This was much worse than coming second to him now.
He beckoned you over to him and for the moment you pondered over whether you should approach him or not, the impatient boy stepped through the crowds and grabbed onto your lower arm, dragging you out of the hoards of students and then let you go.
“What did you do?”
“Uhhh.”
“This is impossible; you cannot come first, let alone with me.”
It made you smile watching him seem so dishevelled despite your own anger from the situation.
“Come with me, we have to clear up this mistake immediately and put you back where you belong,” he demanded and you flinched with the sting of his words, your gaze darkening the longer you stared at him.
“What if you’re wrong? What if it’s not a mistake, Jinyoung?” you asked and he scoffed, walking off towards the teachers’ office. You followed along, wondering why you were so enticed to be in his company.
You normally avoided him like the plague.
It felt exciting though, watching his hands ball up into fists and then unclench over and over as you walked the short distance. His cheeks were flushed with his fury and you were soon grinning at how worked up he was. Jinyoung glanced at you thunderously and you instantly bite back your amusement, only to resume when he looked away.
“Ah, it’s the stars of the month,” the vice-principal announced as you entered the office and you bowed politely at the man now smiling at you both. “It’s a first in our school’s history to have two people in the same place.”
“It’s got to be a mistake, surely, Mr Choi?” Jinyoung practically begged and you snorted, dodging the glare the boy sent you a moment later. “Shouldn’t you calculate it again?”
“We did it five times,” the man announced, clasping his hands together and nodded. “Amazing, isn’t it?”
“It sure is!” you mentioned with a beam and the man chuckled.
“In fact, it’s more of a triumph for you Y/N, not Jinyoung this month. Congratulations on your hard efforts.”
You had never thought victory could taste as sweet as it did in that moment.
Tumblr media
Jinyoung was soon harassing you endlessly. He swapped desks to sit next to you in class, was suddenly in your after school classes, and your tutor even mentioned he had another student to teach now too. Bae Jinyoung infiltrated every part of your day just to keep an eye on you.
If you hadn’t of been so elated by his apparent discomfort in sharing your title, you would have been frustrated by his close proximity.
Leaving the classroom to go to the library, you soon realised someone was at your side and groaned. Jinyoung didn’t look at you but coughed lightly. “Where are you going?”
“The bathroom,” you lied, smiling up at him innocently. “Want to follow me in there as well?”
“Funny.”
“I think so too, all this attention you’re giving me is very humorous.”
Jinyoung snorted. “Don’t think of it like that, I’m just watching you.”
“Trying to figure out how I’m going to steal your spot away from you again?”
He didn’t respond and you sighed dramatically, diving into the closest girls’ bathroom once you crossed paths with it. You glanced behind you to make sure he didn’t follow you in, a strange disappointment within your chest at the fact that he hadn’t. You glanced at yourself in the mirror before you washed your hands, tilting your head when you heard voices outside.
“Oh, Jinyoung-oppa, what are you doing here?”
“I’m waiting for someone.”
“Really, I didn’t know you had any friends that would need to enter a girls’ bathroom. Are you dating someone?”
He didn’t answer and you pouted at the reflection of yourself in the mirror. Deciding you better get to the library with or without Jinyoung, you went to the exit and he stood up straight from the wall he had been leaning on, silently joining your side and leaving the girl behind staring after you both.
Tumblr media
Rumours started around school that were difficult to bear. Some said you were both dating, others claimed you had seduced him into letting him slip up enough to share the top spot. Regardless, they were offensive and even Jinyoung was evidently annoyed by them.
Not enough to stop following you though.
You wanted him to for both of your sakes so the rumours would die down but he didn’t stop joining you within everything you did. And when questioned about it, he didn’t deny the rumours fervently like you were. It made you seem like a liar and you were done with it.
When you arrived on campus the next day, you spotted Jinyoung up ahead with some of his friends and narrowed your eyes on him. You were still furious from dealing with your parents the night beforehand, that it was time that you spoke to the person making your life more difficult.
“Bae Jinyoung!” you called out once in an acceptable distance and the tall boy turned around to look at you, his eyes connecting with yours for only a moment. You huffed indignantly. “We need to talk.”
“Best go spend some more time with your girlfriend,” a friend joked and you growled at him, making him stop his lazy chuckling and dart away with the others leaving you now alone with Jinyoung.
“What is it?” he asked, his tone flat. It surprised you a little but you were too preoccupied with holding onto your anger to let it become anything to question.
“You need to clear this up immediately. We’re not dating, we never have!”
“I never insinuated we were.”
“You’ve never denied it either!” you exclaimed and Jinyoung merely diverted his gaze. “My parents heard about it from one of the Mum’s of a student in our class and now they’re acting like I didn’t earn my spot fairly! I worked too hard for this!”
“I don’t care right now, Y/N. Go cry to someone else.”
You grabbed at his lower arm and yanked on him when he tried to escape, Jinyoung letting out a yelp of pain. Your eyes widened, you hadn’t pulled hard enough to warrant such a response. You almost thought he was playing you until he stared at you again, looking fragile. You blinked, he was so invincible before.
Now he just looked like a frightened little boy.
“I didn’t–”
“Don’t worry,” he cut in, walking away from you quickly.
Tumblr media
Two days passed and Jinyoung had stopped being around you altogether. The gossiping changed, now he had broken up with you. It wasn’t a relief though because you were worried about him. He barely focused in class and he missed the extracurricular classes after school too. You couldn’t help but recognise the stark difference in how he was in school. From afar you had thought he was well loved by everyone. Now up close, he appeared lonely. Had he always been that way? Even when people surrounded him, was it because of him or his status? You were questioning a lot of things lately.
You found Jinyoung in the library at lunchtime, huddled up in a corner on a bean bag, his headphones on and blocking the out world. Reaching down, you tapped at his shoulder, the boy shrinking away from your touch so fast and hissing in pain.
You knew something was wrong now.
The confidence surged within you and without a second’s thought, you pulled at his school shirt a little, Jinyoung’s shock allowing you the chance to see if he was injured. You saw enough red swollen skin before he yanked away, to know what had happened to him.
“I wasn’t the only one punished,” you murmured, and he gazed up at you silently, swallowing slowly.
“Don’t stress, it’s nothing new.”
You wanted to pry but you didn’t know if you had the right to so you simply sat down beside him, holding back your thoughts. He didn’t question your company, in fact, it surprised you when he leaned into you, resting his head on the side of yours.
It was a moment of comfort, relating with one another over the consequences of your school ranking and rumours.
Each day for the rest of the week you met in the library, sometimes studying, other times just listening to music and resting against each other. It was strangely natural when he reached to hold your hand and you let him hold it every day from there on out. He seemed to find some resolve to return to his studies now with you at his side, and you were overwhelmed by emotions you had never expected to hold for the boy. Friendship grew between you easily over that week, finding that you had a lot in common from music tastes to hobbies. Not to mention, the pressures from your parents was something you both shared, though you never brought up his shoulder, no matter how much you wanted to.
And by the time the new month rolled around and the rankings went up, you were amazed to not feel as anxious as usual. You approached the board to find Jinyoung scrutinising it quietly, and instead of working from the bottom up, you went straight to the top.
Your name was there.
Alone this time because underneath it in second place was Jinyoung’s.
After all this time you had finally gotten what you wanted. But unlike your fantasies, it didn’t feel victorious.
Glancing at Jinyoung, he caught your eye and smiled at you in such a way that almost knocked you off your feet. He seemed happy that you had beaten him. Even if your friendship had been growing steadily, you hadn’t expected the relief in his eyes or the genuinely pleased expression on his face.
Walking over to his side, you frowned. “Is this a reaction that’s going to follow a mental breakdown?”
“No, I’m just really happy for you,” he said too easily and then hugged you.
You were certain your heart stopped then. He didn’t let you go even when other students pointed out that you were embracing one another and talking began about dating again. Your hands slowly moved up to his waist and wrapped around him, a shy blush building upon your face as you buried into him.
“Should we stop?” he murmured and you surprised yourself by shaking your head. He chuckled. “Everyone’s staring.”
“You never denied that we weren’t dating before,” you told him pointedly and he laughed again.
“And we are now?”
“I came first today, shouldn’t I be rewarded with this?” you asked, finally lifting your head up to look at him.
Jinyoung swiftly brushed his lips over yours, a blush rising on his cheeks as soon as he moved back. “Isn’t that a better reward?”
You were finally first place. Whilst you were going to enjoy the month of being in the spot, you knew that next month Jinyoung would be back on fine form and be back where he belonged. Or maybe you would share it again. To be honest, you didn’t really care anymore.
Of course, you’d have to finally speak up to your parents. You hoped that Jinyoung would be able to face his and ask for their expectations to ease off. You knew you’d support him with it as much as you could.
It was odd to think over a month ago you considered the boy who was now pulling you outside with his hand linked in yours as the enemy. So much had happened and yet there was so much more to explore too.
Like how you suddenly had a boyfriend. And the inside of his mouth too.
But there was one thing you knew that you wouldn’t stress over anymore. Your rank in life wasn’t defined by how well you did, but how well you lived.

fade | bae jinyoung
Tumblr media
As much as she support him, she just couldn’t let go of the fact that he created space between the two of them. The friendship which was blossoming like flowers in spring quickly replaced with emptiness and vacancy. But the thing is, did he feel it too? Or was he fine with it?
Characters: Bae Jinyoung x nameless OC Genre: Angst Words count: 1.213
The bus stop somehow felt really empty.
The small place was actually crowded with kids wearing the same uniform as her, talking among each other and joking around. But she came alone. She was the only one among her friends who had to take the bus to go home, so she had no company. Her foot was tapping the ground silently, getting impatient.
She didn’t mind being alone, really. But she hated to hear the gossip girls in the back talking nonsense. She used to have someone to go home together with, someone who lived literally two houses away from her. Someone who had been going home together with her for years. Someone who would stop halfway to have a friendly ice cream date together. Someone who could keep her entertained despite the gossip girls. Someone who probably had forgotten about her in such a short period of time.
“She’s the one?” she once heard one of the girls asked the other.
“What the heck? Yes, she is. We always see her together with Jinyoung in the bus, why did you just realize?”
“Yeah, I used to wonder if they were dating. But now I wonder why he dropped her. I mean, whenever we see him at school, he’s never with her anymore. He hangs out with their friends but it’s just ... the two of them seemed awkward.”
“Maybe he just doesn’t hang out with girls nowadays.”
“But they were so close! He doesn’t have girls friends anyway, it’s just her. But he goes home with his car these days and see? She still takes the bus!”
"I’m not so curious because I think he probably met prettier girls and thought that she was not his style.”
Shut up. What do you know? She fought the urge to snap at the irritating noise. She was also suprised at how they noticed a lot of details about them. Maybe, she was just mad because they were talking about the truth that she had been trying to avoid the whole time.
She barely even see him these days, but whenever he went to school and they met, Jinyoung was never the person she used to know. Sure, he was still Bae Jinyoung, the student who has a pretty face and beautiful smile, but he wasn’t the Bae Jinyoung whom she felt comfortable with.
It’s not like he dodged her completely, but she felt like he was slowly fading away. They talked at school, not as much as they used to because it’s somehow felt awkward. They joked around, but everything felt really stiff. He felt like a stranger. Everyone could see that there were spaces between the two of them, like a great wall which part them from each other.
He was then Wanna One’s Bae Jinyoung.
She saw him on TV, she listened to his voice on loop, couldn’t deny the fact that she was badly missing him. She felt sad. Everything seemed like yesterday. She was happy, they were happy when Jinyoung told her that he was going to a survival show which would be a chance for him to make his dream come true. It felt like yesterday when she called him up and congratulated him for finally made it. And it was somehow her last call.
He never picked up after that.
“You’re debuting!”
“Yeah,” Jinyoung said, and she could feel him smiling although they were separated by distance. “You’ve supported me a lot. I can’t ever thank you enough.”
“What do you mean? You did a really great job, you deserve this. I’m happy to see you finally get on stage. Oh my god, I honestly can’t believe that it was you.”
“You’re starting to sound like my aunt. Shut up.”
“Okay okay! So ... I won’t be seeing you much after this?”
“You will,” he said, making her confused. “On TV! Hahaha!”
“Yah! Of course, dummy. I mean, at school or somewhere else ... but not on TV.”
There was silence. They both knew the answer, but it was just too hard to talk about.
“Probably not,” he finally said. “But I’ll go to school when I have the chance to. I feel sorry for you if you don’t survive because you haven’t seen me in a long time.”
“You wish. I won’t be like that.”
He promised to go to school, which he did. But it’s just ... she didn’t know anymore. She felt like she didn’t have the right to complain. She was probably just a small piece in his life, which wouldn’t matter if she didn’t exist. It hurt, but it was probably the truth.
She missed him a lot. They were just friends because he lived two houses away. But he rarely even in the house nowadays. They got close in the bus, before finally deciding to just go home together. The long walk and the bus ride they’d gone through for years together didn’t seem that long. But these days, it was eternity for her.
She looked through her gallery, finding a lot of pictures they had taken together. She missed him. A lot. Jinyoung somehow felt really close, yet out of reach. He was just one call away, but she knew he wouldn’t pick up.
The number you’re calling is not answering. Please try again later.
She was right.
It’s okay, she tried to convince herself. He was happy. He’s living his dream. I’ll probably just be something which hold him back. It’s okay. At least he’s happy now, and that’s all I need to care about.
“Jinyoung-ah, this rang just now,” Minhyun handed Jinyoung his phone.
Jinyoung took it from the older guy’s hand, checking the caller ID right away, and froze for a second after he noticed.
“Are you okay?” Minhyun asked, seeing Jinyoung’s reaction after he saw what was written on the small screen.
He quickly nodded, pretending it was nothing and focusing on the television in front of them. His heart was pounding against his chest, and his mind couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Why would she call?
“Who’s Her?” Minhyun finally asked after also checking the called ID, clearly not convinced by the nod Jinyoung gave him earlier.
His mind was spinning really fast, trying to find an excuse. He tried to push her away, but he just couldn’t. The memories of them kept replaying back, and he couldn’t accept the fact that he would be the one hurting her if he keep pushing her away. But he couldn’t go on and act like he normally was. He couldn’t take the risk.
He couldn’t take the risk of falling for her and not being able to hold her in his arms. He couldn’t let his feelings got him and hurt him in the end. Maybe he would even end up hurting both of them.
Jinyoung let them fade. He let them disappear. He shouldn’t push her away too much, time would. Yes, he missed her, but he just couldn’t go on like he usually does. Maybe he should just let go and act like nothing happened when he could finally feel that they were falling apart.
“Someone I need to let go of,” Jinyoung said, trying to look as if he was fine.
When actually, he wasn’t.

summary: having the rarest blood between humans, vampires would gladly kill you to have a taste of it, but oddly, one vampire wouldn’t.
vampire series: Park Jihoon | Park Woojin | Lai Guanlin | Bae Jinyoung
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 (completed)
As a blood bank nurse, it was your job to manage the blood bank services, such as collecting blood from donors and passing the blood to patients via blood transfusion. You’re also responsible for storing the blood in the blood storage. So, it stressed you out when you found you’re short of one pack of blood every time you counted them at morning of the next week - you did a stock count weekly to make sure you had enough inventory until the next stock count.
You were really pissed off with this blood thief. Whoever it was, they made people think you did a bad job at counting because the number of the actual blood packs in the storage didn’t match the number of the blood packs in your database. No one ever thought of the possibility of blood thief. Whenever you stated it was a thief’s doing, your co-workers always laughed it off and said why would you steal a blood pack.
You had enough with the teasing and mocking. It might sound stupid and rash, but you wanted to prove to your co-workers that there really was a thief. The first thing you did was checking the blood storage’s CCTV for the whole week last week and you found nothing. You assumed they must know the CCTV’s blind spot.
Refusing to give up, you chose the other option: catching the thief red-handed. This plan might seem a bit dangerous, but you thought that someone who stole a blood pack might not be that dangerous. And they only stole one pack of blood when they could have stolen the whole stock. So, they were certainly not that bad. However, thief was still a thief.
You were so determined to catch the thief that you even thought of sleeping in the hospital’s blood storage for a week to catch them off guard while they thought you weren’t there. You didn’t know which day they stole it and since you’ve tried to do a stock count each day before, you discovered that they didn’t have specific schedule; the day the blood pack disappeared always different each week. That’s why, you planned to hide in the storage for one whole week.
And one night, you caught the thief in the act.
It was probably ten at night when you heard someone entering from the window. You got goosebumps all over your body as you remembered you were currently at the fifth floor of the building and you shuddered as you wondered how a person could climb the tall building so quietly and fast like that - you hadn’t noticed at all that there was someone climbing the building until they went through the window.
Peeking from behind the shelf, you tried to take a better look of the potential blood thief. You had turned off all the lights in the storage room so they would think there’s no one there and let their guard down.
You gasped, nearly shrieking loudly in terror, the moment you caught sight of the thief’s eyes. They were blood red and they were glowing in the dark; eyes of vampires.
Vampires. You heard about them from the news that there were a few victims around the town suspected that they were killed by vampires. But you’d never met them in person so you’d never thought they were real.
When you realized you’d gasped out loud, you covered your mouth with your hands to not let the vampire hear you breathe, knowing it’s totally useless.
In a split second, the vampire was already in front of you, his red eyes staring at you. You were too shocked to even scream, so you just stared back at him in absolute fear. But your hand managed to fumble around for a light switch and turn it on.
What stood before you was probably the most beautiful creature you’d ever seen. His beauty was so breathtaking and mindblowing that you forgot for a second that he fed on your blood.
“Why are you here?” he asked you, looking perplexed instead of scary, much to your surprise.
“Uh…” You gulped nervously as the words stuck in your throat. “Because you’ve been stealing blood packs?”
You mentally slapped yourself after you realized what you said out loud. You must have been so nervous that the words came out uninentionally rude and straightforward. It sounded incredibly offending and offending a vampire wasn’t really a good idea. Moreover, when you’re alone in a room with the said vampire. You thought you were done for.
Before you could apologize, he beat you to it, catching you off guard, “You knew? I’m sorry, I’ll steal from different hospital.”
Widening your eyes in shock, you were completely taken by surprise. “What? Why are you apologizing?”
The vampire raised a brow, puzzled. “Because you caught me stealing blood packs?”
“No, no,” you said, still thunderstruck. “I mean, you won’t kill me?”
It was probably the sight you never thought you would see. The vampire was chuckling and shaking his head, saying, “No way, I was a human too before, you know. I can’t stand the idea of killing humans.”
You sighed in relief, finally lowering your guard down. This vampire didn’t seem like a bad vampire. Actually, you now didn’t feel uncomfortable around him. You sat down on the floor and tapped the floor next to you, inviting him to sit with you. Oddly, you were curious about him. You wanted to know more about him. Hell, this might be the only time you got to meet a nice vampire and you didn’t want to let the opportunity go down the drain.
The vampire hesitated for a while, but ended up sitting down anyway. After the two of you seated side by side, you introduced yourself, “I’m Y/N. What’s yours?”
“Bae Jinyoung.” Jinyoung gave you a confused look. “What are you doing? Aren’t you scared of me?”
You shrugged and offered a small smile. “I don’t think a vampire who apologizes after stealing and avoids killing people is scary.”
“You’ve got a point.” Jinyoung returned your smile and once again, you’re mesmerized by his beautiful face. He looked even more gorgeous when he’s smiling.
“God, why are you so handsome?” you blurted out unconsciously. Covering your face with your hands when you felt your cheeks burn from embarrassment, you quickly said, “Please pretend you didn’t hear that.”
Jinyoung laughed and then explained matter-of-factly,“ You see, vampires are predators and humans are their preys. This look,” he pointed at his own face, “is to attract preys, or in another word, humans. So of course you’ll find this look attractive.” He chuckled again in amusement and continued, “But thanks, I’ll take that as a compliment.”
You turned your head to look at Jinyoung. Not only that he seemed like a nice vampire, he’s also very friendly and easy to talk to. You wondered how a vampire like him could exist. How could he restrain himself from not sucking your blood the moment he saw you? Weren’t vampires supposed to have low self-control when it came to blood?
“Are you comfortable sitting beside me?” You reworded your question when you found it ambiguous, “I mean, you can smell my blood, right? Doesn’t that make you hungry?”
“Of course it does.” His words sent chills down your spine and you’re preparing yourself to die when he continued, “You smell good, like really good. Your blood, I mean. You have the sweetest blood smell among all the humans I’ve encountered since I turned into a vampire. And I’m dying to know how it tastes like. Your blood must be really delicious.”
Jinyoung must have noticed you cowering in fear at his remarks because he then added, “Don’t worry. I can perfectly control myself. I’ve been drinking animal’s blood since I changed, so human’s blood smell didn’t affect me that much anymore. Until lately, after I’ve found out another way to drink human’s blood without killing anyone.”
“Stealing from blood banks?” you provided the answer.
Jinyoung nodded. “At first I planned to just steal once to know how it tastes like. But after tasting it, I realized how delicious it was and I couldn’t stop myself to feed on human’s blood each week.”
You felt bad for Jinyoung after listening to his story, so you grabbed the nearest blood pack and gave it to him. “Here, have this. Stop torturing yourself.”
You knew Jinyoung must be suffering at the moment because of your blood smell. Like he said, he lately had started feeding on human’s blood, which naturally meant human’s blood smell had also started to affect him. He must have been resisting himself from attacking you with all his might since earlier.
“I can have it?” Jinyoung looked at you in disbelief. “I thought you came here to prevent me from stealing.”
“It’s not stealing if I give it to you,” you said, smiling and shoving the blood pack to him. “You’re free to come here every week. I’ll give you blood packs.”
Jinyoung rejected your offer. “You don’t have to. I’m sure you’re troubled because of me. I’ll just steal from other blood banks.”
You couldn’t believe it yourself, but you had to admit that you liked talking with Jinyoung and you wanted to have more talking session like today in the future too. You wanted to get to know him better. And that’s why you tried hard to convince him to come to your hospital weekly. Even if that meant you would have to endure being mocked by your co-workers because of what they thought as miscalculation.
“Don’t steal from other blood banks.” You explained, slightly looking desperate, “Who knows if someday they’ll urgently need more blood and they’re not prepared because they don’t know you’ll steal it? It’s different if it’s me. I know you’ll be coming, so I’ll prepare an extra blood pack.”
“You’re right,” Jinyoung said with a smile.
This time, Jinyoung seemed convinced with your reasoning and you let out a sigh of relief. You never knew the day would come when you wanted a vampire visiting you. You must be out of your mind.
“Then I’ll come by every Saturday night, is that okay with you?” Jinyoung asked.
Saturday night was not your work shift, but you were willing to do that much to meet Jinyoung.
That was the start of your secret meeting with Jinyoung every Saturday night at the blood bank. Eventually, you’d become really close with each other, sharing all your problems and thoughts. It wasn’t long until you realized you’d developed feelings towards him. You knew that a relationship between a human and a vampire would never work. He lived forever while you only had a short life compared to him. The only way for this to work was that you turned yourself into a vampire. But that was out of the question because you didn’t want to intentionally change into something you’re not.
So you decided to never let Jinyoung know about your feelings. As long as you could meet him every week and spend time with him, it was enough for you.
However, your resolution crumbled down as you felt Jinyoung showing his affection to you. It made you hope that he also had the same feelings as you. You started to think that you two might have a chance to work it out. You thought it’s not right to just give up before you even tried.
“Jinyoung,” you called Jinyoung’s name one Saturday night.
Jinyoung was sitting down on the floor, leaning against the wall, with you leaning against his chest. His arms were enveloping you in an embrace. His embrace felt really cold, but you didn’t mind at all and somehow, it made you comfortable. You’d had a lot of skinship with him lately that it felt natural. It’s what made you think you had a chance with him.
“What is it, Y/N?” Jinyoung asked, his chin resting on your shoulder.
“What do you think about being in a relationship with a human?” Your voice was so low it barely passed as a whisper. But since vampires had sharper hearing skill than humans, Jinyoung could hear it just fine.
Jinyoung turned you around so you faced him. “What are you talking about, Y/N?”
You took a deep breath. It was now or never. “Because I’m in love with you, Jinyoung.”
Jinyoung immediately let go of his hold on you as if you had an infectious disease. “No, Y/N. You can’t be in love with me. This is a mistake. I’m a vampire and you’re a human.”
Reaching for his shoulder, you tried to convince him. “We can make this work somehow, Jinyoung. As long as we have each other. I know you have feelings for me too.”
Jinyoung slapped away your hand coldly and got to his feet. “You’re wrong. This will never work and I don’t have feelings for you.”
And with that, Jinyoung disappeared from your view and never came to the hospital again.
To be continued.

Losers
context: best friend! hyunsuk has had a developing crush on best friend! g.n. reader for quite some time, but terrified of confessing to them (featuring close friends! cix)
word count: 2.0k
warnings: fluff, just both clueless, making out at one point, some arguing but not too descriptive so i guess a tad bit of angst ?
a/n: clueless love struck hyunsuk </3 so cute ! i am in no way saying this is how any of them would act in the situation with reader x jinyoung (especially jinyoung), this is all fiction and in no way real.
—————-
everyone at the dorms absolutely adored you- they thought of you as their secret sixth member who laid low and kept them company most days. they’d even refer to you as a sibling of theirs (mainly byounggon and yonghee). but out of everyone, you were closest to hyunsuk. both of you were inseparable to be honest- always cuddling during movie nights and on facetime when not together. the other four would always tease about you two getting together eventually, but it’s been a good two years and nothing even remotely close has happened between you two to that extent.
something of that extent would have happened if hyunsuk wasn’t so terrified of making a move. everytime you even look at him it causes his heart to race; don’t even get him started when you fall asleep with your head on his shoulder because he could go on for hours. he liked everything about you, both inside and out. and everyone knew it too, except you of course. when it came to you, you were oblivious.
you liked hyunsuk at first, but as months turned into two years right before your eyes you decided to let your feelings subside. you figured he didn’t feel the same so you decided to attempt to move on. you would go on occasional dates, nothing too serious, but none of them started working out once you realized you had feelings for someone else besides hyunsuk as well. they only started around two months ago, but they were growing at a rapid pace. you had no clue how it happened, but here you were in the dorms. alone. with said person.
hyunsuk had been out running errands, making sure to be back in time before you had gotten there. he even picked up some of your favorites from the convenience store down the street, loving the excitement in your face when you were surprised by little things such as buying your favorite things out of the blue. but his excitement exited his body as he entered the living room of the dorm to find you sitting in the lap of his other member, lips moving together hungrily as your hands tangled themselves in his hair and his hands held your waist.
he felt his heart shatter. all the members knew of his feelings for you, especially jinyoung. but here he was, shoving his tongue down the throat of the person he felt himself gradually falling in love with. he made his way out of the room quietly, neither of you hearing him enter. he dragged his feet towards his shared room with yonghee, opening the door to see his roommate sitting up on his iPad. when he noticed you enter in a sulking manner, his attention shifted from his current math problem he was attempting to solve to the sad maknae.
“hey, what’s wrong?” yonghee asked, setting his iPad down on the nightstand beside him. he shifted his body to have his legs hanging off the side of the bed, resting his elbows on his thighs as he leaned forward to listen better.
hyunsuk put the bag of your goodies on his bed, sitting beside it and playing with the plastic bag. “i didn’t know y/n and jinyoung were a thing.”
yonghee’s eyes widened, tilting his head to the side. “what do you mean they’re a ‘thing’?”
hyunsuk pointed towards the door before ripping open the bag and taking out a drink he bought for you, debating if he should drink it or not touch it and just give it to you later. “they’re out there making out on the couch.”
and with that, the older member stormed out of the room and down the hall to talk to jinyoung. hyunsuk didn’t bother to listen in when the voices got bigger, even when his name was mentioned. he just stared down in the bag of the goodies, eventually picking it up and stuffing it into an empty nightstand drawer. for now, he just wanted to lay in his bed and forget everything. he would put it all away later.
when yonghee interrupted your heated make out session with jinyoung, you were confused as to why he was pissed off. that was until he said something you never thought you’d hear.
“you know hyunsuk likes them, why would you do that to him?” was all yonghee said to have your mind scrambling.
you had no clue how hyunsuk felt whatsoever. again, as previously stated, you were oblivious to that fact. you sat there, listening for a few more moments before deciding to get up and storm off to hyunsuk and yonghee’s room. when yonghee said your best friend walked in on you both, you knew he would be in his room. after all, where else would he be?
you didn’t even knock, just entered and watched as he sat up from his bed with his sad eyes meeting yours. you just sighed, walking over to his bed and sitting at the far end corner. he just watched you in silence, not sure of what to say. he didn’t really have a reason to be mad at you, really. he was more upset at his group mate and himself if anything.
“why didn’t you tell me how you felt, hyunsuk?” you questioned, not breaking eye contact with him for a second. you weren’t sure how to feel at this point- you had a million thoughts in your head.
“i was scared you wouldn’t feel the same.”
“for two years?” he nodded, causing a sigh to escape your lips once more. “i liked you too, you should’ve said something sooner.”
“past tense?”
you nodded, looking down at your hands and fiddling with your fingers. “i figured if you liked me you would’ve said something. so i tried to move on. then i got closer with jinyoung and- yeah.”
he shrugged, still looking at you. “i get it. i mean, it’s jinyoung.”
you chuckled, shaking your head. “no, hyunsuk. don’t. you don’t get it. don’t think lowly of yourself because of this- because of me.”
you stood up, not wanting to look at him as you started walking towards the door to exit his room. ”i, i still really like you but after this i don’t know how to feel. i wish i would’ve known sooner. i’m sorry.”
and with that, you walked out of his room and the dorm as yonghee and jinyoung both argued back and forth in the living room with byounggon trying to calm everything down. no one paid attention to you as you left, too immersed in everything that was happening.
days, weeks, and months passed by without a word from you. you hadn’t reached out to anyone, too embarrassed of the situation. you made out with jinyoung while his best friend had a massive crush on you, and you were too blind to even notice it.
for a few days, everything was bitter between the two. after a week, everyone else forced them to sit down and talk it out like adults. and they did. apologies were spilled and hugs were exchanged. they both agreed to not allow anyone to come between them, especially over romantic interests. after that, everyone messaged in the group chat you were in with them hoping you’d respond. but as weeks went on and you hadn’t responded, they became more concerned than anything. they all missed you, especially hyunsuk. but there wasn’t much for them to do if you weren’t responding since they didn’t want to push it. all they could do was text you occasionally and hope for some type of response.
months passed, and nothing. that was until one brisk october night when hyunsuk went for a nightly walk by himself. you had been on his mind all day, even more than normal. so he figured he take a small stroll through the park you both met at- coincidentally three years ago today. it was almost eleven at night, the sounds of crickets filling the night air.
the pale moonlight kept you company as you swung weakly back and forth on the swing, your head leaning against the chains. you were missing hyunsuk and the rest of the boys a lot more than normal, but you were too scared to text them. what if they hated you? or wanted nothing to do with you? you knew that wasn’t the case, but your thoughts held you back.
when hyunsuk saw you from a distance, he felt his legs dragging him towards you. he had no idea what he was going to say, if he was going to say anything at all. but he just had to see you up close in a better atmosphere than the previous one. even if it was potentially going to be for the last time.
you looked up as you heard someone approaching, the last person you expected to see be yoon hyunsuk. your breath caught in your throat, unsure of what to say to him. you both stared at each other as he sat in the empty swing next to you. for a while, you both just swung back and forth in silence. up until he spoke up.
“i missed you.” hyunsuk confessed, kicking his feet back and forth in the dirt.
you nodded, scared to talk. so for a few moments you just sat there not saying anything, until the guilt took over you and you decided to speak up. “i missed you too. i just feel, embarrassed about everything. almost like it’s my fault.”
hyunsuk took this opportunity to look at you and reach over to place his hand on top of yours in your lap, careful to not push any boundaries he made sure to hover his hand above yours. when you reached up to grab his hand, that’s when he knew it was okay to do so. he started rubbing circles into the back of your hand before speaking again. “nothing is your fault at all. you didn’t know of my feelings for you, i should’ve said something before. i just thought you didn’t feel the same and i was terrified of losing what we had if you didn’t.”
you let out a dry laugh, looking up to meet his eyes. they held hope yet sadness at the same time, and all you wanted to do was hold him in your arms. “suk, i’ve had feelings for you for the last two or so years. i just didn’t think you felt the same way either so i tried going on dates to forget you and even convinced myself of having a crush on jinyoung to forget my feelings for you. but it didn’t work and, as fuck up as this sounds, i was imagining you the whole time.”
hyunsuk couldn’t hold back his laughter, causing you to let out a hearty laugh as well. as he threw his head back, you just stared at him with admiration. you’ve missed this, all of this. his laughter, his smile, everything under the sun. this time, you were going to make sure not to let him go.
“no one is mad at you; in fact we all miss you. me more though, of course.” he stood up, interlacing his fingers with yours and tugging on your arm ever so gently. “come on, let’s go on our first date.”
you stood up as well, following behind him in confusion. “what if i don’t want to?” you joked, a playful smile tugging at your lips.
he looked back at you and rolled his eyes, letting out a soft chuckle afterwards. “we’re both losers who are hopelessly falling for each other, i don’t think you’d say no.” he pulled you up to his side, bringing your hand to his lips and planting a soft kiss on the back of it. “unless you don’t want to, of course. i won’t force you.”
you shook your head, a smile never leaving your face as your cheeks heated up. “this loser would love to go on this long awaited date with you.”

masterlist
a/n: ok i tried. this is my first time writing angst and this is my first jinyoung fic. yikes it’s so angsty, next one is defo gonna be fluffy i promise. as always stay safe and happy reading <3.
-
you sat there on the park bench, one you’ve been visiting ever since you met your best friend and first love, jinyoung. the chilly autumn wind sent shivers, causing goosebumps all over your body. coming back to this park bench always felt bittersweet, almost like it would bring him back, but after all this time you knew it was all a fantasy.
the park bench held all of your firsts, your first (best) friend, your first love, your first boyfriend ... and your first heartbreak.
you involuntarily shivered as you remembered that day where your heart broke and the last words he ever said to you, you could never forget. you were so so in love with him and you were sure, you were certain that he also loved you. why would he ever say those words?
you didn’t realise you had started to cry as an old woman, taking a walk with her husband, had stopped and asked if you were okay. you offered her a weak smile and thanked her for her concerns and as she walked away, she turned back and sweetly said ‘everything will be okay, you’ll be okay.’ her words offered a sense of comfort and you offered her a smile, a genuine one this time.
the trees around you had been stripped of all their beautiful, green leaves yet they still had a sense of odd beauty to them. the leaves had turned from radiant greens and red to dusted brown and golden with hues of yellow in them, offering a slight radiancy. watching the leaves slowly make their last dance to earth, your mind wandered off to the first time jinyoung had said those three words, that had meant everything to you, and still do.
‘why did you wanna meet out in the park? it’s freezing outside!!’ you whined to your best friend jinyoung, as you wrapped your scarf closer to your chest.
he only chuckled in response, before adding ‘you’ll see. just wait.’ you could feel his excitement and also his nervousness radiate off him. what was he so excited yet so nervous to show you, or to tell you?
you got to the bench and you could practically feel the nervousness of jinyoung but before you could question why he was so nervous, he turned you around to the trees near you and the sight before you, took your breath away. fairy lights were delicately attached to the trees, a picnic basket with blankets folded neatly and a scrapbook, was placed next to it.
‘what? what is all of this?’ you whispered in to the coldness of the day. ‘did you do all of this?’
jinyoung’s face morphed into something of excitement, confidence with hints of fear. he took your hand and the butterflies in your stomach started fluttering. he sat you down on the blanket he had reached for and told you to open the scrapbook. you hesitantly opened it, your hands shaking. soon, your eyes brimmed with tears as you flicked through the pictures, pictures of you and jinyoung, all from one you first met until now. jinyoung took my hand into his and started to speak.
‘y/n, this is probably the hardest yet easiest thing i’ve done until now. you were my first love and you still are. yet i’ve never said anything, in fear that i’d ruin everything between us, lose our friendship, lose you. i guess what i want to say is that, i love you. i always have and i always will. i love everything about you, your smile, your laugh, your eyes, your kind and caring personality, your love for all things nature. if you say yes, will you be mine? i love you and it’s okay if you don’t love me romantically but i kinda have a feeling you do.’ his lips quirked up into a teasing smirk.
you felt yourself smile at the sweet memory, but the sweetness of the memory suddenly turned bitter as the memory of his last words resurfaced.
‘you can’t just do this jinyoung, you can’t just leave me without an explanation or anything.’ you managed to say between your sobs.
‘i don’t need to offer you an explanation, i just want to leave. so please let me leave.’ he replied harshly.
‘you need to tell me why you want to leave, you can’t just up and leave-’
jinyoung’s next words took your breath away, ‘i don’t love you anymore. is that a good enough explanation for you? i don’t love you.’ his voice was devoid of any emotion, his glare was sharp and icy cold. and just like that he left, taking the broken pieces of your heart with him.
your heart clenched, your eyes full with tears but you bit back any sobs. you couldn’t put yourself through this again, jinyoung didn’t deserve your tears. he didn’t deserve to know that after all the this time, it still affected you. you let out a sigh as you wiped your tears away and watched the sun slowly give up its throne in order for the moon to shine.
