#badlands tour: Houston

Apparently I offended people last night for saying I don't want to live in the Midwest.

What if I was offended thst you didn't want to live in the west around a bunch of glorious potention volcanoes?

I feel like I've seen enough of this country to know where I belong. I was born in Houston, Texas and spent weekends on my grandparent's farm in Central Texas. I spent summers in Oregon with my mom's family. I spent a year in Greensboro, NC, 12 years in Salt Lake City, Utah and 23 years in Oregon. I've been to all 50 states and crossed this country a dozen times on train, bus, zine and books tours in cars and ridden a bike through Ohio, Oregon, Washington, and California. I've seen Yellowstone, Redwoods, Grand Canyon, Badlands, swamps in the SW, the old Appalachians, the SW Deserts, both coasts and the Gulf.

I've even been to 5 Canadaian provinces, including spending two weeks in Saskatchewan where I learned that Fort Qu'appelle Valley isn't a recognizable mountain and Valley situation so much as a giant hole in the ground carved by a glacier.

I've spent time in most major US cities,and I wouldn't want to live in a big city either. I need mountains and green things to thrive. I know what landscapes make me feel safe and comfortable. I can only hope you can find that for yourself.

Itinéraire de mon voyage du mois de Juillet

Comme certains et certaines d’entre vous le savent déjà, je pars en voyage avec le Rotary Youth Exchange pendant le mois de juillet. 

Où est ce qu’on va aller ? Et bien... partout. En effet, on va voyager tout autour du continent américain en bus!!!!!! et pendant tout le mois!!!!

Comme je sais pas vraiment si je vais avoir la possibilité de poster durant le trip... voici mon itinéraire. Si jamais vous vous demandez où je suis haha.

Day 1 : 1er juillet 

On part à Washington DC. Au programme, le US Capitol et Embassy row. 

Day 2 : 2 juillet

Washington DC : Smithsonian musées, cimetière d’Arlington, temps libre au National Mall et tour de nuit de la ville. 

Day 3 : 3 juillet

On part pour Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Au programme, journée de voyage et Dixie Stampede.

Day 4 : 4 juillet 

Pigeon Forge, TN : Dollywood Park et concert et feu d’artifices pour le soir. 

Day 5 : 5 juillet 

On part à Memphis, TN. Au programme, tour de Graceland.

Day 6 : 6 juillet

On part à la Nouvelle Orléans en Louisiane. On va pique niquer ce jour là.

Day 7 : 7 juillet 

Le matin on va dans le quartier français de la Nouvelle Orléans et puis on voyage jusqu’à Galveston, Texas. Une fois là bas, on va à la plage !

Day 8 : 8 juillet

Galveston, TX : on va à la plage et on profite des attractions locales. Détente.

Day 9 : 9 juillet

On part à San Antonio, Texas. On va au Space center à Houston, the Alamo à San Antonio et on va au Riverwalk et on se détends

Day 10 : 10 juillet 

On part à Fort Stockton, Texas. On pique nique (encore). 

Day 11 : 11 juillet 

On part à Albuquerque, New Mexico et on va dans les cavernes Carlsbad. 

Day 12 : 12 juillet

On part à Flagstaff, Arizona. Le matin on visite Albuquerque. 

Day 13 : 13 juillet 

Flagstaff, Arizona : Grand Canyon national park. 

Day 14 : 14 juillet 

On part à Las Vegas et temps libre

Day 15 : 15 juillet 

On part à Anaheim, Californie. On va à Universal Studios et on va dans Hollywood.

Day 16 : 16 juillet

Toujours en Californie, on va à la plage, Newport beach.

Day 17 : 17 juillet 

On va à Disneyland park ou California Adventure Park 

Day 18 : 18 juillet 

On part à San Francisco

Day 19 : 19 juillet 

San Francisco : Golden Gate Bridge, temps libre au quartier des pécheurs, chinatown et puis le soir on a une croisière. 

Day 20 : 20 juillet 

On part à Reno Sparks. On visite le vieux Sacramento et puis temps libre à Reno Sparks. 

Day 21 : 21 juillet 

On part à Salt lake city, Utah.

Day 22 : 22 juillet 

On part à Jackson Hole, Wyoming. On va visiter Jackson hole, et on va voir un Western. 

Day 23 : 23 juillet

On part à Cody, Wyoming. On va à Yellowstone et Grand teton national park. 

Day 24 : 24 juillet 

Toujours à Cody, WY, on va faire du rafting et puis on va voir une comédie musicale avec un dîner. 

Day 25 : 25 juillet

On part à Keystone, Dakota du sud. On va voir le Mont Rushmore et crazy horse.

Day 26 : 26 juillet 

On part à Sioux Falls, Dakota du Sud; et on va à Badland National Park, et Wall drug store in Wall. 

Day 27 : 27 juillet

On va à St Paul, Minnesota et on va au Mall of America et à un parc d’attraction. 

Day 28 : 28 juillet

On part à Chicago, Illinois. On va dans la Willis Tower, Navy pier et temps libre dans Chicago.

Day 29 : 29 juillet 

On part à Cleveland. Le matin on se promène encore dans Chicago. 

Day 30 : 30 juillet

On part aux chutes du Niagara. On se promène là bas.

Day 31 : 31 juillet

On rentre à la maison. 

EN BREF. On a un groooooos voyage de prévu. Je vais essayer de poster des photos de temps en temps. Je promets rien car ce voyage promet d’être très très très fatiguant mais absolument fou...

LANY ya fueron sus teloneros en cuatro conciertos de la BADLANDS Tour (en San Diego, Phoenix, Houston y Dalas).
