anyway sorry i haven't been around here much - i've been busy with irl stuff! like dnd! i've been playing with some friends and it's been really fun so far :)
here's my character, badette:
Tumblr media
she's a barbarian tiefling who was raised by giants, and can, consequently, become a giant when she's in a rage! also she has wings and can fly. so imagine you're fighting something and then you see a flying, raging, giant pink tiefling about to attack you with her greataxe. i'd be terrified

2AM thoughts:
Will love find its way someday?
It's November 12 and a month from now, it will be officially the 12th year of me being single and I just realized—Will I be able to find the love that's for me?
Last week I asked my bestfriends if bagay ba sa akin may boyfriend as a joke. And their responses teared me up (well two of them, yung isa kasi g na g i-encourage ako mag jowa na).
So two of them basically said the same thing: I'm too independent to have a boyfriend kaya it will look weird if ever they'll see me being babied and taken care of by another human being. At the same time, they will be happy to witness the-miss-bitch-with-an-evil-attitude fall in love—all cringey and down bad.
I too would be happy to see me get sweep off my feet. I want to experience how it feels like to excitedly get up to someone's good morning messages, say 'I love you' before falling asleep, have someone make you a good cup of matcha latte to start your day, watch romcom movies while raining, ask you out on a random evening just to take photos in the city because that's what makes me feel better, read a book while curled up in bed, or go to concerts and sing our lungs out.
But what if, love isn't for me? What if I am so used to being alone and independent that everybody thinks I don't need anyone, anymore? What if, I am hard to love? What if they can't put up with my attitude? What if I exhaust them? What if I won't be able to live up to their expectations? What if they'll be disappointed when they found out that I am not the person they thought I am?
But scariest part is, what if I fall in so deep that when they decided to leave, I won't be able to put myself back together?

Vacation 2023
In August 2023, I planned to go on a short vacation to the Philippines by December, so the plan materialized.   As the days pass by, the excitement grows higher and higher. The night before my flight, it was the only time that I fixed my luggage with 20-kilo allowance. Filled with joy, I tried to wrap exciting gifts that my family would deeply adore. One of them is Ali Cafe, an instant…

“how would you live your life if you had your desire?”
Tumblr media
hello my baddies and badettes, here with another banger!
today i wanna touch upon this very popular sentence that we often hear in the LOASS/manifestation community:
how would you live your life if you had your desire?
it is often mentioned as like the main question someone would ask to help the other understand manifestation. although what does it really mean? i wanna share my perspective on this. because i see people kinda confused so i’ll try to make it short and understandable
Tumblr media
i think the confusion comes from the fact that the sentence gets taken very literally. i also feel like it’s not phrased exactly right to give you proper guidance.
my point is that; it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re supposed to play pretend in the 3D. like; putting a 2nd plate on the table (if you manifesting SP) or that you need to buy a ring for your future wedding with them and wear it daily while telling everyone else you’re engaged already. if that helps you get in the state and it’s a helpful tool for you; then BY ALL MEANS keep doing it! i’m not here to bash anyone, i just wanna clear things up for those who feel confused.
the proper questions here are;
who would you BE if you had your desire? what assumptions does the you who KNOWS they’re getting what they want embodies everyday?
cos manifestation is about BEING than DOING. you’ll get the answers as you make the decision to be the person for whom experiencing what they want is more than possible! i remind that there’s nothing you have to DO or TRY. manifestation isn’t a process!

god i love playing dungeons and dragons with my irl friends :) i never could get into roleplaying games online when it was just through chat, i think the cultural and time differences hindered me, but when i play offline it's soooo good and i have so much fun!! i love making my silly character decisions and rolling the silly dice hehe... i Get the hype now.....
anyway here's my character badette's final look!
Tumblr media
she's a barbarian but i am thinking about multi-classing her into a bard since she already knows how to play bagpipes. i have to talk to my dm about this but if anyone has a bardbarian let me know how it plays pls im so curious

Well, it's not the first, pero with Uge and Pokwang's prowess in acting, it makes it more entertaining. Lololol

I'm Filipino and lgbt films and roles arent even considered niche or indie here. I'm talking mainstream films that are meant for the average filipino viewer. Some of our biggest celebrities are queer and they play everything from side characters to the leading stars. It's been that way since at least the 90s. And the plots can get wild, like nothing I've ever seen in american media.
Die Beautiful (2016) - a tragicomedy about a gay drag queen who wants her corpse to look like a different celebrity every day of her wake
Becky and Badette (2023) - two bestfriends pretend to be a lesbian power couple for fame while competing to win over a man they both have a crush on. And then one of them confesses to actually liking her bestfriend.
"It's time we had queer media do X!"
Babe, I promise you it already exists. Queer media is already doing that. It came out this year. It came out 20 years ago. The only reason you're not aware of it is that queer media always has been mostly indie and people don't watch enough weird indie stuff.
If you only watch queer media made to appeal to a broadly average viewer, of course you're not going to see comedic gay sex, or drag club workplace comedy, or trans men grappling with their interpersonal relationships changing, or romcoms that reject amatanormativity, or 70+ year old lesbian road trips, or Muslim gay coming of age stories, or sham marriage comedies. But these are all in real films and shows.
What's not happening is average straight people paying attention to these wonderful pieces of media, the best films and shows you've ever seen, because they were not made for straight people. They don't talk to straight people, they don't let straight people in on the community jokes and commentary, and they deliberately do things to make straight people uncomfortable. They're more passionate and more messy.
And what you'll almost always get is found family. So if you love that trope there is an entire genre waiting for you to discover.
Off the top of my head that I've watched this year:
Comedic gay sex: Bros (2022), Spoiler Alert (2022), Smiley (2022).
Drag club workplace comedy: Smiley (2022).
Trans men grappling with their interpersonal relationships changing: Rūrangi (2020), Romeos (2011).
Romcoms that reject amatanormativity: Bros (2022), Chutney Popcorn (1999), Badhai Do (2022).
70+ year old lesbian road trips: Cloudburst (2011).
Muslim gay coming of age stories: Naz & Maalik (2016).
Sham marriage comedies: Badhai Do (2022).
