omg omg omg speaking of yandere! megumi....literally so obsessed with the idea of him having major attachment and abandonment issues due to yk,,, his circumstances yeah bro's got a rough childhood 🧍 and then there comes innocent little you (even better if you're his childhood best friend or something) who's shown nothing but warmth and tenderness to him all this time and he slowly descends into madness wanting to keep you his because you're the only constant in his life....and there comes all that guilt-tripping and manipulation just so that you'd stay by his side + giving you 'gifts' like teddy bears that contain hidden cameras just to make sure you're 24/7 safe and 'well-monitored'

Can I put forth a request to the world at large to stop saying "I fucked up" to mean "I made repeated conscious choices to do bad things"?

Because that's not fucking up. Fucking up is a spectrum from making an honest mistake, through making a negligent and irresponsible mistake, up to doing an isolated bad thing in the heat of the moment. That's it.

If you go beyond the end of that spectrum into choosing to do a bad thing in cold blood, choosing to do multiple bad things (in cold blood or otherwise), repeatedly indulging in impulsive bad behaviour "in the heat of the moment" (without taking any action to reduce the heat or learn to cope with it), or indeed, engaging in a consistent pattern of lying, cheating and screwing people over which only stops when you get caught... you did not "fuck up". And if you say you did, that's trying to wriggle out of taking the blame that is rightfully yours FOR YOUR OWN CHOICES.
