Everything I learned during the brief one week experience at your firm was incredibly insightful and helpful for my portfolio, resume, and career development. There are a lot of skills and areas I’ve realized I’m not proficient at and I will spend my remaining time at the BAC to gain proficiency and expertise in the industry standard programs (Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion) that matter most to any architecture firm.

As my time with Rafael Viñoly Architects comes to an end, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at the firm. Your guidance, support, and the experiences I’ve gained have been invaluable. Working alongside such talented individuals has truly inspired me and shaped my professional journey in meaningful ways.

Despite the professional setting, the friendliness and willingness to explain from PCA team members is what I am going to remember from this experience. All team members we had the chance to talk to, were so knowledgeable in their area of expertise. In all honesty, most of the time I did not quite understand what they were discussing but they were all more than understanding and willing to "break-it-down." I understand I am far from where I want to be in the field of architecture but this self-awareness makes me excited for the future. I see myself in the future earning as much confidence and expertise as the designers we spoke to have.

This week has been very constructive regarding my future career within architecture. I feel like I am more prepared to work in a firm and know what to expect on the day-to-day. I have also appreciated Isra Banks for her work in updating my resume and viewing my studio work to help me improve upon what I will send out to an employer. I am grateful to Gannett Fleming for hosting us this week and showing young professionals what it feels like to work in an architectural firm.

Many thanks to Perkins&Will Boston, Ryan Bateman, Ana Soterio, and Sergio Riccardi for hosting us this week at the firm! I am grateful to represent the BAC as a student and to experience a week at the firm in various sectors. I had a great time with my group members and mentors. I appreciate how much programming there was for us during our time, and how friendly everyone in the office was. People came up to us to say hi and introduce themselves throughout the week, and they made time to get to know us. It was such an unforgettable experience, for which I must also thank Beth Lundell Garver and Maria Sardiñas from the BAC Practice Department.
