tl;dr

yeahjaronlightupsketchers began as a silly little account that replied to @/aroaceacacia's screenshot of yeahjaron's minecraft character wearing boots named light up sketchers & @/aroaceacacia's art of planetlord, baconwaffles, and yeahjaron in which yeahjaron was wearing light up sketchers with "yeahjaronlightupsketchers approved"

my mutuals and i became aware of the account when it replied to @/jukeboxtea's post showing a picture of his dog with "yeahjaronlightupsketchers approved"

yeahjaronlightupsketchers then reblogged several pieces of yeahjaron fanart with "yeahjaronlightupsketchers approved"

several users began sending in asks to yeahjaronlightupsketchers, including "who are you," "what's your favorite color," "what are your pronouns (they/them, as far as we know; yeahjaronlightupsketchers hasn't said this but they have explicitly referred to themself with they/them pronouns)

certain users decided to begin flirting with yeahjaronlightupsketchers. yeahjaronlightupsketchers did not approve of this, expressing confusion and dissaproval.

yeahjaronlightupsketchers took away our ask priveleges

yeahjaronlightupsketchers made a post saying simply "yeahjaronlightupsketchers" and said that if it reached 100 notes they would not hesitate to deactivate

yeahjaronlightupsketchers began posting strange, cryptic messages, confusing everyone. they have since deleted these messages, but they are saved through reblogs on @lightupsketchersreblogs (not run by me, nor by the same person who's running yeahjaronlightupsketchers (as far as i know), just by someone who wanted yeahjaronlightupsketchers's posts saved) AND through screenshots on this post by yours truly

nothing happened all night until about half an hour ago, when they posted "v=szZEyLjkfZc," which is indeed a video link. it leads to this video, which contains an odd message saying to ignore any strange messages this account (referring to yeahjaronlightupsketchers) has posted + footage of someone running in the dark while breathing heavily
