I'm so normal about city pop. I'm such a normal city pop listener.
Tumblr media
[Id: an orange, fox-like creature superimposed over a blurred image of a city pop album cover. Its eyes are tearing up. It screams, "watashitachi wo shinjite ite", the lyrics to a song of the same name. It's hands are held out in front of itself as if pleading and/or manically explaining something.

Weren’t the Mikaelsons in Italy in the eleventh century? What if they ran into pre-crusades Nicky or smthn
BLESS you you BEAUTIFUL ANONYMOUS ANGEL
(this week has been exceedingly awful and I can’t sleep but I can talk Mikaelsons twelve ways to Sunday)
According to Nicolo’s fanlore page, he was first killed in 1099 only to awaken to immortality, wowza! According to the lovely movie timeline compilation here, Joe and Nicky are unaccounted for during the 1110′s (only ten to twenty years after their first deaths!) but for crossover purposes we could hilariously assume that they had some confusing run-ins with five angry mortal meatheads who seemed too buff to be human and possibly a Viking Dracula with a Cronus Complex.
Let’s assume, shall we! that through intentional tracking or blind fate, they are traveling the Italian countryside off the road, looking for a place to camp or bathe (or bone~ idk~~~).
Let’s assume that this happens sometime between a very upsetting evening in 1115 and 52 years, 4 months, 9 days later.
😏
minor spoilers ahead yeah i’m going there
*****
They had followed the low ground and the lush green for a long time before they began to hear the sound of water. Yusuf nodded towards it, reaching for the familiar brush of Nicolo’s shoulder as he changed course.
“NIK!” a woman’s voice screamed through the wood,  and startled birds took wing. Nicolo tensed under Yusuf’s hand, and with a short locked glance Yusuf knew this person was a stranger and that this stranger would not be ignored. “NIK! Do-”
They ran when the voice choked into silence.
The horror had been so close, but they were still too late.
Weapons drawn, Yusuf and Nicolo found a man with black-gold eyes snarling over a woman’s dead body. Her blood still flowed freely from the gore at her neck, but her eyes were sightless. The ground was too stained beneath her. The two immortals closed in on the demon with the twinned, brutal grace they had built blow by blow from rivalhood.
The thing was not human.
Too fast, too strong; unarmed, he charged at Nicolo. Yusuf’s blade struck deep in his side but still he advanced. “HUNTER” he spat in a dialect not unlike Nicolo’s own, and it was the last thing Nicolo heard before his vision went black.
“NICOLO!” “NIK!”
It all happened very, very quickly. The beast collapsed, wailing, foreign words on his tongue and Yusuf took his chance. Before his sword tested the creature’s reaction to beheading, a gold and bloody flash in the corner of his vision suddenly became a woman -- dead woman -- crushing his sword-arm with hands like iron hammers. “DO NOT fighting him!” she shrieked, accented so heavily he almost could not recognize the words Nicolo had been teaching him.
Tears welled at his eyes at the pain. He knelt where he stood and gripped his lover’s ankle with his good hand to say Wake up. I need you. Be careful.
The dead woman, whole and healed and alive, had black-red pooling in the corners of her own eyes. Her fine dress was dirty and blotted with colors he knew well. Old blood. Dry blood. Fresh blood. He forced himself to breathe as his bones cracked back into place.
The man with the glowing eyes and the fatal wound in his side was screaming, now, clawing at his own skin and babbling hunter within ravings of his own language. In some moments it seemed as though his skin would not contain him.
“We mean n-”
She cut him off with a hiss and a renewal of the darkness in her eyes. Yusuf’s mind slowly began to recall the campfire tales he’d been told in Europa, the way the people here already had an idea of what unkillable would entail.
With soft murmurs and gentle “Nik”s, the foreign woman crept behind the raving beast, and placed a hand on his torn collar. He stilled for a fraction of a breath, peace in his eyes turning them a striking human blue, but Yusuf saw a flash of fangs in the next instant, and in the instant following, the woman snapped his neck.
It was at that moment Nicolo began to stir. Yusuf wanted to laugh, it was like they were taking turns.
“Many sorries,” the woman whispered, desperate and sincere, “I am so hungry.”
She was biting his neck. Nicolo was awake and tackling her. “Wait!” Yusuf coughed, having guessed a good amount of what was about to happen, but Nicolo’s dagger was already in her heart.
She laughed.
Yusuf took Nicolo by the waist and pulled him away from the monsters and did not let go. She followed them with her eyes as a new blood stain decorated her shift. “What are you?” Nicolo gasped, touching the chain at his neck that bore his crucifix.
She pulled the dagger from her chest with a grimace, then cocked her head to the side as if straining to hear something. “Wait for good speaker, handsomes.”
Yusuf said the same basic question in as many languages as he could manage, to varying degrees of accuracy. Nicolo’s then added the Frankish version, and she interrupted him before he could try another.
“Ah! I am better with this one,” she was distracted, hauling the likely-not-dead-for-long killer’s body into her lap and gripping his arms behind his back. “So is Elijah.”
Another blur joined them, becoming a dark-haired man with manacles in his arms. His gaze was hawkish and cold as he caught sight of Yusuf and Nicolo, and Yusuf could not help but be reminded of Nicolo’s own way of glaring.
Yusuf told Nicolo what had happened while he was dead in Greek, while the woman spoke rapidly in her own tongue to the newcomer. The latter pair secured the manacles at the wrists and ankles of the dead man with grim and practiced tenderness. He woke, screaming, and with an animal howl he fought against them. The man who had brought the manacles embraced him, much like the woman had, and snapped his neck.
He then brushed the bracken from his hands and clothes, and stood to face Yusuf and Nicolo. “Hello, messieurs. My sister and I have many questions, and must return before he wakes. Please, join us.”
The blonde carried the chained man as if he weighed no more than an infant against her shoulder, and the strange siblings began to walk quickly -- slowly, for them -- through the trees.
When Yusuf and Nicolo did not follow, the woman scoffed. Her brother turned again, with a dangerous smile. “Are you afraid that we will kill you?”
Yusuf could not help it, the blood still roaring in his ears and the absurdity of it all bubbling laughter at his throat that he could not contain. Nicolo sighed. They were both terrified. They were both curious. They followed the three monsters to their lair.
*****
AND THEN I GUESS NICOLO TRIES TO DO AN EXORCISM ON KLAUS OR SOMETHING AND THE SIBS ARE SUPER JEALOUS THAT THESE TWO DON’T HAVE TO DRINK HUMAN BLOOD AND MAYBE KOL IS DRUNK SOMEWHERE IN THE BACKGROUND/COFFINATED WITH HIS BROTHER/LIVING IT UP IN CHINA IDK.
I am allowed to write Hunter’s Curse fic in this case because 1) it’s crossover so the inherent levity of the AU grants me certain diplomatic immunities 2) it’s not from a Mikaelson perspective who would do that I mean who would DO THAT @hairzier and 3) Take pity on me for anything not covered by the previous two because real life has been f*cking me over and this was delicious fun to write.

Joe Mazzello x Reader Wedding
Tumblr media
Prompt:  hiii so if youre looking for fluff ideas how about the reader being a nervous mess before her wedding to joe and lucy and rami there to help her get ready and at the same time we have joe who is also freaking out being consoled by allen gwil and ben // bri and rog can make a cameo maybe? also write the whole thing from her entrance into the chapel to joes reaction to their vows and first dance //dont have to do this dont worry just an idea i thought you might like?
Thank you so much @killerqueen-gunpowdergelatine this is the cutest thing!
You clamp your hands against the curves of your cheek, smudging your blush slightly down your jaw as you run your fingertips to the tip of your chin, much to tittering Lucy’s despair. Taking your cold, shaking hands gently in her slender ones, grabbing them tightly and shaking them slightly her great beaming smile waves past your vision, her blonde hair bobbing slightly in front of you as she wipes slight streaks of makeup off your chin. Gazing past her and back into the mirror, you feel goosebumps prickle on your arms and a faint shiver gurgle through your stomach as your reflection shines back at you light the light of an angel in the cold cottage room, your stunning lace white dress a dazzling contrast to the irregular stone wall behind you that your breath hitches for a second and your mind whirrs, before you suddenly remember where you are.
Patting down the pleats on your bodice, the rhinestones and soft pearls sewn on scratchy against your hands, you let out a tense shaking breath as sweet strains of classical music began to float through the heavy wooden door and you’re heart began to beat as fast as a snare drum as you turn back to look desperately at Lucy. ‘I-I-I can’t do this, Luc. What if I fall, what if he runs off, what if I-’
‘Love, love, love, please calm down’, Lucy chuckles, swishing to your side in her greenish-blue gown made of soft, satiny fabric, long and loose. You reach up, feeling something twitching slightly in the mirror before catching Rami’s amused gaze. ‘Don’t worry, y/n, if you feel like this just imagine how Mozzarella out there is feeling.’ You elbow Rami, chuckling sightly as his fixation drops from the butterfly clips holding up your falling bun to step back, hand reaching to his chest in an over dramatic gasp. ‘Haven’t lost that touch of Freddie, I see dear’, Lucy murmurs, one eyebrow raising as she shoots Rami a look of childish amusement as light chuckles erupt out of your chest. A quick three knocks on the door makes you whip around, nearly tripping over your veil as Brian sticks his head in, his hand grasping the door frame and the other reaching up to straighten his falling top hat before whispering, ‘wow, y/n, you look beautiful.’ You laugh nervously as Rami and Lucy shoot each other knowing looks. Pushing you forward slightly, you clutch the edges of your veil as Brian steps into the room, eyes beaming with pride as you interlink your arm with his, tugging you close before winking at you and murmuring, ‘Joe’s the luckiest man in the world.’
A pleasant spring breeze from rustles in the surrounding shrubs, cooling the guests and family members as they take their seats near the gazebo, the sweet chirping of birds that dance from branch to branch of the swaying oak trees as the glamorous hues of budding flowers stretch up towards the orange sunset blend into the background. Balloons and streamers fluttered around the railing and banisters, a festive mixture of pink, light blue, and whites whizzing around in the stray beams of light like soft clouds lead up to the groom himself, hopping nervously from foot to foot as his eyebrows furrow and every so often he looks around his shoulder desperately to see if you’ve arrived yet.
Allen steps forward, clamping his hands down around Joe’s shoulders as he winks and waves a slight hand at the minister, his sleek black shoes tapping slightly against the light wood as Gwilym, standing straight by his side and gazing out into the forming crowd whispers, ‘don’t worry, mate, Brian will get her here on time.’ Ben reaches out, the gold studded collars of his white suited arms firm and steady as his fingers wrap around Joe’s bowtie, his blonde hair whipping in the cool wind slightly as an amused grin spreads across his face and he tugs the bow tie back into place. ‘Yeah mate, plus Roger’s sitting on the front row and will gladly step up to the plate if y/n makes a no show.’
Scoffing slightly, a sly grin tugging slightly at the edges of his cheeks, Joe looks back to meet the winking eye of Roger, sitting next to the red carpet splayed on the grass in the front row, one hand rising in a thumb’s up as the other rests splayed on Brian’s seat. Joe’s heart starts to thunder so loud he fears the guests may run in fear, his chest constricting slightly and his hands starting to shake as they fiddle with the bottom button of his black suit jacket as the orchestra begins to bounce into life, the violinists raising their bows and the conductor raising his wand as he whips his head around to focus on Gwilym and Ben’s faces, faces of such awe and delight as they gaze down the petal covered aisle that Joe momentarily forgets to breathe.
The bundle of Calla Lilies you hold tight in your white knuckles shuffle slightly as you begin to walk down the aisle, the orchestra’s slow version of ‘Love of my Life’ fading into the back of your mind as your eyes start to blur up, fear and excitement and such violent love fizzing in the pit of your stomach you feel you might faint as you stare at Joe’s stiff back, his fingers rattling nervously behind your back that the only thing that keeps you moving is Brian’s strong grip, his fingers tight in yours as unknown tears silently stream down his face and drop onto his grey waistcoat.
Joe bounced back onto his heels, his heart pounding in his temples as he bit his lip gently, forcing back the brimming tears that brim hot and heavy, like silver dewdrops in the edges of his eyes, laughing breathlessly as Ben and Gwilym’s expression don’t falter once as they follow your light steps, the petals spinning under your dress as delicately as the wings of a butterfly, free and light in the the limitless sky. He can’t himself but turn his head hesitantly, his ginger curls brushing over his forehead as he catches your eye, and he swears for a moment his heart completely stops as time begins to slow. Despite the chill wind that whips his stray locks gently over the tip of his head, Joe’s breath becomes sucked away, his eyes glassing over as his mouth drops, gulping up and down in awe as he stares at you his arms falling to his side.
As his brain somehow manages to whirr back into life, the cogs beginning to tick again, he jolts out one hand, nearly punching Brian in the stomach much to a delighted Roger’s chuckling in the audience as your shivering hand wrap around his warm fingers, his jaw still slack and head tilted as a beaming smile spreads over his face, his dimples showing as his eyes become even more lost in your ones, reminding you of a shipwrecked man finally hugging their loved ones when they return home. As the fairy lights begin to twinkle into life, dancing inside their jars like little pockets of starlight dangling from the wooden beams of the gazebo ceiling, the setting sun casting an orange glow delicately in rays across your surprised face, Joe can’t help but wonder, as he plays with your engagement ring, how such a vision could ever really exist.

→ Chapters - [Prolouge]
She muttered incoherent curse words to herself, keeping herself quiet because she knew he’d be coming home soon. Warm, salty tears rolled down her plump, bright red cheeks as she gripped tightly onto the counter edge. With every silent sob, her body shook with absolute sadness and a pain so sharp she thought it was physical.
Moonlight flooded through the small window from the kitchen, the light reflecting off of her fallen tears.
The sound of keys jingling as the front door opened, she knew he had just come home. She was dreading this moment, yet her packed suitcase in the master bedroom reminded her why.
A voice called out, “Babe?”
Her grip tightened, causing her knuckles to turn white on the countertop, trying to hold onto it, thinking it would save her from the sorrow she had to keep to herself for days, yet she was barely keeping her grounded.
“Babe, where are you?” The husky voice of a man called out again, laced with concern and worry, the voice coming closer to the kitchen.
She smiled bitterly to herself.
It was fake, all of it. The smiles, laughs, and memories that they shared, the tears he shed when he confided in her, the happy memories they created together for the past two years of their lives, the love he had told her numerous times during sex, the love he held in his eyes every time she stared into them. He had faked everything.
“Babe, what’s wrong?” she could hear him not far away from her. He neared her, setting his jacket, phone, and keys down on the table that they’d always eat dinner at, food that she cooked because she wanted him to stay healthy and not eat junk food that would harm his body.
He wrapped his arms around her softly, sliding his hands over her hips, latching himself to her. He rested his head on his shoulder, having to bend down slightly because of the height difference.
“What happened?” he calmly whispered into her ear, wondering why she had been sobbing in the kitchen when she’d usually call or message him.
She stayed silent, sobs still making her body shake with sadness that had enveloped her whole body. Her legs felt weak, her knees wanting to give out, her arms not able to keep her stable against the counter as she held onto it.
He wiped her tears from her soft, small face, where tears had already dried. He could tell she had been crying for longer than he concluded: the thought alone made him frown.  Why had she not called him, or even texted him, to tell him why she was sobbing uncontrollably?
“Let go of me, Min Yoongi,” She whispered, having enough strength left to move his arms from around her body.
He stared at her with wide eyes and a shocked expression crossed his face. She never called him by his whole name, knowing he only liked when she called him ‘babe’ or ‘baby’ or sometimes even his stage name, Suga, because he loved how it rolled over her tongue.
He watched as she trudged her way to their shared bedroom. She closed the door behind her softly, wanting to be alone, to get rid of the tears her tear duct had harbored. She didn’t want to see the man who she had loved and trusted. She didn’t want to feel his presence because that would’ve made her feel more depressed, how he acted like he cared about her and loved her.
Yoongi followed her to the room, lightly opening the door to see her drag out a suitcase and stuff some of her clothes, electronics, and other necessities into it. He continued to look at her wide-eyed, not uttering a single word as he stared at her with the same shocked expression he had held in the kitchen.
“What are you doing, babe?” He was so confused that she would just start packing out of nowhere, hurt because she wouldn’t talk to him and that she refused his touch, and sad that she wanted to leave him without saying a word of what happened.
“Leaving,” she blatantly stated, trying her best to keep a level voice but to no avail, it didn’t work. Wiping her cheeks free of the newly fallen tears, yet it helped nothing as new ones started to blur her vision.
“L-Leaving? Why?” He stuttered. He could feel his heart separate into two pieces, not being able to move as you packed away the last few small items you would need before you could get the remainder of your things.
Yes, maybe Yoongi hadn’t been one to say ’I love you’, or been the type of the person that was always up to do something with her, since he would be composing songs, spending the time with his friends from his group, a dance practices, so he’d be tired a lot, but she said it was okay, that she knew how hard he worked and that she’d always support him.
She swiftly turned around, facing him with a look of pain, anger, and betrayal apparent in her eyes. Her face was covered in dried tear stains and new ones slipped off her cheeks, her face so pale it looked like she had just seen a ghost, wet tear spots scattered on the shirt she was wearing, his shirt that she’d always love wearing.
“Why? Why don’t you go ask that woman you went to for sex?” she lifted an eyebrow at him, her words laced with anger and hatred.
His face visibly paled, his mind was blank when he wanted to beg for her forgiveness, yet nothing came out. He had nothing to say because there was nothing to say.
He had never thought she would find out his darkest secret.
It had been a reoccurring thing that happened. He would tell her that he’d be going to spend time with his band members or to dance practices, but he was going over to another woman’s house. Never the same one, unless she had been to the clubs and bars they went to more than once.
He thought she’d never notice, from how well he hid it. He had no idea how she found out.
His face and silence had told her she had been right, that what she witnessed wasn’t her mind making up random noises. She had always had a small doubt in her mind that he’d always slept with someone else when he was out drinking, but she never thought it’d be true.
Four days ago, she had been staying the night with Taehyung and Jungkook. As they weren’t of age yet to go to a club, she stayed with them in the guys’ dorm to play games with them. She thought if Yoongi did get drunk, he’d trust the guys to bring him to either their apartment or the dorm. It would’ve been true, but every time they went out, he told her he’d spent the night at the dorm.
At 2 A.M., she and the two boys heard the sound of loud laughter come through the front door of the dorm.
She smiled at the guys and turned back to playing a game with Jungkook, but he seemed to pause the game when no one said anything.
“Are you guys alright?” she asked, her eyes dragging over the group of guys when she noticed one person missing. Her boyfriend, Yoongi.
They visibly paled, seeing the woman, her face dropped, not seeing Yoongi. They knew where he was, yet none of them said anything. She was like their younger sister, they didn’t want to see her hurt. They had begged Yoongi to go back to the dorm with them, but he snapped and said he was going to get laid tonight, forgetting that he had a girlfriend who’d always wait for him to return home.
“Where’s Yoongi…?”, she asked, looking at Namjoon, whose mouth open and closed like a fish who was struggling to breathe without water. Her eyes skimmed over to Seok-Jin, whose face dropped when he looked back at her, frowning down at her.
“Guys, where’s Yoongi?” She asked again, more firm and demanding this time.
“Oh, Yoongi-hyung?” Jimin giggled, who was heavily drunk, his vision blurry and not able to recognize her figure or voice, “He said he’s getting laid tonight. I feel so bad for you. You are so sweet and caring, practically an angel. I don’t see why he’d get another girl when he has you.”
A loud smack was heard and Jimin groaned and pouted, looking up at Namjoon who’d just smacked the back of his head, not realizing what he had confessed.
The woman’s face paled, tears threatening to spill in the next few seconds. She scrambled, moving away from the game station and finding her phone. She looked at Yoongi’s contact and called it without hesitation.
“What the fuck do you want, dude?”, he grunted, clearly not seeing who had called. She could hear moans and whimpers in the background. She immediately hung-up, launching her phone on the couch in absolute disgust.
Tears flooded her face. The unbelievable had been proven true, her boyfriend had been cheating on her behind her back, probably for months now, even when he told her how many times he loved her, how they cuddled after sex, and after she’d shared her emotions and feelings with him, even when she had her own issues. All of the intimate moments they shared were now useless, wasted on drunken hookups.
“I’ll be coming back later to get the rest of my things.” she moved past him, making him stumble when she shoved past.
Slamming the door behind her, she left him alone in the quiet apartment that always had been so loving, warm and inviting. The apartment he had called home for the past two years felt so barren of happiness and the love he was used to. The only thing he could register himself feeling was disgust and self-hatred.
How had he fucked up one of the most important things of his life so easily?

For Your Eyes Only: 10 Captivating and Creative Images to Inspire Photographers
No matter how good a DSLR camera a photographer has, if he or she doesn’t find something artistic in the view, all efforts will be for naught. A powerful image is created through the creativity of a photographer; the kick-ass gear is just a bonus. After all, a good photographer can capture a great shot anytime, regardless of the camera he or she is holding. Speaking of great shots, here are 10 of the best photos that will get any photographer’s creative juices going.
1
The weather may be dry and the skies may be leaden but this doesn’t mean a creative shot can’t be taken. Although the winter season rarely burst of colors, the shades it comes with shades that are ideal for a largely monochromatic picture. The key—aside from having an eye for a great shot—is perfect timing.
This stunning photo was taken by Finnish photographer Mikko Lagerstedt from a high location where the vantage point allows a considerable view of the city. He was able to capture the beauty of the sun starting to shine through grey clouds. The snow-covered rooftops and sparsely-filled parking lots were also utilized as a good contrasting backdrop to the orange city lights.
2
Since shooting the movement of lights became a hit, many versions of it made it to the lists of best photos taken. Taken by English photographer Andrew Tobin, this striking image of streaks of light suspended in midair was taken in London’s Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.
Tobin shared that the inspiration behind this photo is to capture a plane taking off the runway with the twilight as its background.  Using a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, he set the shutter to 15 seconds, the aperture to f/8, and the ISO to 50. After taking a handful of shots, he manipulated them by extracting the trails of light and placing them on top of each other until he was satisfied with the final product.
3
The existence of this photo proves that a brilliant shot can be captured despite a nasty weather.
This beautiful shot was of German photographer Tobias Richter who also happens to be a professional at landscape photography. Depicted in this piece is Scotland’s Cullin Hills. These landforms are located in the peninsula Isle of Skye near the village of Elgol. According to Richter, the challenge of taking this picture is the narrow timeframe of the sun rays dramatically illuminating the scenery.
4
With the idea being derived from the popular Mario Bros. video game, photographer Vincent Bourilhon produced this conceptual photo with a lot of creativity and a little fuss.
To achieve this fun work of art, Bourilhon used a Canon EOS 450D and set his focus to 23mm to make room for a wide angle. In order to portray Mario’s signature move, his camera’s shutter speed was set to 1/400 sec while the aperture was set to f/3.5.
5
Featured in this colorful number is Ashley, owner of Ashley’s Flowers in Detroit. The Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) intended to promote good relationships between the city’s purchasing business community and its suppliers, so they commissioned photographers like Noah Stephens (photographer of image above) to take photos of entrepreneurs who benefited from their project D2D (DEGC’s Business-to-Business Program)—from the corporate executives to the owners of small businesses.
6
Torrents of snow can do a lot to diminish whatever color is left to the environment. The good news is, it makes for great black-and-white photos.
In this particular shot, landscape photographer Adam Burton took advantage of the splendor brought by the snowstorm, set his camera to black and white mode, and took photos of these deer. He shared that he likes finding dramatic settings in the midst of a perceived unpleasant weather. The challenge though is finding adequate light. This shot alone made him wait for 30 minutes until he was satisfied with the lighting. And the final shot is obviously worth the wait.
7
Another favorite photography trick is the utilization of depth of field. This trick allows photographers to focus on the nearest object as much as the lens would permit, so that they can come up with a clear close-up shot with a blurred background.
Liam Frankland, the photographer who took this image, used lenses that have the capacity to do this trick—the 50mm and 20mm. When either of these lenses is attached to his camera, he often sets the aperture to f1/8 so that the subject will be sharp and the background smooth albeit blurry.
8
This captivating black and white photograph is a part of Victoria Ivanova’s project where she humanized pears to represent people’s behavior.
The equipment she used to bring her ideas to life is her Canon 5D Mark II and a 50mm lens which she set to f1/4. She also made use of six LED flashlights and made them to what she calls “light brush”. She coated the glass with hand cream to soften the light emitted by the LED.
9
Before the pervasiveness of its own branch of photography, food was simply a concoction of something palatable people wolf down when they’re hungry. Now, food has become the much loved subject of many photographers including Giles Angel.
In this photo, Angel used the simplest of objects—a melamine cup and saucer, milk, and water—and made their dimensions become more visible you can almost touch them. He also utilized a brand of acrylic glass called Perspex as base.
Since there is a lot of liquid involved in this shoot, Angel made sure his gear won’t get wet by using his 24-120mm zoom lens and set it at 90mm. And believe it or not, this shot was taken in the dark—the trick is to keeping the shutter open and hitting it after the liquid has been poured and the liquid dropped.
10
Another version of a picture inspired by shooting light trails, this piece highlights a much closer and brighter view to the intangible subject.
Taken by Dutch photographer Frank van Tol, he said that the difficulty he encountered when shooting was either the shots were overexposed or there were too many blurs. He also had to pass 40 times in the street until he captured a shot he was contented with. He used his Canon EOS 400D and set the exposure to 10 seconds, the aperture to f/8, and the ISO to 100. He also benefited from his Samyang 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens to make this picture possible.
Photographers who are looking for a bunch of ideas for their next project can definitely make use of these stills as inspiration and whip their own versions to perfection.
