The car sat there for at least a couple of years. Users of the Google maps service found a DeLorean DMC-12 car on one of the maps, which is a copy of the model used in the Back to the Future trilogy. The car was found in the small community of Mozart, West Virginia. It's parked on the side of the road, next to a utility pole, just up the street from the abandoned house. It is assumed that the car was simply parked and never returned for it. The car was initially spotted in November 2021, but remained there into 2023, according to the latest Google Maps satellite imagery. Last year saw the introduction of the all-new DeLorean Alpha5 , which uses an all-electric platform. At the beginning of the year, a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 was offered in Russia for 8.5 million rubles

La trilogía Volver al futuro no solo marcó a una generación; sus continuas repeticiones lograron cautivar, también, a millones de chicos y adolescentes que en el momento de su estreno ni siquiera habían nacido. 

El "culpable" de haber despertado las esperanzas de millones de personas fue Christopher Lloyd. El actor que personificó al genial y algo chiflado Emmett Brown subió a su cuenta de Instagram una fotografía actual en la que se lo ve acompañado por los otros protagonistas de la saga: Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly), Thomas Wilson (Biff Tannen) y Lea Thompson (Lorraine Baines). Para generar aún más suspicacias, la imagen está acompañada por un simple y contundente texto: "BTTF IV" (las siglas deBack To The Future, el título del film en inglés) y el número que una posible nueva entrega ocuparía dentro del universo de la saga.

Si bien en agosto pasado los actores se habían reencontrado en la Fan Expo de Boston, esta vez Lloyd no dio ninguna información sobre el motivo ni la locación de la nueva reunión. Y eso, claro, acrecentó la fantasía de sus seguidores y despertó un mar de especulaciones.

En una entrevista con The Hollywood Reporter, el actor había asegurado: "Me encantaría hacer de Doc otra vez. Es difícil tener una idea que logre la emoción de las tres originales. Sería todo un reto para los guionistas crear una historia original deVolver al futuro que tenga la misma pasión, intensidad y emoción que las otras tres. Pero podría hacerse, nunca se sabe". Sin embargo, en enero de este año, el director de la trilogía, Robert Zemeckis reiteró que no tenía pensado sumar un nuevo film a la saga.La primera de las tres películas de la saga se estrenó en 1985. En esa primera entrega, el adolescente Marty McFly y el doctor Brown viajaban en el tiempo hasta 1955. El éxito obtenido llevó a los realizadores a filmar dos nuevas películas: en la primera, avanzaban en en tiempo hasta 2015 y en la última, retrocedían hasta 1885. De realizarse una cuarta entrega, ¿a qué año viajarían? Ese es, quizá, el punto que más especulaciones despierta entre los fanáticos.
