this is petty and a nothing burger but i find salems posts about kendricks halftime show personally very funny because he is exactly the kind of person kendrick hates and has called out before. salem only ever uplifts himself and kisses up to white people and ignores his own community when it doesnt serve him. the second his blackness threatens his engagement count and kofi bucks he goes back to playing the token for white comfort and convenience. he has never uplifted a single other black artist or shown public support for any other than himself. as the wise man said: you a colonizer

he mentioned, some time back. a complaint, that the "transmasc community" only listened to "white music". then, when someone in the comments asked for what he listens to, as a black man. he said, he was still looking for black artists. but could only name tyler the creator as a queer black creator.

i, do not consider myself a heavy music listener. however. even i can list, several queer black artists, off the top of my head. such as lil nas x, doechii, cupcakke, rico nasty, frank ocean, lustsickpuppy, chika, janelle monae, babylungs, kevin abstract, im sure there are many many more, i am missing. salem simply does not do his research, the same way he copy pastes, all of his activism posts. he wants to be fed these queer black artists, instead of platforming them, himself.

"That's fuckinng awful! Did you poison me? Fuuuck... If I wasn't cursed I'd think I was dying." Edward's attempt to sooth Killian's pain only resulted in making him suffer in a different way.

Maybe he was just clumsy, but Edward doubted that. Other than the ceiling fiasco, Killian didn't seem to be anything other than graceful in his movements.

The Kraken sets down his journal, moving some things around to find his pipe. He packs it with a snap of opium before standing to his feet. Over he goes, offering the pipe to the other. "Take a hit, helps with pain...Don't wanna hear ya fuckin' whinin'. Annoyin' when 'm tryin' to draw..." Phew, he almost sounded like he was going soft for a moment there. Thankfully he came up with an excuse as to why he was offering the pain relief.

I finally figured out wtf is going on with Madeline Pendleton on TikTok and it's confirmed what I already had suspected, but idk this is so interesting to me. I had no idea what was going on at first because none of the accusations were lining up to anything particularly worth caring about.

Like initially what I saw was that ppl were saying MP is bad because she said that there's a lot of anti-North Korean propaganda; that she's racist bc she voted for Claudia de la Cruz instead of Kamala Harris and because she said that Angela Davis was never an official BPP member; and that she's fatphobic because her clothing line apparently just scales up for larger sizes instead of designing clothing intended for fat people.

And i was like, ok, none of this is very convincing to me because, like, it is undeniably true that there's a lot of anti-NK propaganda that's just patently false and racist. I don't gaf that she voted for de la Cruz instead of genocide VP. IIRC it is true that Angela Davis wasn't an official BPP member even though she was affiliated with them. And while I think that clothing designers should absolutely design clothing with fat bodies in mind instead of just scaling up designs meant for skinny people, I just don't think this is a big fatphobic crime for a company like MP's--her designs are probably made with her own body in mind, which i think is fine and not that big a deal, she should just hire a designer who specializes in designing clothing for fat people if she gets the chance to do that. Idk I just can't be bothered.

And then i was hearing about the Babylungs stuff and that was all iffy all around, because I wouldn't be surprised about microaggressions in any workplace, even the most cool leftist workplace, because it's just impossible to have any space with more than a couple people without there being any microaggressions. And it seems like all the things BL reported were addressed appropriately. And then BL said it was unfair that they didn't get severance after they quit but that racist employees would hypothetically get severance if they were fired. And it's like...??? You don't get a severance package if you quit! That's not how severance works. And you do give severance to people who are fired or laid off because they need to have food and housing in the meantime till they find another job. And BL explicitly said it was a hypothetical that these employees would get severance if fired... so it didn't even happen???

And, like, i don't particularly care about MP or their fashion company. I feel total neutrality about them. They are a white woman and an employer, so... ya know. But it's just weird to see the way people are making these accusations and dogpiling on her when...???
