Hell yeah, now I have all but five of the Babylon 5 novels. All I need now are Final Reckoning, Casting Shadows, and the novelizations of In the Beginning, Thirdspace, and A Call to Arms.
I love how the titles on some of these range from boring and utilitarian to amazing:
Also, they chose some interesting angles to show the station from on a couple of these:

Capricorn December The Birth of The Unconquered Sun
By shirleytwofeathers
The Sun will “die” at midnight on December 21, but don’t panic, it will “rebirth” on midnight December 24. This occurs at the beginning of Winter every year for the past 4.6 billion years. It is called the Winter Solstice, “sun stood still”, and is considered the shortest day in the year in terms of hours of sunlight.
It is a three-day period when the hours of daylight are at its shortest and the hours of night (darkness) are at its longest. Noticeably, the sun progressively sets earlier each evening after June 22 (The Summer Solstice – longest hours of sunlight) and night fall comes the earliest on December 21. Hence daylight savings time put our clock one hour back to make up for the shorter hours of day light.
Needless to say, the Sun is vital to our life here on earth and is one of the most important star in our world. It is the nearest star to Earth and is believed to be formed 4.6 billion years ago. Â It is the most important source of energy for life on Earth and its diameter is about 109 times that of Earth, with mass about 330,000 times that of Earth. The sun accounts for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System and is so large that about 1,300,000 planet Earths can fit inside of it.
Awesome. WOW. Worthy of Worshipping?
Sun Worship
Well, our ancestors did just that more than 9000 years ago and it is still being done today. The ancients selected December 21, the Winter Solstice as the ideal time to invoke the sun. Maybe if you were living in the north pole and had long, dark harsh winters to deal with you might want to invoke the sun too.
In the solar myth, the death of the “old sun” occurs as the length of daylight decreases and becomes its lowest at the Winter Solstice which begins on the midnight of December 21 (early morning December 22) and ends on Midnight December 24 (early morning December 25). The sun stop moving south on December 22, it is then at its lowest point in the Northern Hemisphere, residing in the vicinity of the Southern Cross. It stays at this lowest point for three days (December 22, 23, 24 appearing to not moving south or north and was considered “dead”).
It “returns to life” at midnight on December 24/ early morning December 25, when it begins its northern journey again and the hours of sunlight start to lengthen. Therefore, the ancients said that the SUN was born on December 25. As a result, festivals and feasts were done to honour Sol or Mithra.
Interestingly, on December 24, Sirius (star in the east and brightest star in the night sky) aligns with the three brightest Orion belt stars called the Three Kings, (Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka) and on December 25, these all point to the location where the sun will rise on earth that day. In essence, the three kings follow the star in the east to find the sunrise (birth of the sun).
Solar deities and Sun worship can be found throughout most of recorded history in various forms, including:
Ra ~ Egypt,
Mithra ~ Persia,
Apollo ~ Rome
Surya ~ India
Amaterasu ~ Japan
Sol ~ Germanic
Tonatiuh ~ Aztec
Jesus ~ Christianity
Birthday of the SUN or the SON?
As a Baptist, I grew up with the belief that December 25 is the birthdate of Jesus Christ and as such we worship and acknowledge it as Christmas. Indeed, Christmas is big— very big. The entire Island of Jamaica comes to a virtual standstill. Schools and colleges are closed; businesses shut down to give their employees time off; many families plan trips and get-togethers; Church attendance increase; and gifts are given by even those who were scrooge all year long. Maybe you recall, the Christmas Carol that even erroneously say “ Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible said, Mary’s boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day”
However, recall all these activities were already being done in Rome, Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Egypt to acknowledge and worship the birth day of Sol Invicta  (the Unconquered Sun) up to 4000 years before Jesus Christ was born. It then begs the question, whose birthday are we celebrating on December 25? Does Jesus the SON share the birthday with the SUN?
How did the birth of the Sun get changed?
According to scriptures, Jesus Christ was whipped, spat upon, publicly dishonoured then killed by the Church (Caiaphas the high priest) and the State (Pilate the Roman governor). After Jesus’s death, his followers had to go “underground” as they too were meeting the same or worse fate than Christ. These “Followers of Christ” (not Christians as Christianity wasn’t start as yet) were stripped and flogged with whips, stoned to death, and persecuted.
Yet, despite the persecution, the “Followers of Jesus” went underground and their church started to flourish and soon became a major concern to the Roman government. They were blamed for spreading “mischief” that Jesus Christ was king and lord, and was crucified to save our souls. Followers of Christ were also accused of destabilising the economy and threatening civil war.
To stop the possibility of civil war and at the same time keep the existing pagan occult worshippers, Constantine, in AD 326 at the Council of Nicaea, “married” Christ like sentiments (name and life story) with that of Rome’s mysticism and called it Christianity. This new “Christianity” became the official religion of Rome and the SUN was replaced by the SON with Isis and Osiris became Mary and Jesus. December 25 was then decreed as Jesus birthday with the Spring Equinox full moon in March/April designated as his death day.
In short, today’s Christianity is an unholy marriage of Roman Idolatry and Christ sentiments designed by Constantine to maintain religious and political if not economical order and harmony in the empire.
Sol Invictus (Unconquered Sun) is a very important star in our solar system without a doubt. As the main source of energy, we can understand the need to recognise it and maybe even glorify its daily presence in our lives. Many people deliberately and some unwittingly  worship and glorify the SUN between December 21 – 25 to show appreciation.
If you are interested, a Ritual to Bring The Sun can be found in the Book of Shadows, and a number of invocations, prayers, and poetry specifically dedicated to the Sun can be found at Widdershins.
Honouring The Sun Every Day
One really great way to honour the Sun (and yourself) is with a series of body positions called Sun Salutations. An excellent time to begin this ritual is on the morning of the Winter Solstice just as the sun is rising, (facing east). If a sunrise Sun Salutation isn’t possible, but you want to include this in your morning routine, pick a time before breakfast, and that will be fine.
The Sun Salutation, (Surya Namaskar), is a series of 12 yoga postures performed in a single, graceful flow. Each movement is coordinated with the breath. Inhale as you extend or stretch, and exhale as you fold or contract. The Sun Salutation builds strength and increases flexibility. Different styles of yoga perform the Sun Salutation with their own variations. However, the flow presented below covers core steps used in most styles.
For the series below, a single round consists of two complete sequences: one for the right side of the body and the other for the left.
Sun Salutations
Even on days when you think you have no time for yoga, try and do at least one or two rounds of the Sun Salutation. You’ll feel the difference.
1. Mountain:
Begin by standing in Mountain pose, feet about hip width apart, hands either by your sides or in prayer position. Take several deep breaths.
2. Hands up:
On your next inhale, in one sweeping movement, raise your arms up overhead and gently arch back as far as feels comfortable and safe.
3. Head to knees:
As you exhale, bend forward, bending the knees if necessary, and bring your hands to rest beside your feet.
4. Lunge:
Inhale and step the right leg back.
5. Plank
Exhale and step the left leg back into plank position. Hold the position and inhale.
6. Stick
Exhale and lower yourself as if coming down from a pushup. Only your hands and feet should touch the floor.
7. Upward Dog
Inhale and stretch forward and up, bending at the waist. Use your arms to lift your torso, but only bend back as far as feels comfortable and safe. Lift your legs up so that only the tops of your feet and your hands touch the floor. It’s okay to keep your arms bent at the elbow.
8. Downward dog
Exhale, lift from the hips and push back and up.
9. Lunge
Inhale and step the right foot forward.
10. Head to knees
Exhale, bring the left foot forward and step into head-to-knee position.
11. Hands up
Inhale and rise slowly while keeping arms extended .
2. Mountain
Exhale, and in a slow, sweeping motion, lower your arms to the sides. End by bringing your hands up into prayer position. Repeat the sequence, stepping with the left leg.
If the stick figures are not quite “doing” it for you, here’s a video:

How start to watch fate franchise (With minor SPOILERS, sorry without it is difficult to explain the different arcs)
The Fate universe has different timelines and stories arcs, because of that it is a little difficult to know where you have to start. So in this post I’m going to show you a way to watch this interesting franchise :D
First of all, the first appearance of fate was as a erogame, then the company Type-moon have used different ideas to expand the universe of that game and creating other games (with and without the original idea of erogame) and animes.
The rules in common are: (sometime they are broken)
The Holy Grail War (an epic battle of 7 mages, who invocated different Heroic Spirits of history or mythology), the one who win will have a wish.
The classes of the Heroic Spirits (there are 7, saber, lancer, archer, assassin, caster, rider and berserker) each one has a class as weakness and as strength. But in the majority of the animes this rule don’t have too much impact, in game is very present.
The Heroic Spirits never reveals his/her real identity (except to her/his master), for protection.
A lot of characters are death or will be killed.
There’s always a couple.
So, with that in main, let’s start to explain the different fates
1st Fate Stay Night: It’s the name of the first game and anime, in this arc (yes, I explain this later) the protagonists are Shiro Emiya (a high school student, with a little knowledge of magic) and his servant Saber (If you know something about European mythology maybe you will know who she is hehe). The anime was released on 2004 and has 24 episodes.
2nd Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works: It’s the second anime (with a movie) and it’s the second arc of the game. The protagonists are Rin Tosaka (a high school student, and a member of a mage family) and her classmate Shiro Emiya (with a little more of developed as a character, I think). The movie was released first in 2010 and the anime was in 2014 with 26 episodes (I think the final episode has two version).
3rd Fate Stay Night Heaven’s Feel: It’s the third arc of the game, but it haven’t an anime, the story has been divided in 3 movies (presage flower, lost butterfly, spring song); the first was released in 2017 and the second in this year; the third part will be release next year. The protagonists are Sakura Matou (a high school student, a member of a mage family) and her senpai Shiro Emiya. This arc is the most dark and polemic.
This three stories has some similitudes and some BIG differences, there are a lots of secrets, murderers, suffer and regret.
4th Fate/Realta Nua: Remake of the first game. Released in 2007
5th Fate/Hollow Ataraxia: It’s a parallel story of the original. The protagonists are a new servant called Avenger (his real identity is Angra Mainyu), his master Bazett (she was present in the original story, but not all of her…), a girl called Caren (her presence is a spoiler) and again Shiro Emiya. This story takes in no time, you can think it’s after the events of the first game or is during it. It’s more like a fanservice. It was released in 2005 for PC and in 2014 for PS Vita.
Fate/Zero: It’s the prequel of all Fate Stay Night, has an anime (2011), a light novel (2005) and a manga (2010). It takes 10 years before Stay Night; here we get some knowledge about the families involved in the future events. The protagonists are Kiritsugu Emiya and Irisviel von Einzbern. It has a bad end.
7th Fate Extra: Videogame for PSP released in 2011. The protagonist Hakuno Kishinami has no memory, and is forced to participate in a fight for survival, a Holy Grail War. In this game, the player can choose her/his servant.
8th Fate Extra/CCC: Videogame which take place in the middle of Extra, but takes another route, to a crazy story. Same as the others, the protagonist is Hakuno Kishinami. The game has multiple ends. It was released in 2010.
9th Fate Extra/Last Encore: Anime which it seems like Extra, but with BIG difference. It was released in 2018 and has 13 episodes. The protagonists are Hakuno Kishinami (again without memory) and his servant Red Saber (she has the same face as the saber of Stay Night, if you know about Rome’s history you will know who she is).
10th Fate Extella The Umbral Star: Videogame which take from the end of Extra. Hakuno Kishinami has to defeat a Caster servant, but to do it he (I don’t know if you have the option of change gender) has to get allies. This game has multiple finals, but each one has an influence to get the real end. Released in 2016.
11th Fate Apocrypha: Light novel (2012), manga (2016) and anime (2017). Another Holy Grail War, but with some irregularities, because of that the Holy Grail invoke a servant without a master, servant class Ruler. She can’t interfere in the war; only maintain the order of it. The protagonists are Ruler, a homunculus (spoiler) and the survivors of the war… I think.
12th Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Manga (2007) and anime (2013). This story takes place in a parallel world with some of the characters of Stay Night, in the beginning is like a Maho Shojo, but with the pass of the episodes, appears characteristics of the original story. The protagonists are Illyasviel von Einzbern and Miyu Edelfelt, (spoiler alert, if you know something about them only by the name, you know that this will have some bad things).
13th Fate Grand Order: Cellphone game released in 2015 in Japanese server and in 2017 in USA server. The protagonist is you (the girl named Gudako and the boy named Gudao, by the fans). Here are 3 arcs (in actuality), Grand Order, Epic of Remnant and Lostbelt. There are two animations based on the game (the protagonist is the boy called Ritsuka Fujimaru), the first one introduces you in the first level of the game (It’s called Fate Grand Order: First Order, released in 2016), the second takes place after the first arc (It’s called Fate Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom). And this year there will be another anime based on the last level of the game (Babylon) and a movie about the penultimate level (Camelot). One thing about this game… is a waifus and husbandos fabric.
AHHHH, I think I finish with all the summary of Fate universe. So how do you start? Basically, there’s no big deal if you start with any of them. But I think you could start with Unlimited Blade Works (series and then movie), later with Stay Night, then Zero, and after that watch anyone. Or you could start watching Apocrypha, and then watch the other ones. The only thing that I really recommend is not watch Stay Night in the beginning is too slow in the start of the story.
About the images... It's tradition be redundant.

Psalm 19
Psalm 19
God’s Glory in Creation and the Law
To the leader. A Psalm of David.
1Â The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament[a] proclaims his handiwork. 2Â Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. 3Â There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; 4Â yet their voice[b] goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
In the heavens[c] he has set a tent for the sun, 5Â which comes out like a bridegroom from his wedding canopy, and like a strong man runs its course with joy. 6Â Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and nothing is hid from its heat.
7Â The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the Lord are sure, making wise the simple; 8Â the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eyes; 9Â the fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10Â More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey, and drippings of the honeycomb.
11Â Moreover by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. 12Â But who can detect their errors? Clear me from hidden faults. 13Â Keep back your servant also from the insolent;[d] do not let them have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
14Â Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Isaiah 45:18-25
18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!): I am the Lord, and there is no other. 19 I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, “Seek me in chaos.” I the Lord speak the truth, I declare what is right.
Idols Cannot Save Babylon
20 Assemble yourselves and come together, draw near, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge— those who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save. 21 Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord? There is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is no one besides me.
22 Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. 23 By myself I have sworn, from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return: “To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”
24Â Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; all who were incensed against him shall come to him and be ashamed. 25Â In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall triumph and glory.

Philippians 3:4-11
4Â even though I, too, have reason for confidence in the flesh.
If anyone else has reason to be confident in the flesh, I have more: 5Â circumcised on the eighth day, a member of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; 6Â as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless.
7Â Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. 8Â More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9Â and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but one that comes through faith in Christ,[a] the righteousness from God based on faith. 10Â I want to know Christ[b] and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death, 11Â if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Psalm 119:89-112
89Â The Lord exists forever; your word is firmly fixed in heaven. 90Â Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast. 91Â By your appointment they stand today, for all things are your servants. 92Â If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my misery. 93Â I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. 94Â I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts. 95Â The wicked lie in wait to destroy me, but I consider your decrees. 96Â I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.
97Â Oh, how I love your law! It is my meditation all day long. 98Â Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is always with me. 99Â I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your decrees are my meditation. 100Â I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts. 101Â I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word. 102Â I do not turn away from your ordinances, for you have taught me. 103Â How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104Â Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.
105Â Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. 106Â I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to observe your righteous ordinances. 107Â I am severely afflicted; give me life, O Lord, according to your word. 108Â Accept my offerings of praise, O Lord, and teach me your ordinances. 109Â I hold my life in my hand continually, but I do not forget your law. 110Â The wicked have laid a snare for me, but I do not stray from your precepts. 111Â Your decrees are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. 112Â I incline my heart to perform your statutes forever, to the end.

Acts 9:1-22
The Conversion of Saul
9 Meanwhile Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any who belonged to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3 Now as he was going along and approaching Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 He asked, “Who are you, Lord?” The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 6 But get up and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” 7 The men who were traveling with him stood speechless because they heard the voice but saw no one. 8 Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; so they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9 For three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
10 Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” He answered, “Here I am, Lord.” 11 The Lord said to him, “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul. At this moment he is praying, 12 and he has seen in a vision[a] a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” 13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints in Jerusalem; 14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who invoke your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is an instrument whom I have chosen to bring my name before Gentiles and kings and before the people of Israel; 16 I myself will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” 17 So Ananias went and entered the house. He laid his hands on Saul[b] and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way here, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and his sight was restored. For several days he was with the disciples in Damascus, 20 and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.” 21 All who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem among those who invoked this name? And has he not come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?” 22 Saul became increasingly more powerful and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus[c] was the Messiah.[d]

Psalm 72
Psalm 72
Prayer for Guidance and Support for the King
Of Solomon.
1 Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to a king’s son. 2 May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. 3 May the mountains yield prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness. 4 May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the needy, and crush the oppressor.
5Â May he live[a] while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations. 6Â May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth. 7Â In his days may righteousness flourish and peace abound, until the moon is no more.
8Â May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. 9Â May his foes[b] bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust. 10Â May the kings of Tarshish and of the isles render him tribute, may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts. 11Â May all kings fall down before him, all nations give him service.
12Â For he delivers the needy when they call, the poor and those who have no helper. 13Â He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy. 14Â From oppression and violence he redeems their life; and precious is their blood in his sight.
15Â Long may he live! May gold of Sheba be given to him. May prayer be made for him continually, and blessings invoked for him all day long. 16Â May there be abundance of grain in the land; may it wave on the tops of the mountains; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field. 17Â May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun. May all nations be blessed in him;[c] may they pronounce him happy.
18Â Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. 19Â Blessed be his glorious name forever; may his glory fill the whole earth. Amen and Amen.
20Â The prayers of David son of Jesse are ended.

Psalm 119:73-96
73Â Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments. 74Â Those who fear you shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word. 75Â I know, O Lord, that your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness you have humbled me. 76Â Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant. 77Â Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight. 78Â Let the arrogant be put to shame, because they have subverted me with guile; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts. 79Â Let those who fear you turn to me, so that they may know your decrees. 80Â May my heart be blameless in your statutes, so that I may not be put to shame.
81 My soul languishes for your salvation; I hope in your word. 82 My eyes fail with watching for your promise; I ask, “When will you comfort me?” 83 For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, yet I have not forgotten your statutes. 84 How long must your servant endure? When will you judge those who persecute me? 85 The arrogant have dug pitfalls for me; they flout your law. 86 All your commandments are enduring; I am persecuted without cause; help me! 87 They have almost made an end of me on earth; but I have not forsaken your precepts. 88 In your steadfast love spare my life, so that I may keep the decrees of your mouth.

Nehemiah 13:4-22
The Reforms of Nehemiah
4Â Now before this, the priest Eliashib, who was appointed over the chambers of the house of our God, and who was related to Tobiah, 5Â prepared for Tobiah a large room where they had previously put the grain offering, the frankincense, the vessels, and the tithes of grain, wine, and oil, which were given by commandment to the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers, and the contributions for the priests. 6Â While this was taking place I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of King Artaxerxes of Babylon I went to the king. After some time I asked leave of the king 7Â and returned to Jerusalem. I then discovered the wrong that Eliashib had done on behalf of Tobiah, preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God. 8Â And I was very angry, and I threw all the household furniture of Tobiah out of the room. 9Â Then I gave orders and they cleansed the chambers, and I brought back the vessels of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.
10 I also found out that the portions of the Levites had not been given to them; so that the Levites and the singers, who had conducted the service, had gone back to their fields. 11 So I remonstrated with the officials and said, “Why is the house of God forsaken?” And I gathered them together and set them in their stations. 12 Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain, wine, and oil into the storehouses. 13 And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouses the priest Shelemiah, the scribe Zadok, and Pedaiah of the Levites, and as their assistant Hanan son of Zaccur son of Mattaniah, for they were considered faithful; and their duty was to distribute to their associates. 14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.
Sabbath Reforms Begun
15 In those days I saw in Judah people treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys; and also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day; and I warned them at that time against selling food. 16 Tyrians also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of merchandise and sold them on the sabbath to the people of Judah, and in Jerusalem. 17 Then I remonstrated with the nobles of Judah and said to them, “What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the sabbath day? 18 Did not your ancestors act in this way, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Yet you bring more wrath on Israel by profaning the sabbath.”
19 When it began to be dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the sabbath. And I set some of my servants over the gates, to prevent any burden from being brought in on the sabbath day. 20 Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of merchandise spent the night outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 But I warned them and said to them, “Why do you spend the night in front of the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on they did not come on the sabbath. 22 And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.

Revelation 12:1-12
The Woman and the Dragon
12Â A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2Â She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pangs, in the agony of giving birth. 3Â Then another portent appeared in heaven: a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4Â His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child, so that he might devour her child as soon as it was born. 5Â And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule[a] all the nations with a rod of iron. But her child was snatched away and taken to God and to his throne; 6Â and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, so that there she can be nourished for one thousand two hundred sixty days.
Michael Defeats the Dragon
7 And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, 8 but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10Â Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, proclaiming,
“Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Messiah,[b] for the accuser of our comrades[c] has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 But they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not cling to life even in the face of death. 12 Rejoice then, you heavens and those who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you with great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”

The Rejection of Jesus at Nazareth
54 He came to his hometown and began to teach the people[a] in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these deeds of power? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56 And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all this?” 57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “Prophets are not without honor except in their own country and in their own house.” 58 And he did not do many deeds of power there, because of their unbelief.

Psalm 19

Then he got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength.

Matthew 13:53-58
53Â When Jesus had finished these parables, he left that place.

Psalm 19

Then he got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength.
Saul Preaches in Damascus
For several days he was with the disciples in Damascus, 20 and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.” 21 All who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem among those who invoked this name? And has he not come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?” 22 Saul became increasingly more powerful and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus[c] was the Messiah.[d]
