Regression Body Dysphoria

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this talked about before, so I guess I’ll do it myself.

Regression Body Dysphoria.

For me personally, one of my biggest slips out of headspace when regressed is seeing my body, face, etc. Even just the occasional intrusive thought of ‘I shouldn’t be this tall.,’ will do it.

I reminds me a lot of gender dysphoria, at least in my personal experience. My headspace is smol, but my body isn’t aligned with that. Like, I feel like I should be shorter, my hair should be longer, the environment should feel bigger in proportion, etc. It all reminds me of my actual age, and sometimes causing discomfort/distress because my baby brain does not want to believe it’s an adult.

Does anyone else get this? If you do, here are my tips for avoiding it:

Nesting/staying in one place to avoid the experience of your own height

Wearing loose, long sleeved clothes

Laying on the floor

Staring up at the ceiling because wow it’s high up

Curling up, sitting on your knees or cross-cross, etc. Any position that will make you take up less space/feel smaller.

Oversized stuffies, blankets, crayons, and other gear

Covering up with a blanket

Doing activities that will distract you (eg. Coloring, watching a movie, etc)

If possible, being carried around by your CG

Remember that you’re an adorable baby no matter what size and shape you are!

Breakfast and Cartoons

Had a little morning today

Made some breakfast and watched Jessica's big little world! One of my new favorite cartoons

Added sprinkles to my oat meal which I haven't done since I was a kid

Also turns out my NUK sippy cup handle fits on my bottle too!

It was nice to have a distraction from my big kid work

When Mafuyu is in a little infant baby space, her caregivers usually place her on her little baby mat on her back, to let her enjoy the toys dangling above!!! ૮꒰ྀི˶• ༝ •˶ ྀི꒱ა

But after a while to make sure she doesn’t strain herself from being in the same position for too long, they give her some tummy time! ૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა

To help her prop up properly they always put her favourite plushie under her arms to keep her up and safe! ໒꒰ྀི ^ ^ ꒱ྀིა

She always has someone sitting near her watching her and playing with her to keep her entertained!!

Although she always has a paci in her mouth when she’s in babyspace, her caregivers can always see her eyes crinkle with happiness when she’s in tummy time and they’re talking to her and singing to her!! ଘ꒰⑅ ´ ˘ ` ⑅ ꒱♡

To add onnnnnnnnnnn!!!! Sometimes when she’s in babyspace and needs her tummy time, her caregivers let her lay on top of them and talk to her and rub their noses against her in a bunny kiss!!

AKA: tummy time with cuddles and bunny kisses! Makes baby mafufu sooo happy ૮꒰ྀི ⸝⸝․․⸝⸝ ྀི꒱ა

Baby mafuyu loooooooooooooves belly rubs too!! Sooo much!

She just turns on her back and looks at her caregivers while suckling on her pacifier waiting for them to rub her tummy ໒꒰ྀི´• ˕ •` ꒱ྀིა

When she’s feeling sick or nauseous or anxious, tummy rubs always soothe her down! ໒꒰ྀི｡- ˕ -｡꒱ྀི১

When she’s feeling bored and fussy, blowing raspberries on her tummy always cheers her up hehe ૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა˖⁺‧₊˚

Also tickling her tummy, it’s her only ticklish spot and whenever they do she lets out the cutest baby giggles and it makes her caregivers hearts burst from joy!
