The only sense of kindness Senjuro is use to is from his compassionate older brother, Kyojuro so when you come wondering into his life with so much cheerfulness and sweetness, he cannot bring himself to reject you

Senjuro is the type of best friend to do whatever you want to make you comfortable and happy anytime you come to say hi to him. He is as loving as you, and he will make every visit be a memorable time

Senjuro’s favourite bonding activity with you is cooking lunch. He has grand cooking skills, though, your rather bizzare meals would have weirded him out to a teet if he didn’t admire how passionate and excited you are to cook

Senjuro loves styling your beautiful dark pink hair into all the cute styles he has been practicing on Kyojuro, all for you. Your hair is simply marvellous to him and he’ll style it for absolutely no reason. It’s not like you’ll say no to the younger Rengoku

Senjuro is a flustered one, unfamiliar with compliments and love. He gets all blushy and nervous when you start behaving all protective and doting towards him. You two are basically the same age and you’re not a slayer but you want to defend him as much as you can

All other friends you’ve ever had were terrified of your horrifically intense side, Senjuro isn’t fazed by it. Your anger is always justified and he’ll just sit back to let you vent it all out before you return to him to calm down

Senjuro is your biggest support, he tries to politely get around your lazy and careless nature. You sometimes just don’t wanna do stuff so he uses all the things you like to give you motivation. Cats, parties, music. He knows you like the back of his hand

Senjuro knows everything about you as you constantly spill about the stuff you like and he happily remembers it all as he values you like a sibling. A long lost sibling, so he lets you rant and talk his ear off with a gentle smile on his face. To him, your openness is adorable

Senjuro likes turning you into a sushi roll with his futon so he can cuddle you. He is a very cuddly person by heart, just like Kyojuro, so rather you be his friend or partner, he just wants to embrace you and feel your heartbeat. He is sadly a bit touch-starved so he is attracted to affection

Due to your Western nationality, you struggle to understand the Japanese speech, customs and more, messing up regularly but Senjuro laughs everytime you mess up. He doesn’t mind it at all and in-fact, he tries his best to teach you what you don’t know, so you won’t be embarrassed

Senjuro isn’t shocked or disgusted by you licking him when he is visibly sweaty or dirty. He does find it odd but he is flattered by the consideration behind the gesture, you want to keep him clean and he appreciates that

Senjuro is a angelic boy, so he is always eager to make new friends and with how likeable you are, he has his arms open even wider. It doesn’t matter if it’s only been seconds since you two were apart, Senjuro always wants to be around you and he misses you

Senjuro is basically your Silkie. You carry him around constantly and if he disappears suddenly, you’ll explode into an glowing green electric storm

prompt: kyojuro's excited to welcome his little girl into the family, but he never expected the emotions to hit so hard.

note: i was so unsure how to name this and i spent like 30 mins thinking of the pairing😭 im supposed to be sleeping bc i have testing tomorrow but oh well🤷🏾‍♀️

kyojuro never even thought of getting married. well... he never really even thought about it until he met you,. but to him,marriage was it.

when you asked him about having kids that was the first time he ever thought about it. he didn't really care about carrying on the family name, he had a brother and just cared about being with you.

but he would never deny his wife, who gave him everything he ever asked for, this one thing that she asked for.

he was ecstatic when you came to him with the good news; you were pregnant. he didn’t mind taking care of you at all until you had the baby. whatever you asked for he got, no questions asked.

and when the day finally came to welcome their little bundle of joy into the world, and he saw her face, and he held her in his arms, he didn’t know how hard the moment would hit him. she looked so small compared to him and it choked him up.

before he knew it, tears streamed down his face despite his fond and loving smile.

“she looks just like you.” he sniffs. you smile back at him, grabbing his free hand and squeezing it firmly.

she made small whimpers and shifted a bit. her little nose twitched with the ragged breaths and she couldn’t sit still in his arms.

he looked back up at you now. “thank you.”

you scoffed and rolled your eyes with a small laugh.

“she’s a momma’s girl.” you winked at kyojuro. “think ill be the favorite.”

“well, you are my favorite.”

“ah, so she gets it from you?” he nodded. you laughed, kissing his hand before leaning against it. “i love you.”

You huffed as you swayed in the rocking chair, holding your little bundle of joy in your arms and watching them as they slept peacefully against their mother's breasts.

At first, when you had found out that you were pregnant, you had every intention to give the child away so they couldn't slow you down or stop you from slaying Demons...

And then you had gone and given birth and it was like everything changed when you first got to hold this little person that grew inside you for 9 whole months.

It felt like you were holding pure sunlight in your arms and then, against all odds... You were a rather good mother, even if you had your doubts.

"Oi!"

You winched as you heard a loud familiar voice shout and you turned to glare at the Wind Hashira who approached you.

"The fuck, do you want to wake up the baby!?" You hissed but you calmed down as you noticed that he didn't come alone but with all the rest of the Hashiras.

"Hi there!" Mitsuri greeted you and you raised a finger over your lips and she immediately quieted down, "Ah, I'm sorry...!"

"It's okay..." You murmured as you looked at the peacefully sleeping baby in your arms, "I could be slaying a Demon and I doubt they would wake up."

"Then how come I get yelled at...!?" Sanemi frowned and you gave him the finger, "You're you, that's why...!"

"Namu... How are you both feeling?" Gyomei asked and you nodded as you gently held the baby, "We are well, thank you for asking."

"Hm! They look just like you, young lady," Kyojuro nodded, talking as quietly as he could so he wouldn't disturb the sleeping baby.

"Thank you."

"They... They smell like milk..." Muichiro noted quietly and you tilted your head as you carefully sniffed your baby, "Really? I can't smell it."

"It's normal for new mothers to become immune to certain smells," Shinobu said with a knowing smile, "Don't worry about it too much."

"We brought you gifts!" Tengen said excitedly as he reached for a bag he was carrying behind his back.

"Oh, you shouldn't have-!" You were saying that when he suddenly dropped the bag on the terrace, and toys and clothes fell out of it.

"This is a lot!" You gasped as you looked at all the different toys and clothes... They were pretty flashy.

"My wives got excited after hearing that you gave birth!" The Sound Hashira grinned, "They wanted to come and see you, but stuff happened and they got busy."

"I..." You nodded, "Thank you. Please thank them for me?"

"Can do."

"It's been 4 months since you gave birth..." Giyu noted and you nodded, "It has."

"What are your plans regarding returning to corps?" Obanai asked and you sighed as you looked at your child.

"I've come to the conclusion that I won't return yet," You said and the Hashiras shared glances between each other.

"You're quitting?" It was almost an accusation rather than a question. You sighed, "I'm not giving up on my blade but I'm not picking it up yet either."

"What do you mean?"

"I know that the world was a scary place, full of darkness and evil... And now that I have this little sun in my arms I know that I have to work harder than ever before to bring down the era of darkness..."

"So why do you-?"

"I... I'm scared to leave them," You said quietly, "What if something happens to them while I'm gone? What if I die...? Who is going to take care of them then?"

The Hashiras nodded, understanding your point of view.

"I've already talked with Master about it and he gave me his blessing," You bowed your head in shame, "I'm sorry everyone for being such a coward..."

"Please don't worry about it," Giyu said and Gyomei nodded, "If there is anything you need then don't be afraid to ask from us..."

"You're one of us!" Mitsuri said and Kyojuro smiled, "We are more than happy to help you out if you need anything!"

"Food, clothes, stuff, you name it and I'll get it!" Tengen grinned, and Shinobu giggled, "I'll make sure to come and check up on you and your child."

"I..." Muichiro looked aside, "I'll also visit when I can..."

"I'm..." Obanai frowned behind his mask, "I'll be here also..."

"Me too," Sanemi grunted, "Don't get me wrong, you're still a bitch, but your baby will need a man in their life."

"And you're offering?" You almost laughed out loud, but when you thought about it, the Wind Hashira's offer was pretty kind, taken that your baby's father was out of the picture.

"We will all be there for you two," Gyomei said and you smiled as you looked at your comrades. Maybe, just maybe, if something happened to you, then your child would be safe with them.
