You snuggle into his chest, smelling the sandalwood cologne that remained on him. You couldn't believe you could have both at the same time. Obviously, you won't put it out in public, but keep it to yourselves.

“Daichi, Tetsuro, do you guys mind making dinner?” You put puppy eyes.

“How about take out?” Kuroo suggested, holding his phone ready.

“Yes!” You wrapped your arms around his muscular waist.

“Happy Valentine's Day, y/n-chan!” Both of them screamed.

No wonder today felt ever so special.

papa atsumu 🥺 i think, it doesn't fully sink in that atsumu's going to be a dad until you start showing. it's not that he doesn't want a baby, it's that he wants one so bad he can't believe it when it's finally happening. and i think, he wishes for a lot of things; wishes that if it's a baby girl, she looks just like you; that if it's a baby boy, it looks like him and NOT osamu. (though really, all he's hoping for is that the baby and you are healthy).

so when your baby girl is born, atsumu is relieved, but mostly smitten, because she has most of your everything but his eyebrows. they're barely filled in at this point, but he can spot the areas where they'll grow, and by the looks of the thick mop of hair on her head, he's expecting it to grow the same way.

atsumu never really knows if what he's doing is right, but your baby girl seems to have his humour (and his appetite). she drinks a lot of milk, and he burps her more times than he can count, but it's his favourite part of the day because it's one look into her papa's eyes and she's giggling out loud.

he's a little careless, with poop getting all over his hands and the floor when he changes her, but he develops a keen set of dad reflexes that has him reaching one arm out a millisecond before she even topples over.

atsumu is not the picture perfect father; he wasn't 'born to do this' like he was for volleyball, but he tries hard to be the best father—as goofy and silly as he can be. as long as his baby girl is smiling at the end of the day, that's enough for him.

Initially, it was this: He made all my favorites for dinner, then we watched my favorite movie. As we're cuddling on the couch, he gets up to get dessert - chocolate cake that he ordered - and placed the ring on it then handed it to me and waited for me to notice. I said yes, of course. We were giddy the rest of the night and absolutely abandoned the movie to spend the night entangled in each other in our bed.

But I'm changing a little bit of it: And, by that, I mean, the dessert. It's no longer chocolate cake with the ring placed on it. It's homemade fortune cookies and the ring is inside it. I'm utterly shocked when I break it open to see the ring but still yes and then the rest of the above continues 🥰

2. Favorite anniversary gift from Kuroo? He went to Akaashi (and paid him fairly) to make our story as an actual book! One of kind and no one can get it but Akaashi has the manuscript in the event anything should happen to the bound copy but we do our best to take care of it. He made us a prince and princess, though, so that it can be like a fairytale and we definitely read it to our kids one day.

3. My and Suna's favorite vacation? I'd say New York in winter. I've always wanted to go and he surprised me as a Christmas gift. We were freezing our asses off but it allowed us to hold hands in his jacket pocket and we looked at the Macy's (🤢🤮) Christmas windows and went ice skating in central park and we definitely saw a Broadway show!
