I feel I have a pretty boring answer for this. When I fell back into HP two years ago I'd left my childhood obsession behind with no intention to return in any form, and the only reason I'm here now was because I started seeing wolfstar fanart that reminded me of how young these two really were in PoA - and during the first war. And so I tried some fics. And got sucked right in. I barely slept for a few days there, just read lmao.

And well if this hadn't happened, I would still be focusing on my own original projects, and so my obsession would be my own characters. Which is so very lonely in comparison.

I'm not generally very invested in fandoms and ships, rarely read fic, and have only once before gotten so obsessed with a ship I started writing fic for them. It's sadly just not easy to make me care this much 😭 and I'd missed it and making fandom friends, so I'm very pleased to be here now. But yeah. If it weren't for the history and nostalgia I already had with and for this world, and how obsessed I got with Sirius specifically, well 🤷‍♀️ I don't think any other hp ship or character could have dragged me back. And I can’t really think of any other ship at all (besides my own) that could hold my interest enough to make me obsessed...unless maybe if Sirius still exists and can be part of it..... now I enjoy prongsfoot and jilypad (and whatever the name is for wolfstar+jily) too but yeah without wolfstar I wouldn’t be here in the first place.

Remus is suddenly sweating—not just because the library aircon seems to be broken, or because he has an eleven page paper that's due next week that he's pretty sure he’s getting zero help on. He's sweating because Sirius keeps looking at him like that—smirking at him from under his eyelashes, a feral spark to his eye like he's starving and Remus is a particularly appealing meal. He’s sweating because this gorgeous, frustrating man has just offered to suck him off in the middle of the library and he can’t think of a single reason to say no. He should be able to think of a reason to say no. He’s not gonna say no. “Uh, yes please.” Sirius barks a laugh, “Did you just say yes please to my offer to suck you off?” “....correct?” “Oh, you’re ridiculous. I’m going to wreck you.”

“Come on. Up you go.” It’s neither English, nor his first language in this world, nor related to any human language he’s ever heard. He understands it but can’t speak it and couldn’t possibly tell you how it works. Long, skinny arms of twisted roots hoist him to his feet. Artfully crafted of bark, this world’s Remus stands a good head taller than him—and that’s not including the mess of moss and sprouts atop his head. Compared to his plague demon form, it’s really rather cute. “Remus...” Remus tuts. “Told you not to drink all that galaxy gin on Gryffindor.” “I’m not drunk,” he insists, intentionally slurring his words. He’s speaking English, he thinks. Is he human? He looks human enough in his long leather coat and boots. “I leave you alone for ten minutes.” He glances around what he assumes is a spaceship—fitted with a whimsical control panel and yellow leather seats. “Where are we headed to now, Captain?” His spaceship, then. Brilliant. “It’s er... a surprise.” Remus grunts. “Let me guess. Another alien princess? Intergalactic assassin? Sexy scientist?” Sirius blinks. How far out in the multiverse is he?

Someday Snippet

I was tagged by both @beautitudes and @heartofspells, but I was out of town this weekend, so this is my first chance to get to it. Thanks SO MUCH to both of you for tagging me.

This is from a Wolfstar Raisies Harry after POA fic that I've written a lot of and put away for a long time, and I'm considering resurecting to finish now.

“Haz, what are you doing?” Sirius asked. 

Harry didn’t even look over his shoulder. Instead, his head was under the sink, digging for something. “The dishes. Where’s the soap?”

“I don’t have any, and you don’t need to do the dishes.” 

Harry turned around, brow furrowed. “You don’t have soap? How do you get the dishes clean?”

Remus raised his wand and pointed it at the sink. Immediately it filled with sudsy water, and the dishes began scrubbing themselves. “Did you forget we were wizards, Harry?”

Harry looked dumbly at the sink before moving back to the table. “I guess I didn’t think of it. I’ve always done them by hand.” 

“Your mum did that too, I remember.” Sirius said. “Said she never liked the way the charm got them clean.” 

“Do you remember when James cleaned them with the charm without telling her, and she made him pull them all back out of the cabinets to redo it?” Remus laughed. 

“She was so mad.” Sirius leaned back laughing. “He knew she didn’t like it, but didn’t think she could actually tell the difference.”

“She got mad at him for how he cleaned the dishes?” Harry looked confused. 

“Not like mad, mad.” Remus said. “She helped him redo them, and in the end, I think they ended up–” Remus cut off short, eyes going wide as he looked at Sirius.

Harry looked between them. “Ended up what?” 

Sirius smirked. “Dancing. In the kitchen together.” 

Harry smiled, leaning on his hand. “That’s sweet.”

writing now mostly marvel comics specifically fantastic four and spider-man but before that it was that weird soup of marvel where it's both the comics movies and shows blended into a beautiful mess

Getting together for the kids, space boys, one little slip, what's mine is ours, let's see how far you've come

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I used to be really good about it, but in the same way I get overwhelmed by responding to online messages comments have been a lot but I still love them so much! I always respond if it's a recent fic and I swear I will reply to the 60 in my inbox soon

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending

either "put me together and take me apart" because it ends with Matt and Peter breaking up because they're still grieving their exes but it feels so much less sad because they get back together in the sequel.. Or "ignorance is bliss" because Jon (tma) forgets Martin exists

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

One little slip, Johnny and Peter get together and go to a premier as the human torch and spider-man

Not on any that are currently up...

Yeah, it's been very gender queer lately idk what that means but smut has just become a vessel to display the beauty of queer bodies recently

All time is hard it's gotta be Percabeth but like currently it's parksborn

I will finish them it'll happen I swear to god it will, don't look at the parksborn divorce fic I promise it'll update one day

What are your writing strengths?

I think what I have up currently on ao3 has really good dialogue but in my current wips I'm really vibing with like I guess internal thoughts, they feel in character but not it's not so much information that it feels like telling instead of showing

What are your writing weaknesses?

schedules, discipline, finishing anything, my pacing is a little weird at times and I'm always worried about "he would not fucking say that"

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I don't because I don't know any languages other than English, I'd reach out to someone that actually spoke the language but the reader would probably just google translate it and that'd take them out of the story and the translation wouldn't be good but I guess I could do a footnote. Idk I haven't found a story that has use for it yet

First fandom you wrote for?

Why couldn't it have been the first fandom I read for? ...it was Hamilton, I'm not happy about it either

Favorite fic you've written?

either the parksborn divorce fic because of an unpublished scene or it's you, it's always been you because of the spideypool fight. I think I just love reading couples fighting where they go for the throat (metaphorically if not also physically)

(Funny of them to check that, really, if all the applicants were meant to be human. Did they truly think he’d slip up and put ‘daimos’?) Address: Your Earthliness. (Looking back, he fears he was meant to put ‘Of the Realm of Earth'). He didn't get a single interview.

She’s cute, Barty thinks as James waves her hands around, spilling a few drops of milk. It matches her dress, perfectly white and flowy with lace details. Fucking lace. God, she’s trying so hard and even then, cute isn’t really a compliment in this case. James is too much. Far too much. And though Barty has no idea what she will do with all her much, she likes seeing her anyway. Call it curiosity.

Tag People You'd Like to Know Better

Three ships: Wolfstar is my only current ~active ship that I'm really engaging with at the moment, but I just reread some Merlin/Arthur and Arthur/Eames fic the other week and was reminded of how fond I was of those characters and ships.

First ship: Buffy/Spike was the first ship I read fic for, but baby!me definitely shipped Alanna and Princess Thayet before I really new what shipping was

Last song: a friend just rickrolled our entire group chat at 8am this morning, (rickrolled! in the year two thousand and twenty three!!) so technically the last song I listened to was unfortunately Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. (in the year 2023! !)

Last movie: The Old Guard. I'm very excited for the sequel and really hope the Quynh and Andy drama is as angsty and gay and unhinged as I have dreamed

Currently reading: "I Love Learning; I Hate School": An Anthopology of College by Susan Blum for work/interest. For fic, I've just started Wildflowers by Talariajetstream/@babblingflowers and I am enjoying it tremendously and I just finished rereading (for the like the sixth time because I love it so much) Please Don't See Me by @lynxindisguise

Currently watching: I am the worst at actually watching things, but I finally finished The Good Place a little while ago and I'm impressed that I both managed to avoid spoilers all these years, that it pretty much lived up to all the good things people were saying about it, and how it absolutely stuck the landing for the series finale. The next new-to-me-thing on my to-watch list is the A League of Their Own series, but because of the "I am the worst at actually watching things" thing it'll likely be months until I start it and the actual next thing I'll be currently (re)watching is the Lord of the Rings trilogy this weekend because my childhood bff and I marathon them every few years and that's happening this weekend!

Last thing I wrote: all my writing is work related and therefore not terribly exciting, but I finally finished the first draft of my very first article manuscript!!
