Controversial opinion

Okay, I know so many people are in love with the idea of a Peraltiago baby, and if that’s the way the show decides to go, I’ll support that. But Jake so quickly switching his stance on wanting to have children because he was able to defuse the situation with Pam (pun intended) is bothering me. That felt like it could’ve been Charles’ fanfiction of Peraltiago. I also feel like Amy’s ultimatum was really out of character. This was a good episode, don’t get me wrong, but that wasn’t my favorite.

You know that scene when Amy said ‘she doesn’t want to start over at 38′? And  Jake said ‘start over? like with someone else??’ Ha. Just one scene of the ‘probability’ of Peraltiago split up was already fucked me up. I think I need to lay down and watch other episodes where they’re happily love each other and that ‘probability’ will never gonna happen!

Thoughts on 6x12

Does anyone else feel like the baby plotline was a little forced? I mean I like the fact that Jake and Amy are discussing kids, but it would have been a better plotline if it would have been before they had gotten married. Overall, I really just hope that the writers aren’t setting up for a divorce. 

On the other hand, I really enjoyed the bomb threat side plot and how Jake handled it. Finding out that Pam was the bomber was really interesting.

I kinda wanna write a big rant review about b99 6x12, because I’m so pissed off at how they treated the kids issue and Jake’s feelings about it. But then again, I’m too lazy to do it. But if anyone wants to discuss it my inbox is open :)

I think the main problem with 6x12 was that it was too much for a 20-minute episode.

Jake changing his mind about having kids makes sense: he made the impression before that he wants kids, and it's understandable that his fears would come up when the topic gets serious. it also makes sense that he would realise all the things he said in the end. what doesn't make sense is that all this would happen in a few hours, during which 1) Amy says she would probably leave him if they won't have kids, and 2) he almost gets blown up by an old lady.

Amy saying she needs Jake to decide soon, because if they can't agree on kids, she would like to move on is also completely valid and understandable. if they can't get on the same side, it really would be better for both of them to go separate ways. but since she just blurted out she would leave him and it doesn't get addressed again, it's very weird and bad.

they both had very real and understandable feelings and reasons, but this topic needs a much better and bigger conversation than they could manage at a hospital while protecting a criminal. it really should have been streched out over the course of at least 2-3 episodes.

I just watched 6x12 and honestly the funniest thing is when Amy and Jake are having that structured debate, and Holt is on the phone with Kevin, and when Jake says he always seeks a paternal figure in a particular person (meaning of course Holt), Amy says “Holt”, Raymond says “me” and you can faintly hear Kevin say “Raymond”, in such a natural manner, like we almost forgot he was on the phone but then 😂
