B. MONROE ; CLIFFNOTES
Born Sylvia Monroe, goes by Birdie because she was super small and looked like an ugly bird at birth.
Birdie is a twinless twin. When her and Lucille (her sister) were ten, they got caught up in a riptide at a New Jersey beach - they both drowned. Birdie was resuscitated and lived, her sister was recovered too late.
Her mother is a cop, her father is an exotic animal veterinarian. She is a librarian.
Her favorite music genre is metal, with a preference for bands like Metallica, Dio, Black Sabbath, and White Zombie - but she does listen to other bands and genres. (She's also really fond of Woodkid, The Killers, and Ludo.)
Her aesthetic is very cottage-core. She loves photography.
Because she is originally an OC for the video game The Quarry, there are two basic more recent histories for her that are important, depending on verses she's in. Base information is as follows: She was hired as a counselor for Hackett's Quarry Summer Camp as a favor to Travis Hackett, as he and her mother were both law enforcement officers in nearby counties.
Background One, Modern w/ Supernatural aspects: Follows the course of the game - there's a werewolf problem on the campgrounds and the counselors get caught up in it. Birdie spends most of this time with Frank (@pseudodead), hiding from the werewolves on the water in a small boat. This verse has the 'better' ending, where the teens survive the night, kill the original werewolf, are arrested and later set free by law enforcement when evidence clears them of their crimes.
Background Two, Basic Modern: This is a non-supernatural verse. Instead of werewolves, the Hackett family are that kind of slasher movie type family that you see on film. Birdie spends most of her time in this verse (still) hiding with Frank in various spots, occasionally having to help him fight for both their lives. This verse has the ending being that the teens survive the night, killing the Hackett family, and are arrested but later set free by law enforcement over evidence proving them innocent.
Regardless, in both of these verses Birdie has developed nyctophobia (fear of night). Supernatural/Game Canon verse also has her being afraid of full moons.
She's also developed an 'unhealthy' relationship with Frank (again, located at @pseudodead). He is her rock, her support, and has come to, in a way, replace her twin sister in her heart.
Because of Frank's influence, while she is very kind, her morals are a little screwy. He hunts and kills people for fun, a regular slasher villain, and she waits for him to come for visits and cleans his clothes, takes care of his injuries. She knows what he does, but doesn't care. Frank is a goddamn serial killer, but she still loves him dearly and is more than willing to look past it.
Art of Birdie and Frank.

Ten at night, and maybe Birdie shouldn't have had that last drink. She's not drunk, but she is tipsy enough to make her walk home a little more tedious. Dizzy enough that she's dropping into a bus stop shelter for a little bit of a breather. Cheeks flushed pink as she leans into the plexiglass wall and lazily pulls out her phone to check for a few texts.
Nothing from Frank, so nothing at all. Go figure. Birdie's nose wrinkles as she thinks of her Frank, his annoyance over her extended trip, and the almost silent treatment that followed. Sure, he looked at her check-in texts, read every single update she gave, but the silence was getting worrisome, and soon she knew she was going to have to call him and beg for forgiveness. Or something. And as much as Birdie loves Frank - she's not looking forward to his clipped responses and eventual question of 'when are you coming home?'
"He'll get over it. He loves me." She decides to herself, in a voice that's perhaps too loud. Phone clattering to the pavement as she tries to stuff it back into her pocket. "Ah, crud."

"Do you think you'll get married?" Birdie's voice is dreamy, soft. Her gaze firmly on the figure of both their attentions - Eddie Munson, shirtless and struggling to put the canoes away. For her part, the brunette doesn't look like she's ogling as much as she just watching, a little fascinated with how he'd brushed them off to do it himself and yet - was still struggling.

@whorrcr  ;  EDDIE for BIRDIE
“I’m jealous of all the people that can see you every day.”  /  meme
They’re missing their third, Freyja having slipped out of the bed hours earlier with a murmuring of goodbyes and apologies that Birdie only halfheartedly remembered. Too busy tucking herself into the space she’d left, and against Eddie’s chest. Eyes glued shut by sleep as she made herself comfortable on the stained bedsheets of his bed, and fell back immediately into a sleep that was needed, a sleep that she truly rarely got at all. Something deep, and refreshing, and nightmareless.
But that had been then, hours earlier, and now she was waking up - sort of. Riding that fine line of asleep and awake that she adored as much as she hated. Sleepy eyes opening a crack to watch as dust danced through streets of morning light. Ears turning out the early morning sounds of the trailer park, and the nature just beyond it, in favor of the sound of her pillow’s quiet breathes, his steady heartbeat. Listening to her favorite sound - the sounds of life - and content to do little else. Content to breathe, and listen to him breathe, and coexist in a moment of peace before the world catches up to them.
It doesn’t take long, however, for the world to become real. For a quiet, utterance, a confession into the early morning silence to slap her in the face. To snag in the slowly turning wheels of her tired mind, and leave her brain stuttering. Sputtering. Her breath catching as she tilts her head up to look at what she can see of him. The line of his jaw, the pursing of his lips, the faint fluttering of his eyelashes as he stares at the ceiling, and gently plays with her loose curls.
“Eddie,” And it pains her to see his eyes close. Clench. His jaw twitch as he prepares for - for what? More accidental cruelty from her, perhaps. Accidental jabs that had never meant to hit him. She licks her lips and pushes herself up. Lays her head next to his on the pillow and smiles. “How about... You pick me up from work from now on? I’m mostly doing nights now so... After your classes, and your club and - band practice, you can drive me home..?”

Astrology Observation #5
by : Brielledoesastrology (tumblr)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
finally another quite long astrology observation post that i havent made in like 1 year maybe.... Also happy halloween guys 🎃✨
- Brielle
Pisces mars really gotta be careful. I am being for real. These people have a really hard time realizing or knowing who their enemies are and who aren't. Most of them also can have anger or emotional breakdowns for things that they imagine themself or things that aren't even real. These are the type of people that suddenly hate you for no actual reason. This placement is the definition of "sometimes delulu is not always the selulu." They are also the type of people to start a whole drama or fight first because of their own delusions that aren't even real and then end up blaming other people.
.
Asteroid Klio (84) is such an underrated huge fame indicator/potential asteroid that people rarely talk about here in this community. This is the type of fame that is until history, the type of fame that makes someone a historical figure, or at least remembered in history.
.
I noticed a lot of pluto in the 7th house people enjoy admiring other people from social media. Sometimes they also enjoy following social media trends from following other people too especially stuff relating to skin care or makeup or anything else that they will think to give them that "glow up". (These types of influence will be stronger if the pluto is aspecting venus too). On the other hand if they aren't admiring they could easily be jealous or envying those people who they think that looks or are doing better than themself. Or They could easily attract jealousy or envy from other people too (beware of attracting people that drains u)
.
I've seen asteroid toro (1685) being prominent in the astrology natal charts of a lot of people that are bullies or being bullied or being accused of bullying. The asteroid was not named after a mythological figure but a person, but it really resonates with its Spanish meaning. "Toro" is "bull" in spanish. Usually if they aren't being bullied or a bully they usually have this intimidating look to people.
example of people who have asteroid toro (1685) prominent in their chart :
- Rihanna has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her mars (0 orb)
(accused of being a mean girl)
- Kim Garam has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her mercury (0 orb)
(accused of bullying)
- Cardi B has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her mercury (1 orb)
(accused of being a mean girl)
- Hailey Bieber has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her midheaven (1 orb)
( the public always accuses her of bullying or being a mean girl even for the pettiest reason )
- Marilyn Monroe has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her sun (2 orb)
(From early on, Monroe was reputed to be difficult: bullied by misogynistic directors, and frustrated at her lack of control, she was cited as debilitatingly late and forgetful. Zanuck suspended Monroe in 1954 when she frustratedly refused yet another pin-up role)
.
I noticed most people with mars in gemini use the "spread rumors" (either fake or real ones) tactics for revenge or if they feel offended by something or someone. I am not surprised since gemini is ruled by mercury and mercury represents "communications" in general. But it works differently than virgo.
.
Mars in virgo revenge tactics are more into gathering proofs or receipts (either fake or real ones) then making it very detailed and very specific compared to mars in gemini .
.
I noticed both of the top male n female rappers in the rap game got asteroid hannibal (2152) prominent in their chart. Especially strongly aspecting mercury and 3rd house placements.
- Nicki minaj have asteroid hannibal (2152) conjunct her mercury and conjunct her neptune on sagittarius all on 0 orb.
- Eminem have asteroid hannibal (2152) conjunct his moon in aquarious in 1 orb in the 3rd house.
(for a context the asteroid hannibal is named after hannibal barca which he was the no.1 most greatest and most feared enemy of the roman empire)
.
I see so many people with Gemini moons really don't have a problem posting their emotions in social media publicly so all people can see. I also saw most of these people are very bad at keeping things privately to themselves. They can't really "cry or suffer in private" usually most of the time because of their own behavior.
.
Scorpio placements are not always private or very introverted like what most people say about the sign. I have seen many scorpio placements who just say what they think bluntly n they don't care if other people think that it is too deep or dark or offensive.
.
Fun fact : Did you know that the name asteroid Swift (5035) exactly conjunct taylor swift's sun in her astrology natal chart! Name asteroids r really interesting!!!!
.
This is controversial to say, but i have to say it. Not all women or girls who have lilith (1181) or black moon lilith (h13) prominent in their charts are a "girls girl / supporting each other women" or a "feminist". It is because most people with Black moon lilith (h13) or asteroid lilith (1181) have at least ever experienced a very long phase of their life of being cast out of a social group (well obviously this can be done by both genders either males or females social groups casting them out ).
.
But most of the time i see that for the Women or Girls who have Black moon lilith (h13) or asteroid lilith (1181) prominent in their chart have ever been at least ever experienced a very long phase of their life of being casted out by a social group of their female friends (most of the time because their female friends did something terrible/bad to them that leads the h13 lilith/1181 lilith women or girl being or feeling casted out from their group). This could lead to internalized misogyny about their feelings of women if they grew up without fixing this issue.
.
This is weird but i have seen many many many men who have venus - pluto in square, opposition or even conjunctions ended up being incels.

Loath as she is to admit it (even if the thought is simply to herself), Birdie Monroe has found herself without a tether. Her wanderings having led her too far from the comforts of her home and country - and farther still from those she called family. Love for them not lost, being seemingly placed aside as she slipped through countries, collecting stamps on her passport like she once did strays.
It's not a terrible and horrible thing, she knows that. Wanderlust did have it's perks, or so they said, but for a woman that's always had something to hold onto... It's discomforting. It causes her enough unease that, once the thought hits her, she's unable to shake it. Mind suddenly wide awake as she tosses and turns in worn sheets, unable to find momentary peace in the shape of too-little sleep.
And so, she moves, from a bed with springs that squeaked, to a balcony that overlooked certain warfare, a city fighting to keep itself independent. Elbows pressing to a railing that had seen too much paint and not enough care, leaning over it to count the few lights that still lit Verdansk. Her breath and heart calm and steady, even as shots rung in the distance, and a voice crept out from the dark apartment behind her.
"Can't sleep?"
The voice, deep and gravely, more a growl than perhaps really a voice, belongs to a man - a friend. An oddity of a being, a real-life tragedy made of melted flesh and ruined bone. Someone that was taller than her by a foot, and twice her weight at the least. A man that had a tendency to disassociate, and often referred to himself in plural thirds - someone that was probably dangerous, and wanted, and yet she trusted him as easily as she did Frank. Letting him into her life, her (il)legally rented home, without question.
It's stupid, and yet, unbelievably her. The lesson about strange and dangerous men often forgot about when she saw someone that had a lot of hurt.
"I've been thinking," It's rude, but she doesn't answer his question. Smile soft, apologetic, and yet serene as she turns to peer up at him. Pressing her back against the rail, and meeting too-blue eyes without fear - and wisely ignoring the shadow that slunk out after him, the man that slipped out onto their balcony and into their company like a cat with a cracked door - that is to say unbidden. "I don't know anything about you, and it's a little unfair, I think." You as in plural, she's careful with how she says it, choosing to acknowledge not only the man (or men) in front of her, but all of him. "Will you tell me something, even something small?"
Will you let me tether myself to you, for at least for a little while?

🔥 + Touch for Birdy!
Okay. Fun. Birdie & Touch.
Nonsexually, touch is one of the most important senses for Birdie. She loves beauty, and she loves creating art but when it comes to people and what she needs socially? She's a touchy person. She'll hold the hands of friends, and kiss their cheeks when its time to split up. She'll lean into people when she's feeling tired, usually without hesitation. She's touchy, needy, afraid of being alone.
Sexually? In a NSFW, spicy time manner? Oof. There better be handholding, or she's going to be grabbing everywhere or anywhere she can on them to keep a physical connection in more than just - one place. Kisses are a must, kisses are going to happen anywhere and anywhere she can get her face to. She needs connection, and she needs to be both the giver and receiver of more than just - genitalia touching otherwise she's going to panic and cancel the whole thing. And she will just drop sex in the middle of it, don't doubt her.
It's just, incredibly important to her, being able to touch someone, and being touched in return. She needs that kind of connection in order to not feel alone, or unwanted. She will not ever be in a relationship with someone that isn't okay with physical contact, hell, she won't even be friends with someone who isn't okay with her touching them.

Laying down, with her head hanging off the bed, Birdie is a... sight. All mused curls and big green eyes, and a too-lose shirt that was partially covering her mouth. (It doesn't belong to her, the shirt, and it's obvious by the way it hangs.) "Your window isn't that hard to sneak out of, I think we should just go for it. A lil midnight skinny dipping never hurt anyone."

@divineviclence  ;  CONNOR the flash illuminating like lighting.  "good girl."  staring up at his model sitting pretty atop the broken staircase.  "I was wondering -"  pinning the polaroid's edge between gloved fingers before gently fanning it.  "have you thought about spraying your notes with perfume?" (ghostbirb ft. abandoned building photography?)
Birdie is fond of cameras, of photography, and in particular, is fond of old film and how it made the world around her look, but never before has she been the subject of her own photos - not seriously at least. Connor, though, Connor is serious about his art. Guiding her with large and gentle hands into the perfect pose as she sits on a broken staircase. Sweetening his guidance with praise that makes her cheeks flush pink, and her eyes unconsciously drift to meet his.
It’s times like these, where she feels strangely close to him, even with the distance put between them. A hobby he liked, something he shared with her freely, even made her the subject on. Praise and quiet fondness littering his words as they trespass into what had been a thriving building once. A workplace, or a home, she didn’t know. Didn’t care, not as long as he kept looking at her like that, as long as he kept handling her not with kid gloves, but still enough care to ensure her characteristic clumsiness didn’t end with a visit to a hospital.
“I -” Despite the frequency of it, his praise following a bright flash of light has her blinking back stars and blushing more. Pink turning to a light shade of red as she digests his words, and then takes a few moments to understand. The idea - the suggestion is unexpected, making her wet her lips. Having her pretty smile drop into something contemplative, brow furrowing. It sounding pleasant and sweet and more mature than the notes were. Something a lover would give, instead of a clumsy crush.
“Is... Is that okay? I know they give you a hard time about the notes as they are.” And yet, she still does them, and he still keeps them. “Would you like me to?”

She likes the way he explains it to her - simply, without any buffers. It was what it was, and although his voice was gentle, he was stern about it. The game had consequences, like life, and lessons could be learned from it - though she doubted many people did. Teenagers had a way of thinking they knew the world around them...
Her nose wrinkles, as if she's caught scent of something she hadn't before. "Sorry, years? What if. I mean, that's so long. How do you remember things? How do you keep interest for such a long time? Does it... Leave a hole when it's done?"
pseudolife:
Birdie doesn’t quite know what to make of any of it - it seemed fun, as all games did. There was fantasy and adventure and it was a story where the players could change the outcome - but it was also a game of numbers and dice rolling. Chance. And she can’t help but know her own bad luck when it came to things and wonder how awful it would feel to be put on the sidelines after a character death… “Do you ever have problems? Do people get… mad if they roll bad?”
“I mean, yeah, that happens. Usually they accept it, even if they didn’t like it.” It was a game, but in Eddie’s experience - it had never been like Monopoly - with someone getting so pissed they flipped the table over. Which was fairly surprising, considering it was even more time consuming than Monopoly. More personal, in his opinion. “It’s understandable. You get invested. I mean, it’s a story. A long, collaborative story that you and your friends navigate together. Some campaigns can take years, so you just… got to make the most of the time you have. You can achieve your goals, you can survive and you can die… but it’s not really a game where there are winners and losers. So. I guess that helps? There’s very little competitiveness, it’s all about teamwork. You fight together, you help and rely on each other - if someone has a bad roll, sometimes they can count in their friends to bail them out. Not to get all fake deep about it, but. Strip away all the fantasy elements, and it’s a good guide on how to get through life.”

I saw a post the other day that listed a number of facts about La Fayette and while I am more than just a bit skeptical with regards to some of these “facts”, I also hate to correct other people in such a manner. Anyway, there was one remark (well, actually two) that made me think in particular.
First, let us all say it together - La Fayette did not come to America disguised as a woman.
With that out of the way – Slavery. Just like in that post, La Fayette is often praised for his stance against slavery and for raising the topic with prominent slaveholders like Washington and Jefferson. And all that is true. La Fayette was against slavery, he spoke up for enslaved individuals, most notably James Armistead Lafayette, and spoke against the institution of slavery in general. He also let actions follow his words. Now, were all of his actions crowned with success – no. Where his ideas and approaches always the best ways to handle the problem – no. But he took an almost lifelong stance at a time when many people were content with saying nothing or even outright profiting from slavery.
Now, here is a point that brings the complexity and that many of these “have some random facts about La Fayette he was so great” posts not quite capture – and to be fair, that is also not what they are aiming for.
Slavery and the participation in the system were for La Fayette not necessarily deal brakers.
What do I mean by that? La Fayette owned land in Louisiana and was one day approached by John Gravier, who owned land nearby and wanted to buy some of La Fayette’s land. He offered La Fayette to pay either in “real” money or in enslaved people. La Fayette was frankly disgusted by the second proposal – and he wrote so in a letter to James Madison, a slaveholder and someone who, most likely, I am not an expert on Madison, also sold and bought enslaved people and maybe even used them as “barging chips” in some form of financial transaction. La Fayette urged Washington to join him in his plantation project because he was keenly aware of the mojo Washington’s participation could have. Washington refused and La Fayette did not seem to hold too many grudges. Was he disappointed? Probably, even likely – but he still looked up to Washington. I do not want to fire up this puppy-love narrative, but the fact remains, that La Fayette, until the end of his life, remembered Washington very fondly, praised, him, considered him a friend, mentor and even father-figure. He certainly was aware of the problem with Washington being a slaveholder, otherwise La Fayette would not have stirred up the topics that he did – but it was in the end no deal breaker for him. Same thing with people like Jefferson, Monroe or Madison. Jefferson is particular interesting since La Fayette wrote Jefferson many letters where he broached this topic. From the way these letters are phrased I often wonder if a) La Fayette thought Jefferson his friend and as such was determined to tell him everything on his mind, regardless of Jefferson’s own opinion on the matter, b) La Fayette believed Jefferson when the latter wrote that he actually was also against slavery, or c) La Fayette knew that he could write about everything and Jefferson could not protest without retracting his own statements.
Anyway, La Fayette could criticize slavery, quite harshly even, he could call enslavers criminals, he could spend a lot of time and money and effort to take actions and proof to the world that it could be done – but he could also call Washington the “patriarch of liberty”, praise Jefferson and assure both of them of his deep and everlasting affection. It also did not stop him from staying at plantations like Mount Vernon or Monticello. While he always travelled with a number of servants who were in his employ, free, and well paid, it is impossible to stay at a place like Mount Vernon, especially for an extended period of time, and not, in some shape or for, profit from the labour of the enslaved workers there. We do not know what La Fayette thought about that, if it maybe even reinforce his views. We do know that he raised the subject of slavery and abolition when he met Jefferson and Washington in person – but when it came to his friends, it was not a deal breaker for him. He definitly used his friendships to be an influence on Washington, Jefferson and the likes and we can not look into his head to see what his motives or thoughts were in regards to this topic. Human relations are often a web of complex emotions.
I do not want to downplay what he did, but we should also not forget that his engagement was not perfect, he was not perfect – and with that I thank you all for listening to my little rant. :-)

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Birdie is wishing very hard that Eddie would return to them while they were still talking about marriage - she wanted to know his opinion on tuxedos. Wanted to know if he'd still wear a chained wallet with it, if he'd slick back his hair into a ponytail or let it run wild. Really wants to know if he'd ask Chrissy's parents for their permission beforehand - or if he'd runaway bride her to Vegas.
But alas, he's collecting life jackets now, and Birdie doesn't even bother disguising her sigh of disappointment.
"I'm happy for you. It's - It's a little Jane Austin, you two." This time, her sigh is a little romantic, a little envious. That mischievous look of hers melting into something soft and sweet as she looks at the other girl again. "I'm a little jealous, actually. Not in like - a mean way just - it's cute. You're cute. I want someone to come sweep me away from all my troubles - boy or girl, it doesn't matter."
Tumblr media
---☁︎。⋆。 Chrissy was still wide-eyed and flustered as her friend continued to talk. Naturally, she had thought about marriage with Eddie- But they were young, and freshly dating. "Thank you," she squeaked. Chrissy was beet red and staring wide-eyed at Eddie, willing him not to come over lest Birdie ambush him with things as well. "I don't think we would have to sedate him," the blonde reasoned. "If I asked, he'd do it. Wear a tux. I think he'd be so handsome." Chrissy smiled at the idea, leaning into the conversation with Birdie. "Thank you. I really love him a lot."

@pseudodead ; FRANK to BIRDIE about HUNTER "I mean yeah he’s evil and all but what if I were his favorite?”
"Frank," Her fingers are gentle as she plucks the beer bottle from his fingers, her hand kind as it smooths across his browline, through short hair. "You're my favorite person, and I love you," And she means it, with her whole heart. Honestly and kindness on her features as she puts the bottle down and turns to touch him again. Push him gently back down into the hammock they'd both been on before she'd gotten up for a glass of water. Tucking him in beneath the soft red blanket she'd dragged outside when she'd come back. "But maybe you've had a little much to drink and need to sleep now."

HEADCANON DROP ; BIRDIE MONROE
Birdie is modest about her tattoos in public situations, and for the most part has them covered up. a reminder of what she has going on as far as tattoos go: three red hearts on her right hip, black stylized anatomically correct heart outline with flowers coming from it on her left upper arm, fern with some flowers under her right breast in black ink, outline of a heart made of barbed wire on the back of her right thigh, ‘fuck them’ written in a black typewriter font just below the crease of her elbow on her left arm.
that being said… she’s not modest about nudity in semi-public or private situations. she loves to skinny dip. if it’s sunny out, and you show up at her house unannounced, there’s a 90/10 shot she’s free boobin’ it in the yard, trying to combat her farmer’s tan with sunbathing nude.
she will make your muse a friendship bracelet if she likes them enough. and yes, the style and colors used will match their general vibe.
an incredibly good shot with a gun, thanks to frequent hunting trips with her mother. can also skin and harvest meat from animals without breaking a sweat or looking phased.
certified for wilderness medical emergencies - aka emergency first aid while away from civilization.
often fostering litters of kittens and their mamas, she always names them after food.
loves photography, collects old fashioned cameras, and often has a polaroid camera in her bag.
hobbies include: scrapbooking, embroidery, making her own clothes from recycled thrifted clothing, collecting weird trinkets, cooking but not baking because she’s shit at it, thrift shopping.
likes all kinds of music but country, her favorite is metal.
afraid of the dark, typically doesn't go out alone after sunset.
her mom’s a police officer, and her father is a veterinarian.
was helicopter-parented by her mother until she turned twenty.
works at the library. reads too much. will probably recommend romance novels to anyone that comes around.
very emotional, and cries pretty easily. cuddly, very loving even to friends.
