I was rewatching Yakitate!! Japan Episode 68 just earlier (the one where Kuroyanagi had the reaction to Azuma and Yukino’s tarts that led to everyone parodying Lord Of The Rings for that episode) and I realized how fitting it was that Meister Kirisaki (as Meistrof) was the one that called out for Yukino Azusagawa (as Snowza) to appear.
Considering how it was established WAYYYY back in the Pantasia Newcomers’ Tournament arc that Meister Kirisaki himself had tried investigating into Yukino’s sabotage attempts at the semifinals (and failed because Yukino was able to cover up evidence *just* enough and also play the “innocent granddaughter” front in front of her own grandfather/the owner of Pantasia itself), I just found it funny that Meister (as Meistrof) gets to call out Yukino to come out as herself (or a version of herself as Snowza) in her true colors as a horrible person with nothing to hide. And sure, he gets frozen by her shortly afterwards and Azuma eventually defeats her himself with the loquat stuck to him, but I just found that scene fitting for the dynamic Meister and Yukino had with each other.
It also makes me want to write a fanfic with those two involved, likely in the Lord of the rings/loquat-related context but I think it could be fun!

⚔ - NOTP with your muse?
OOC: A definite NOTP is Sylvan KirisakixYukino Azusagawa from Yakitate!! Japan, hands down.
I mean, it’s implied in CANON (rather explicitly in the manga if not too explicitly in the anime) that Yukino was in a sexual relationship with Yuiichi Kirisaki, WHO IS SYLVAN’S DAD. If Yukino were to start hitting on Sylvan, I’m just—no. No no no no no.
I don’t even understand how the heck Yukino ended up hooking up with Yuiichi Kirisaki in the first place, I just...ick. That was the worst part of the manga/anime series for me, for sure. I can’t help but grimace whenever I think of Yukino because of how horrible she is...

The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done! is being adapted into a winter 2018 anime. It's offered in English by BookWalker, who describes it
The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done! is a story about a teenage boy named Yaichi Kuzuryu who happens to be the strongest shogi player in history, holding the top title of "Ryuo"(Dragon King). One fateful day, shogi-loving elementary student, Ai Hinatsuru, appears before him claiming that he promised to be her master. But was such a promise really ever made? Thus began their master and disciple relationship!
Originally published by SB Creative, The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done! took the number one spot on the "Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi" 2017 light novel rankings. SB Creative also announced earlier this month that the animated series will air in January 2018.
86 by Shirabi and Asato is described
For a long time this country was attacked by its neighbor, the Empire, which created a series of unmanned military vehicles called the Legion. In response to the threat, the Republic successfully completes the development of similar technology and reflects the enemy's attack, having managed to do without casualties. But this is... the official version. In fact, there were victims. Outside of 85 districts of the Republic there was actually another one. "The non-existent 86th district." It was there that day and night continued the battles in which young men and women from the detachment known as Eighty-Six participated—they fought in drones... Sheen directs the actions of young suicide bombers while on the battlefield. Lena is a "curator" who commands a detachment from a remote rear with the help of special communication. The farewell story of the severe and sad struggle of these two begins!
Infinite Dendrogram by is offered in English by J-Novel Club
In the year 2043, Infinite Dendrogram, the world's first successful full-dive VRMMO was released. In addition to its ability to perfectly simulate the five senses, along with its many other amazing features, the game promised to offer players a world full of infinite possibilities. Nearly two years later, soon-to-be college freshman, Reiji Mukudori, is finally able to buy a copy of the game and start playing. With some help from his experienced older brother, Shu, and his partner Embryo, Reiji embarks on an adventure into the world of Infinite Dendrogram. Just what will he discover and encounter in this game world known for its incredible realism and infinite possibilities?
Seishun Buta Yarou by Pet Girl of Sakurasou authors Hajime Kamoshjida and Keijo Mizoguchi is described
"Hey, shall we kiss?" She who was teasing me with these seductive words temporarily disappeared before my eyes.
There could not be a bunny girl inhabiting a library. Azusagawa Sakuta faced a scene that toppled common sense—he encountered a bunny girl, and she is nowhere a normal bunny girl. She is Sakurajima Mai senpai, a student studying at the same school as Sakuta and a retired yet renowned actress. It was said that starting from a few days ago, those around her could no longer see her anymore, and she came to the library just to confirm this. Is this related to the hit topic on the internet, the unimaginable phenomenon known as "the puberty syndrome"? Sakuta, wanting to know the reasons behind and get closer to Mai, decided to solve the puzzle. However, the situation then developed in an unexpected way?
In the city surrounded by the skies and the seas, the romance story of I and she began. The brand new romantic comedy presented by the Sakurasou combo.
Remake our Life - Let's time-travel to 10 years ago and renjoy creative and sweet youthfyk days
Jaku Chara Tomozaki-kun by Yuuki Yaku and Fly is described
This is a walkthrough of life (a shitty videogame)! Life is a bad video game. This cliche phrase is, sadly, a reality. However, life doesn’t have simple, easy rules. What it does have is irrationality and inequality. The strong say that they have a lot of freedom, but the weak have no choice but to live an overwhelmingly disadvantaged lifestyle. Therefore, it’s a shit game. There’s no mistake because I, the best gamer in Japan, declare it to be shit. —However, that person, who is on the same level as me, goes around saying “Life is a great game.” The school’s perfect, strong-willed heroine, Hinami Aoi. Furthermore, “I’ll teach you the rules of life (game)”? … Normally, I wouldn’t believe in those words. However, Hinami Aoi is a character that doesn’t even fit in a normal frame at all!
Seirei Gensouki - Konna Sekai de Deaeta Kimi ni by Yuri Kitayama and Riv is described
Amakawa Haruto is a young man who died before reuniting with his childhood friend who disappeared five years ago. Rio is a boy living in the slums who wants revenge for his mother who was murdered in front of him when he was five years old. Earth and another world. Two people with completely different backgrounds and values. For some reason, the memories and personality of Haruto who should've died is resurrected in Rio's body. As the two are confused over their memories and personalities fusing together, Rio (Haruto) decide to live in this new world. Along with Haruto's memories, Rio awakens an unknown "special power," and it seems that if he uses it well, he can live a better life. But before that, Rio encountered a kidnapping that turns out to be two princesses of the Bertram Kingdom that he lives in. After saving the princesses, Rio is given a scholarship to the Royal Academy, a school for the rich and powerful. Being a poor orphan in a school of nobles turns out to be an extremely detestable place to be.
Honzuki no Gekokujou by Miya Kazuki and Suzuka is described
Reino, a book-loving college student who just got her librarian certification, was just hired to be a librarian at a large university library. Just before graduating and entering the job of her dreams, she was killed by a massive earthquake crushing her underneath a pile of her own books. Wishing for reincarnation in order to read evermore, she got reincarnated to a world with a low literacy rate and very few books, limited only to the nobility. As she reincarnated as the daughter of a lowly soldier, no matter how much she wants to read there there are no books within her reach. If there are no books then what do you do? Why, you make them yourself, of course! Her goal is to become the librarian of her own library! In order to live a life surrounded by books, she starts by making books.

I used to be a normal high school girl but in the blink of an eye, I woke up in a place I've never seen before and-and I was reborn as a spider?! How could something that's nothing more than a tiny spider (that's me) possibly survive in literally the worst dungeon ever? Are there no rules? There should be some rules! Who the hell is responsible for this? SHOW YOUR FACE!
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime by Fuse is licensed by Yen Press

Mushoku Tensei by Rifujin na Magonote and Shirotaka is described
A 34-year-old NEET otaku, chased out from his house by his family, found that his life is reaching a dead end. He then recalled that his life could actually have been much better if he had made better choices in the past. Just when he was at the point of regret, he saw a truck moving at fast speed, and three high schoolers in its path. Mustering all the strength he had, he tried to save them and ended getting run over by the truck, quickly ending his life. The next time he opened his eyes, he is reincarnated to a world of sword and magic as Rudeus Greyrat. Born to a new world, a new life, Rudeus decided that, "This time, I'll really live my life to the fullest with no regret!" Thus starts the journey of a man yearning to restart his life.
Majo no Tabitabi by Jougi Shiraishi and Azuru is described
In a certain place, there was a traveler witch. Her name was Elaina. Being a traveler, she came across many people and countries while continuing her long, long journey. A country that only accepted magicians, a muscle loving giant, a youth wanting to return the lover from the grasp of death, a Princess left alone in the ruined country, and the story of witch herself up until now and from now on. While meeting unbelievably odd people and experiencing beautiful moments of some, now, even now, the witch keeps spinning the tale of meeting and parting. “Please don’t mind it. Hiruma Youichi (because senpai is cool ya-ha! Okay sry)
The character you never expected to love so much:
Agasa-hakase (at first, he’s meh, but but but how he cares for queen Ai-kun is perf)
Kanmuri Shigeru (I liked him already when he was introduced but no no no not to this extent maybe I just have a weakness for genius)
Kobayakawa Sena (I usually don’t like spineless main chara but but but senaaaaaa)
The character you relate to most:
Haibara Ai (current height to actual age ratio lol jk but she’s full of contradictions i love her)
Kawachi Kyousuke (srsly I react to anything)

Shinichi Kudo/Edogawa Conan (I still like him, though not as much…)
Matsushiro Ken (his chara was kinda put on the back-burner in the mid-late chaps, sadly…)
Taki Suzuna (because it was fine until she occupied the late panels which could have been for best girl Anezaki Mamori huhuhu)
A character you did not like at first, but they’ve grown on you:
Kuroba Kaito (I’m not rly fond of magicians but huhu this precious precious kid)
Coo (HAHAHA sorry but i rly didn’t like the bird at first but well birds are pretty and ahem Hatoful Boyfriend lel)
Raimon Tarou (huhu, bb acts/is stupid but has times of depth as well????? ????????? Also Juumonji Kazuki and Yukimitsu Manabu but huhu monta wins by just a little bit huhuhu)
3 OTPs: Again, I’m guessing the first one’s the true otp lol totp? ottp? Sorry, don’t mind me, this is why I don’t have friends?
CoAi, ShinShi, ConAi (HAHAHA okay srsly anyone or anything with sass queen Haibara Ai/Miyano Shiho, I ship as in you know coai can actually stand for coffee x ai lel)

Morning
A girl is sitting at the couch, alone in the dark. Strawberry blonde locks fall across her face, making it difficult to see her expression. Has she fallen asleep on the couch again? The quiet intruder fetches a blanket and carefully drapes it on the girl. She doesn’t stir, and he wears an expression of exasperation, though a fond smile makes it way on his face and stays.
For a while, he stands motionless, just staring at her. But the break of dawn is near, and he must go—he visited this early only to check on her after all, however much he tries to convince himself otherwise. But he needs to do one last thing, for himself too, later, he thinks, but he almost laughs at how absurd he’s acting, sneaking into his friend’s house just to make coffee for a grumpy old lady. He smirks—she’d hate it if I told her—then flushes—no, this is NOT for her—as he shuffles around the kitchen and fusses over the coffeemaker.
He leaves as silently as he had come.
They meet moments later in the same house. As she brings the cup of coffee to her face, she takes in its aroma with her eyes closed, and she smiles a full second. A scene he first witnessed three days ago when he stayed over and prepared coffee. His undoing.
The rim reaches her lips and she drinks. As the cup is placed back on the saucer, the usually frigid air around her during mornings has considerably warmed, which, for a few days now, is seemingly becoming her new norm.
Today, though, she raises her brow at him, asking, “Problem?”
Countless. How about you, do you only ever smile at pets and... coffee???
He brings his own cup down, answering, “Nothing. Nothing at all.”

ISML 2022: Eru Chitanda Wins Necklace
ISML 2022: Eru Chitanda Wins Necklace Houtarou Oreki Takes Pendant In Hyouka Sweep
By Jo-Ryan Salazar The Bedlam On Baltic Avenue 5 January 2023
The last match day before the Eliminations Period in the 2022 International Saimoe League, Amethyst Match Day 6, is complete. As expected, Hu Tao and Raiden Ei, the Raiden Shogun of Inazuma, will settle it for the right to be the best saimoekko in all of Teyvat. Hu Tao eased past Ganyu 3605-2468, while Raiden dusted off Ayaka Kamisato 3348-2638. Based on results, all signs point to a close win for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor director, but don't tell that to Tao.
"Raiden is a powerful Electro Archon for a reason," said Hu Tao while being asked for her thoughts by local media from Liyue and Mondstadt. "I know that I cannot underestimate the momentum she brings from having all of Inazuma under her command. As for me, I believe that I am capable of representing the hopes and dreams of not only Liyue, but all of Teyvat. Zhongli knows that I have waited all my life for this moment. I can't stop now!"
"Inazuma shines eternal, but so too does saimoe shine eternal," said Ei from a press conference in Inazuma City next to her own statue. "I believe that my centuries of leadership and battle-hardened resolve, combined with my renewed energy and drive upon casting the die with the Traveler, shall prove to the world that I can represent Teyvat with a strength and unshakable belief in my people. No matter where you are, or whose side you are on, I will be sure to let the whole world know that when all is said and done, Saimoe Shines Eternal!"
The final is scheduled for 8 January 2023 on InternationalSaimoe.com.

Elaina, 2022 ISML Saimoe Prime Minister
Good morning, afternoon, evening, wherever you are in the world. My name is Elaina, the Wandering Witch. I will be your Saimoe Prime Minister for the 2022 session, succeeding Yukino Yukinoshita. Prior to, I began my work as Speaker of the Saimoe Diet and it is apparent that my work has been rewarded with your trust. I would like to first take this time to congratulate Mikoto Misaka on a well-fought race and for a strong campaign. Her work as a longtime Saimoe champion must be honored and respected, as she is a role model for many heroes of our time. Thank you, Mikoto, for lighting the way.
I want to start with a little story about myself. I grew up well off, well versed in magic, naive and not knowing what it felt to fall short. In the past, I tried to cheat to get to where I needed to be, but then I realized that this is not how I want to be remembered as. I believe that fairness is key, and knowing that learning from failure will lead to improving one-self, and become successful. I believe that we can do better as men and women of principles and ideals, and that allowed me to craft my platform and my mission, ideals and principles that I hope all will use in the coming months ahead.
As I had championed when beginning my term, good government and resolute diversity was my platform then, and will be my platform now. Balance and moderate resolution are principles that I will champion as your Saimoe Prime Minister. I plan to hear all sides and all arguments and encourage my cabinet, my team of lawmakers, to provide effective solutions to alleviate the world's problems.
You know full well that I can't solve every problem or dilemma, and it takes a full team to save our movement from elimination. So I plan to bring in the best people from our Diet to steer forward a game plan that we can all agree on. You know that when it comes to my leadership, women's rights matter. Feminism, tolerance, and the celebration of who you are and to never be judged on who you are and who you will be is what gets me motivated for what we are about to encounter. Never stop being you. Whether you are a man, a woman, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, no matter your orientation, no matter who you choose to love, your ideals, your principles, your happiness in inviolate. Invincible. And you know this. You know this.
So, my dear brothers and sisters in the cause, let us rise up to a new tomorrow. A tomorrow where the coronavirus pandemic becomes harnessed, and controlled. Where the world can become able to heal, to renew, to re-energize. Where the wars of petty factions can cease, and the magic of love and hope can spread the wings of the downtrodden, allowing them to take flight into the future.
I want to take this time to thank people who pushed me forward. My teacher, Fran, the rock of my studies and who I still remember fondly. My mother Victorica, for raising me, and my father. I want to thank Saya, who will be working with me in the cabinet this coming session, for arranging my campaign and working hard to get me over the line. And to Sheila and Mina, you have also been wonderful in your work and have done well, and your efforts have been rewarded.
One more person I would like to congratulate before I close off this short speech is Sakuta Azusagawa, husband of Ms. Mai Sakurajima. Sakuta, you were unlucky to fall short last year against Miyuki Shirogane. But your wife believed in you. We all did. We always did. And so you never gave up and used your defeat to come back stronger. And here you are, a Deputy Saimoe Prime Minister who will working with me to celebrate and foster the great things people can do to spread love, hope, happiness and healing. You and Mai will be great additions to my team. Let's all work together to get things done.
In closing, I will close this statement with a maxim. The great Ellen Pompeo, or Dr. Meredith Grey, once said, “And sometimes, against all odds, against all logic, we still hope.” Believe in the power of love so you can keep hope alive, and be the gift that keeps on giving. The Saimoe movement has been good to all of us. And so, as you continue your own battles, your own adventures, know full well that we are here for you, to be an inspiration, to motivate you to be at your best. You give us our support and will pay it back and forward. That is my promise, that is our promise. We will do our best to make this year one you will remember, no matter the cost.
So will that, I hope you have a great week, month, year and life. May God bless you, and may God bless Japan and the world. Good night.
-Elaina
