I have an original 1994 Kurahi manga by Tohru Azumi, it's in Japanese so I'm not positive what the name is but i think its Hanagatami. It says Kotobukitei on the back. If you don't already have this one in the archive I could scan the pages for you. :)

This blog is so important to me! Finding that there was an active part of the YYH fandom AND one where Yusuke/Kurama have a sizeable support has gotten me back into the fandom and also inspired me to start working on a Kurameshi multi-chap I've had in my head for a while but held off on writing bc I didn't think anyone would wanna read it. Anyways, you and this blog are a gift!!

I’m delighted that this blog inspires the content you’re about to create! 

They make me happy and by having this blog and sharing/creating content, I also hoped to make people happy. 

I’ve shipped them for a long time now...

Truth be told, when I was first getting into the yyh “fandom” (idk if it was called like that at the time) I was frenquently in forums (I used to write fics for starters), and I thought that I would be judged by I liking them as a couple. I mean. I was literally afraid of talking about them.

Also because my writing was kinda lame and i didn’t draw almost anything...

It was there that in one of the Forums, in one specific yaoi (i discovered yaoi thanks to this lol) discussion one user started making a pic spam of different doujinshi covers (i didn’t know what a doujin was either, yet, shit idk anything) and I saw one of Azumi Tohru’s pic and I got obsessed with it. It was the first drawing I saw of them as a couple. It was the one they were surrounded by roses and Kurama has like a red thread in his mouth that went along Yusuke’s neck.

I got so inspired by it that I started drawing them more frequently.

Years passed, I started posting various drawings of different fandoms in Deviantart then Tumblr and it wasn’t until I did this (i found this one in Google lmao searching for my old usernames) 

that I finally started to feel comfortable to start showing actual kurameshi content, and people received it quite well. It made me happy.

 So...

I guess what I’m trying to say with my own history lesson is that I understand that you were feeling like no one would care about your creations, that no one would be interested, but you don’t have to care too much about that. You keep on showing what you enjoy. There’s always someone who will appreciate what you do. Whether if they are one or two people, that’s enough. You have some one who can share your interests with. I was there but I’ve overcome my fears and thanks to them I am now so comfortable in the way I draw- not only yyh but anything that I want to draw--
