Varshahn:
Estinien:
Varshahn:
Estinien: . . . So, those are dragon scales.
Varshahn: yeah what about it HUH
Estinien: Did y'all . . . ?
Varshahn: . . . imprison or kill a dragon to get them like SOME countries would? No.
Estinien:
Estinien: ok cool
Varshahn: cool
Estinien: Good.
Varshahn: Good.
Estinien is then kidnapped by the Thavnair alchemists, complaining loudly the whole way, and no one knows if he's putting up with it cause Scion duties and this is just how he plays nice - he bitched all the way to Hraesvelgr, after all - or if he genuinely just forgot he could jump
Meanwhile, in the meghaduta
Vrtra: hey Ahewann cancel DEFCON 1, this guy is cool. Total softy. Also kind of a dumbass. Of course I'll be glad to help clean up, I'm not going to make the maids clean up dragon piss. Ahem. Did I ever tell you about my brother Nidhogg? Yeah, the one I've avoided answering for a thousand years. Uh, well, yeah the dramatic asshole who went off the deep end, yes. Him. Too be fair it was about our sister, Ratatoskr - yeah, oh I'm actually really glad you remember what I said about her! She was a lot like . . . No, it's fine to interrupt, I got lost in memories for a second there. Ummmm, yes, I suppose it has influenced why I . . . hestitate telling everyone I'm the satrap. But Nidhogg took it way too far, yeah. He used to be a cool big brother, I swear. Knew how to get under everyone's skin, didn't put up with bullshit, but let kids climb all over him if it made them happy. Whenever I visited he was always swarmed by his own kids and all his niblings, and teaching them how to hunt and defend themselves against morta - Oh, but that was a couple Astral eras ago, sorry. Turns out Tiamat and Hraesvelgr weren't joking - yeah my other sister, Tiamat, the one who went into battle recently with this guy against, uh, yeah, the corrupted image of another brother of ours. Bahamut, yeah - yeah. The one who almost destroyed a continent, yes. Hraesvelgr? Hraesvelgr's our other brother who lived with Nidhogg for a long time - yyyyeah yeah you heard right, last time they met Nidhogg did call his dead mortal wife a whore and tore Hrae's wing off. Anyway! Anyway they were right, this guy really is like if you sucked all the filling out of a Nidhogg donut and tried to squish it into an Elezen. Yeah, sorry, that is the closest I can get to describing dragon aether stuff. Is he . . . yeah he's the guy who technically killed Nidhogg and spent his whole life training to kill dragons but like I just said, Nidhogg smooshed the two of them together. He's all but a dragon walking around in a mortal meat suit and seems mostly just embarassed by it. Kiiiinda looking forward to messing with his head more, honestly. Let's get the curtain ready. Ahewann, why do you look so scared?

Sometimes I really wish I were better at drawing animals… I want to draw Zenos snuggling a big meaty dog (like Victor) or Varshahn napping with Azdaja 🥺
I feel like cats are easier because I can just reference my own cat.. I don't have a dragonet or bulldog..
30-something y/o artist who never had a furry phase as a teenager: well now what. :')
this is also holding me back from my dreams of drawing anthro characters like matsya or wuk lamat, but mainly I want Zenos to cuddle dogs, it's honestly so important to my mental health give that large man a large dog to hold

The vital difference between Azdaja and Tegiri is that Azdaja is a total fucking poser.
All of the Dragon Ball references in Azdaja's routed are very surface level and very old. Over 9000 alone has been done to death for years. Tegiri would roll his eyes the second those words leave his mouth. Tegiri would make a reference to Super and Azdaja would unconvincingly try and pretend he knows what he's talking about.
Azdaja is that kid who decided Vegeta looked cool and made his aesthetic his entire personality without ever actually watching the show. Tegiri is a true weeb who is into anime discourses you haven't even heard of. Their pitch rivalry would be legendary.

welcome to GAAAAAAAME theory where we give out our hypothesis for one of dammek's names to be "treyaf" and throw out a bunch of potential clues.
mallek's FS route: refers to a bronzeblood as 'treyaf' (who we never see, which is a little odd given no other character namedrops someone that we're not meant to meet. konyyl for example namedrops azdaja and later we meet him.) and mentions sending them some cd's for their work (this is also likely a first name given he refers to diemen by first name because if they were on last name basis he'd call diemen by xicali (ig it could also depend on closeness aswell so put this as a loose possibility))
hiveswap: xefros has comb shaped cd's stating its the only type sold to someone so low as him. in dammek's room in the background we have circular cd's indicating he somehow got higher status merch (now who do we know that can hack delivery drones to give whatever to anyone? granted this could also correlate to his connection to cridea the violetblood so take it as you will)
bonus potential clues: typing in "treya" gets the result "treyarch" (dare i say it sounds like "TREYAf" and "tetchrARCH" meshed together?); a game company (remember dammek coding his password system to work like a game?) that produces first person shooters like COD (dammek sure does have alotta guns huh?)
take this all as just conspiracy really.

Hiveswap friendsim race/ethnicity/nationality headcanons
This is pretty much based off the etymology of their names which is why a lot of them are kinda white (specifically Greek bc of Greek mythology references) but it’s also based on what ever culture and pop references their routes have as well. A lot of it is very American but I guess that makes sense considering it was made in America.
Disclaimer: I’ve tried to look it up but I don’t know how you would refer to most central and South Americans racially. I know Latina/Latino is more of an ethnicity from what I can find and I’m not sure if mestizo is the right term either. I’ve decided to just stick with Latina/Latino since I think more people are familiar with those terms but just know that when I use that term I’m referring to people of mixed white (de facto Spanish) and Amerindian descent

Disconnected 6.5 thoughts below the cut; I've only finished the alliance raid and msq so keep that in mind - also pandae stuff because I'm still miffed about it.
Honestly, it's just a lot of conflicted feelings. On one hand, I'm glad that Zero and Azdaja actually survived the patch; on the other, Zero has been removed from the story right as we were really getting to know her and get used to her being there and Azdaja barely has any presence or lines in her appearances. Tiny Azdaja cute, but narratively she was just...really just Vrtra's motivation and not much outside of herself and very hollow. She was also Golbez's weapon, and now that she's her own person again she struggles to communicate and the most we get is a thanks from her and "Radz-at-Han...home...". Like I want to be glad that they survived patch, but that's such a bare minimum desire considering how the rest of XIV has gone. While Zero got to stand more on her own and be her own person, I just can't help but feel like Azdaja was robbed of so much agency and ironically more so once she was free of her imprisonment.
The writing of this patch series has been all over the place and it's been hard to stay invested in it. 6.1-2 and this patch have been ig the best in terms of msq, but 6.1-2 are still significantly better than 6.5, and then there's 6.3-4. The pacing is all over the place - either lots of fluff, or you're being hit with so much all at once that it barely makes sense - and they're trying to tackle a lot of plot threads while not letting them play out or mature naturally. I loved Zero's arc, but 6.3, 6.4, and the first part of 6.5 all felt like the same story to an extent - like gaining the trust of the Garleans versus the Eulmorans, learning about friendship vs learning about trust and dependability. While 6.3 is the one that had Lapis Manalis and was overall a lot stronger since Rubicante, most of 6.4 felt like fluff that went nowhere. 6.5 still has that fluff problem but actually gets going - and what's frustrating! Is they have some genuinely interesting ideas in there that they don't really capitalize on!
We are presented with a treasure hunt that leads to the void and their turf wars. But instead of going into that, we have to now help with the Garlean reconstruction and making them seem like Oh So Poor Victims when they've spent the last expansions trying to colonize the entire star? Trying to wipe out the religions and cultures of various peoples on Etheirys? Now we have to play nice with them and treat them like fragile glass and give them trade routes and whatnot? Beyond the fact it continues ENW's problem of only showing Garlemald through the eyes of the upper class (problem that extends through all of our focuses, but this especially with the people who were ripped from their homelands and forced to work for the Garleans in Garlemald), it invalidates a lot of the genuine harm they've caused and obfuscates their role in the state of things. I wish this care and attention had been placed in Ala Mhigo instead, but here we are - doing with Garlemald what Ala Mhigo has been starved of for ages now. Oh and now we're back to the Archfiends, and now we're back to the Garleans, and now we keep throwing Jullus in here and the devs really really really want to make him and Zero a thing (the thought of it gives me Fucking Hives), and then we're in Sharlayan, and oh look an arbitrary FF4 reference, and now we're on the moon and now we're on the First, and NOW shit is finally happening.
Like my god, either condense this story into a concise proper trial series (like the Four Lords or Werlyt - honestly a Four Lords structure would've been perfect), or give this the proper attention it deserves as an expansion pack focused on the Void. The turf wars, the restoration of the Thirteenth - also where the fuck was Cylva?? I'm happy to see Gaia again and in a voiced cutscene, but where the fuck are Cylva and Unukalhai? They're literally relevant to it, you can tell Zero about them and vice versa and the most it amounts to is just "Interesting. Anyways-" and there's no progress on any of that. Both of their stories have just halted right when Zero's was gaining momentum and while Cylva's has been in limbo since the end of the SHB role quests.
And Zero. God, Zero. It felt like they were floundering with her for the longest time before they decided to make her follow Cecil's example. I'm glad she's alive, and I really do like the new design for paladin, but honestly the reaper stuff fits her way way better? Aesthetically and design wise, I get story wise that it was about her breaking from the confines of the darkness she'd been submersed in, but her old design was literally so much better orz As in more fitting, more interesting. Yeah ik I'm biased because I love the Vampire Hunter D look, but her immediate shift was just...weird. They floundered with making her the food motivated moe lead and then they just shoved that into her last second - the stuff with wanting to harness the light was fascinating, but it should've been brought in way sooner instead of an extended scene of people eating really hot curry. We were just starting to get into an extremely interesting character and then they went "Arc's over, time for everyone to go home without Zero (:". Yes, I'm now sitting here regretting the fact I didn't listen to my gut feeling about writing romantic stuff with her, especially since GWEN, but I'm mostly miffed from the point of. This is the first major ADULT female character we've had in a bit to be in the main party and now she's just back on the Thirteenth. And with Dawntrail and Tural coming up, we probably won't be seeing her for literal irl years - if at all. I know that not in msq is a better fate than dead, but between her and Lyse and Fordola all getting sidelined when they had the potential to carry some pretty serious story, it's just exhausting. Also the speed at which wolzero and yshtola/zero became predominant sapphic ships, then suddenly there's a lot of zero/jullus, yshtola and zero become increasingly distant with each other, and Zero is removed from msq? What the fuck?
People have been calling the Scions more one-note lately, which I agree. Estinien and Y'shtola were definitely the focus this time to build them up - which is great! I like how they're developing them! - but it seems like they only know how to do one thing with them when there isn't action, which is like. Research and nixie-related threats for Y'shtola, and training and squid with Estinien. Y'shtola has been at her most endearing and likable in these patches, and I really don't want them to strip her of what makes her fun. Estinien was also really good in 6.1 with that merchant (fight me, he knew what he was doing - he is not financially illiterate, he just doesn't give a fuck about material possessions), the stuff with the orphanage and him connecting with the children of Thavnair is really sweet considering his backstory, and he was really great with like Zero and Azdaja and how reliable he ended up being towards the tail end - but him just bailing last second? That fkn fanservice shirt scene? The constant squid shit i'm just. He's one of the most interesting characters that's still alive and relevant (hate that that's a factor in this) and the more they turn him into a joke character the more it feels like they're missing the point with him. Like you can still have him grow from his experiences and actually be fairly carefree without doubling down on food motivation or the "he's the dumb scion" - ENW portrayed that very clearly in all of his interactions with the Scions. Whoever is doing the 6.X patches doesn't seem to get that with the exception of moments like in 6.1 and the later half of 6.5.
I think the only storyline that I've really liked so far has been Myths of the Realm. Tataru's whole thing is fine, just really hated dealing with Gaius and Emmanellain. Sil'dihn Subterrane was fun, Rokkon is...tiring. Pandaemonium started promising and ended up leaving me feeling gross at the end. I wasn't really looking forward to Myths of the Realm because it started off with the implication that the Eorzean tribes' gods were "knockoffs" of the Twelve - but I'm glad they specified that it's more that the Twelve took influence from them but at the same time. We still have a pantheon of twelve extremely white humanoids that are supposed to represent the sum of their believers - and thats what they look like? I appreciate the Leviathan stuff in Llymlaen, but it's just disappointing seeing their designs if they're supposed to be a culmination of faith.
The story of Myths of the Realm was way better as it went on, though there are so many boring designs within it which includes gear. Obviously Azeyma, Halone, Llymlaen, and Nald'thal had really nice designs - Nald'thal's is beyond fun - but so many of the others are just Zeus knockoffs or Guys. Byregot, Zeus. Rhalgr, also Zeus. Althyk? Zeus. Or at least old greek man but so much of that Is From Zeus. And again, they're all so fucking white. Conceptually, Eulogia is interesting. In execution, it's...something. I don't hate it, I just wonder how it could be refined. I also don't really agree with this idea that people are saying the ending was just putting in a prayer answering machine because it was pretty clear as to what was happening? The gods weren't there to assist people directly, they were there as aetheric balancing for an unstable star. People worshipping them happened when people caught glimpses of them, and from there the religion came about and began to further and further grant them power. As that religion grew and so did their strength, they harbored aether they wanted to return to the start to help facilitate its stability and longevity - hence why they seek you out and hence the device. Y'know, the device that was meant to collect prayers and funnel it into the star so that they could be released and finally rest. They're a lot like Hydaelyn, but whereas Hydaelyn was conscious because she was directly made of Venat, these twelve were constructs based on their original selves. That they have this much autonomy - especially Oschon - was beyond the original plan and exists because of the faith of the peoples of Etheirys. That story in it of itself is honestly really compelling to me and I really like the conclusion as it makes sense that the remnants of the old world should eventually be laid to rest and allow for the people of today to live without the shackles of the past tying them down. It lets the Twelve actually get to live amongst the people they watched over as people themselves, since they're not really the people Venat worked with. My only thing is that Deryk's conclusion is what I'd wished Venat had gotten. I'm not against him getting that ending - it fits, it makes sense, I really liked it and him - but it feels weird that they meta-textually say that her entire spirit being decimated in your fight against her is a good thing when it just feels like murder in the context of the game. I wish we could've gotten to adventure with her and let her actually see the star she so diligently tried to protect. That Deryk gets to is great, I just wish Venat had been given that chance but we all know why he got to but she didn't.
Myths of the Realm is definitely one of the best stories in the 6.X series so far, but I don't think I can say it's like...any better than stuff like the Void Ark, Eden, Omega, the Four Lords, or even Eureka. At least it's better than Pandaemonium, though - which god. That shit is a mess. I'm going to spare anyone reading this the rant of how insidious it is that they included so many references to notable instances of rape/attempted rape in Greek mythology and named their antagonist after the target of attempted rape, or the fact that this series is a huge step back from Eden in how gd sexist it is (and god especially the fans of this and how they so quickly dropped Ryne/Gaia (who were already just an extension of thanuri) for erich and themis), or the fact that we got to watch Lahabrea immolate a woman ON SCREEN in a really GRUESOME attack that was only revealed last minute that she was secretly evil all along!! With no hints towards that!! So all our female rep is either evil or dead or both!!! No, besides all that, it shares msq's issue of horrible pacing and just a bizarrely written sequence of events that frankly should've been reversed - start with the threat, then go to Elpis to investigate said threat. There's so much fluff in pandae, we spend so much time meandering around, and things that feel like they're gonna matter just never get touched. Not to mention this should've been Erichtonios' story but instead Themis overshadows Everything. Erich never got voiced! In his own story!! And yet we wrap up Themis' story in a side quest series?? Pandaemonium, Kokytos, Themis, Athena, and Hephaistos all get voiced - but what about the fucking emotional core of the story?
Before anyone tries to come at me with the "if you hate it so much, just play another game" - I like this game. There's a lot I have found within the 6.X series that I like that has spurred my enthusiasm and creativity wrt my writing. Which makes all of this all the more frustrating and disappointing when they can clearly do better but then actively don't. They've fumbled the stories of some of their best characters - yes I am still pissed about Ysayle and the fact that Fordola's been treated like crap - and they continue to pace their stories poorly (which implies cram to me). It's really clear they want to be done with everything from 1.0-6.0 and have no love for that part of the game anymore - it's tangible. But it's such a shame that they're relying so heavily on FF4 to prop this part of the story up instead of the years of unexplored content they've referenced. And I'm saying this as an FF4 liker, all of the FF4 references were really heavy handed and obnoxious. So much for an "unpredictable story", it was probably their most predictable yet (PREDICTABLE=/=BAD AND VICE VERSA UNPREDICTABLE=/=GOOD, im just point it out because they themselves said that fans of 4 "wouldn't be able to guess where this was going" And Yet-).
I want to see them capitalizing on parts of the story where they did really well! Capitalizing on their good writers!! And the frustrating thing about this isn't that this patch was egregiously bad or anything, it was just meh. 6.0 and 6.X as a whole has just been very meh the longer I sit on it.
i oughta replay eden.

Thoughts on patch, spoilers below cut, but firstly, AN ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am now picking up Zero as a muse! Zero is right up one of my many alleys in terms of character background and arc and I was already planning on doing this, I just wanted to see how her arc ended first, and it seems like that is in fact what happened with this patch. Moving on.
Firstly I am annoyed that this storyline ended so quickly. The thirteenth could have had it's own expansion, it's fascinating and I want to see what it could bring to the table. In addition it would serve as a nice sort of 'in between' this multi expansion storyline and the next, in which the writers could tie up loose ends and establish inter shard travel. The arcs in place here needed more time, and rushing them resulted in an odd feeling of dissonance especially with Zero in particular.
I liked Golbez a lot and I find him compelling, however, I find the fact that he's being referred to as Golbez and has the Golbez armor referencing an actual character from another game mildly confusing. I haven't played said other game so I have literally no idea if it's relevant or not. I suppose it's not too important though considering final fantasy reuses names and even looks often without any real rhyme or reason and they don't usually imply much lore wise in doing so they're just slapping down names and calling it good.
Anyway. I feel like we got too much of pre-voiding Golbez story and not enough post flood of darkness, like- what the fuck is happening, how did the flood itself he was confirmed to unleash go down etc. We needed more time. Please.
If the events of this storyline don't remain active and relevant I am going to lose it. I poured too much effort into Azdaja and Zero and Golbez if they disappear I do not know what I will do but it will not be good.
Uh anyway regarding Zero as a muse I will be changing some small details including significantly drawing out the time frame and not having her suddenly go from still putting together the concept of trust to cracking jokes everywhere. Also she is going to remain a reaper. When her scythe is broken, rather than switching to paladin she makes a blade of light temporarily- when its not there anymore it's just a staff. Figurative olive branch if you will, something something symbolizing that though her mindset has changed she is still the same person and still learning. She and Golbez will learn together and it will be nice. yay.

FFXIV 6.5 MSQ and Alliance Raid thoughts:
Spoilers:
First, the Alliance Raid.
I really like how 14 in general handles the topic of religion.
So many stories just shit on it, basically.
I have zero attachment to religion in any form, but I do think it's an extremely important part of human history and culture that is much more interesting when tackled with nuance and empathy.
So to have a story, both, criticise and point out the good in it is so refreshing.
To not have all the godly figures be evil alone is refreshing.
I think the second wing was the strongest in that sense.
This wing simply brought all of the introduced ideas together.
I'm super uneasy with the trope of 'chosing death', but I'm at least happy the story didn't keep this the sole perspective. Oschon truly wanted to stay, so he did.
Thematically it all goes back to the idea introduced in the course of the entire raid story: religion is really just people enouraging people because the idea of deities alone is what gives them the power to inspire and encourage.
All scriptures were written by people.
So the power of the twelve, born of prayer, serving as further strength to nurture the planet, is only fitting.
But just like Pandemonium, this chunk of story left us with a few little plot threads to later return to, like Oschon now being a normal traveler, the perception theory in relation to the gods in Eorzea AND outside or even the Watcher being the 13th god. There is stuff to come back to here.
Oschon/Deryk staying as a normal being really surprised me and the Watcher not getting much more elaboration in particular surprised me.
MSQ:
It's super jarring to go back to this kind of simpler writing about The Power of Friendship we got back in A Realm Reborn, and honestly, there were points where it really got me annoyed this patch.
Golbez' redemption sequence in particular was the most cheese I've seen in a while. I felt it last patch, but it got too much to me here.
We get trust speeches on the First, Thirteenth AND The Source.
But on the other hand, I also appreciate this patch series just essentially being a simple, fun adventure hanging out with the Scions.
I like that actual Golbez is implied to be an Azem shard. I like that the dragons finally get something good happen to them.
I like that Zero's character arc pays off.
It's (too) simple power of friendship at points, but I think it is still earned and standing on the back of a decade of theme, character and world building (except Golbez, him being an FF4 reference still needed more other backing for it to feel natural).
And once more, we have a bunch of plot threads to work with for later.
Zero and Golbez working to restore the Thirteenth, Ryne and Gaia working to restore the First. The gradual progress on Shard travel. Azdaja rescued and both Vrtra and them calling out (to presumably) other dragons.
And of course the old letter addressed to Galuf Krile found and Erenville and the visitor he brought with him.
This material bridging Endwalker to Dawntrail set up a lot of stuff, which could lead to other, bigger stuff in the nearer future and later future.
I feel it deeply that it'll be made much stronger by context.
But I do have more than enough power of friendship in my system, where I hope Dawntrail is the trek up in complexity and tension and 6.55 will be the start of that.

Post-Endwalker
After spending a few months sailing around familiar seas, Meiko inevitably returned to Eorzea to touch base with her brother. A'kihiko would later sheepishly explain that barely a week after the Scions departure, he had ended up mixed up with an investigation in Sharlayan...and found himself able to travel to the past himself! He met Themis -- uh, Elidibus -- and a man named Ericthonios whose father was apparently Lahabrea?
Meiko nearly smothered in him frustration. How did these things always happen to him?
In any case, that particular situation was presently on hold. So they went to visit Tataru, who encourged them to find further adventure in Thavnair. This led to a regathering of some of their allies, followed by a trip to the Bounty and...the discovery of a voidgate, one that Vrtra was aware of.
Meiko was initially reluctant to try and find a way into the Thirteenth. Having been so relieved to be able to relax and be someone other than a destiny-bound hero for once, she worried that prying further would only invite more chaos. But A'kihiko was immediately supportive of the idea of saving Vrtra's older sister, as he could not imagine losing his own.
Together, the group managed to enter the Thirteenth, where they came across a castle twisted by darkness, as well as all its denizens. Among them was a half-Voidsent, later coming by the identity of Zero, who recognized the Warriors of Light as they had once been Zenos' own avatar.
In exchange for a promise of aether, Zero agreed to assist in the defeat of Scarmiglione, and later Barbariccia, two Demon Lords that served a man named Golbez. Through the Echo, the siblings were able to determine that he held Azdaja prisoner, and sought to save her by whatever means necessary. Zero, who had weakened significantly from the fight, was taken back to the Source to recover.
( was during this time they would also be roped into an investigation that would lead to their discovery of the true identities of the Twelve.)
Over the course of the next few weeks, it was discovered that Zodiark's defeat did not quite mean he was entirely gone from the reflections. His destruction left behind a veritable amount of aether, and Golbez used this to his advantage to summon a creature that could tear through the barriers between worlds. His intent was to save the Thirteenth from its cycle of endless death, albeit in a very negative way. Fortunately, in witnessing the myriad of peoples brought together to fight for the greater good, Zero regained some of their original humanity and managed to sway Golbez to their side.
With the threat defeated, the Scions left Zero and Golbez behind to begin work on restoring the Thirteenth.
Upon returning home, the gleaner and Scion ally Erenville approached Meiko and Hiko at the behest of a childhood friend. The friend turned out to be a female Hrothgar named Wuk Lamat, who specifically sought their support in a contest for the throne of Tural, the continent frequently referred to in Eorzea as the New World.
A'kihiko jumped at the opportunity to travel to an entirely new land, with little to no hesitance in throwing his support behind Wuk Lamat. Meiko, also immediately fond of the newcomer, agreed to do the same -- but not without some hesitation. A quick chat with G'raha Tia soothed her worries, as he recommended she travel first and make her true decision after arriving in Tural.
In truth, it was ultimately the words of Hades that persuaded her to accept the invitation: He had mentioned the Bounty, the Twelve, and the New World in his last words to them. She could not help but wonder if that was an all-too-subtle coaxing -- the man clearly had a sense for dramatics -- that there was something she and her brother needed to see.

And the Blindfrost and Meracydia. And other reflections, aye?
Although she had grown more cautious recently, she could not deny that her time spent sailing the seas had renewed her desire to explore the world.
Onward to the New World!

Welcome to the Planning Phase
Welcome to the planning blog for my graphic novel, temp titled "Tamers of Azdaja"! I don't intend to keep this title, it's just what I came up with many MANY years ago as I was starting to piece together the world, its laws, and its people. The universe of Azdaja (henceforth referred to as A) is full of mages, magicless, and dragon tamers. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses and in A, they all contend with one another. In the time we start our story, isolationism is the status quo. Preconceived notions abound, tensions are high, and a war to possess a new mysterious power looms high. Can the world collaborate to save itself or will this power ultimately suppress all? If you'd like to come along on this journey with me, I'd love to have you <3 I'll be posting as often as I can (loosely committing to three days a week right now) with character designs, plot details, world information, and more! -EV
