#aylynn's gunpla struggles

One thing I certainly didn't like about the stickers for Zabanya is these dark, almost black pieces to be placed under the clear parts. And so I decided to instead apply some green paint in their stead.

And, we'll, I think I like how they turned out. Definitely better than black.

It's done!! I'll certainly try and take normal quality photos of it, but now I'm just happy to assemble it back and look at the results of my attempt at weathering. I think I've done good enough for an almost-first time.

My next build (that solid clear Barbatos) will be a totally chill one tho: NOTHING aside from stickers (well, okay, they're not chill at most for me) and panel lining, as I deserve a break from trying things and playing with paint. Well, actually it's mostly because of the clear parts, for weathering and stuff would look weird on them I guess, as well as any color correction not covered by the stickers. So, yeah, a straight build it will be.

Got my tank to stream me FFXIV to cope with not being able to play it myself, and got myself back to gunpla while on discord.

My desk is a mess, one day I'll tidy it up.

Done with the parts left from the last time. A snack is in order, and then I'll finally build hopefully the rest.

Okay, I'm weak, the thoughts about gunpla are stronger than me.

So I went to do just a little something that is adding some rusty color to the outlines on white parts. It probably looks lame, as all my paint work does, because I still don't know what I'm doing, but at least now I rather like how it turns out.

I'll finish it and will go play more.

YOU GUYS WON'T BELIEVE IT!! Honestly, I don't believe it — a 00 HG at the only local 'anime' store that cares to sell genuine products, and for more than a reasonable price no less!

I really should be saving to get a new good pc, but I'm the nonexistent god's weakest soldier when it comes to buying gunpla. So...

Trying to fit the shield has nearly killed me, somehow being tenfold as hard as it had been with Freedom. But here we are, finally!!

Baby's first backlog items. Which look as if they had been chewed on by the third country postal service despite having had protection over them matching the boxes themselves in volume. The runners are A-OK tho, but I'm still salty. I guess I'd better wait for my gunpla to be shipped directly from Japan (which takes forever) than order through China.

Anyway, look at her!! (Almost) no stickers cuz I wanna go back to it and sand/polish the parts better a bit later, but even though — RGs look so good... Originally I was going to be done with the rail gun and wings in today's session, but then the accident happened, so I'll probably do just the rail gun and call it a day (like, it's quarter to one in the morning). Yet I still want to post a (lame) photo, yeah.

It's taken me thrice more time than it should have, but here it is! Except for the first form variant for which I'm waiting for the paint on two parts to cure.

Every time I have classes held online I spend them like this.

I hate with a special kind of hatred the stickers that need to be bound in some direction across the part. I can never do them right, they get deformed.

I hate this very much. The same happened to some of Qan[T] stickers. I just don't know how to press them in place without causing damage. I do hope it'll be the only sticker that I fuck up, unlike with Qan[T].

Can five kits be considered few enough to still justify my poor skill and the excessive amount of stupid mistakes I make, or is it many enough for me to feel bad about these?..

Well, isn't it somewhat erotic? To have a mobile suit as barely more than just a frame... I hope Exia and 00 Raiser are built in a similar manner, it's really fun.

Now onto the dressing-up game, haha.
