Your throat burned as your legs shook.

Finally taking a break from running through this grim and shadowy forest, the deep rumbling sound caught up to you

Your eyes shot across the forest trying to find the source of the sound but were only met with large dark trees and a foggy atmosphere.

You felt your heartbeat in your head as your eyes began to water; you were afraid of what hid amongst the trees

And as if the creature could read your mind or maybe sensed your fear, a deep chuckle rumbled from the forest

Now with dooming in your ears, a large being stepped out amongst the trees, its piercing blue eyes catching your breath and preventing you from screaming.

The figure was abnormally tall, with a gray/white sunken face, its black scleras assisted their blue iris to stand out.

In a strange state of paralysis, the uncanny sensation swallowed you whole as the figure approached. Only feeling your hot tears run down your cheeks it reaches its lanky hand out towards you.

Shooting up in your bed, you gasped for air as you sobbed; looking around the room to ground yourself.

Holding your shirt, you felt as if your heart was gonna burst out of your chest. Looking at the clock it read:

*4:53 AM*

Slightly groaning, you have only been about to ‘sleep’ five minutes since your last nightmare. Sleep is like an overstatement more like being transported into a state of paralysis as your nightmares brought you back to the dark forest.

Wishing your brother had spent the night or even gone to his place. Without another choice, you chalked it up to your mind playing tricks on you trying to comprehend the traumatic event that occurred in the woods.

You shifted in your bed, grabbing your phone in hopes of mindlessly scrolling through an app to pass the time before the enviable exhaustion consumed you.

You cringed and squinted as the screen was too bright for your tired eye, blinking a couple of times you realized that your phone was acting up again. The screen glitches out constantly opening and closing apps until it opens the camera app

Groaning at the thought of having to buy a new phone with money you don’t have made a pit in your stomach form only to be subsequently overpowered as the back camera focused on your window

Your heart dropped to your ass as you stared at your phone. Hoping it was just your curtains and sleep-deprived mind playing a trick on you, a large silhouette stood outside your window.

But it was impossible, your apartment was on the third floor, so how could someone or something be standing outside of your window?

Either way, your hand shook staring at it, and your thumb trembled over the button wanting to capture this as you hadn't realized you were crying again

Yet the sound of the camera app shutter buzzed through your ears making your body freeze,

you slowly dropped your phone only to find the figure gone.

Suddenly you hear your door alarm charmed signaling the living room balcony open. Cursing the day Beomgyu installed door alarms tears streamed down your face.

You came to a conclusion whatever you were looking at, was looking back at you….

You pulled your comforter over your head “It’s just a dream, wake up” you chanted to yourself, pulling up your brother's contact you rang him

No answer, in fact, no signal…

Crying out silently, you rubbed your eyes intensely, you pinched your skin; anything to wake you up from this nightmare.

Until the sound of your room door opening invaded your senses, your body burned as you froze…

You thought about your brother, and your friends how deeply you were going to miss them. You thought about your lonely life and wished you could’ve stepped out of your comfort zone a bit more, even now waiting to die

“Goodbye world,” you thought as quickly grabbed your lamp

“AHHH!” You yell sitting up not wanting to go down without a fight, only to be met with a flinching figure as it shrieks in fear.

“Please don't hurt me!” It spoke in a strange language

The ringing of the doorbell sounded through your apartment as your body shifted in its sleep pushing your mind awake.

Hearing the doorbell ring again you sat up wiping the drool from your cheek. Your tired eyes peered at the window as your mind jogged the memories of the previous night.

“What a strange dream” you mumbled when the sound of the doorbell made you waddle out of the bedroom

“Morning Human,” a male voice said from the living room as you approached the front door. Being far too sleepy to be aware of your surroundings, you just groaned placing your hand on the doorknob.

Now twisting the metal knob you froze when your thoughts raced ‘Wait a voice-‘ “Finally!” Beomgyu said busting in making you stumble back.

“Beomgyu?!” You said now fully awake, your eyes quickly shot over to the living room only to not see anything “What are you doing here?!” Your voice relayed frantically as your brother yawned setting down some snacks he brought for you.

“What? Girl didn’t you ask me to come over” Beomgyu recalled as you looked around for something or rather someone.

‘There’s no way, that had to be only a dream’ you thought to yourself deep in ponder causing Beomgyu to look at you weirdly “Um… you okay?” He asked with a brow raised.

Your eyes finally landed on Beomgyu, “peachy” you expressed finding a fake smile dance upon your face. He nodded not wanting to push you more only his eyes spotted a particular red-purplish mark on the slop of your neck.

“What that?”

His voice spoke knocking you out of your trance, “What’s what?” You repeated making Beomgyu press his thumb into the mark causing you to yelp.

“You’re sick,” he chastised you with a scowl “I thought you were taking a break, and now you’re suddenly messing around with someone”

You turned to a mirror and spotted the bruise on your neck “No! That’s not what you think it’s a bruise!”

“Bruise my ass, what did you do get jabbed in your fuckin neck?” Beomgyu bickered making your stomach drop. If that encounter was just a dream how did you have the mark? Shaking your head you needed a way to figure out how to clean this misunderstanding up fast.

“I… please believe me I don’t have anyone-“

“Do you think I’m dumb- don’t answer that” the boy huffed crossing his arms and looking away. “Look I understand why you would want to move on quickly when he did the same to you…” Beomgyu sighed looking at his sister with sympathy

“Seriously it’s really not that” You looked around for the mysterious figure you encountered last night and possibly this morning.

He nodded seeing your mind was elsewhere “Well ima head out, don’t wanna hit morning traffic” Beomgyu pressed the bruise once more making you flinch.

“I’m not gonna pry on your alone time but be safe,” He said walking out and leaving you gobsmacked

Right when the door closed, you turned out into the house “come out, I know you’re here!” You shouted as the being walked out of your room.

“Who was that?” the alien you recalled name was Kai said “Never mind that! You’re real!!! Better yet why are you still here?!” You shouted as he tugged on his pointed ears irritated

“Always so loud” was all he muttered

You sighed rubbing your face “Also! What’s this?!” You pointed at the mark lying on your soft skin. “That? That is a human bruise, it’s a mark on the skin that's caused by broken blood vess-“

“I know what a bruise is!!”

“Then why did you ask?!!”

You both glared at each other but you exhaled trying to calm down “How did I get it?” Your voice spoke rather calmly as he just rolled his eyes “You got it when i knocked you unconscious” he explained as if he didn’t just commit a crime.

You just shook your head “Okay you have to go” you exclaimed causing Kai to groan “Dumb human you don’t think I’ve already tried”

“Last night I returned to my ship to gather some supplies only to find human males in suits and yellow hazmats surrounding my ship.”

Your stomach dropped “are you serious the fuckin government found it?!”

“Government?”

“That’s a whole different problem, all you need to know is that they don’t like you” you said making Kai’s face twist in disgust. “Me? I’m a highly advanced-“ he began but you cut him off, “species that is greater than humans blah blah blah,” you trailed off causing his eye to twitch. “Look it’s nothing personal, they just don’t like us humans knowing about things beyond our comprehension”

He huffed and looked away “I… I need your help…”

“Kai-“

“Please…” A small dust of color spread across his cheeks making your heart clench. “What if your face doing?” You asked making him jump a bit “Why are your cheeks red?”

He bit the inside of his cheek “Look I just need a place to reside, once I get my communicator up and running I’ll leave”

You sighed and peeked over at Kai “This is dangerous you know… but…. It’s not every day an alien pleads for your help”

“I wasn’t pleading-“

“You’re pleading, you can stay for a bit now let’s get you out of those Zenon clothes”

“Who?” Kai titled his head confused “Don’t worry about it, I think have some clothes that’ll fit you”

“Stop throwing stuff!” They yelled as a stuffed penguin hit their face.

“AHHH!”

“This is ridiculous! Just tell me where I am!” Their eye twitched as you hid on the other side of the bed. Another stuffy hits them.

The being growled and grabbed the end of the bed “Idiotic”, they began to lift the bed to get to the other side. You fell back onto your behind watching the strange figure approach you “Stay back!” You held up a brush but they just hit out of your hand.

They grabbed onto your shirt as their eyes completely darkened “Now what planet is this” “E-Earth!!” You squeaked out a response

They blinked as their eyes returned to normal “Huh… explain the shabbiness”

“What-“

“Silence earthling, I mean you no harm” They backed up wiping the hand they touched you with on their white suit. “Well, how do I know that?!”

“Are all earthlings annoying or is it just you?” They bit

“Sorry?! But you literally broke into my house!”

Its antenna twitched feeling irritated “House? This is a shack at best”

Your jaw dropped at its sudden rudeness “Okay rude! This place is $1,300 a month” you said as the being put the bed down. Yet they didn’t say anything rather it looked disgusted with the surroundings

“What are you?” You asked starting to get annoyed “Me? I’m male-ish” You shook your head at its answer.

“No I mean, you’re obviously not human”

“No, I’m kai” it- he said glaring at you

“T-That’s your name-?“ you began but his groaning cut you off “Yes that’s my name”

“And you’re….” You were saying as ‘Kai’ rolled his eyes “I’m a highly advanced creature from outer space, far more intelligent than these soft brain humans” he said as you lowkey felt insulted.

“So you’re an alien?! That’s impossible, aliens aren’t real”

“Are you earthlings that arrogant to believe you are the only thing that exists in the universe?” Your cheeks heated up as you knew the being was right, picking yourself up from the ground, you cleared your throat.

“Well… why are you in my house anyways, shouldn’t you be destroying crops?” He chuckled at the stereotype. “Shouldn’t you be putting more trash in space?” Your eye twitched at his comeback knowing he clocked you.

“Get out”

“Tch no”

You put your hands up to shove the extraterrestrial but it felt like trying to push a brink wall. “Why are you impossible to move!!” You tried pushing with your legs but he scoffs and swatted you off like a bug making you land on your rug.

“Earth’s gravitational pull is a lot stronger than my planets’ so my weight is far denser here, also I’m 193cm far larger than you”

You sat up as your hair was a mess for your one side struggle with him. “I’m average height”

“Yeah, well whatever you are, you’re minuscule to me” Knowing this guy's head was obviously in the clouds, more like in the Neighboring Galaxy, you didn’t want to take his words to heart. Yet you felt more offended when it was an alien insulting you like an American suddenly becoming patriotic when a British person starts talking.

“Tch pathetic, to think you are the one I followed” he facepalmed.

“Followed?”

“Yes I saw in that place with the large earth plants and decided to follow you,” he shrugged boredly “Turns out you’re completely incompetent and rather annoying”

“Though finding a new host will prove to be difficult” When he spoke those words, your eyes shot towards him. “New host-?!” “Very well, you will suffice”

“No, get out”

Kai ignored you and proceeded to look around your room. “Please, I’m not here by choice”

“Hey FBI agent, I know you’re listening! Get this alien out of my room!” You spoke making him scoff “I'm not just an alien, I’m a futuristic species that is 10 times superior to your polluting species, have more respect”

“Right and you think you would be able to read a room” Kai rolled his eyes and flipped open something that reminded you of a phone. “…What are you doing?” You watched him fiddle with the device.

“I’m checking the damage to my shuttle,” Kai said in an obvious tone

“Oh good, so you can go back home-“ your voice was cut off by Kai pushing you out of the way making you land on your bed. He stood by the window looking towards the direction of the forest that was a block away. Kai began to speak in his native language making it impossible for you to even slightly understand.

You looked at him still in disbelief that there was an extraterrestrial life, let alone a hot one in your room. He groaned and put the device away in his white suit. “So….?” You broke the silence only to receive a glare from the large set alien.

“Your mind descendent from apes could probably not understand my situation”

“I…. Why are you so sassy?” You asked as his jaw dropped “Sassy?”

“Do all aliens have an attitude problem or is it just you?” and with that you're suddenly lifted into the air causing you to yelp, being thrown onto your bed he pinned you down “You will go into ‘energy saving mode’, I can’t think with your constant yapping”

“Dude get off me-“

You felt a slight jab to the slope of your shoulder making the room went dark. “Ah that’s better,” he said in his native language sitting on the bed and pulling out his communicator device.

Both your loud screams echoed through the apartment as if it was a screaming competition but you paused your movements as the figure caught your eye.

It resembled a man with shimmery pale pink skin and raven blue hair. Everything about this being was large.

Your yells soon died down as the creature yelled back shielding its body from your bedside lamp. You stood staring at it, waiting for it to stop screaming.

You began to tap your foot impatiently as it continued to holler, “Are you…. done?” Your hesitate voice broke through the loud yells

The creature immediately stopped and peeked at you through their arms, “hm?” It exclaimed realizing you weren’t going to attack it.

It put its hands down and stood up awkwardly fixing its white futuristic suit while clearing its throat.

You grip the bedside lamp while your eyes follow as it stands well above 6 feet.

“What the fuck…” you spoke quietly as it tilted its beautifully sculpted face to the side confused by your words.

The strange being approached you bending down to your level making you stumble back. “Stay back!” You point the lamp at it only for it to quickly disarm you grabbing your wrist.

Being pulled closer, it inspects you.

Your heart raced still terrified, “W-What are you doing in my house?” You leaned away. The being looked at you confused, lifting your chin to make eye contact with you.

Its eyes were a soft brown with white scleras completely different from the terrifying eyes the monster had in your dream.

“Who are you?” You ask with a softer yet still cautious tone. They still didn’t answer only blinking “Do you… know English?”

The being perked up “English” it said snapping its fingers. They closed their eyes thinking about something

You looked at the way it still held onto your wrist. Their skin was weirdly soft but its hands were huge.

“Ahh English, easy ” the being spoke with a strong accent. You stared at the being dumbfounded, “Where am I?” It said looking around.

“Y-You’re pink…”

“Well I didn’t ask what color I was, did i?” They said making your head snap back at the attitude “Excuse me?”

“You’re well excused”

“….” Not knowing what to say you laid back down “i have to be dreaming still” you mutter to yourself glaring at the pink man with antennas looking around the room unimpressed but like in a blink of an eye it was now crouching down in front of you.

“Where am I?”

“Huh?” You said just trying to go back to sleep

“The planet, which planet am I on?” They said making your eyes snap open, remembering what you saw at the quarry. It was a saucer-shaped vessel sitting on the shore of the medium-sized lake of the quarry

Not knowing what it was you concluded that the strange sound was definitely coming from the unidentified object.

“…W-what did you say”

“Enough of this! Take me to someone more competent…. take me to your leader”

Your heart dropped to your ass, “What are you?!” You sat up as the being crawled on top of you. They were broad and smelt of dirt and motor oil, “I’ll ask you one more time, what planet is this” their scleras darkened.

Suddenly they feel your finger poke their cheek just making sure this wasn’t a dream.

“HOLY SH-“
