Can we talk a lil bit about mc's relationship with Ethan if they're just friends, no romance?

Like, it's the reason I actually like Ethan a lot even though I'm not going for his route. That texting scene last week had me wheezing and it's like, they're annoying the hell out of him but he knows that mc is an amazing doctor and appreciates their hard work, and he's very proud of them because he was and probs still is their mentor and wants to see them thrive on the field.

Idk I like seeing him as an older-brother-figure who deeply cares for mc + the way their relationship developed from practically hating each other to found family kinda makes me all soft.
