All three of them were shocked by the sight of Michael’s form changing, the sight of the blood nearly making Edna gag but she kept herself together since she didn’t want to add to the boy’s distress.

Cassidy felt a sense of rage towards Michael’s sister before quickly shaking the feeling out of her head, getting angry wasn’t going to help the issue.

Jeremy silently stared at the bloody bits on Michael, a chill running up his spine.

“It’s okay to be angry, kiddo,” despite the sight in front of her Edna managed to keep herself calm, it sort of reminded her of when she first started interacting with the kids in the pizzeria. “Wanna go to the dark room I was telling you about?” she offered to the boy in a hush tone, a sad frown on her face.

Michael nodded to Edna’s question, managing to go back to his pure white soul form, though, black tear lines now existed, making him look like one of the haunted posters that would show up for new guards, showing that he was indeed another missing child.

“And… C-can I meet Foxy?” He asked. “He… He always was my favorite.”

Edna nodded back to show she understood before speaking. “Yeah we can visit Foxy. I’m sure he’ll love meeting you,” she told the boy with a sad smile, hopefully Fritz wasn’t in a hyper mood today or was at least with Susie.

The two older kids were a bit upset that Michael wasn’t happy but kept quiet, maybe they could talk more once he was feeling better.

“Want me to carry you? Emotions can take a lot out of ya,” she offered to the soul, normally she’d offer to hold a kid’s hand when they were upset but she could exactly do that with Michael.

He floated up so that Edna could carry him. “Yes please.” He answered, definitely looking tired if the much dimmer glow around him was any indication.

He looked over to the other two. “I’m sorry. I didn’t want to make anyone upset.” He told them. “I hope we can still be fwiends.” He told them. It seemed a lot of his energy was used to make him sound older than he actually was. It would take a lot of control and practice to do that, but, now that he was growing tired, he knew better than to keep that up.

Edna carefully took Michael into her arms and made sure to keep a secure hold on him so he didn’t fall but was gentle enough so he didn’t feel smothered.

“I-it’s okay,” Jeremy voiced as the two older kids looked up at the boy in the guard’s arms.

“We can still be friends,” Cassidy chimed in as she stood back up, obviously worried about the boy.

Edna smiled at the two before turning around and walking out of the room, back out to the main stage area. “So Foxy is you’re favourite, huh?” she hoped changing the subject would cheer the boy up a bit. “He doesn’t come out during the day so he doesn’t see that many kids. I’m sure he’ll love to meet you,” she told the boy as she walked towards Pirate’s Cove.

He nodded as he was carried by Edna. “Unca Henwy would take mwe to swee his sows.” He explained, his voice now fully how it was when he died. “Dat was bwack in 1980… A yeaw befow I…” He didn’t want to say it. It was clear from his missing arms that his death hadn’t been painless or quick.

“Daddy eben swaid dat he wood get mwe a Fwoxy mask fow my biwthday when it could fit mwe.” He told her, making it sound like his William was at least kind and caring to his own children.

Having to have deal with kids of all ages Edna was thankfully able to understand what Michael was saying.

“That’s very sweet of both of them,” she wanted to keep the conversation going in a positive way, her heart probably wouldn’t be able to take it if he grew more upset. “Well I’m sure Foxy won’t mind giving you your own private shows while you’re here,” she told the poor boy as they approached the purple curtains the shielded the fox from any prying eyes, an out of order sign placed in front of the stage. “He might even ask you to join his crew.”

If one looked close enough the curtain seemed to be parted slightly before closing fully as if someone was peeking out but didn’t want to be seen.

“Wh-Who be outside me co-cove?” came a male pirate accent, the tone kind despite being a bit rough and glitchy.

“Wanna be the one to let him know we’re here?” she whispered to Michael with a soft smile, no doubt Freddy and Gabriel told him about Michael but the fox always loved putting on a show.
