Its so important for women to be financially independent of men even in a relationship. I don’t care how loving, caring, or understand your partner is, something about money and the control money that money brings is stifling! Being a stay at home mom right now just makes me cringe some times because I have to ask for money and explain why I want to spend it on whatever. I have 2 degrees and nothing (money wise) to show for it. But in time when the roles reverse and I begin to make the money I should be making, boy the independence level will be at all time high. I have never saved money on this level before and it’s all motivation so I don’t have to be dependent of anyone!

How Did I Get Here?

You ever wake up one morning like “Damn, how did I get here?” It’s always those moments when u seem unsatisfied with life or life seems to have gone so quickly u can’t remember when u just had a moment to reflect. You look at your spouse/partner like do I really even want to be with u. Or simply it’s time to experience new people and a new space. I’m way in deep (married) and I sometimes just want to call it quits to see how it feels not to be attached and just be free. Free to experience what I want, when I want without an explanation or need for communication just go be ME! I love where I am, but come on how did I get here???
