Reminiscing about my HOA phase again. . .
#watched a playthrough of a supermassive game so mid and annoying (Casting of Frank Stone)#that I had to go and watch a playthrough of a half decent supermassive game with awesome setpieces (House of Ashes) to calm down#<- I say that first thing as a DBD fan/player btw 😭 I'm not here to hate just cause#god... a lot of my art/doodles from then are kinda dookie but i still like a few of them a lot#and i still really like that one big crazy ghost idea of mine... I need to re-read the 30k or so I wrote to check if i was cooking or not#grafftalk#delete later#btw do any of my HOA pals remember when like. the fandom found the instagrams for j/ason and s/alim's likeness models-#and like. were really really fucking weird about it. 😭😭😭#and meanwhile i never heard a single peep for their actual voice/mocap actors.....? who like. actually did the acting and everything.....#lmfao.... 😭 enough time has passed that I think I can safely say that was kinda weird of people

#ash rambles 💚#it's been a pretty solid day! i didnt do much other than play j.udgment for hours straight tbh#and hey. I'm fine with that#I've had a lot on my mind as of late with just life and everything being pretty nuts so I'm glad to have that escape#i hope everyone is doing good#one day I'll organize this blog more and write some more fanfic also#... one day- i know i've said that time and time before#yawwwnnsss I'm so sleepy.. its about 1am rn so I'm about to snooze. just got to chapter uhhhh 8 of the game 👍🏽#something thats been on my mind a lot as of late is that i spend a lot of time supporting and writing shit for other peoples f/os and ships#which is great. it's awesome. it makes me happy. whenever i write these things there is never a doubt in my mind that the character LOVES#the shipper. when i say theyre soulmates i wholeheartedly mean that from the bottom of my heart. yet it's only when i write my own shit that#i get all insecure about it. especially in the case of my dearest husband since I really do just love him so much. i never do allow myself#that same grace huh? i never let myself be loved despite how i am towards my selfshipper friends#it's just been something that's been on my mind lately and it's something I'm trying to get better at. sometimes it's just hard to believe#that they really do feel the same. I keep seeing a little of what the entire internet sees in Astarion and I am interested in seeing more of that person but every time you get a glimpse of it he immediately covers it up by being an insufferable jackass. Whenever I replay I'll have to put up with enough of the jackass to see more of the other person, but he makes it really hard to want to interact with him for that long.
#bg3#apparently other people have different taste in insufferable behavior#bc Laezel is also constantly a jackass but she does it for me.#and clearly many people have that reaction to Gale but as far as Im concerned hes perfect#i have been finding even the characters I definitely don't click with are enjoyable people when they're in their quest specific space#karlach super doesn't do it for me but I like seeing her talk about touch#this post was about Astarion#Wyll actually clicks meaningfully better now than he started out doing. ill probably do a solo playthrough as him at some point#i wonder how Ill feel about canon Shadowheart when Im no longer interacting with Ash's version of Shadowheart#anyway great game#Im comedically anti-Astarion-fandom just bc I don't get it at all and it takes up so much space on here#but I think that guy is awesome actually. i mean even the things I dislike in him are very characterful#he's just hard to be around

gonna focus on their cults for a second but id think they'd meet up because of trading and whatnot ^_^ since yk. swagdoons and business partners and whatnot but id imagine their cults would have a lot of things about economics (red's moreso, ash's would just use money as a status symbol/sign of power)! so uh. insert coin tossing and riches rituals here. and also insert ash's cult using money as a sign of loyalty here bc its like, giving up your ego to someone. yeag .
but yeah! some misc things is that i think their cults would be Well Known but they have funky variations depending on which region you go to >_< sorta like how there's Flavors of swagdoons depending on which series you base them off of! also they'd have the craziest and sickest parties i just Know it . dionysian parties type beat fr!

#wind howls#in the ace attorney playthru my friends and i are doing we are now onto rise from the ashes#i think we stopped still on the first day of the trial. the worst is yet to come and im very excited about it.#genuinely one of the few cases in ace attorney that actually made me feel some sort of dread and fear by the end of it when i played it#im voicing jake and also angel starr bc its funny. im trying to make jake sound american to the best of my non american abilities#and angel starr i gave her an uninterested cafeteria lady voice. maybe not original but im having fun#that on top of already voicing thr judge i love voicing the judge so much. i gave him my best goofy impression hes a blast to voice#who else did i voice. i voiced yani yogi. gave him a throaty voice. occasionally i do larry when nobody else wants him (i dont either)#who else is there in the game. OH OH will powers i voiced him. also wendy oldbag her voice fucked me up BAD#before my friend darin joined us i also voiced gumshoe but since then darin took the role and his impression is a lot more fun hehe#voicing characters in a visual novel is so much fun you guys. if you can gather up pals and have someone play the game for the first time-#definitely recommend giving out silly voices. especially if they have rare voiced lines in the game#you cannot imagine the absolute glee i felt when darin gave manfred von karma his youtuber Fred impression. only to hear is objection later#and realizing his voice is actually the deepest in the fucking game. it was so fucking funny i lost my whole mind it was awesome#anyway. game is fun#ghost trick is also a fun game ive seen get voiced by groups of friends. definitely recommend playing that one in a group as well

i think one of my favorite lines you get from a Romanced!Ash in M.ass E.ffect has gotta be during the Citadel dlc whenever they see the hamster cage not in S.hepard's room. Ash gets really mad.
"That son of a bitch! I'm the only one that gets to touch S.hepard's tiny hamster!"
To which the third squadmate chuckles a little and S.hepard sheepishly goes,
"I'd say it's more of an average-sized hamster, Ash."
