Broken Ranks isometric MMORPG due to see a Linux build
Broken Ranks upcoming MMORPG games to get support for Linux with Mac and Windows PC. Thanks to recent details from developer Whitemoon Games. Currently in an Open Beta, which closes out today. The Closed Beta tests of Broken Ranks have finished. So it was time to share the Beta version of the upcoming MMORPG developed by Whitemoon Games with everyone. The Open Beta let players try the new content for three days, until Monday, 5th July at 9pm CEST/12 pm PST /3pm EST. In order to join in on the fun, players would need to download the client. However, the client only offers support for Mac and Windows PC, but Linux support is actually in the plan.
...as far as I know the thing is that MAC will be first. But I spoke with our CEO and he told me, that they will work on Linux version too.
So, initially, there were some back and forth emails with Whitemoon. First, the Broken Ranks developer explaining the games engine being used, Away3D and Starling. Followed by the details in the quote above. Their focus will be on Windows PC first, Mac, then evolving onto Linux. Which has me really curious to see how native support will all come together. Since the game is already gaining some serious traction. Check out the Beta trailer below.
Broken Ranks - Open Beta trailer
youtube
Players in this Broken Ranks beta had access to the early parts of the game. This also includes a lot of quests and fights. The current players are able to see a lot of familiar (although refreshed) locations and opponents. But also many new challenges. “These tests confirm that the way we had chosen was the right one. One of the most frequently repeated pieces of feedback from our testers was that they felt like they were playing a new, yet in many ways familiar game” - dodaje Danilewicz. Broken Ranks is the successor of the MMORPG The Pride of Taern (no support for Linux. It features a unique turn based combat system and a vast world that players get to know from the isometric view. The game may remind you of classics as the Heroes of Might and Magic series and Baldur’s Gate. Adventurers will be able to complete many quests and journeys. All through a huge and rather interesting world. They may do so alone or in a group together with their friends or even guild mates. Since guilds are central to the multiplayer aspect of the game. Broken Ranks upcoming MMORPG is due to be available for Mac and Windows PC's. However, we can also expect the game to make its way onto Linux, eventually. If you care to register now, you can do so on the official website. At the same time, the official Discord channel has been made public. Since this is the place where players can communicate with each other. Sharing their opinions and latest loot. Even contact the developers and community managers.

Best Institute for Adobe Flash in Jalandhar
Adobe Flash is a multimedia software platform used for Production of Animations, Rich Internet Applications, Mobile Applications, Mobile Games and Desktop Applications. Flash displays text, vector graphics and raster graphics to provide animations, video games and applications. It allows streaming of audio and video, and can capture mouse, keyboard, microphone and camera input.
Animation Bugs is the training institute for learning Adobe Flash. It has the best infrastructure and atmosphere. The faculties are also well trained and experienced.
Uses of Adobe Flash:-
Websites: In the early 2000s, Flash was widely installed on desktop computers, and was commonly used to display interactive web pages, online games, and to playback video and audio content. In 2005, YouTube was founded by former PayPal employees, and it used Flash Player as a means to display compressed video content on the web.
Between 2000 and 2010, numerous businesses used Flash-based websites to launch new products, or to create interactive company portals. Notable users include Nike, Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, General Electric, World Wildlife Fund, HBO, Cartoon Network and Disney.
After Adobe introduced hardware-accelerated 3D for Flash (Stage3D), Flash websites saw a growth of 3D content for product demonstrations and virtual tours.
In 2007, YouTube offered videos in HTML5 format to support the iPhone and iPad, which did not support Flash Player. After a controversy with Apple, Adobe stopped developing Flash Player for Mobile, focussing its efforts on Adobe AIR applications
and HTML5 animation. In 2015, Google introduced Google Swiffy to convert Flash animation to HTML5, a tool Google would use to automatically convert Flash web ads for mobile devices. In 2015, YouTube switched to HTML5 technology on all devices, however it will preserve the Flash-based video player for older web browsers.
Video Games: Flash video games are popular on the Internet, with portals like Newgrounds dedicated to hosting of Flash-based games.
Popular games developed with Flash include Angry Birds, Clash of Clans, FarmVille, AdventureQuest and Machinarium.
Adobe introduced various technologies to help build video games, including Adobe AIR (to release games for desktop or mobile platforms), Adobe Scout (to improve performance), (to convert C++- based games to run in Flash), and Stage3D (to support GPU- accelerated video games). 3D frameworks like Away3D and Flare3D simplified creation of 3D content for Flash. Adobe AIR allows creation of Flash-based mobile games, which may be published to the Google Play and iTunes app stores.
Flash is also used to build interfaces and HUDs for 3D video games using Scaleform GFX, a technology that renders Flash content within non-Flash video games. Scaleform is supported by more than 10 major video game engines including Unreal Engine, UDK, Cry Engine and PhyreEngine, and has been used to provide 3D interfaces for more than 150 major video game titles since its launch in 2003.
Format:-
FLA:- Flash source files are in the FLA format, and contain graphics and animation, as well as embedded assets such as bitmap images, audio files and FLV video files. The Flash source file format is a proprietary format and Adobe Animate is the only available authoring tool capable of editing such files. Flash source files (.fla) may be compiled into Flash movie files (.swf) using Adobe Animate. Note that FLA files can be edited, but output (.swf) files cannot.
SWF:- Flash movie files are in the SWF format, traditionally called "ShockWave Flash" movies, "Flash movies", or "Flash applications", usually have a .swf file extension, and may be used in the form of a web page plug-in, strictly "played" in a standalone Flash Player, or incorporated into a self-executing Projector movie (with the .exe extension in Microsoft Windows). Flash Video files have a .flv file extension and are either used from within .swf files or played through a flv-aware player, such as VLC, or QuickTime and Windows Media Player with external codecs added.
The use of vector graphics combined with program code allows Flash files to be smaller—and thus allows streams to use less bandwidth— than the corresponding bitmaps or video clips. For content in a single format (such as just text, video, or audio), other alternatives may provide better performance and consume less CPU power than the corresponding Flash movie, for example when using transparency or making large screen updates such as photographic or text fades.
In addition to a vector-rendering engine, the Flash Player includes a virtual machine called the Action Script Virtual Machine (AVM) for scripting interactivity at run-time, with video, MP3-based audio, and bitmap graphics. As of Flash Player 8, it offers two video codecs: On2 Technologies VP6 and Sorenson Spark, and run- time JPEG, Progressive JPEG, PNG, and GIF capability.
3D:- Flash Player 11 introduced a full 3D shader API, called Stage3D, which is fairly similar to WebGl Stage3D enables GPU-accelerated rendering of 3D graphics within Flash games and applications, and has been used to build Angry Birds, and a couple of other notable games.
Various 3D frameworks have been built for Flash using Stage3D, such as Away3D 4, Copper Cube, Flare3D, Starling,. Professional game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity also export Flash versions which use Stage3D to render 3D graphics.

No Postcards: Away3D rants
No Postcards: Away3D rants
Been busy lately working on a card game. The display relies heavily on postcards-in-space 2.5D effect, so early on I had to make a choice of what libraries to use. Starling is my go-to framework, but it did not have any 3D display classes (only a few weeks ago 1.6 was released with a some 3D support) so I decided to use a layered Starling + Away3D display.
I ended up with 2D display list in…

Major Release: GestureWorks Flash 4
Nov 12, 2013 - We are excited to announce the GestureWorks Flash 4 release which includes a number of significant and exciting improvements to this software development framework for multitouch applications. (You can download a Trial or Purchase a copy in our online store.)
The most fundamental change to the framework is in how GestureWorks Flash 4 behaves in 3D space. This improvement not only encompassed how objects are rendered with Away3D, but how motion gestures are analyzed behind the scenes for devices like the Leap Motion Controller.
Away3D Support
With the new Away3D support, three dimensional models may be authored in external programs like Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema4D, and Blender and imported into a GestureWorks Flash project through simple CML (Creative Markup Language) declarations. One of the templates we provide in this release includes a 3D molecule viewer. Please check out our 3D tutorials for interactive display objects and see all of the amazing things you can build quickly.
3D interactions and handling are done in the same manner that 2D interactions are completed, so previous methods of working with interactive display objects (CML) and gesture definition assignments (GML, Gesture Markup Language) have been preserved. Another feature of 3D support is that any new 2D applications you create will automatically take advantage of the 3D rendering pipeline by representing your 2D objects as textures on 3D objects. This means that your application will benefit from a performance boost, since rendering instructions are completely offloaded to the GPU.
Leap Motion Support
GestureWorks Flash 4 true 3D gesture recognition support opens up a whole new set of possibilities. With support for an inexpensive device like the Leap Motion Controller, GestureWorks Flash 4 expands the ways of interacting with applications. Along with support for 3D gestures, the framework includes visual feedback indicators that let users know where their hands correlate with the interactive display and what types of interactions are possible. Users can see how their hands can grab an object to manipulate it or gesture in mid-air for more information.
Combining the 3D interaction space with the 2D touch surface also opens up new possibilities for multimodal applications, where touch and motion can be used together. The GestureWorks Flash 4 framework has significantly improved the accuracy and gesture recognition capabilities of the Leap Motion Controller. This makes it easier for developers to author applications, more so than by using Leap Motion’s API alone.
New Modules and UI Components
GestureWorks Flash 4 also contains a new set of very useful software modules. Highlights are: an HTML browser element that allows you to explore the web, Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text through Microsoft SAPI (for accessibility), updatedStarling support, touch input recorder, Gesture Visualizer, and much more.
