Jean discovered the note tucked neatly under his door, a single brow arched in curiosity before a grin spread across his features. Without hesitation, he snatched up his jacket and set off on the short journey to find Akina. As he approached the designated spot, his eyes were immediately drawn upward, where a white sheet hung between the trees, adorned with bold letters spelling out the words:

Happy birthday Jean!

A laugh bubbled up from deep within him, his amusement evident as he surveyed the makeshift banner. Pausing beneath the tree where Akina perched, Jean couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for her thoughtful gesture, despite its extravagance.

"Thank you for this," he called up to her with a warm smile, his eyes sparkling with appreciation. Though the display might have been a bit over the top, he found himself relishing the attention—it was his day, after all.

Basking in the spotlight, Jean couldn't suppress the playful glint in his eyes as he looked up at Akina. "Are you coming down so I can thank you properly?" he teased, his grin widening as he awaited her response. After all, what better way to celebrate his birthday than with the company of friends?

Was that... It was! A lizard! Though Simba did have to admit that it was a little difficult to keep up with it since it seemed to vanish into thin air every few moments. "Wait! Come back!" the cub called wandering through the forest wondering where the reptile had disappeared off to just now. That lizard was the only other one that he'd recognized animal wise before having left his homeland and the lion also figured that it could speak as well or at least give him some kind of clue as to his whereabouts. "I just wanna find out where I am..."

Most would be a little concerned at the lion, but Rapunzel tilted her head, squatting down to him "Hey! If you're hungry we can get you something but please don't eat my little friend" she hummed, offering a hand and some patience.

To Brighter Days by speaks, this one is about Lance trying to work up the nerve to ask Keith to go on an exploration mission together, short and sweet and really good characterization.

Just Come to Me Once by laallomri (i was rereading this one every couple of days for like 2 weeks lol)This one is essentially a rewrite of the entire flying back to earth in the lions arc, i really love the different planets and cultures this one comes up with, they feel like real places they characters couldve gone in the show. I also appreciate that this one doesnt take keith too seriously, like they do a rlly good job of making him feel very real and fleshed out and like an actual teenage boy and not just an edgey angst machine like they poke fun at him and i appreciate that.

never saw you coming by dimpleforyourthoughts, i really love the progression in this one, again the characterization feels really realistic and this one does the whole "one of us sacrifices ourself for the other and romantic drama happens post healing pod" thing but it does it in a really unique and interesting way i really like!!!

i'm doing a bachelor of science and majoring in maths and physics✨💫 and i would've got to this ask sooner but a physics lecture started just before i got it😭😭 but i do like it so far!! a bit daunting at first but if i manage it right it should be fine. also it's so nice to actually have a routine again lmao

favourite insect is so tough actually. ok so weevils are silly looking with a silly name and lots of variety but i don't really feel special affinity toward them, beetles are cool too they're either really pretty or badass. moths are also beautiful and awesome and so cool but they also dive bomb my face at night sometimes and one of them decided to die in my drink which i didn't realise until after i tried to take a lil sippy and was subsequently sent to hell for a brief moment. spiders are epic i let them live in my room on the ceiling and they catch the mosquitoes and dive bombing moths so we're pretty chill besties tbh. i have not stopped thinking about the argentine ant since i watched the kurzgesagt video on them like. they're just lil guys😭 nothing particularly special about them really. And Yet. so basically they're just like us and i love them for it. anyway, clearly i've been thinking about this and i reckon the truest answer from deep within my soul is the humble millipede. loved them since i was young, they just be walkin' along, hanging out, vibing. gods purest critter. you give them a lil poke and they curl up. ough. i cried once cause my cousin killed one in front of me.
