SYLVIE please tell me if junksen ever gives Michael baby sisters or brothers!!! Does emily carries them??? Do they adopt??? WHAT HAPPENS

so i’ve already talked about this a little bit! but! ive been thinking abt this for a while and the junk-posen family is going to get bigger!!

emily and aubrey honestly didn’t really plan to have more kids after they adopted avery, but these two just honestly? love their kids so much and they adore their family but something in them just! wants more kids! 

they decide that this time around, they’re not going to adopt and instead go with a donor (because while they both would like to adopt, it’s a lot of fucking work (not like pregnancy isnt but it’s a very different kind of work)) 

emily carries the baby mainly because it’s easier for her to take a maternity leave 

aubrey is such a doting wife! she would do anything to make emily more comfortable and emily loves her so much but sometimes she’s like “omg aubrey calm down honey” 

but aubrey cannot calm down because one doctor’s visit they find out that emily’s having t w i n s

emily is literally crying with a mix of surprise and joy and aubrey is losing her MIND because okay she’s excited yeah but ?????? T W I N S ??? 

michael and avery have very different reactions 

michael is very excited because he loves being a big brother it makes him feel so Strong and Important 

avery is like “i asked for a puppy not two babies >:1″ (she’ll come around) 

emily’s students give her a million suggestions for baby names every day and she always tells aubrey all of them

“you know, I’ve always wanted to name my child Spiderman. it’s a family name” 

“our child will not be Spiderman Junk-Posen they will be bullied” 

avery suggests dog names 

“what about rover” 

“no sweetie.” 

they end up deciding on names on their own but they don’t tell anyone until later 

the day that emily gives birth is very Stressful because it’s like the middle of the day and aubrey gets a call at work from stacie saying that her and emily are on the way to the hospital and aubrey practically RUNS to the hospital because DAMNIT I WILL NOT MISS THE BIRTH OF MY BABIES

aubrey had a whole plan worked out but the twins are early and that plan goes out the window

she gets to the hospital just in time and she totally coaches emily through the whole thing and is such a good wife and mama 

emily is probably worried like “aubrey what about michael and avery where are they are they still at school someone needs to pick them up” 

“emily you’re giving birth right now thats not what you should be thinking about but stacie asked chloe to get them theyre okay dont worry” 

aubrey definitely cries when she finally gets to hold her babies

emily is too tired to cry but her heart is so full because her babies are here and in good health and she loves her family so much!!

michael and avery are very excited to welcome the new babies to the family later that day 

michael is So Scared to hold his new sibling and aubrey and emily have never seen avery be so Gentle and Quiet but she’s whispering to the new babies in such a tiny voice and they are just filled with so much love

the junk-posen family feels so perfect and complete with the new additions of Natalie and Elliot

it’s pretty rare that junksen fights

when they do it’s either something dumb (”emily theres GLITTER ALL OVER THE BED” “i was crafting what do you want me to do!!”) or its over the kids

they’re both great parents but they just have very different styles of parenting

aubrey is a little more “this is what you do and this is what you dont do and thats final” 

emily is more “okay well this is why this is what youre supposed to do and why you shouldnt do this!” 

it frustrates aubrey when it comes to things like the kids whining at the store over not getting some toy or candy or something

because emily’s over here explaining why one cereal is better for the kids and aubrey’s like “EMILY. just tell them NO.” 

“but they should know why!” 

“we don’t have time to debate honey nut cheerios vs lucky charms all day!” 

but emily’s method is better in the long run when the kids are being punished for doing something. 

“avery you’re not allowed to watch tv tonight. because you bit someone. and you cant bite someone because thats not nice okay?” 

aubrey would’ve reacted more something like “AVERY JUNK-POSEN YOU B I T SOMEONE? ROOM NOW.” 

sometimes that happens but emily softens the blow

they generally work really well together but sometimes aubrey gets a little insecure as a parent

because like? emily’s LIFE is working with kids

(once michael and avery are into their teens, aubrey’s parenting tends to be a little better. emily’s not the BEST with teenagers. still good, but not great) 

but emily just tells aubrey that she’s a fine parent, sometimes she loses her temper but thats bound to happen! as long as she does no harm to the kids and loves them then! shes doing fine

thats usually how they make up if they fight over something. they’re good at talking it out. 

and they always try to do little things for each other after a fight too

like emily will volunteer to make dinner or aubrey volunteers to drive the kids to stacie’s 

or they have a night to themselves to cool off (honestly, how would these two survive without a+ babysitter stacie)

ok so parent/teacher junksen are so soft and pure, and now im thinking about them being married and maybe having a second kid and michael would be so excited about being a big brother???

they DEFINITELY have another kid okay!! im so glad you sent this ive been looking for an opportunity to talk about the second junksen kid omf

maybe about ? a year or so (maybe a little less) into their marriage emily brings up the topic 

“aubrey, i know we’re kind of finally settling down and are comfortable in our routine with us working and with michael’s schedule and stuff.” 

“but?” 

“but,” emily smiles “do you remember when you asked me if i wanted kids even though i work with them?” 

“yes, and you’re the best mom I know.” 

“I think that’s you honey.” 

“Wrong, it’s you. But continue.” 

“How would you feel about having another kid? With me. Together. Well not biologically together because that’s not really possible right now but you know what I mean.” 

aubrey definitely says yes, and they set to work right away

they decide to go through with an adoption process like aubrey did with michael 

they go to michael with the news before they start though (even though they’re set in doing it and they know the process could take a while, they still want to talk to him about it because he’s about 10 at this point so he’s old enough to kind of give input) 

they’re really excited when they tell him and he’s really excited also and they’re all excited together !! 

they start transforming the spare bedroom into a nursery and michael helps pick the decorations and stuff 

he wants it to be space themed but they convince him that the baby might not want an entire planetarium in their room 

so they let him pick paint colors instead and he picks a pretty blue (the kid has good taste, after all he’s aubrey’s son) 

they are all so excited when they get to welcome their new little girl into their life, Avery Junk-Posen (yes the poor child gets to carry on the Junk legacy a little) 

Avery has dark, curly hair and big brown eyes that remind Aubrey of Emily’s eyes 

She’s about 3 when they adopt her, so she’s already toddling around making trouble 

Michael is a doting older brother, constantly following her around because he’s afraid she’ll get into something dangerous

he’s very protective of his little sister 

Avery likes pulling on Michael’s long hair though and he tries to be gentle like “Avery okay stop. Please stop.” but then he’s like “MAMA GET AVERY OFF ME!!” 

Michael had a few of those moments where he felt like Avery was getting way more attention than he was

but Emily and Aubrey were quick to notice (Em works with kids and Aubrey grew up with three older brothers so they know how to recognize it) 

they help by doing something with michael while avery is napping or something. usually baking, because that kind of became like their thing that they do together 

Michael always feels better afterwards and shares his cookies with Avery

Mm probably not too much. Because on one hand it’s like “wow all of the others are like A Group and I’m Not Part Of That” but on the other hand…………………………………………………………………………………he avoids having to live with having Junk as part of his name. 

The others sort of take it in stride because lbr, kids made fun of them. 

Avery probably makes some kind of joke like “Yeah and you wish you could have a piece of this junk!”

Elliot just tells them to fuck off and get some better joke material. 

And Natalie just laughs with them and is like “yeah isn’t it great!!!” and the other kids are like ….??????????

first things first none of the junk-posen kids are straight thank you very much

michael is gay, avery and elliot are bi, and natalie is a lesbian 

the first one of the kids who has like a real relationship is avery 

michael had lots of crushes but he never really knew how to act on them and he never told anyone but emily about them (who encouraged him to move slow if he wanted to and that there was no rush!) 

but avery is the first one of the kids to bring someone home 

it does not go well

she’s about 16 at the time and she asks emily and aubrey “hey mamas can I bring my boyfriend to dinner tonight his parents are working late and -” 

“YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND AND YOU DIDNT TELL US!!!” “aubrey honey dont yell” “sorry *exaggerated whisper* you have a boyfriend and you didnt tell us???????” 

“Yes his name is Josh please dont be weird about it” 

and she leaves to go to soccer practice and emily and aubrey rush to the store because they wanna make a great dinner for their baby’s first boyfriend! 

((its not AJ’s first relationship but they dont know that))

emily is trying to get the twins to clean up but they are not cooperating and aubrey’s just like “ELLIOT AND NAT IF YOU DONT PICK UP YOUR MESS BEFORE AJ AND JOSH GET HERE IM TELLING MICHAEL NOT TO GIVE YOU ANY BROWNIES” 

avery and josh arrive for dinner and emily can see aubrey internally screaming already because oh boy josh is a real….greasy boy

he’s just a big meathead jock who doesnt have any manners and emily has to hold aubrey’s hand so that she doesnt punch this boy because he’s not even being nice to avery not to mention the family 

all he does is talk about all of the 15 different sports he plays and how he’s starting a beatles cover band because “people dont appreciate real music enough.” (aubrey and emily roll their eyes so hard) 

natalie totally asks him lots of questions to annoy him and elliot fires back sarcastic comments at him every 2 seconds 

avery for once in her life is quiet the whole dinner 

after avery takes josh outside so that she can say goodbye and emily’s doing the dishes

aubrey sighs and leans against the counter “now, i dont wanna make rash judgements but josh is a little bit….” 

“of a dick?” 

“emily junk-posen i cannot believe you said that natalie is right there” 

“Nah mama, mom’s right he’s a real dick.”

aubrey and emily try to be nice about the whole dinner when avery comes back, but even AJ agrees that he’s a bit of an ass and the only reason she’s hasnt dumped him yet was because she agreed to go to homecoming with him

“it’s only a week away then im dumping him. he’s all hot for one of the cheerleaders anyway.” 

“typical! he doesnt appreciate my baby!!! if he shows up looking like a grease pit for homecoming photos i will spray him down with the hose.”

they split up into teams with aubrey in charge of dinner and michael in charge of cake 

and its basically like picking dodgeball teams in school aubrey’s like “alright elliot’s with me”

aubrey and michael look at each other like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 

because natalie is a disaster in the kitchen and likes experimenting with random things and it drives both aubrey and michael crazy 

aubrey finally is like “natalie you can make emily a banner”

natalie’s banner ends up being really pretty and nice 

aubrey and elliot make emily’s favorite meal 

and michael and avery probably fight while making the cake but it gets done

sometimes aubrey gets stacie and bella to take emily out somewhere while they do emily’s special dinner

sometimes they’ll go out to dinner if aubrey gets too busy or something 

natalie and elliot probably both always make emily a pretty piece of art and theyre all hung in emily and aubreys room or sometimes in emilys classroom 

when they sing happy birthday its really nice except for nat because she is the one junk-posen child who did not get the singing talent

its okay though she makes up for it in volume and spirit 

aubrey’s present for emily is getting the kids out of the house for the rest of the night so that she can give her a proper happy birthday

aubrey is open to the idea, but does want to have one of their kids naturally; also she knows how long the adoption process can be and she’s just eager to have a kid with her wife 

aubrey definitely wants to carry their first child (emily’s probably so soft with pregnant aubrey omf.....)

but almost immediately after she gives birth to their son she’s like “that was terrible, we’re adopting our next kid” 

“aw, you’re already thinking about out next kid!!”

they end up adopting a little girl as well a couple of years later

aubrey is very picky when naming their kids

one day emily is like “I really want to name our son after my dad”

but emily laughs and is like “no honey don’t worry i’d never do that to our child”

they end up naming their son Michael Reese Junk-Posen and their daughter Peyton Avery Junk-Posen 

emily and aubrey both singing lullabies to their babies ffffffrick

surprisingly, aubrey ends up giving into her kids demands much more than emily does

emily is really good at talking her kids down from tantrums they’ll have over not being able to get candy in the store. she’s amazing at it and the kids always end up accepting whatever deal she makes with them to get them to behave

meanwhile aubrey just wants them to please be quiet for two seconds and is like “okay fine here you both get one candy” “YAY” 

aubrey is mama and emily is mommy 

they actually had a small crisis about who was who because michael said “mama” first but they were both in the room so they were both shouted “IM MAMA. WAIT NO YOURE NOT MAMA IM MAMA???” 

they decided it by both sitting next to each other and telling michael to crawl to mama

he ended up coming to aubrey so she grinned and snuggled him and emily just huffs “traitor” 

they sort it out after that and start exclusively referring to themselves as mama/mommy respectively 

peyton said mama first as well and emily felt betrayed

“mama is just easier to say, emily” “shush you did this on purpose” 

omg emily and aubrey go to all of peyton’s soccer games and are so freaking obnoxious (soccer mom aubrey getting in fights at PTA meetings and emily having to calm her down)

michael wants to become a singer like his moms were, peyton is more interested in visual art though 

michael thinks aunt beca is the freaking coolest 

peyton’s a bit of a trouble maker and rough houses with michael a lot and plays pranks on him 

the four of them go on family outings a lot, even if its just to the park or something

emily will play volleyball with michael and aubrey will read and watch peyton kick her soccer ball around 

they’re a beautiful family and i would die for them

Michael Reese Posen 

Michael is autistic and is partially nonverbal

Michael’s hyperfixations include space, dinosaurs, baking, and Disney! Space is his really big one though

Baking is a sort of stim for him! He loves working with bread dough the best and he’s a great baker (he learned from Emily, of course, but the student very soon became the teacher) 

He also stims by humming, music is very comforting for him. Emily and Aubrey help calm him down by singing for him 

Michael becomes a baker naturally, but i like to think that sometimes he volunteers at a local science museum 

Michael’s always had long hair, it’s just how he prefers it. But Aubrey had an internal fit when she saw that he was starting to rock a man bun and beard

“Emily he looks like the seedy hipster who served me my coffee and tried to get me to listen to his podcast” 

“Honey, just let him have his hair like he wants.” 

Michael loves his siblings to death, and they’re all a little protective of him as well even though he’s the oldest 

But sometimes he has a hard time being around them because Avery and Natalie are always so loud and he gets overstimulated easily; and Elliot tends to be really sarcastic and Michael has a hard time with that. They all try to be more conscious of their older brother’s comfort levels 

Michael’s always loved the color yellow and collects lots of yellow things. Basically every birthday present is something new for his collection 

Avery Jaylen Junk-Posen

Goes by either Avery or A.J. 

Avery is a little bit of an ass 

She’s always been a little bit of a rebel, her and Aubrey definitely butt heads a lot (they’re a little too similar for their own good; both super competitive, super stubborn, and set in their own ways) 

When she was a kid she was definitely the kid who bit people and knocked down other kid’s block towers just because she can 

As she got older, she felt very suffocated by her parents and snuck out a lot (neither Aubrey nor Emily were happy about this at all) 

She probably got into at least one fist fight 

A.J. really likes hanging out with Stacie and Bella (Bella is kind of like a cool older sister to all of the junk-posen kids, her and Avery are besties even though they’re like 7 years apart) 

Gets all of her fashion influence from Stacie and Bella and always looks her Best 

Also she’s blind as shit and needs glasses 

Avery loves traveling and wants to take a road trip all on her own across the country

She loves all kinds of mythology and also history, and will probably be either a classics or a history major and pursue being a teacher 

A.J. is by far the shortest member of the Junk-Posen family. Michael is huge, like 6′3″, and Nat and Elliot both inherited Emily’s height (both around 5′7″ ish). Meanwhile Avery is out here barely hitting 5′2″ 

Natalie Rae Junk-Posen

Natalie usually goes by Nat, but doesn’t mind either

She’s so loud and always yelling and inherited Emily’s infectious smiles and huge brown eyes 

Very impulsive and clumsy also 

Huge science nerd! Her favorite is chemistry 

She can also do math problems all day but if you ask her to read a book she’ll probably laugh in your face and walk away 

She’s also super into abstract and modern art! The messier she can get while splattering paint on a canvas, the better

Emily let her dye her hair for the first time when she was 11 and she’s never looked back 

She totally changes her hair color and style like, yearly

Aubrey was okay with this, but when Natalie came home with new piercings she was like “are you serious”

Elliot Lee Junk-Posen 

Elliot didn’t discover he was trans until he was about 13, and didn’t come out until about a year later

He struggled for a while because him and Natalie are identical twins, and everyone always would comment on how similar they looked, how you couldn’t tell them apart and it did not help Elliot’s dysphoria at all 

When he did come out, his family was nothing but supportive and even help him with choosing a name, because he hasn’t found one that fits quite right yet

Emily and Aubrey taking Elliot out to get a new wardrobe and get a haircut and wowowowow they love him so much and he lowkey cries a little bit 

You know that one chart that’s like jock/prep/goth/nerd? Elliot is all the way over on prep he’s such a preppy kid 

He’s super organized and makes bullet journals and probably spends more money on stationary and pens than socially acceptable

He also has artistic talent, but unlike Nat, he’s actually probably going to pursue either art or english (he’s a big book junkie) 

Elliot prefers realism to Nat’s abstract art though 

Elliot and Nat probably share a room and Elliot always yells at her because she blasts music so freaking loud 

He’s a grumpy, sarcastic boy and I would die for him
