Kandi beamed. “Okay, choose your player. Knight, bard, medic or runaway future ruler?”

Beat.

That last one was oddly specific.

“...Bard!” Booloo beamed, finishing her character sheet. “Her name is Flurry Petalwind, she’s a fairy bard with a focus on mental manipulation and healing magic- basically the magic defense girl. Cheerful and carefree as petals in the wind, always with a song in her heart and a love for all creatures!”

“Knight!” Guy geeked.

“Name?” Kandi asked.

“Cool McKnight!”

Beat.

“...Clyde McKnight it is.”

“Avery, have you chosen?” asked Kandi.

“Runaway Future Ruler. Imma name my character…Princess Ivory. Ivy for short.”

“Ooooooh!” Booloo beamed.

“Guess that leaves me to be the medic.” Kandi laughed. “Makes sense.”

Ellie laughed. “What am I supposed to do? Watch a baby that’s gonna be my future brother-in-law sleep?”

“I didn’t even realize Mrs. Kaine could crank out another kid until she did. Thought he was a nephew, at first.” Booloo paused. “Well, that was a bit too blunt, sorry,”

“The whole family was surprised, we can still produce.” Kandi laughed. “Why do you think I asked if I could spend Thanksgiving day at the studio?”

Awkward silence.

“Ellie, as long as you don’t play in traffic, do whatever.” Kandi instructed.

“Can I read the NPC dialogue or whatever?” Ellie smirked.

“Yeah.”

“Cool.” “Now, we begin.”

Kandi offered Ellie a piece of dialogue.

“Kandi, this screams ‘medical student handwriting’.” Ellie laughed. 

“...I’ll help you.” Kandi whispered to her.

All was calm and peaceful in the village of (insert here)...

Kandi looked at the team. “We need a village name.”

“Flapjacks.” Avery suggested.

Kandi paused. Flapjacks?

“Sorry, kinda hungry.”

“Flapjackia.” Booloo beamed. “Pro tip, stuck on a town name? Add topia to a random thing, or ia, or town. Tableia. Rosetopia,  Frost Town.”

“And other suggestions?” Kandi tried not to laugh.

“Skywindia!” Guy beamed.

“Surprised he has the best town name…or name in general.” Ellie snarked.

“Oh come on.” Kandi joshed. “What’s wrong with Wisteria the Medic?”

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaanyways…”

All was calm and peaceful in the village of Flapjack-Skywindia…

…until it wasn’t.

“Ooooh.” Booloo beamed. 

The village was located adjacent to a village, called Erotic Eclipses (last time I let my brother and the rest of Love Bullet choose a name -Kandi).

Avery beamed. “Ooooh!” 

“That’s why you don’t let your brothers and/or sisters name stuff.” Guy explained. “Everyone with siblings knows that.”

“Yep…” everyone else agreed.

And right by the well near Erratic Eclipses, there was a dragon’s cave. This dragon had been sleeping for a century, prior to the incidents of this adventure. 

“Oh, this is going to be GOOD.’ Booloo rubbed her hands.

“Yeah, what she said.” Guy laughed happily, proud of Booloo’s enthusiasm.

“WOAH-HO-HO!” Avery gasped. “WE ARE AWAKENING A BEHEMOTH!” 

“Correct.” Kandi straightened her papers. 

Back in Flapjack-Skywindia, it was another typical day for…

“Flurry Petalwind, as she was trying to write a new song.” Booloo spoke up first.

“Okay, how’s THAT going for her?” Ellie rolled her eyes.

“Going good, she’s just settled down in the town and is trying to hone in her magic.” Booloo stimmed happily with her leg bouncing up and down.

“We can work with that.” Ellie sighed. She wondered if there was a fae-way she could get drunk without ruining her insides. “Who’s next?”

Kandi chimed in. “And a few bushes down the path, Wisteria Oakheart, a medic, was tending to a baby fawn.”

“Okay…” Ellie yawned.

my art is heavily inspired by pokémon and early 2000s graphic styles like the puyo puyo games, with sprinkles of poppy candy colours from games like splatoon and muse dash! i <333 bright colours, so i'm preemptively putting an eyestrain warning on my art! i'll try to tag, but i'm not really sure what does and doesn't count for eyestrain aside from the obvious, so... some stuff might slip through ☆⌒(>。<)

speaking of: i'm a maaaaaajor splatoon fan. it's one of if not my #1 favourite game of all time!! i love it with all my heart and it's been a major inspiration for me and my sense of style over the years so if you dislike it i don't think we can be friends i'm sorry </3 /srs

i can flex basically anything, but my favourite weapon is carbon deco, and it's what i'm best at! i also play a lot of bucket and sword ☆(>ᴗ•)

another thing to know about me is that i am not afraid to be a little cringe! i self-insert into things, i put my sona in places, i selfship! if that's not for you, i'd recommend peacing out right now, cause you're gonna see that at some point!

I love everyone’s DOL pcs...

Like people have whole different save files to romance each LI, and they all have different personalities and appearances and backgrounds.  I treat my PC like a self-insert, but you guys treat it like an OC, and that’s so cute and cool!!!  

If I had to make a legit character for my PC, I guess I’d go with someone desperate for love in all shapes and forms, no matter how sick and twisted it is.  That’s why they’ve nearly maxed out all the characters’ Loves.  It seems wrong to 5-time everyone, but they just love being loved...   

They love Kylar’s toxic obsession.  They love how he’ll get violent if his jealousy is too high, because it makes them feel like they’re worth fighting for... Being threatened at knifepoint not to move makes them all giddy.  

They love Whitney’s exhibitionism, because it makes them feel like he’s proud of owning them.  It makes them feel like somebody views like as a prized possession.  Oh how wonderful to be valued... even as a toy.  

They love Sydney’s dedication.  Whether they corrupt them or not, they always talk about being bound to each other.  No matter how sinful he becomes, he only wants to sin with you, and isn’t that beautiful?  To bring someone to their basest, most wild desire, and they still only have eyes for you?  Their loyalty is inspiring, even if the player can’t replicate it. 

They love Robin’s boyish love.  It’s a first love, sweet and innocent.  Even in the environment the both of them are in, he hasn’t lost his kindness.  He’s still shy and gentle and lovely...

They love Avery’s surface-level affection.  Not all love has to be deep.  Not all love has to be love.  They’re content with playing pretend for a few hours a week.  They’re happy to play the arm candy as long as they can hold his arm... As long as he still asks for kisses, as long as he still wants them.  It’s okay.  She’s happy to be wanted.  

I haven’t had many interactions with Alex, Eden, the Black Wolf, or the Great Hawk, but I’m sure my PC will love them too and demand their love in return.  She just loves to be loved.  It’s addicting... So she’ll keep collecting hearts, and maybe with enough of them she can patch the holes in her own.
