Melhon, baby sister. (PT. 2)

Note: would you like to see this stuff/this fic again? Lmk! Inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water so ifykyk (almost cried making this I miss my blue alien boi TvT)

Translations: Auēne - No/This can’t be, Pahatou yukamwang - Please, little sister, Wae’noq - florals (Suran’s nickname for Mo’at.) Melhon - Hello/Hi/Hey, Melhon ne’fawe - Hello but respectful, jahnkraa - a way of saying “You.”

Two weeks. Two weeks since Mo’atiekahn’s eyes closed for the last time. A forever slumber she couldn’t get out of. Suran was out of it, more than the usual.

“¡Melhon! I come with food!” Ríya called from the other side of the door.”

“Melhon ne’fawe, come in.” He groaned, wiping away his tears. He never let anyone see him cry. Not even Ríya. She tilted her head, looking at her brother. She place the plate down on his desk.

“Why are you crying little one?” She said. She never called him that. The Ebūnese aren’t fond of nicknames but this one he likes. Mo’at he signed. Mo’at went mute a lot so they created a type of sign language to communicate with her. Ríya remembered everything.

- Flashback -

“Suran! Jeh!” Lehsān called from far, running to them with young Mo’at in her arms.

“She was hit…” she placed her down to the ground gently, making sure to keep pressure on her wound.

Suran was the last to find her like this. “Auēne..” he ran to her side, “Who hit her Jehan, who?”

“I-I don’t know..I was taking my bow back to reload when she cried for you…I’m so sorry na wae’noq..” she smiled through the pain.

“S-suran’adan…”

“Yes ma wae’noq..? Anything love?”

“Thank y…Suran, it’s so...”

The life left the pups hazel and blue eyes. “Mo’at. Mo’atiekahn! Wake up now! You can not do this right…now…”

Palace guards pulled him off her as they took her away.

“My King she is gone! We have to back and fight!” He stops crying..he stares out into the burning forests, the fire had spread. He looks out for Lehsān and heads to the woods.

“Christopher! Jahnkraa demon!” He called out, his voice already scratchy. The tall vampire fell from trees, landing on his feet.

“What do you wolves want—“

He puts a knife to his throat. “Mo’at. How did my sister die?” He breathes heavily.

“It wasn’t…me..Suran. Olam!” It was his sister.

“You killed an Ebūnese princess! Are you stupid?” Olam bows her head to Suran.

“I am sorry, your braveness. I did not no—“

“How did you not know Olam! You are just a foolish…” he takes the arrow that killed her and shows it to Olam, guilt flooding her like a river.

“Is this yours?” She stays silent. Chris shoves her forward. “Speak, now!”

“Yes! Yes it was my bow I was a stupid child!” He pulls the dagger to Olam’s neck.

“Sister..for a sister. You move, I cut.” Chris’s breaths are harsh and sharp.

“Let her go..”

“Fine, go on. Fight. My sister is with Fivah now.”

- End Of Flashback -

“I wish I can see her again. From the moment the Evaan’s brought her to the palace I knew I had to protect her.”

Ríya stroked his hair. “You will see her again, we all will. Remember our spirit guide changes once someone dies. We will see her soon, don’t worry.”

The night he saw her was a crecent moon. It was in a dream.

He was in the forest when he saw her near the Dolaşmak River. She was playing with the fish like she always did.

“Suran! You made it!” She said, she was around four in this memory. He looked at how happy she was playing. She turned around and, she was twelve again. In the same clothing she died in, blood and all. He started to cry about how Fivah had taken her from the family so early.

“Brother, why are you crying?”

“Melhon, little sister.”

“Why are you sad? Did something happen?” She says, unaware of her fate. “No,” he replied with a sad smile. “I just really missed you. We all do.”

He woke up from his dream with tears down his eyes. Why am I crying? He asked himself. Then he remembered. He went to Mo’at’s room to find Lehsān sitting on her bed.

Enakei is a Korean fashion brand, beginning in 2006 when artist Suran Park began hosting her designs and illustrations online. They quickly became popular amongst girls and young women particularly through social media through use as avatars and in web graphics. This popularity eventually evolved into Suran Park’s designs being featured on clothing and stationary under the brand Enakei. There are two traditional, original Enakei styles:

1. Enakei: Stylized cartoon busts & portraits of young women wearing pop fashion designed between 2006-2011. Different pieces are watermarked differently and some not at all.

2. Jennie Enakei: Simplistic, dreamy portraits of young women using airbrush to create an airy, romantic look & feel. Drawn over images of Korean models. Very popular on stationary and apparel. @jennie-enakei​ is an inactive Tumblr blog from 2011 whose archive has a great selection of Jennie Enakei pieces! (Product images from archived enakei.kr website)

However, these pieces and their art styles have also been identified as Enakei:

Which makes me wonder, does the art have to be made by Suran Park or can other similar art (such as Mellow J’s LovelyGirl series) be considered Enakei? Could it mean that these images & their styles, which you’ll more than likely recognize if you’ve been in the web graphics scene for a while, could also be categorized under the name Enakei?:

If you have any links, sites, sources or memories (products you had in the past, dress-up games you’ve played, graphics you’ve made, etc.) that might help me identify these, let me know or discuss in the replies... ^^ Personally, I’m very, very happy to have finally been able to put a name to these particular pieces and styles of art because I’ve seen them around for years with no way to describe them && I’ve received many questions about them over time and I’ve never been able to give a proper answer or nod in the right direction for anybody who wants to look for more!!

instruments: phew, nothing tbh. i once tried the violin when i was little for 1,5 years but i gave it up. i also went to a course for the djembé, which was actually a lot of fun? but i never owned one so i just stopped at some point. other than that we had to learn the harmonica in school and i went to the music-branch in middleschool which was very silly because i am not talented in music and i still don’t know the musical scale fghjk. so i was just singing in the choir and now i know that i can’t live without music, but i don’t want to make it myself.

dream job(s): author, researcher at some uni, working in uni in general? might even be professor for this

dream trip: phew. the whole world? definitely the whole of asia from west to east from north to south; specific mentions is Gyeongju in S. Korea, Kyoto in Japan,  Kathmandu in Nepal, Istanbul in Turkey  and I really really want to travel the Transsibirian Railway? I also really want to travel through Mongolia and Siberia. New Zealand and Australia for sure, that has been my dream for ages. Cairo in Egypt, Addis Abeba in Ethiopia. Canada and Alaska. the list goes on and on and on

last book i read: boy. i read only uni stuff. but i read The Clouds Float North - The Complete Poems of Yu Xuanji, translated by David Young and Jiann I. Lin. I can recommend it dearly, it’s a bilingual edition and her poems are so beautiful. 

Am gonna count  Recasting Antiquity: Ancient Bronzes and Ritual Hermeneutics in the Song Dynasty by Jeffrey Moser, eventhough it’s a dissertation. 

top 3 fictional universes i’d like to live in: 1.) Harry Potter, because that’s what I grew up with and I would still choose from all the worlds. It always feels like home. 2.) Avatar: The Last Airbender - another thing I grew up with and I would adore. I wouldn’t need to have any adventures, i wish i could just bend elements and chill my life. 3.) Eragon (Inheritance Cycle). This one is just goals. Dragons?! Dragons. Please gimme.
