Avarius is the god of war. He embodies the nature of war, as well as humanity's own contradictory nature. He is the god of compassion and cruelty, protection and aggression, justice and oppression, humility and pride, mercy and ruthlessness, generosity and greed, love and hatred… he is a living paradox.

Avarius is extremely chaotic in nature. One day he could be fighting on the side of justice, freeing an oppressed people, while the next he's rampaging through a village of civilians. Avarius is truly unpredictable; the only thing that remains consistent about him is that he brings destruction and death wherever he goes.

Sometimes mortals praise and love him, other times they dread and fear him. Soldiers often pray to Avarius to live through the next battle, though he inconsistently answers their calls. Followers of Avarius constantly hone their combat skills, hoping to gain his favor.

As a god, Avarius has a variety of powers at his disposal. However, he specializes in combat and destruction, using both his own body and magic. He can conjure any weapon he desires and use it, as well as use magic to simply recreate the effects of the weapon. For example, he could create a nuclear explosion with just a snap of his fingers. He has the ability to transform into a colossal, crocodilian monster to deal massive amounts of damage to his enemies and the environment.

Avarius can change his appearance at will. This is simply his most commonly used form in the modern day. His appearance varies depending on the era and place he is in. His outfit resembles the most common military gear used in that time period and culture. His sacred animal is the saltwater crocodile.

I really do love Ludo’s growth throughout the series. He went from being basically just a joke, to a legitimate potential threat, to just...finding a way to be happy with himself. And with how he apparently grew up, I think that was the best ending he could have had.
