#ava's demon comic

I was hoping someone else would've translated this inscription, but searching the tag provided mostly porn bots, so I stepped up to do it myself! The old Excessan inscribed here says "Know before whom you stand". For a moment I thought the figure in the tree was Titan, but no. It's easy to assume that this is a religious figure given the second panel below:

The figure is built into the massive tree stem it looks like the Excessans [maybe all Excessans?] used to live in, in what's definitely either a palace or church. Given the same page says "thousand-year-old creatures razed" with the destruction of the trees, I would assume the Excessans worshipped the trees they lived in, possibly personifying them as gods with faces. I would bet that we'll see an Excessan myth eventually about the gods that became the trees; the panel with text in particular makes the tree's sap look like it's bleeding and the Excessans are drinking the tree's blood.

Also, love that we know the origin of the broken up Voracian statue! It looks like the two species really were living in harmony before Titan appeared, with the statues to commemorate it.

If I had a nickel for everytime I read and enjoyed a webcomic that has some toxic homerotic subtext between a human and some demonic creature that they're tied to, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

So just a few moments ago when the update came this Thursday, I was showing my sister what was happening in the update due to the fact that she and I have a mutual agreement where we allow the other to talk about their hyper fixation on something. In this case this was me talking about Ava‘s demon.

So I’m showing her the video and we’re just seeing these moments. You know what the important announcement is and everything but then I come across something that just mind blown me:

That necklace that the person is holding is the exact thing that Odin found in the cargo ship!!!!

So we’re definitely going to see them probably meeting up at a party and especially meeting the band!!!

Another thing that I’m really hoping for when they do probably end up at the party is that I really hope that this probably gives Odin a chance to stay close to Ava, or probably notice of the fact that she hates crowds and doesn’t like close spaces because that will be a very interesting thing for him to know about her.

P.S. when I showed my sister this video, even though she has already seen it on YouTube, she ended up calling this character’s life “the Hannah Montana life.”
