ava pereira sexuality headcanon: bisexual icon gender headcanon: idk if i have a specific one?? but i do think we’re long overdue for a trans girl in the skamverse, and i like trans ava a ship i have with said character: a part of me will always yearn for the superior nooreva (nora & ava, i refuse to believe the names were coincidences lmao), but i think yara/ava would also be an incheresting concept...both of them being supportive friends who aren’t afraid to tell it as it is. don’t think that’ll happen so maybe one of josh’s yet to be explored friends? a BROTP i have with said character: i love that they’ve emphasized her and fatou’s friendship. like yes cashqueens forever but i don’t think it’s inherently wrong to be closer with specific people in a group, and she & fatou are very sweet, very iconic. loved their insta story shopping trip :’) a NOTP i have with said character: it's not that i think constantin/ismail are unredeemable it's just that i don’t like redemption via love stories and. they literally bullied her? to the point where she wanted to go to america? a random headcanon: she definitely runs/ran a fandom blog at one point, and maybe also wrote fanfiction. i can’t find it rn but that fan art based on the cashqueens finding out about destiel being canon?? i’m obsessed general opinion over said character: i love her!!! so much!!! i love when she’s smiling and it takes over her whole face :’) she reminds me so much of my irl friends and honestly i think she’s the most realistic character in the new gen. she’s fair and supportive but has her limits, she’s insecure but still confident, she’s funny and friendly yet still kinda awkward. like she didn’t IMMEDIATELY warm to nora, they still had their awkward silence scene, and i just love it + her.

Repost from @vintage_losangeles Paul Revere Williams was told, “your people can’t afford you” and “white people won’t work with you”. Still he persevered and became the 1st black member of the American Institute of Architects. Teaching himself how to draw upside down so clients wouldn’t feel uncomfortable sitting next to him. ⁣⁣⁣He toured construction sites with hands clasped behind his back, because he wasn't sure every person would want to shake a black man's hand - and many of the neighborhoods in which his homes were located were closed to him because of his race.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ He eventually shaped the face of Los Angeles designing over 3,000 buildings. He attended USC School of Architecture and became the “architect to the stars” designing homes lived in by Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz, Lon Chaney, Barbara Stanwyck, Ava Gábor, and Charles Correll. But he could still couldn’t live in the neighborhoods where his homes were placed. What a terrible burden for one of the most celebrated architects of Los Angeles. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣He also designed many famous buildings such as the Shrine Auditorium (he helped prepare construction drawings as a young architect) the *iconic* LAX THEME BUILDING (as part of the Pereira & Luckman firm & Welton Becket), the Palm Springs Tennis Club, Saks 5th Ave (with Parkinson & Parkinson), Perino’s, Chasen’s, & The La Concha Motel in Vegas (saved by the @theneonmuseumlasvegas) ⁣ He was assigned hotel renovations for the Ambassador Hotel including the coffee shop & redesigning the Cocoanut Grove, and the Beverly Hills Hotel - including the bungalows & that famous GOOGIE signage. He designed the Polo Lounge (and chose the signature colors — pink and green), the down stairs coffee shop which contained a boomerang shaped counter & ceiling that included wallpaper by Don Loper (seen here and still intact today), plus countless other masterpieces. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ His work had an elegance and an air of optimism regardless of how large or small the project was.
