I have quite a good about of JRWI riptide headcannons, so I’ll probably make a few posts bout them but for now here’s some of them
Ava was taller than both Jay and Lizzie, and Lizzie has yet to get used to not looking up at the resident Ferin, so she consistently does doubly takes when looks at Jay
Idk if Ava has a cannon hair color, but I’d like to think she had a dark cherry sort of color, somewhere between both her parents
Edyn ain’t the only Tidestrider with birthmarks n such, Finn also has many of the same purple splotches, and Gillion has light streaks in his hair that most Triton don’t have, they make his hair look like waves with sea foam

celebrity crush | 2/??
a/n: the first interview is mostly based off of dove cameron and ava max’s interviews with popbuzz
summary: actress! reader somehow manages to bring up her crush on calum hood in every interview
pairing(s): calum hood x reader, platonic! reader x tom holland
warning(s): swearing? slight mentions of kinks
“She’s at it again mate,” Ashton smirked as he carried his laptop over to Calum who was sat on the sofa. He flipped open the computer and hit play on y/n y/l/n’s newest interview.
“C’mon, I don’t wanna-” Calum rubbed his hand over is face and shook his head.
Ashton ignored him and turned up the volume to drown out his protest. “Shhh.. watch.”
“Hey guys, I’m y/n y/l/n and this is the Pop Buzz Tower of Truth.” You spoke as the title popped up on screen.
“I think I’m gonna end up tipping it before I can even get one block out,” You said as you tried to carefully pull of a wooden block.
“That will never work,” Calum heard a voice from off camera say and recognized it as Tom Holland. He tried not to frown as you laughed and mocked him.
“Y’know what, we’re leaving that one.” You laughed, leaving the original block alone and easily pulling out another block.
“There we go. Okay, what was the last movie or tv show that make you cry? Dead Poets Society. I love Dead Poets Society so much and Tom had never seen it so we watched it after finishing yesterdays interviews.” You placed the block on top of the tower. “And he cried.”
The camera crew laughed as Tom shouted a, “Hey!”
“Tell us one thing about you that we don’t know. Um, this is hard because I’m always saying stuff that I shouldn’t be. Um, I’m an Oxford comma worshiper.” You said, unsure whether or not that’s interesting enough.
“Oxford comma?” A crew member behind the camera questioned.
“Yeah, y’know, the comma that comes before ‘and’ when making a list. I hate that people don’t use it because then I get all confused. Like if I were to write ‘Lizzie, Tom, and Robert are going to the party’ and I don’t add a comma before ‘and’ then it seems like Tom and Robert would be arriving at the party together. But some people who don’t use the Oxford comma could mean that all three people were showing up separately so I never know. Y’know what I mean?”
The camera crew were all silent after her rant and Calum chuckled a bit to himself. He thought it was cute that you were so passionate about the smallest things. Ashton looked over to him as Calum admired you through the screen. He wasn’t an idiot. He knew Calum secretly liked how much you talked about him.
“No,” Tom responded honestly
“Ugh,” You rolled your eyes dramatically and looked into the camera, “See, these are the type of guys you got to look out for: Un-grammarly men.” You joked.
“Un-grammarly isn’t a thing.” Tom laughed.
“Well if it were a thing, you’d be one.” You fired back at Tom.
“Anyway, who is your favorite artist right now? Um, probably Wallows, I love them and their music.”
“I was really expecting Calum Hood to be honest.” Tom shouted from across the room.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe I just forgot about him like that. I love you Calum Hood. I love 5sos.” You held up your hands into a heart shape and moved your hands from side to side.
You then dropped them and grabbed another block. “Sorry, I keep forgetting that people are actually going to see these interviews. Like, he could literally see this. Dude, I hope he doesn’t.” You paused, “Oh god, do you think he knows about my crush on him?” You had been mentioning him for years and it had never once occurred to you that he could actually see these.
Calum laughed at the irony of the situation. Here he was watching a video of you saying you hoped he’d never see said video.
“This is humiliating.” You mumbled though you didn’t seem to actually care, “Who was your first celebrity crush? Oh uh, definitely Andrew Garfield. I remember when I first watched the Social Network and I was like obsessed. My friend and I both watched it over 10 times within like two months. And then would continuously make Mark Zuckerberg jokes. But of course, Calum Hood now owns my heart.” You put the block on top of the tower. “I’m actually doing really good, I thought I’d knock it down by now.”
“Describe in detail the worst date you’ve ever been on. Okay so I was like fifteen right, and, well I’m not even sure if this counts as a date. I think he considered it a date so I guess it was but basically we were in the car, he was sixteen so he could drive. We were in the drive through, we had already ordered, and he started feeling around in is pockets and I was like oh god, cause I knew what was about to happen. He was like, ‘oh no i think i lost my wallet’, and I was like its fine I’ll pay. I really didn’t mind. I ended up paying, we got our drinks and without missing a beat, we hadn’t even pulled out of the drive through, he was like’oh here’s my wallet.’ I really didn’t mind paying for my coffee, I wouldn’t mind paying for both of our coffees. But him going out of his way to lie, and then not even lie well, was so irritating.” She placed the block on the top and picked up a new one.
“What is the most useless idem you’ve ever purchased? Um, I bought a seven foot giraffe while I saw drunk once.” The block was added to the top, the tower now taller than you. “He’s in my living room if you wanted to know.”
You grabbed the next block carelessly, immediately regretting it when the tower fell behind you, “Oh shit, well I guess we’re done then.” You said nonchalantly, looking at the blocks on the floor. “I don’t think I’ll be playing this again anytime soon. Love you guys,” You held up your hands, “Love you Calum Hood.” You winked before the outro began to play.
“She must really love you, Cal.” Ashton poked Calum’s cheek annoyingly, “She’s got no shame.”
Calum wouldn’t admit it, but as soon as he got home he looked you up again. He clicked on the same video Ashton showed him and scrolled through the comments.
y/nscalumhoodkink: MOMOMOMOMOMOM
datemey/n: Queen of Jenga
ashtonfletchersbitch: Y/N LITERALLY IS ME
5esohes: no because y/n y/l/n and calum hood together is my kink
noemptywalletshere: not only does y/n own this fandom, but my ass too
He couldn’t help but laugh at the comments no matter how interesting they were. But something in the back of his head kept yelling at him. She doesn’t acting like you. Shes just likes your music, nothing more. He sighed and clicked out of the video and was about the close his laptop when his cursor handed on a video.
Y/n Y/l/n foaming at the mouth while talking about Calum Hood for 5 minutes straight.
He clicked on it a little too quickly and waited for it too load.
“Calum Hood choke me challenge.” You stuck out your tongue and threw up a peace sign with an innocent look plastered on here face.
“Bro imagine if Calum Hood saw this?” “Oh he would definitely fall for you after this video”
The third thing to pop up was a tweet from 2015 just saying: #marrymecalumhood
“Calum Hood send me hand pics. This is a demand, not a request.”
Calum continued to watch the entire video. Normally, the thirsty comments would have made him uncomfortable, but them coming from you made his heart race and cheeks flush.
God, what was happening to him?

Newtmas essay when?
Finally getting to this, thanks for waiting, I needed to go over a few bookmarks. (Warning, this post contains spoilers from the MAZE RUNNER book and FEVER CODE book, so if you haven’t read either or yet and want the jist of my analysis; just know that in general the fandom interpreting Newt as gay before it was revealed on a twitter post was not just a random headcanon and that Thomas in general is portrayed to have very strong unconditional love for Newt throughout the series; and it shows. To the point that even the director for the movie has stated that Newt and Thomas have a strong bond and portrays that in the movies. I will also preface that I am NOT adding personal opinion anywhere here, these are just backings from quotes and how they are thus meant to be taken/read as. My words are taken as a reader who is currently reading Scorch Trials has yet to fully read Death Cure or Crank Palace.) Anways, without further ado at 3AM today, I’ll try my best to explain how even though Dashner tries his best to make Thomas have other, female love interests; he creates a not so subtle gay subtext for Tommy boy here when in the context of interacting with Newt throughout the lore. Apologies beforehand for any grammar mistakes along the way.
To commence, I am going to start with FEVER CODE, as its supposed to act as the story’s preface to the actual events that play out later. Newt and Thomas upon meeting each other describe their presence as “familiar” and or as a “long lost friend” and they genuinely hit it off from the start to the point that Newt is okay with having Thomas see him cry over the fact that he and his sister are separated since he is doomed to be WCKD’s control analysis as he’s the only one lacking immunity from the flare itself. Once Newt is done being emotionally vulnerable we get our first instance of his personal nickname for Thomas: “That’s the way things are Tommy,’ he said his voice not quite steady. ‘The world outside’s gone to hell. Why should we expect any different here? [...] He said it as if they’d been friends for years” (ch. 14). An interesting note here is that Thomas doesn’t bother to correct him or stifle the moment by feeling that all this information was too much, he genuinely wanted to hear Newt out and is fine with seeing this side of him; if not slightly taken aback by how natural it is that they can converse about such aspects of their lives. In fact, Newt makes such an impact on Thomas that Thomas ends up that same night dreaming of him: “Throughout his shortened night, he dreamed of Newt and Sonya. Of Newt and Lizzy“(Ch. 14). The thing with Thomas though is that the idea of comfort and connection is very foreign to him as he’s been basically isolated all his life with only the adults like Ava to talk to and the one exception being Teresa as his only kid companion. So Thomas didn’t even think he could make others like him for being himself unless they were vital to the overall production of WCKD. Seeing this portion right before the end of chapter 14: “Alby, Minho, Newt, Teresa. Thomas had friends.” shows that Thomas really had to deep dive to see how he deals with personal connections and why he was excited about the notion of friendship. He could’ve been happy with just Teresa, but only fully cemented her bond to him as “friend” when his circle grew and these kids he got to hang with taught him he can be himself, a concept he didn’t realize was possible when all his life was dictated on what he was supposed to learn or do. It becomes especially clear just how controlled his life is with the aspect of sentiment when later on Teresa’s mental communication evokes physcial pain and fear in Thomas. I’ll get back to that later as its more of a small tid bit of Thomas’ view on his forced love interest, Teresa. And yes, I say forced because multiple sentences with Thomas have him even wish he could cease all communication with her. Moving on, let’s talk about mimicking for a second. As humans, we mimic as a behavioral response to become closer to the person we care about. It’s the reason why yawning or laughter is contagious and or why we copy the posture of the person we converse with face to face. Thomas is seen to do this the most with Newt’s quirks. I’ll give the example in chapter 15: “Newt has been promising them that he was saving something special, and he did that annoying zipped-lipped sign every time [...] the little light in his eyes showed he enjoyed every second of their torture” versus Thomas: “Thomas did Newt’s zipped-lipped gesture, and that got him a sharp poke in the ribs”. So, we know enough that Thomas’ mannerisms are developing as a sign that he wants to be closer to Newt and to continue this sense of playfulness they both enjoy from the other. This is the start of their budding bond and a clear indication that they hold each other at greater fondness than the rest through this unconscious copying. Through this copying, they also pick up on emotional cues the other lets up on. Newt is especially good at noticing small things like when Thomas is anxious or overthinking: “He was just shocked that with all their exploring, the others hadn’t already discovered it on their own. And there were supposed to be TWO mazes. How had Newt and his friends not stumbled upon either one of them? ‘Tommy?’ Thomas realized Newt was staring straight at him, eyebrows raised. ‘Sorry,’ he said embarrassed, ‘wandered off for a second there what did you say?’ Newt shook his head in admonishment. ‘Try to keep up, Tommy Are you ready to see the grat outdoors?” (ch. 15). Also in chapter 23: “Tommy?’ It was Newt, breaking him out of his thoughts. ‘I can see your wheels spinnin’ up there.’ He tapped the side of his head”. This furthers Newts perceptiveness on his friend and Thomas’ ability to pick out when he is being looked after. And they bounce off each other really well in that aspect. To the point that Newt can crack a joke he knows will land right on Thomas’ sense of humor: “Newt waggled his fingers in front of Thomas’ face [...] A laugh exploded out of Thomas’ mouth that sent a spray everywhere. ‘Sorry’ he said, wiping his lips on his sleeve” (ch.15). It’s enjoyable to know that at least at a surface level, they have fun together and can cheer the other up if needed or know when to ground the other to reality. It is also through these instances that as a reader I pick up that Thomas’ nervous ticks perhaps allude to an anxiety disorder he has; of which Newt is aware of and never puts Thomas down on for exhibiting. He in fact understands it and deals with it accordingly as he himself has a similar circumstance. SO, what does all this paying attention lead to? Thomas’ devotion to protect Newt. Yeah, thats right I said devotion. Thomas’ actions are influenced by his developed instinct to protect Newt at all costs. Here is the biggest example that comes to mind: “What in the world happened to Newt? -- Less then two hours later, Thomas had spliced together a series of camera clips [...] Thomas turned off the feed. He couldn’t take it anymore...Newt, Newt, Newt, Thomas thought, feeling as if the very air around him were turning black.”(ch.52). Essentially, Thomas seeing Newt plummet to his near death by falling from the maze wall as a result of Newt’s ongoing depressive state, this is the moment that makes Thomas realize WICKD isn’t as good as they seem and that he is going into the maze to save Newt. Its admirable how much self sacrifice Thomas does for someone he cares so much about, to the point that their name is like a mantra. Thats a sensible area of passion and fighting spirit for someone who is “just a friend”. Oh and, the feeling of fondness is mutual mind you if I haven’t been clear. After experiencing the horrors of cranks for the first time, realizing Newt was not immune, and watching Newt until they entered the pits it has been months since they last interacted; this is their first reunion: “What’s up Tommy?’ Newt exclaimed, his face filled with genuine happiness at the pleasant surprise that’s been sprung on him. Thomas couldn’t remember exactly how long it’d been since he’d seen Newt. ‘You look bloody fantastic for three in the morning” (ch. 23). I need to preface this that Newt DOES NOT mean that sarcastically and that out of all the people in the room (Minho, Chuck and Teresa are there in this scene), Thomas only reacts this way specifically toward seeing Newt is okay and back. The characters are also not afraid of being physically close. “Well, look who the bloody copper dragged in,’ Newt said, pulling Thomas into a big hug” (ch.31), “They shook hands, and then the two of them set off...” (ch. 31), and my favorite: “Thomas jumped at the sound, then stumbled. Newt tripped over him, and then they were both laughing, legs and arms tangled in a pile on the ground”(ch.32). I don’t think this far in the novel, Thomas has been AS (emphasis on as) comfortable with touch with anyone else other than Newt. And thats a big step forward on the aspect of trust in a relationship, being able to be comfortable with the presence of another person enough to be as intimate with them as shown here. And all this, is just fever code itself. Mind you this is not the MEAT of the novels as it came out later. But even without it, lets look at Thomas in Maze now, I’ll try to keep this segment a lot more brief. Here’s Thomas looking respectively at boys his age: “A tall kid with blond hair and a square jaw...a thick, heavy muscled Asian kid folded his arms as he studied Thomas, his tight shirtsleeves rolled up to show off his biceps [...] Newt was taller than Alby too, but looked to be a year or so younger, His hair was blond and cut long, cascading over his T-shirt. Veins stuck out of his muscled arms”(ch. 2). Thomas’ initial reaction to being surrounded by boys is to deeply analyze their rugged good looks and heavily emphasize their best physical traits. When reading this the first time, my mind immediately thought this boy at the very least is supposed to be portrayed as bi, especially when later down the line Teresa gets a similar descriptor: “...despite her paleness, she was really pretty...silky hair, flawless skin, perfect lips, long legs.” So right off the bat, we know that be it boy or girl, Thomas emphasizes how attractive someone looks in his eyes when he truly does have a sense of attraction to them. Case closed. Within the same chapter we get Thomas also immediately clinging onto Newt for a sense of grounding, it is now ingrained in him at this point that the boy is his lifeline, a person to rely on. “Thomas looked over at Newt, hoping for help.” And help he does, Newt in this chapter helps ease his worries, explain a general idea of what the glade is and even pats him on the shoulder a bit to ease tension. And Thomas doesn’t bat an eye in the same way he’s weary of literally everyone else. In fact, he’s eager to stay put with him as shown with; “If Newt went up there, then I wanna talk to him.” And if none of that seals the deal, we got early bird Newt being so touch starved he flattens himself next to Thomas to wake him up at the crack of Dawn in chapter 6: “Someone shook Thomas awake. His eyes snapped open to see a too-close face staring down at him, everything around them still shadowed by the darkness of early morning...’Shh, Greenie. Don’t wanna be waking up Chuckie, now, do we?’ It was Newt --the guy who seemed second in command; the air reeked of his morning breath. Though Thomas was surprised, any alarm melted away immediately”. This whole scene follows firstly by Thomas once again impressed by how strong Newt is and then Newt giving him a rundown of what everyone else was too afraid to show Thomas, the grievers. And you know, this scene could’ve ended well and everything as totally platonic, but then we have “Newt turned to look at him dead in the eye. The first traces of dawn had crept up on them, and Thomas could see EVERY DETAIL OF NEWT’S FACE, HIS SKIN TIGHT, HIS BROW CREASED.” Now, look me in the eye and tell me there is a hetero explanation on looking at your best bro like they are the sun reincarnated themselves. But let’s not hog all the homosexual undertones with Thomas here. Wanna know what Newt’s initial reaction to having a girl in the glade was? “It’s a girl,’ he said [...] Newt shushed them again. ‘That’s not bloody half of it,’ he said, then pointed down into the box. ‘I think she’s dead” (ch.8). It’s actually a stark contrast to the other gladers eagerly wanting to know her age, how pretty she looked, and calling dibs to date her; Newt isn’t interested in any of that, he’s more perplexed on her status and not even bothering to remark on her looks, he was the only one not to and even remarks a few other instances that girls are more Thomas’ domain. For instance, he makes a joke in fever code when Thomas remarks that the girls in the institution were going to tackle him down, Newt proceeds to point out sarcastically something along the lines of “wait, isn’t that YOUR dream though?” So Newt is pretty out spoken of his disinterest in girls, and his full admiration and attention on Thomas. Oh, and yes, Newt immediately switches over to “Tommy” the moment Thomas mentions he hates being called greenie, and once again it just becomes a thing between only the two of them. Newt is also the one to be straight forward about the whole Runners business. He warns Thomas about the dangers and doesn’t necessarily turn him down on his desire to be one, he in fact encouraged him to just wait until the right moment. “No one said you couldn’t, but give it a rest for now”(ch. 15). So once again, Newt is the voice of confidence and reason for Thomas to prosper. In turn, this time around Thomas is the one to catch when something is bothering Newt. For instance, “Newt chewed his fingernails, something he hadn’t seen the older boy do before...he was genuinely concerned -- Newt was one of the few people in the Glade he actually liked ”(ch.16). Interesting how we went from fever code “friend” to “like”. And also, when Newt explains his concern about the runners not coming back yet, Thomas pieces together how scared Newt is of the Maze without being told and goes to stand next to him as a physical presence to ground Newt as they wait near the entrance. In fact, this piece is trivial to understand why Thomas does what he does next. When everyone else had given up on the Runners still outside with 2 minutes left til closing, and Newt was escorted away from the entrance, Thomas waited. And when Thomas saw them, he yells to Newt, realizes he’s too far to do anything, and makes a decision himself. He KNEW how much Newt cared about his fellow Gladers, they were like family or “kin” as its said in the book, so what does he do? “Don’t do it Tommy! Don’t you bloody do it!’ ... Thomas knew he had no choice. He moved. Forward. He squeezed past the connecting rods at the last second and stepped into the maze”(ch.16). Yes, Thomas does this because of his empathy for the Gladers, but the chain reaction of Newt’s concern is what sets his decision in stone. And yet again, Thomas enters the maze for Newt. And that’s pretty much the constant for the rest of Maze Runner the book, Newt just sticking up for Thomas and Thomas in turn just being happy that: “He was at least relieved that Newt was there” (ch.17). And thats basically their entire dynamic. Newt just going: “If you really did help design the maze Tommy, it’s not your fault. You‘re a kid -- you can’t help what they forced you to do” to ease the survivor’s trauma Thomas has, as well as saying “I actually believe you. You just don’t have an ounce of lying in those eyes of yours. And I can’t bloody believe I’m about to say this...but I’m going back in there to convince those shanks we should go through the griever hole, just like you said”(ch.51); and I think thats the most romantic thing to hear from him. Just right out being all for supporting Thomas no matter what happens as long as he stays alive and continues to fight, he doesn’t care about what happened before. And Thomas eats that up because it fuels him even more to seek out a means to escape for the people (Newt) that deserve a life outside of running from monsters forever. So essentially, I’ll state again, it’s always been Newt the catalyst for Thomas to run head first into the Maze and seek freedom. And with all this I can clear that these two are shown to if not be romantically involved, at least have unconditional love for the other that transcends the author’s original intention. And with that in mind, here’s the thing with Teresa as a love interest. I can list here quotes of every time she mind speaks to Thomas and how that affects him, but then this would be too long. And this is a newtmas post gosh darn it. Teresa is gleeful to humiliate, control, hurt, and force Thomas to believe they’re in love. In multiple instances we get her barging into his mind unwarranted making him understand that she has full access to his inner most thoughts. Theres nothing romantic about that, and I think its why Thomas ends up being so perceptive to the smallest of gestures that allow him to think on his own and feel like his own person. Something I’ve seen Brenda do later in scorch, and something I’ve seen Newt do since the very beginning is that they allow Thomas to come to his own conclusions in order to create his own opinions on the matters at hand. Thomas’ love language revolves around words of affirmation. He likes it when people confirm his thoughts are valid and that remind him that WICKD can’t hurt him anymore now that he has the power to be his own person. This is where Newt comes in very handy. He allows Thomas to grow in ways his female love interests have yet to show, sorry Brenda but I’ve heard you were trying to unite all immunes together to the safe haven by the end and in a sense still only using Thomas to get by; I still think she was the better call than teresa of course and I have no remorse for Teresa getting smushed by a boulder. But essentially my point here is that, how do you fail to make your initial love interests clash so badly where one has no real care about the others well being so long as everything goes according to WCKD by using a form of gaslighting and manipulation? AND THOMAS HAS STATED HIS DISCOMFORT ON THIS MULTIPLE TIMES, but the narrative always erases these instances from his mind in place of pity for Teresa’s well being (as you can tell, Teresa through this becomes my least favorite character, I can rant about her some othe time though with proper backing). The narrative in turn treats it all like a joke. I understand there are scenes where Thomas is worried about her and looks out to make sure shes ok, but even then he doesn’t know how to react with mental images of her kissing his cheek or when she screams the next minute that she doesn’t know who he is or how hes speaking into her mind. And thats because they can’t properly communicate their emotions to the other, not even in fever code could Thomas give a forward answer if he loved Teresa or not, she just assumed. Come to think of it, Thomas really doesn’t show much affection to Teresa of his own accord. So then, how DOES Thomas show his affection? Thomas provides acts of service as his love language, if he cares about you enough he will risk his life for you. Why? Because Thomas values putting the people he loves foremost knowing full well they are what help him have purpose and succeed in continuing on. In a way, Newt and Thomas’ dynamic works in this instance because they balance the other out and because they have seen each other at their worst and at their best. In a way, that's why knowing the ending of the books makes it harder to accept that Thomas would just easily take the shot...when all his life clung to Newt’s survival. But that’s a story for another time where I compare the movies (of which let me make that clear, yes I prefer) over the books. For now just know that the book may have done this by accident, maybe not, but at the end of the day theres solid proof that Thomas and Newt care about each other in a way that is separately portrayed from their connection to the other glade members, and have this consistency of soft moments running through the entirety of the series. In conclusion; newtmas. Newtmas. NEWTMAS, etc.
#Newtmas#long post#Skquill#ask#The ending gets a bit ranty with Teresa I must admit#but for the most part its just me recalling the best newtmas moments from the novels I've currently read#Please add on more newtmas proof to the thread

Well, guess who just saw that you’re playing an ask game tonight?! Yes, it’s this bitch. I’m going to ask you 4, 5, and 7.
But I’m not just going to ask them for Lizzie and Orion, because that would be TOO easy… I’m asking them for Ava and Charlie as well!!!!
Love you always 💛
Oho, bestie hitting me with the hard stuff! Let's see what we've got.
4) Who initiates the forehead touch™?
Lizzie x Orion: Definitely Orion. Forehead touches and forehead kisses are one of his favourite ways to show affection and intimacy. The fact that he is a lot taller than Lizzie would make it hard for her to initiate something like that anyway.
Ava x Charlie: Although she is smaller than him, it's actually Ava. Forehead touches is nothing Charlie does that much, he'd rather hug her and rest his chin on her head. Ava is smaller than Charlie as well, so she can really only do that when they're not standing, though.
5) Where do they first say “I love you”?
Lizzie x Orion: When they went travelling together for the first time, Orion managed the almost impossible feat of convincing Lizzie to step foot into the ocean. It took him quite some time, but she eventually gave in with a deep sigh and a muttered "but only because I love you".
Ava x Charlie: Charlie said it first, when they were preparing for their CoMC N.E.W.T.s in the library during their last year at Hogwarts. Believe it or not, he was so tired at that point he confused the wingspan of a Norwegian Ridgeback and a Hungarian Horntail. Ava corrected him and Charlie was in awe, letting a "I think I love you" slip past his lips.
7) Who breaks out the first aid kit when the other gets a paper cut?
Lizzie x Orion: Not necessarily the first aid kit, but Orion is always more worried about Lizzie than she is herself. She is not the greatest in taking care of herself when it means it would slow her down (or prevent her from playing Quidditch), so he always makes sure to check double if she is really as okay as she makes herself out to be.
Ava x Charlie: Ava is a Cursebreaker, Charlie loves dragons like (almost) nothing else. Both wouldn't even notice something mundane as a paper cut. That being said, Ava hates it when Charlie gets careless and gets himself scratched or burnt by his dragons. Charlie also gets freaked out when she gets hit by a curse so she doesn't necessarily tell him everything. For his own good that is.

Collide | Legacies / Riverdale Crossover - Chapter 3
Hope
Sighing, I pulled the key out of the ignition lock of the car and sank against the seat. Alaric had asked me to leave quickly for the family and pick up the food they had ordered at short notice. The man himself, as well as Caroline, had enough to do with unpacking the boxes. Although only Caroline helped properly. Josie made the whole thing somehow only more strenuous than that she really helped and Ava only pretended as if she would unpack. But that still made the two girls a bigger help than Lizzie, who had refused to help from the start.
Her reason had been that she hadn't wanted the move at all and that she preferred that all her things stayed in the boxes, so she didn't help. Alaric had said that he wasn't exactly enthusiastic about it, but he hadn't said anything about it. Probably he hadn't had the desire or the strength to discuss with his daughter on this already tiring day.
Therefore the director of the Salvatore Boarding School had given me the task to drive to the address to pick up her order. Although Ava was already 17 and was allowed to drive accompanied, I was the only one who already had a real driving license.
Sighing, I let the car key disappear in the pocket of my leather jacket and then slowly opened the door. I had parked the car in one of the few parking lots in front of the diner because I didn't feel like going a long way.
The red light of the large illuminated sign pointing with an arrow at the small building cast a slight shadow on my face. Behind me, I closed the door again and then made sure the car was properly sealed.
Then I walked straight towards the entrance of the diner. By chance, I noticed a group of people from the corner of my eye. Somehow at that moment, my curiosity came up and I couldn't help but take a quick look in that direction.
Behind me I noticed several young people standing there leaning against their motorcycles and talking. As far as they could see, each of them was wearing a leather jacket and they were not talking quietly. But none of them seemed to notice me. They were too absorbed in their conversation.
Only one of them had lifted his head and looked in my direction. As far as I could tell through the darkness he had black hair and was a little taller than the other boys.
Before the people around him, however, became attentive to me, he turned his gaze away and I also directed my gaze forward again, since I was now only a few steps away from the entrance door. As I walked on I thought I could feel someone keeping his eyes on me. However, I did not turn around to see who it might be.
Instead, I pushed the door open and entered the restaurant. From the inside, a pleasant warmth came towards me and I sighed slightly. Although it hadn't been cold during the day, the air had become fresh in the evening. The soft ringing of the bell above the entrance announced my entering and I noticed how some of the guests turned their heads after me. But I paid little attention to that.
I preferred to walk purposefully towards the counter, behind which stood a round man who had already aged a little. The uniform he was wearing told me right away that he had to be an employee, which is why I moved towards him.
"Excuse me", I asked for the floor when I arrived at the counter. "Yes?", with a friendly smile, he then turned around to her. On his lips, a broad, friendly smile was to be seen that immediately evoked a pleasant feeling in me. This place was so strange to her, but still, she didn't feel as lost in the new area as she had thought.
"Hallo", he greeted me and took another step towards her, which allowed me to take a look at his name tag. Pop Tate' was written on it. Relaxed, I leaned on the surface with my elbows as I briefly considered how to formulate my words: "Um, I'm here to pick up an order for the Saltzman's. We ordered half an hour ago."
"Ah, yes, that's right," he nodded the man immediately and already turned to leave: "The things are almost ready. A moment of patience, please."
"Sure", I agreed and climbed without hesitation onto one of the barstools with the red cushion to wait.
At his words, Pop Tate disappeared from my field of vision. This gave me the chance to let my gaze wander through the ambiance for the first time. At this time of the day, some people were here. Among them, he recognized surprisingly many teenagers. Was it somehow such a thing in Riverdale to meet his friends here in the evening? At least the three teenagers - maybe at my age - who were sitting a bit far away from me gave this impression quite a bit. Maybe this place was like the Mystic Grill.
I didn't notice that I was still staring at the table with the three teenagers until the black-haired one of them looked over at me. For a moment our eyes met and then a little smile appeared on my lips. I briefly returned the smile, but then looked away again. After all, people here shouldn't think I'm strange from the first day I was in town.
I preferred to look at the small television, which was a bit far away from me. At that moment the news was running there, which I wasn't interested in, but maybe it could be a chance to find out more about the area. Also, I had to pass the time with something.
But after looking at the screen for a few seconds, I heard a female voice next to me: "Hey."
With a surprised look, I turned my head in the direction from which the words had penetrated my ears.
There sat the very girl who had seen my gaze when I had looked at her table.
"Hey," I replied instinctively and looked into her brown eyes: "Do you want to order something?"
"Yes", she nodded with a slight grin: "But I have to admit that I don't mind if I have company."
"I can understand that", I replied with a smile.
"Well, you're new here?!", to my surprise, her words didn't sound like a question, but more like a statement.
"Is that so obvious?" I asked with a surprised look and then looked down at myself: "What betrayed me?"
To my amazement she reacted with an amused laugh, driving herself through the shoulder-length black hair.
"Nothing," she grinned slightly: "I only know that. This facial expression."
My smile disappeared and I looked at her in amazement: "Facial expression?"
"Yes, that was exactly the expression I had a month ago", she explained: "But don't worry. It'll get better quickly."
"Wait!", I put my head slightly crooked and looked at her frowning: "You are new here too?"
Immediately she began to shake her head vehemently: "No, not anymore. For me, the status of the 'new' ones hasn't applied for weeks."
"Well, I'm not exactly hot for it either," I honestly admitted. After all, it had already been bad enough for me to be new to Salvatore School. But at least I could have been there who I was. Here I didn't just have to get used to a new place and a new school, but now I would have to hide my true nature - that of a supernatural being - for better or for worse. After all, Alaric would hardly allow the four of us to reveal that we were not normal at all.
"Here comes your order, Miss Saltzman", at that moment the voice of Pop Tate, already a little outdated, resounded again. He made me look away from the girl and look at the waiter instead.
"Um, thanks," I nodded, thrown off track by the last name for a moment.
Somehow it felt strange that someone started as 'Saltzman' and at the same time was considered to be part of the Saltzman family. Because although Alaric seemed to love playing the father figure for me and they had taken me with them when we had to leave Mystic Falls, I knew I would never really belong. I just didn't get blood connected with the others, as Ava did with the family.
After a few seconds, when I caught myself again, I pulled the money Alaric had given me to pay out of my jacket pocket. As soon as the man took it with a gentle smile, I reached for the bag that contained our food and from which fragrant fumes rose.
"Nice talking to you", I turned to the strange girl: "I have to go now."
I took a look at the bag and said: "Otherwise the food will get cold."
"I see", she replied and looked over her shoulder back to her table: "My friends probably wouldn't mind if I came back to them."
With these words she looked at Pop Tate, who was tampering with the cash register: "It occurs to me that I would like to order some more onion rings."
"Of course", the man said to himself:"I'll finish them off immediately and bring them to your table."
"Thank you, Pop Tate", the dark-haired girl replied with a smile and then nodded to me: "I guess you'll see her again somewhere."
With a nod I agreed with her before I lifted myself from my barstool: "I think so too."
After all, Riverdale didn't make a big impression on me even now.
With a short farewell, I turned back towards the door and started to move. I never wanted to let the food get cold. The ringing sounded again as I stepped out into the cold again and made my way back to the car. I could feel once more how a person's gaze rested on me. But I didn't turn around, I just walked on.

Basics 4, Appearance 2, Facts 2, Bonus 5 for all four of your girls, please! (You asked me a long ask, you’re getting one back!)
BASICS
4) Any secrets?
Lizzie: Especially when she's tired or in a bad mood, there are times when Lizzie really has to keep it together when she's talking to Orion and would just wish he'd get to the goddamn point. Ain't nobody got time for that, darling.
Ava: Before she met Charlie, she might have had a little crush on Bill. Maybe. The smallest. Do not ever tell anyone or she might die of shame.
Selene: Selene seriously considered cutting her hair to a pixie once a) to anger her parents and b) so she wouldn't have to bother with hair-dos anymore. But even she couldn't bring herself to do it, she loves the way it blows in the wind when she's flying too much.
Carolyn: She'd rather die than admit it, but sometimes Ethel's (@the-al-chemist) carefree, devil-may-care attitude impresses her. Don't you dare tell her or you'll rue the day.
APPEARANCE
2) Do they wish they could change a part of their appearance?
Lizzie: Lizzie would make herself taller if she could. More length to reach the Quaffle, y'know.
Ava: Ava has a big scar across her lower abdomen where she got hit by a curse, which she can't bear to look at. Sometimes she just wishes it would disappear but then again, it reminds her every decision made comes at a cost.
Selene: She'd love to have a warmer skin tone, that tans in the sun rather than getting freckles.
Carolyn: What are you talking about? Why would she ever? What a ridiculous idea.
FACTS
2) Any things that are super important to them?
Lizzie: Her birthstone necklace she keeps as a lucky charm even after all these years, the charm bracelet Orion gave to her as a Christmas present during her last year at Hogwarts (still in love with that @kc-needs-coffee) and her first Wanderers jersey bearing her name and number because she actually played for them (and not because Skye had it made for her).
Ava: A feather of Poe she uses as a bookmark. A picture of her and Charlie she never looks at but can't get herself to throw away either. Her ceremonial dagger she doesn't solely carry for work purposes but because it was one of the first things she brought back from a field trip after Hogwarts and was allowed to keep.
Selene: A bunch of letters she and Ethel (@the-al-chemist) wrote to each other during summer break, dreaming up their future in the wildest of colours. She always takes them out when she is home and needs something to distract her from the gloomy atmosphere. A tiny glass phial that once contained a swig of whiskey she was allowed to help brew with her grandfather. A tiny horse figurine made of smoky quartz her uncle Mortimer slipped into her pocket one day just because it reminded him of her.
Carolyn: A pressed twinflower from Gotland, it reminds her of what she considers home. The portrait Bradford (@kc-needs-coffee) painted of her and that still stuns her. The gorgeous dress Marigold (@that-scouse-wizard) designed for her and that is one of her favourites to this day.
BONUS
5) What's your favourite headcanon your have for your OC?
Lizzie: Since Skye is a catastrophe at Transfiguration, Lizzie is the one to regularly dye the blue section of her hair with Colovaria. It's the most girly their friendship will ever get.
Ava: Wherever she goes in the world, as soon as she sees anything picturing a dragon she has to think of Charlie immediately and smile before she catches herself and she hates herself a little bit for it.
Selene: She is top of her year in Defense Against the Dark Arts and you'd better not challenge her to a duel. It might hurt.
Carolyn: Whenever she visits her grandmother in Sweden, she is like a completely different person. Something about Gotland makes her happy and carefree and - she shudders to think about it - even soft.
