Make radio antenna wires for your model aircraft
Learning to build model aircraft requires patience and dedication, but once you do your best in this activity, the results are amazing. These days more and more people - from children to adults - are taking part in this activity.
Before you start building prototype aircraft, it is important that you search and learn more about the original plane. You can find references in your size model group. You will be fined photos, documents, color paint, time period, details, pilot, marks and even modifications needed for a specific version of the aircraft model.
For this activity, the materials you need include glue, paint, diluent, label setting tools, tools, and more. Once you start building your plastic-sized airplane, be sure to read its instructions carefully.
The first thing you will prepare is interior design. This will include seat belts, bench, gauges, instrument panels, oxygen tanks, the engine, discs and other subtle details of the interior of your typical aircraft. From this part it will affect the overall accuracy of your scale model. For experienced designers, use aftermarket parts for these detailed areas. It also inflates the original photos for reference.
Although it will be difficult for beginners, once you master the techniques, you will find building interesting, fun and easy model aircraft. Even your scale models will look original. As a rule, do not consider your plastic scale model a toy. These aircraft models are very sensitive to handle. Radio antenna wires
Radio antenna wires are essential parts for your model plane but are actually not included in the Miniature Model Kits. This means that you can only build a radio antenna from scratch.
"Sprue" is the auxiliary material used to connect typical aircraft parts together. Before you start making a Marine decals antenna, cut a straight piece about 4 to 5 inches wide.
Light a candle, then hold its climax 1.5 inches from the flame. Next, hold the plastic on each end between your fingers so that you can rotate your arm back and forth. As soon as the gloss becomes glossy, you will feel it reduces the visibility of the ad.

Fuselage Fit Out 1
Building the fuselage framework is fiddly at times, but straightforward.
The fuselage fit out is a different story.
1. Engine Ancillaries
The rotating part of the engine is in front of the firewall. Behind the firewall are the ancillary components that supply the air, fuel and spark to the engine. These are mostly cast metal, and a few are brass. I photocopied the parts legend and stuck it to a cork tile and ran double sided tape over the outlines of the parts. then I tipped the parts out of their bags, identified them and stuck them down. In this photo the engine parts have been painted, while the cockpit parts are still in white metal.

I painted the centre part of the engine mount to match the engine (which is what it is representing here) and attached to it:
The air and oil pumps (top)

In the actual engine these are driven from the gear wheels on the back of the crank case. I drilled shallow holes in them to take various tubes and wires.
The colour scheme is based on photographs of actual engines, with the gold parts representing brass.
The engine mount/firewall is glued to the double-thickness ply former at the front of the fuselage. This was easily done after some sanding and filing. The back of the engine is supported by the engine bearer, which is fixed to sockets in the diagonal plywood engine braces in the fuselage sides.

I couldn't resist a dry fit of the lower wing.
The carburettor assembly comprises the carburettor proper, two air intake tubes, the fuel/air delivery (engine mounting) tube and the end cap. The tubes are brass and the carburettor and end cap are white metal. The air intake tubes must be bevelled on their outer ends - easy with a Dremel. The engine mounting tube is specified at 1 1/2″, which makes it stick out in front of the firewall, preventing proper engine alignment. I placed the end cap on the tube, slid the tube through the carburettor and firewall, marked where it would be flush with the front of the firewall, and cut off the surplus.

It was then a (relatively) simple matter of sliding everything into place and gluing the various parts together.
The kit contains (most of) the parts for a fuselage assembly jig.
The jig lets the builder rotate the fuselage, making it easier to add internal parts. The builder has to supply the baseboard.
This should work...
The jig is a brilliant idea spoiled in the execution. The front of the fuselage is supported by the crankshaft and can turn freely. At the rear the tail fits into a metal socket and, while it can turn, can be locked in any position by tightening a wing nut. The wing nut is the problem. The instructions caution against over-tightening as this may strip the thread on the bolt, which is actually cast metal(!) and not a steel bolt. In my kit there was no chance of that, as the bolt casting was too thin to even touch the thread in the wing nut. Perhaps a wrong size nut was supplied?
To remedy this I cut the cast bolt from the socket and glued on a steel bolt. I also had to grind out one end of the cast socket as the stern post (extended earlier to level out the tail plane) was now too long to fit in it.
Now it worked. It is a very good idea - and perfect with a proper bolt.
2. Pilot Controls
The primary controls are the rudder bar and control column, which are each made from a number of components and are hinged.
These attach to the fuselage with brackets that mount on wooden cross members at fuselage floor level. These cross members are easy to miss if you rely on the full size plan used to build the fuselage frame. I certainly missed them and for a while I couldn’t work out how the rudder bar and control column fitted in. It’s all clear in Fig.17 in the instructions, but I missed it completely. Once I fitted the missing pieces it all came together with only a little difficulty.
3. Fuel and Oil Systems
There are two fuel tanks and one oil tank. Each is made from two castings. They were simple to assemble and fairly easy to clean up. I painted them with a mix of metallic grey and semi gloss black The filler caps are brass. The oil and auxiliary fuel tanks simply drop into place. The main fuel tank is an odd shape and sits in the fuselage at an angle and is secured with metal straps. The kit suggests the copper tape used in the wings for the straps. This didn’t look right, so I used some self-adhesive silver tape instead.
The oil tank connects to the oil pump with a short pipe. The fuel tanks connect to a fuel tank selector valve with copper pipe (wire). The selector connects to the throttle/mixture controls and a pipe runs from there to the carburettor.
This is all very fiddly work.

The pilot had to know what was going on - and so we come to the instrument panel.
I stained the plywood walnut and varnished it. The instruments are metal castings. I painted them semi gloss black and buffed the edges back to bare metal. The dial faces are simple paper cut outs. The photo is of the second attempt. I decided to make instrument ”glass” out of thick CA. I used far too much and as it cured it destroyed the dial faces. I undid everything with acetone and started again.
The instrument at the far left of the bottom row is a pulsometer that indicated engine oil flow in a glass tube. In the kit this is a metal casting, and there’s the suggestion to paint the top silver “to represent glass”. I couldn’t imagine that working. I took some of the transparent “sprue” from the windscreen of a F1 car kit, heated it gently, stretched it to make it thinner and cut it to length. This would be the glass. Then I cut the imitation glass off the top of the pulsometer and painted the bottom in brass colour. Finally, I glued the clear plastic to the metal base.
The instructions now call for installation of the ammunition boxes and rear gun supports, followed by slipping the instrument panel into the narrow gap between them. Since the backs of the instruments have to be connected to various cables and pipes, I decided to fit the instrument panel first, cable it, and then fit the ammo box and guns.

Then, the guns
The fuel gauge and a piping T-connector were missing from the kit, so while I waited for replacements I decided make a pilot’s seat. How hard could it be?
The missing parts arrived - usual fabulous service service from Model Expo - so I put the seat on hold and finished the “plumbing”.
Left side.
The fuel gauge is the tubular device attached to the second vertical wooden spar from the left. It comes as a white metal casting. In the actual aircraft it is a glass tube between two brass fittings. I simulated this by grinding away almost all the central part. I drilled out the ends to take the copper pipes and painted them to look like brass. Then I glued clear plastic tubing over the ground down centre section to simulate a glass tube. I think that it’s quite convincing. Remember - it’s MUCH smaller than it appears on screen. The fuel gauge was a simple “liquid finds its own level” system and is connected to the top and bottom of the fuel tank by copper pipes.
Right Side
The missing T-piece is directly under the rear end of the guns. It is in the line that pressurises the fuel tank. This was done by either a “windmill” pump on a wing strut or the brass hand pump with the red top. The top of the T-piece will be plumbed into the windmill pump later.
4. Pilot Seat
The pilot’s seat was made of wicker work like a veranda chair!
In the kit it is represented by two white metal castings that have to be joined and painted to look like wicker work.
It looked pretty horrible to me, so I decided to make a real wicker work chair.
I used the seat base as a pattern to cut a plywood seat. I framed it in 1/16″ aluminium tubing and drilled holes for the “wicker canes”.
Then I had to make the upper frame. I cut another piece of tubing, drilled it and bent it. Bad idea! It cracked and broke.
In my second attempt I bent the tubing and THEN drilled it and fitted it to the seat base.

Some time later...
For the horizontal canes I raided my wife’s embroidery thread collection and made up 2-ply threads with in appropriate colour.
Then I painted the metal and started weaving.
Later still...
Then I added a buttoned real leather cushion (padded with tissue). Here it is compared to the kit item. No contest!
Finally, the seat belts, which I made from masking tape and aluminium and copper.
The instructions call for the seat to be installed now. There is a lot of control cabling between the cockpit and the tail, all of which goes under the seat, so I decided to leave out the seat for now to give me as much room as possible when installing the cables.
I installed the tail skid into the socket at the stern post. The skid is steerable in parallel with the rudder, so it has to pivot. However, It was a loose and sloppy fit, so I sleeved it with aluminium tubing to take up the slack. The skid suspension was by elastic bungee cord - simulated here with string.
The instructions now call for cross-bracing each fuselage bay with cables and turnbuckles. As with the seat, I decided to leave this till the control cables have been installed in the interest of access.
5. Tail Control Cables & Fuselage Bracing
Fitting the tail surfaces was a simple task. I lined up the tail plane/horizontal stabiliser on the fuselage drilled two holes to take tiny reinforcing nails and glued it on with thick CA, making sure that it was at 90 degrees to the fuselage. The fin and rudder simply glue into sockets on top.
Control cables run from the rudder bar to the rudder and tail skid, and from the control column to the elevators. The connections are shown in diagrams in the instruction manual.
Unfortunately, the connections are incorrectly labelled!
The control column when pushed forward (dive) should pull on the bottom control horns - a & c. This is reversed in the drawing. Similarly, the rudder connections are also reversed. Just as well I checked...
To make life easier, I built a simple jig to hold the fuselage steady - and vertical - while I ran the control cables and the fuselage bracing.
I connected the rudder first as it looked easier. I clamped the rudder and rudder bar in “neutral’ and then it was relatively easy to feed the cables (thread) from the rudder bar to the rudder and tail skid. I used (very) short lengths of 1/16″ aluminium tube to simulate cable fittings. I was pleased that I’d left the fuselage bracing off as it certainly improved access when feeding in the cables
This shows the model in the jig with the rudder and tail skid cables installed. The jig keeps the gun muzzles off the bench.
Rigging the elevators was more difficult, as can be seen from the cabling diagram. I made a tiny hook from fine gauge wire and used that to work the cables through the fuselage and onto the various fittings. It was very painstaking work. The cables have to be tight, exit the fuselage in the right place, loop over “pulleys” on the rudder bar and attach snugly to the control column. I got there eventually with the help of my little hook.
It got very busy in the cockpit floor...
Then I glued in the seat.
And rigged the tail plane and each fuselage bay with bracing wires and turnbuckles.

The Development Speed of Future Plastic Mould Factory

Effective method of tool setting in CNC machining
Before the implementation of the CNC Machining program, the cutter should be aligned to confirm the position of the starting point, and the cutter is usually a headache for the operator. After the tool grinding, the cutter should be aligned from scratch again. The wear of the tool tip is unique. When many cutters are processed, the cutter compensation value should also be measured.
1. Click on the right blade
According to the key of the control panel, the CNC processing equipment touches the tool tip lightly on the surface of the workpiece (X and Z targets are pointed twice), clears the counter, and then returns to the initial position (X and Z design initial values) to be set, and clears again to get the initial position of the tool. The initial position of each knife is determined sequentially and adjusted to the correct design position (starting point) after trial processing. This method can be operated without any auxiliary tools, but it takes a long time. The unique feature is that the tool must be adjusted from scratch every time it is grinded.
2. Choosing tool-setting instrument
Nowadays, many lathes are equipped with knife alignment instruments. The errors in measuring the removable value of knife alignment by using knife alignment instruments have greatly increased the accuracy of knife alignment. Because using knife alignment instruments, it is advisable to automatically calculate the difference between the length and width of each knife and store it in the system. When processing other parts, only standard knives are needed, such as standard knives. This saves time greatly. The need for attention is that there is usually no standard tool for tool alignment with tool alignment instrument, and the standard tool should be aligned at the time of tool alignment. The disadvantage of this method is that it is expensive and difficult to load and unload knife alignment instrument because of the need to add auxiliary equipment to knife alignment instrument.
3. Choosing CNC Tools
After the initial positioning of the tool for CNC machining, after a period of time, wear occurs and the demand for grinding occurs. The position of the tool tip installed from scratch after ordinary tool grinding has changed. The demand for the tool tip is changed from scratch. The characteristic of the CNC tool is that the repeated positioning accuracy of the tool is controlled at 0.02 mm after the tool is manufactured with high precision and the blade is rotated, which greatly reduces the positioning accuracy. 2018 Jeep Wrangler First Look: Dissecting the Anatomy of a 21st Century Jeep
After a development process with more leaks than the Titanic, the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler is finally here, and we can finally spill the beans on the original SUV. Get a drink, get comfortable, and strap in, because there are a lot of beans to spill.
Let’s start with the bones. It’s still a boxed ladder frame, and it still rides on solid axles at both ends, but that frame has been augmented with judicious applications of high-strength steels. The updates are said to have taken 100 pounds out of the frame alone. Even still, two-door Wranglers get a 1.4-inch wheelbase stretch, and the four-doors pick up 2.4 inches between the wheels, all of which goes to rear-seat room.

Sitting on top of the new frame is a conservatively but artfully updated body with a number of historical callbacks. We can finally put to rest rumors of an all-aluminum body because that’s not the case. Jeep studied it and decided that using aluminum for the hood, doors, and windshield frame and magnesium for the tailgate was the right approach while making the main body shell out of high-strength steel. The fenders, such as they are, are plastic, so you won’t feel bad about bashing them on rocks. In total, the new Wrangler is as much as 200 pounds lighter than the old model.
Up top, the “sports bars,” as Jeep calls them (you and I would call them roll bars), are completely redesigned. Rather than a collection of tubes, they’re now one piece of hydroformed ultra-high-strength steel and painted the body color for the first time. Don’t worry, though. They’re still bolted to the frame rather than welded if you want to take them off and install a custom cage.
Moving to the muscles, the standard engine is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 you know but also with internal updates meant to improve fuel economy, which is up 1–2 mpg city, 2–3 mpg highway, and 2 mpg combined on the four-door Unlimited model, depending on transmission. The automatic option is Fiat Chrysler’s eight-speed, and the manual is a new Aisin six-speed with reverse relocated next to first for quick shifts when rocking the vehicle. Peak power and torque are unchanged at 285 hp and 260 lb-ft, but Jeep says low-end torque has improved.
Your first available option, coming shortly after the V-6 launches, is an all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. It makes 270 hp and 295 lb-ft and, we expect, significantly better fuel economy, thanks in part to a belt alternator starter system. Jeep won’t say it, but it’s a variant of the new Alfa Romeo engine using dual overhead cams rather than the MultiAir valve system. Unfortunately, you can only get it with the automatic.
Your other option, currently scheduled for the 2019 model year once the last legal hurdles are cleared, is the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6. That engine makes an improved 240 hp and, more importantly, 442 lb-ft. It also makes Jeep guys and girls weak in the knees, but there’s no standard rating system for that. They’ll be less pleased to hear it’ll only be available with the automatic and only in four-door Unlimiteds. All three engines get automatic stop/start.
Making Jeepers swoon was mission one back in Michigan and Ohio. Soliciting input early on from hardcore fans and off-road journalists, Jeep’s made a wish list of changes to the Wrangler. Everything from taking the Jeep badge off the grille and putting it back behind the front wheels where it belongs to vastly simplifying the folding windshield—now just the windshield wipers, four bolts, and a latch behind the sunvisors all easily removed with the supplied toolkit (which also comes with a tie-down strap). Also in the kit: the Torx T-50 bit you need to pull the doors off (“T-50” is also stamped on the door hinges in case you need to buy another). The tools will also help you completely remove the hard top or folding soft top, but the power rollback top doesn’t come off. Regardless of roof choice, there are now drip rails where you can mount a cargo rack (which Mopar will sell you for $295), and they can support 100 pounds.
The tops are their own story. Folding the soft top used to take nearly as long as folding the windshield and required a monk’s patience and Elon Musk’s engineering chops. No more. Pop two latches behind the sunvisors, and the top folds back. Pop out the rails holding the side and rear windows on, slide them out (no more zippers), and grab the central release lever, and the whole top folds right back. Putting it up is just as easy. It’s barely more difficult than a Miata roof.
If you prefer a hard roof, you’ll be happy to know it’s now made of a lighter composite material. The removable “Freedom Panels” up front are also lighter and held on by four simple latches each rather than knobs you have to turn a billion times.
Should you be caught out in the rain with the roof open, testing the 30-inch fording depth with the doors off, or just hosing out your interior as Jeepers do, the interior remains waterproof—even the fancy new 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment screen (5.0 inches is standard, and a 7.0-inch screen is available). The interior went through multiple 24-hour rain tests with the roof and windshield down to be sure.
The infotainment screens were pushed as far back as possible to help create a flat dash look like classic Jeeps. The fully redesigned interior features a host of modern conveniences with a rugged, retro-informed look. Jeep designers tell us they had to fight for the money to jazz up the interior with bits such as the metal and rubber shift knob with real exposed bolts and the burly knobs for the volume, tuning, and the fan, and it’s money well spent. The instrument cluster now gets a full-color video screen, and on the opposite side, the factory “oh-lordy” handle remains. All models get push-button engine start/stop and a handy holder for the key fob between the cupholders. Handles on the A-pillars are designed to blend in with the pillars from the driver’s vantage point so they don’t distract. A “media center” with a USB 2.0 and Micro USB port is standard on the dash, with two more of each on the back of the center console for the rear seat. A 110-volt three-prong outlet is optional in the rear seat. Also optional: a bank of four auxiliary switches at the base of the center stack for accessories such as lights and air compressors (part of the towing package, which also gets you a 240-amp alternator and a Class II hitch able to tow 3,500 pounds regardless of the model).
Other handy interior features include optional heated front seats and a heated steering wheel and a standard armrest for rear-seat passengers in four-door models. The front seat backs on Rubicons get a military style MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) nylon grid to hang gear from, and the rear-seat headrests fold down for better rear visibility. Also improving outward visibility are larger windows all around, a wider rear window, a relocated rear wiper motor on hard tops, and a lower spare tire mount (which required a redesign of the rear bumper and relocation of the rear license plate mount). Also in the way back, the optional subwoofer remains in the floor of two-door Wranglers but has been relocated in four-door models to make more space. Four-door models also get covers for the rear-seat hinges when the seats are folded, so there’s no gap for gear to fall into. An engraved plaque on the inside of the tailgate reminds you of key facts such as the fording depth, and the nearby cupholder remains.
Three color schemes further spice up the new interior. At launch, you can get black with red accents and tan with gray accents. A black interior with gray accents will follow shortly. Making a return for 2018 is the option of a tan soft top in addition to the standard black.
If you prefer your driving al fresco, you’ll be happy to hear the front doors are now 18 pounds lighter and the rear doors, if equipped, are 15 pounds lighter. Jeep has also molded a handle into the bottom of the armrests to grab when lifting the doors off. If you prefer, Mopar will sell you half doors with cutouts for minimal protection but easy obstacle visibility on the trail. Removing the doors takes an extra step now, thanks to a first-ever check strap, which pulls the doors closed for the first time on a Wrangler. (You can unbolt it if you want that old-school feeling of the doors swinging wherever they please when open.) Free of the check strap, the doors will no longer impact the body when flung open.
You’ll have slightly more trouble getting the interior dirty on this new one, thanks to the 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires now standard on the Rubicon. An inch taller than the old Mud Terrains, they help up the ground clearance to 10.9 inches and provide better traction on every surface except for deep, deep mud. What’s more, the new Wrangler’s been designed to accept 35-inch tires as is, and with a 2-inch lift (which Mopar is happy to sell you for $1,495), you’ll regain full articulation. You’ll even be able to mount your larger tires on the spare tire rack—the center brake light is height-adjustable to clear larger tires.
That’s just the start. From the factory, the Wrangler’s breakover angle has improved by 2 degrees and the departure angle by nearly 5 degrees. Sport and Sahara models get a Dana 30 front axle and Dana 35 rear with a 3.75:1 rear axle ratio and optional limited-slip differential.
The Rubicon, meanwhile, gets Dana 44s front and rear with electronically locking differentials and electronically disconnecting anti-roll bars. Its crawl ratio has also jumped up to 84:1 on the manual transmission (from 73:1) and 77:1 on the automatic (from 55:1). Part of that is thanks to a shorter 4.10:1 rear axle ratio. If all of that isn’t enough to get you out, the Rubicon is still offered with a winch-ready steel bumper. The lockers and anti-roll bars are carried over from the last generation and are still mode-dependent. That is, the front locker will only engage in 4Lo, and although it won’t automatically disengage, you’re still limited to 30 mph by the gearing. The axles themselves feature thicker tubes with a larger diameter along with stronger C-joints. The ring and pinion gears have also been updated, and older parts won’t fit.
Getting into crawl modes is the same as ever, with a manually shifted transfer case standard on all models. Saharas, however, get a new transfer case with a 4Auto mode in addition the usual 2Hi, 4Hi, Neutral, and 4Lo. Described as “set it and forget it,” 4Auto is meant for customers who daily driver their Wranglers in the wet and snow. An electronically controlled clutch pack can divert up to 50 percent of the engine’s power to the front wheels if the rears begin to slip. Otherwise, it defaults to rear-wheel drive for fuel economy. Jeep says the CV joints on the 4Auto driveline are 95 percent as strong as those on models with the manual transfer case.
Outboard, Jeep has made a few welcome adjustments to the suspension. It’s still a five-link design on both ends, but all the mounting points have been hardened. The trailing arm mounts on the frame have also been redesigned in an angular configuration rather than round, so you won’t get hung up on them when dragging the frame over a boulder. At the rear, the shocks have been pushed outboard and the roll center raised to improve on-road ride quality and reduce head toss. Both Sahara and Rubicon models get monotube shocks all around (Sports get twin-tubes), and spring rates are up at all corners.
