New Year; New Me

sometimes I wish things could be different. maybe if they had been life could have been easier for us and I could offer you more. But if they had been I wouldn't have us exactly how we are-- the way I love us. Maybe it will be less hard when I come to terms with the death of who I am expected to be. Who I wish I could be.

Its a new year now. A volatile year. I year where I may lose everything in hopes of having it all. The Icarus effect. Lose all I have known and be happy- or miserable. Or stay in what I know and love and be guaranteed misery. Who knows what is right to do, but I will never forgive myself for not choosing her; for choosing her is choosing myself. In her I chose to keep myself alive. With each kiss, each touch she brings alive another piece of me I thought I had lost years ago.

This year will be better. It has to be. The years only get better. But this year will fully belong to me-- the one's I love. I will not be hurt anymore. My time will not belong to the spiders. I will try to chose myself in it all.

So, New Year's resolutions. Today I have engaged in everything I wish not to claim for myself any longer. I have hurt myself-- cut myself. Made big decisions to back myself into corners. I have allowed myself to rot in bed like I have spent most of my days. But I will try my best, predictably, in the new year.

My Resolutions:

>Be better at emotional regulation: by journaling

>Be better with money

>GET MY LICENSE

>Graduate with 1st

>Get into Masters course

>Be healthier

>Get my big girl flat

>Apply for a PhD; TEACH

it's a big year for me <//3 hopefully not too big for me to handle.

the to do list for tomorrow is honestly just to finish editing my piece of work I was meant to have done and maybe not be so sad.

Maybe I wont cry today.
