The motorbike was there at the behest of the team while they went about whatever business had to be attended to - and a temporary socialization would pass the time while the ninjabot was not needed. 

‘Likewise,’ comes his reply. ‘Prowl; of the Earth-Cybertron relations team.’ Obscure enough, but a recognizable unit that would cross data feeds from time to time from their exploits.

lately I've read Precision Work by autobotscoutriella and I completely loved it! I've been liking Chromlita more and more and this fic just cemented those feelings. I love how the author made such strong characterizations for both Elita and Chromia within the dialogue and the actions. one of my fave things abt Chromlita is just how well they'd know each other and how deep their relationship goes. the banter was a delight and it was so so well written, I highly recommend it 💖

For Bait:

i invented this murder helicopter to make myself insane and it worked, it worked so well i am literally always thinking about her. i love her so much. she's everything to me, she's like every character archetype i like at once and i am at all times one second away from just going "omg bait hello would you like to hear about BAIT hello listen to me talk about bait i love her by the way, have you heard, bait"

and for Vortex, my horrible man vortex who i love so much,

i think the biggest difference here is that vortex's life objectively sucks and the minute you make his life NOT objectively suck i lose most interest, because loyalty coding on spiteful bastards is like my catnip and [character who enjoys general sadistic nonsense] is a dime a dozen in the Transformers canon. The narrative that does it for me specifically is the G1 Sunbow cartoon one, where Soundwave busts the combaticons as a whole (incl. vortex) out of Brain Jail, builds them shitty bodies out of scavenged garbage and has them help him attempt a coup on Megatron under threat of starvation; then that doesn't work and they try to kill everyone else and they get loyalty-coded. Thus ends their short-lived rebellious phase.

I eat this so much, it's fascinating to me. i just cannot get over it. it sucks!! it's hellish!!!! it is objectively just fucking godawful for all of them, including vortex, because none of them want to be part of this stupid fucking faction any more!!! let them the fuck out!!! but at all turns, they can't even think too hard about cutting loose, because the code will stop them or force them to fess up. And every potential bid for freedom foiled is a threat to all of them in the future, too...

plus also just like vortex is a very relatable guy. he sucks and he's more manipulative than he looks but he's also impulsive enough to cause his own schemes to fall through half the time. i like it. me too

Whether it was before or after her recruitment into MECH, Gloria has always found comfort and contentment when she has her hands in the inner workings of machines. Even if they look complicated and messy, she can see the logic and beauty in its construction and function. She can see how energy flows through the whole system and knows she can redirect or transform that power with her hands, a set of tools, and her imagination. 

She feels safe and in control when she’s in that zone.
