my favorite set of tags on something from this blog also happen to be the best tags ive ever gotten in my life. they were from @baladric of course, in response to this very sad cala and telimezh, and are as follows:

maia sweetie babygirl you know i'd do anything for you and i loved everything ive ever worked on with you in it, but....man, cala just takes the cake. my muse. my silly little rabbit. my sweet cheese. he is like a terrarium to me. whimsical and the sum of many different parts, from which to look at from many different angles. i can throw him anywhere. i put him in Situations. i give him accessories. he comes to me in my stupidest moments. i love him

29. What are you excited for next year when it comes to your art?

I'm excited to try new things! namely using color more, but also maybe learning how to draw one (1) animal? maybe more? or children? no no...getting ahead of myself there..don't wanna get too wild

yes you MAY

the ethuveraz does not have a word for autism. beshelar knows that there is something wrongbadbroken different about him, but he does not know what it is. (there are of course, many people who have their own little words for it. the athmazare, being a wizard school for wizards where people go to sit in a room and learn all about being wizards, is full of autism creatures, and they have their own terms for it. but those aren't terms beshelar knows, at least not yet.)

he didn't speak much until he was six. he still isn't super talkative for the most part, unless you get him talking about a special interest. he never totally loses the ability to talk, but he does sometimes find it very difficult if he's upset or particularly stressed.

special interests include: goats (grew up in a farming village). boats (saw one in a book one time, proceeded to demand as many books as possible about boats). he very rarely talks about these, but if you do manage to get him to feel comfortable enough to prepare for a 3 hour long power point presentation

to feel a texture... is to suffer. loud noises and bright sounds he does not like but he can cope with. but a TEXTURE? evil. this is a bitch that cuts all the tags off his shirts and has to wear a layer under his uniform bc it's too scratchy

he doesn't visibly stim. it is fairly obvious, in a world full of all the various isms in tge, why he doesn't visibly stim. when he was younger, he used to rock back and forth on his heels a lot, and does still occasionally get the urge to. mostly he clenches his jaw (rip in pieces now u have chronic pain) and curls his toes, and occasionally if he's nervous he does this lil blink/squeezing his eyes thing that's kind of halfway between a stim and a tic

he loves to ORGANISE. to put ITEMS into CATEGORIES. he is the image of the kid stacking blocks on the wikipedia autism page.

this is partly the ocpd but he genuinely cannot function without a routine. he has to know what he's doing every minute of every day and if things get disrupted he WILL have a meltdown. the meltdown is scheduled for 3am.

i have so many more things i could say but i will finish with a fun one. going back to texture: he enjoys a SOFT. a soft fur, or a wool. but the right kind of wool, bc of course he has very strong opinions about wool. he also enjoys a SMOOTH such as a perfectly tumbled stone or a piece of glass.
