Fic :Opposites
By Selena
https://archiveofourown.org/works/281667
Summary
On bargaining with your husband's former partner, losing and gaining, war and peace, and the difference between art and a child. Eleven glimpses at and by Yoko Ono.
Why I like this fic
This is hauntingly beautiful and immensely heart-breaking . This here definitely explores Lennon's scorned ex behaviours post-breakups in a beautiful way and gives it so from an interesting pov too. That makes it even more of a good read. This fic makes me wholeheartedly believe, much like Paul himself, maybe in another life if he was born a woman or if they were born in different times , they wouldn't have broken up ( not the Beatles just J&P cause the band will break up in every realm out there )

Sole Occidente
Sole Occidente, by Selena (AO3; one-shot - 3,400 words)
Fandom: Star Wars (Prequel Trilogy)
Relationships: Gen, established Padme/Anakin
Summary: Padme tries to negotiate with Palpatine.
Notes: the brief summary doesn’t do it justice - you don’t get much in the way of this combination of characters, much less one so nuanced. it really gets to the grasp of padme as a politician, the understanding she has about palpatine - what she sees - a fellow politician, a fellow naboo, overly ambitious but persuadable.

Summary
Sometimes, you just need the right kind of nourishment.
Why I like this fic
Liverpudlians using food to show the intimacy and care for each other .What's not to like . I especially love the John and Paul bit here . Generally this work is such a good snapshot of the fab 4's relationship at various stages in life.

Fic: We Happy Few

Summary: Five reasons Brian loved the Beatles.
Why I like this fic:
It's a great character study of Brian, but also a lovely exploration of his relationship with each Beatle. I love the symmetry of it—and I love the beginning. :-)
