The Mystery Chairs

Sometimes you come across a piece of furniture that you just love for no reason. It’s completely banged up, needs reupholstering, a disaster that you really should not spend your money on! But man, it’s so cool! You know it’s something. It has to be. Nothing that cool is a random hunk of junk, right? You all know what I’m talking about. So.. I found these two low line chairs at auction months ago. I had to have them. I didn’t care how much I paid, I had to have them. I did some research but had no idea who made them but I didn’t care anyways. So they’ve been hiding in my garage in the queue for restoration for about six months now and I finally came across their maker.. I was trawling Ebay looking at retro magazine advertisements for sale when I spotted a familiar form. My chairs. Advertised in Australian Home Beautiful 1954. Made by FLER. Well, how about that?
