The Aurora Borealis over Estes Park in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

And seen from Many Parks Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park earlier that night. This isn't what the naked eye saw, of course, but it was still stunning!

And looking south from the same point over Longs Peak. The pink glow was visible even in the southern sky.

I've never seen the Northern Lights before, and never thought I'd see it locally! It was a lot dimmer and less colourful to the naked eye but I could still see the shimmering curtain with hints of pink and green that slowly passed overhead.

These were taken on the evening of the 10th May 2024 from Central Scotland.

A quick view outside in my yard, and I got to see the Aurora Borealis! I live in Kentucky, so it's rare to see the northern lights this far south, but this is amazing!!
