though ursula claims that her starter pokémon was her gible to make her seem more impressive (since it’s a lot harder to start out by training a dragon of all things) her starter was actually a fennekin. she was not thrilled at all to receive it. she wanted a starter pokémon that would make her special, not like everybody else, and she kept bitching even though the fennekin was a hybrid bought from an expensive breeder with tons of egg moves–it was still a fennekin. what’s worse, the creature turned out to have a breeding-related disability, which constantly frustrated her and had her practically screaming for a refund. 

her parents took her to the breeder, demanding that they get their money back. by that time, however, the fennekin had already tried to win ursula over by forming a psychic bond with her–the biggest mistake of its young life. when a psychic pokémon forms a psychic bond with someone else, it’s usually out of love, but some pokémon, like fennekin, attempt to form psychic bonds in a manner that ends up unhealthy for them–by seeking the love of someone who they fear will never love them back. what’s more, if someone should try to sever the bond, it causes serious psychological damage to the pokémon; tragically, the less empathetic the bond recipient is, the less pain they suffer from the severing. 

the breeder recognized the burgeoning bond, and thus refused to take the pokémon back for fear of damaging it. but ursula didn’t care. she tried to abandon it again and again, but no matter what it always found its way back to her thanks to its psychic abilities. so one day, while no one was looking, she straight up tossed fennekin’s poké ball in the trash and claimed that it had gotten loose in the forest that was on her family property. this is also the story that she tells to the media. meanwhile her starter who had bonded with her lies buried in a landfill, permanently in its poké ball-induced coma, forever waiting for its master to take it home.

she thinks she’s barely affected by this, but she’s more affected than she would care to admit–she does have some “recoil” trauma from the consequences of her own action. this usually manifests itself in random, debilitating spikes of guilt for what she did to the fennekin, as well as an OCD-like urge to find it again. she knows it comes from the broken bond because she never feels guilt like that for anyone else, but she’ll never tell anyone because she knows the heinousness of what she did, and it’s something she’d like to keep covered up.

Let’s Go on an Adventure → (Clemont/Aurea)

The boat to Kanto had arrived very late that evening, and the modest port of Pallet Town didn’t boast any real hotels or motels. The hamlet was so far out of the way that even the docks seemed seldom used, save for the fishermen who made their living off the sea day in and day out.

Clemont’s accomodations came in the form of a nice woman who rented out her rooms in the form of a bed-and-breakfast style establishment. Clemont had noted that he wasn’t the only one who had sought shelter there, but he was already well on his way to bed before he even had the chance to say hello. Suffice to say, the boat ride from Kalos had taken a lot of out of him, and he’d grown especially tired from that strange game of cat and mouse with what he speculated to be the ship’s resident Magnemite.

But Clemont felt well-rested enough that he raised himself from his bed with a long stretch of his arms and a yawn before blearily looking towards the soft morning light flitting through the translucent curtains that adorned the cozy window of his temporary abode. Still wrapped in his nightgown, Clemont drew back the curtains, squinting as the full radiance of the rising sun greeted him. He grunted in reflex as he drew his face away for a moment before it all came back into focus. The greenery of the Kanto region was a different hue than Kalos: deeper and seemingly more rugged. Perhaps that was simply the wilds around Pallet Town, but Clemont knew he would soon find out.

The only distraction from that came in the form of his Portable Wifi-Inducing Multi-Media and Storage-Communications Device Mk 3 buzzing with an email from someone who he’d been corresponding with since he’d been selected to come to Kanto. The contents glossed over a few, last minute preparations and tips on the coming days and weeks. It was signed ‘Thaddeus’, who Clemont had come to learn was in fact the child of one of Professor Oak’s own Aides. Clemont was appreciative of the assistance, no doubt, but it was all information he had thoroughly researched ahead of time. After all, this was an unprecedented opportunity, and he wasn’t going to let it go to waste for lack of preparation.

After getting himself dressed and ready for his new adventure, courtesy of invitation from the world famous Professor Oak, Clemont found himself walking down the stairs with a mix anticipation and nervousness. He had at least focus enough to thank the kindly woman on his way out after paying his due for the night in before stepping out and making his way towards the lab, the pinks of the sun-risen sky fading into a healthy blue as a breeze whipped behind him, as though ushering him with a hearty ‘Let’s Go!’ before he picked up his pace.

“I’m ready!” Clemont breathed out, “I’ve worked hard for this! I won’t let them down!”

The look on his face matched the determination in his mind as the lab drew ever closer, step by step.

Plus coming up with several threads, always full of ideas and very open to plot with my other muses as well as hers on her multi-muse blog.

@stageonmay​: Ky! Hoep you don’t mind me tagging your May blog. XD.  A fun person to talk to ooc, and play Nintendo with! Discussing characters, sharing headcanons, coming up with dozens of thread plots. Definitely one of my favorite muns on here! Follow her amazing Pokémon blogs if you’re not already!

@princeofhoenn​: Bluey! Definitely one of my favorite points of this blog was for Brendan to build relations with characters from the anime and Drew was one of the first ones. It’s awesome to see how far the two came from when they first met. Again, another mun fun to talk to OOC. Follow!

@aureajuniper​: We haven’t done much on this account, but you’re it’s awesome that there was a Professor Juniper on here so I can have my Unova muse get some background and character development. Whenever you have Professor Juniper talk about him or her other students, it’s always a high point in my day! Keep up the great work!

@shootie​: Trip! Like with Brendan-Drew, it’s great to get a Shamus-Trip friendship here. I’ve wanted to think of other ways to get my other muses to have some kind of interaction with Trip but we’ve been able to clash so well with Shamus and Trip it’s hard. Anyway, keep up the great work!

“Professor Juniper! The eggs! The eggs!” Oh boy oh boy oh boy! The altered environmental eggs were hatching! It was an expirement set up to see how eggs hatched in three different habitual areas change their hatching rituals, and the moods and behaviours of the new Pokémon babies. And now it was time to see the results! She had rushed into the wonderful Professor’s lab office, giddily waving and calling out to her as she jogged into the room.

Juniper-mun (@aureajuniper) is without a doubt one of the most hardworking muns I know. She's part of GFI (Guilt Free Icons), and has done so so much for people looking for icons for their muses and faceclaims. Her iconing skills are pretty awesome too.

Norman did not know that his child had been forced into the van during the trip to Hoenn. HE KNEW NOTHING. During the move to Hoenn, his wife; Caroline insisted on him going ahead to finish with the finance and travelling issues before they joined him in Littleroot. 

To this day, he does not understand why exactly she desired to have two homes. However, the moment it came to light that Caroline forced their child to drive IN the Moving Truck with all their things; needless to say, the two of them had a very long discussion that night resulting in him staying away for a few days.

Starter for @aureajuniper!

Travelling and exploring places was wonderful.

While the tamaranean most often chose to explore the cities and meet people in there, every now and then she instead chose to learn more about earth by visiting buildings. In today’s case, that meant a museum. And once she was inside, Starfire was already greeted by so many fascinating things, she knew she wouldn’t be able to choose where to go first!

She kept looking at the variety this museum had to offer for a bit longer, and then finally decided where to go. Now, she was heading for the part that focused on the creatures of long lost time, dinosaurs.
