August Flynn is almost always my answer when people ask me what mercy I want. He’s such an interesting and unique character. The Monsters of Verity duology encouraged me to pick up my viola again. Seriously though, I haven't got the slightest idea what I might want to do for a living. There was a short period of time when I wanted to be a veterinary doctor as a kid. Now I'm low-key aiming for a massage certificate. Whatever I do must be compatible with running my family's farm, too, as Mum would never forgive us if we let it die, and neither of my siblings are inclined to doing it. And I like the animals, I'm just extremely insecure about my ability to get things done.

Random facts: hmm 'kay so we have this old pony from Sweden who hurt her eye when she was younger and is blind in the eye. And now the eye is prone to growing more veins than it should, if I understood correctly? Usually when it happens with cats and dogs the eyeball gets removed, so that's the long term solution, though we'll have it done in spring/summer.

I did want to write some enemies to lovers specifically for Venji, that would be a fun time I think.  5. Share one of your strengths. I’ve been told I use language well/poetically and I write compelling idiot characters. 6. Share one of your weaknesses. I’m really obsessed w setting and often frontload description which can slow down the story. Also dialogue, which I used to hate writing, which is now a lot easier. I’m making progress haha.

In a shock to I’m sure none of you who’ve been following me for a min, I fell in love with a snarky fae apprentice! Bast is clever and caring and loyal and v hot, so I was a goner from the jump. Also, my “tail thing” rears its ugly head yet again.

2. Morozko - The Winternight Trilogy

Big and strong. Dark and cold. Protective and powerful. Listen…I’m only so strong. I see a winter god, I’m worshiping at his altar ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He’s the big bad of all the big bads but he’s also just a tender-hearted king, set on protecting those he cares about.

3. Hugh of Harrowfield - Daughter of the Forest

Can’t believe this damn book made me fall for a Brit. Anyways. Hugh is so, SO well written through the female gaze…I cannot. He’s a protector and sensitive even when it’s to his detriment. A for real hero and Prince Charming who doesn’t make you wanna gag.

I would be open to trying to go vegetarian or just eating less meat! I feel like being vegan would stress me out, I can get too deep in the weeds and obsessive if I give myself a lot of food rules, I wouldn’t go so far as to say I have an eating disorder but I don’t have a healthy relationship with food/dieting. 🙃

scarlet: favorite holiday

Definitely Thanksgiving/Christmas. For my family, they go hand in hand - Thanksgiving kicks off the Christmas season and we do a lot of things together, and we have a few birthdays in December to celebrate (including mine). It’s the family togetherness for me; we’re big into playing games and we make a ton of food and we’re loud and we laugh. It’s my favorite time of year.
