Dress Shopping

"How many more dresses do you think she's going to try on?" Aubrie asked. "She must have tried on half the store."

"She's excited, let her have this," Rosie shushed with a polite pat. "She's got to be close."

"How much more champagne do you think they'll give us?" Nellie murmured to Mateo who stifled a chuckle.

"What do you think of this one?" Ida called, standing next to a mannequin wearing the same dress as her. "Chic, right?"

"I can't look." Nellie covered her eyes.

"I love it though! It's classic, it's simple, there's not too much to distract from Ida. You can't go wrong with a sheath."

"You can," Aubrie said.

"Maybe try a different one, Lovey," Rosie said.

"I really like the lace on this one," Ida said, holding out her arms in the mirror. "It's subtle and classic."

"It is," Rosie nodded. "But, Lovey, I don't think it's you. You're not a classic woman; you're a modern and strong one. It's your decision, though."

"I need to pick soon. Look at them."

"They drank most of the bottle to themselves."

"Even Teo?!"

Rosie shrugged. "It's a special occasion. I gave him a single glass."

"This is it," Ida said, her voice thick with emotion. "I...I actually feel like a bride in this one."

It was a unanimous agreement. Like Ida, the dress was unique and modern without being obnoxious or distracting. The strapless sweetheart neckline reminded her of Rosie's wedding dress and loved the slight nod to her mother. It was sexy without being sexual. She was looking forward to Pierce's face when he saw her at the alter.

The Newberry Legacy - Generation 2

Continuing on with visiting the children and their children. Last episode we went to see the twins Tiara and Tori, where Tori passed away nearly immediately of old age. Leaving her son without a mother. Sage and Simon took temporary custody while they tried to find Bentley's father.

We have Addyson and her little family. Rudy & Daryl who were fathered by Malcolm Landgraab. She married Pierce Delgato and they are currently expecting a baby.

Addyson's twin sister Gianna with her current husband Brandan Hudson, her daughter Brittney (who is fathered by her twins current husband, Pierce Delgato), and is currently also pregnant. She also has an adult daughter who was the very first grandchild and is living on her own - Sasha, who was fathered by Malcolm Landgraab. Those girls share too many men.

Violet with her family. She had a fling in early young adulthood and had Troy (father must have been purged), and then married Rahul Chopra - her brother Boston's father.

She has a daughter Jewel and is expecting her third.

The fuck is this family.

Waylon with his wife Kaori Nishidake, his stepdaughter Justine and their son Darion.

Zoe and her husband - Taku Akiyama with their daughter Annie. Also expecting baby #2.

Everyone is dying all of a sudden so excuse the sad faces. I am skipping Tre as he recently passed from freezing.

Juliana and her daughter Shantel. She is single and currently NOT PREGNANT.

All of these are Leonardo's children with various women.. He must be a mailman like his dad.

Aubrie and her son Isiah - also single.

Aria and her husband Christian Bjergsen with their daughter Rosemary and is expecting more as we can see.

Tiara and all the single boys live together. What a weird big sister.

Tiara: "true dat."

Bentley with his dad, Dennis Goth who we tracked down to take custody over, as a boy should be with his dad if able.

Poor Dennis was very upset to hear about Tori.

The last four kids of the first generation and all their traits.

Alice's Birthday

Alice became a child shortly after her parents decided to start working on her sibling. She was blessed; All but one of her relatives came to her birthday party from both sides of her family. Her party was at Harborview Gardens, one of her favorite places in the world.

Pierce's Birthday

"Are you sure you won't come, Grumpy?" Ida asked her sister. "Look, it's beautiful outside. Grandma's gardens look amazing. I know Prim would be happier if you came, she's always so sad you stay home."

"Don't push me, Ida," Nellie snapped. "You're lucky I'm willing to let you take Prim to Pierce's birthday party. Also, your husband is kind of a dick."

"He's just protective."

"He's an ass."

"I'll have Prim home before dark, okay?"

They had his party at Harborview Gardens. Aubrie and the Delgato's arrived shortly before Rosie and Robin also made it. Alice was babbling happily to Prim who she was always excited to see. Prim was still sniffling from the car ride but quickly cheered up.

While Ida worked on making his cake, Pierce entertained the toddlers in the sprinkler. Alice shrieked with glee while Prim let out quiet giggles, running through the cool water. He was happy to see her smile as she was so prone to tears and pouting.

Altogether it was a great birthday. Pierce was not bothered that Nellie wasn't there. In fact, he kind of preferred it. He was worried about how her agoraphobia was going to affect Prim. Sometimes he wondered if Nellie was really equipped to handle being a single parent but he knew better than to utter those words out loud; his wife would eat his face.

Delgatos

Aubrie was just as fierce as chess competitor as her older brother, Pierce. Ida appreciated the change in strategy as Aubrie played much more aggressively than Pierce.

"So, you and my brother, hmm?" Aubrie said, taking a pawn from Ida's side.

Ida blushed, losing her train of thought. "What?"

"He says there's something there."

Ida babbled out a few oh's, trying to remember what piece it was she was going to move. Too much of her blood was in her cheeks.

"It's fine, you know. You both have similar goals and you've been friends forever."

"We're focused on school and then a career. Dating can come after that."

"You could do both."

"Are you and Nellie colluding or something? Both of you need to mind your business."

"We want you happy."

"Pizza makes her happy," Robin said as he collected their pizza and tipped the driver. "Come on, girls, the cheese is best when it's all stringy."

"One second, Mr. Harper," Aubrie said. "I'll have her finished in two moves."

"That's awful arrogant," Ida scoffed.

"It's just facts. Your move."

"So was it facts or arrogance, Ida?"

"This pizza is so good," Ida said instead. "You're right, pizza does make me happy."

"Is Nellie coming?" Rosie asked, eyeing the stairs.

"Yeah, she's just got a few minutes left in her session and she'll be down," Robin reminded her. "Everything is fine, dear. Just eat."

"When's the last time we even had pizza?"

"Okay, I'll see you in two weeks, Nellie," her therapist said from the screen. "Let's take more steps towards you coming into the office, okay?"

"We'll see," Nellie said. "Thank you." She shut the screen and leaned back in her chair, eyes closed. Her body always felt a little gelatinous after the sessions. There was no desire in her heart to go in; why should she when computers existed?

"Why can't everyone just leave me alone?" She muttered to herself. When she graduated high school, she'd move into her own place and probably never leave it again. Her grandmother had left enough for both her and Ida to have their own homes built. She knew her mother thought she'd never leave this house but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Once she had her own place, that would be the place she never left.
