Cozy 1-story home located in Auberdine, Darkshore.
I almost didn't include this one because it seems the house technically "belongs" to Yalda standing out front, but she's so faint you can hardly notice her.
Privacy: Some. A bit of foot traffic outside your door, but the bed is out of view.
RP Possibilities: This would be a great home for a Night elf or someone who loves boats / docks. It's also right next to the inn and flight path so it's super easy to travel to.

As the afternoon continued the Grayson family received their food delivery.

Auberdine parmesan was on the menu that night, there they would get to meet Maggie's husband and Tara's father, Mike Hornos.
Mike: "And then we were sitting in the street and when this lady walked by he said 'I like coffee, but I prefeer having tea' and turns out that lady was his sister-in-law! HA!"
Tara was not amused by the joke, and the others didn't understand it either

Mike: "it's funnier in spanish, because it's a piropo and it was his sister-in-law, but he didn't realize, then she slapped him and kicked him in the..."
Tara: "Dad, even in spanish it is not funny"

The conversation kept on going and Mike, Clay, and Hank had a lot in common, while Clay and Hank sometimes did odd jobs with carpentry, repairing and other things, Mike was a constructor inspector, they all had similar interests and got along quite well.

Clay: "Thank you for inviting us and for the food aunt Maggie, I don't want to overstay our welcome here so it's best we head home"
Maggie:"Yes, your side of the city gets dangerous when its dark, thank you for coming to meet the family, please come back soon alright?"

Titles and Comprehension
Tumblr media
@derkokopelli. You seem to be one of the few people that has common sense, so I'll speak to you. First, Yuli's titles. When Yuli was made, she did not have a title. She was recruited into the Templari and was assigned to making bombs. The Guild Leader back then saw Yuli's potential and placed her as the Diplomacy Sect Leader of the Templari. Then the Guild Leader had to leave suddenly, and she made Yuli(me) Captain/Guild Leader. Immediately after that, BfA launched and Sylvannas attacked Teldrassil. Yuli lead the Templari RP wise to rescue survivors, but she ALSO lead the Templari PVP wise to wipe out any and all pvp Horde players. When you have a kill streak, the game flags you for other players to zone in on. Me and the Templari held ALL of Auberdine for 4 hours straight, and no horde was able to kill us until we decided to log off. During BfA, Yuli earned the title of High Vindicator because of her deeds both in RP and PVP throughout Kul Tiras and Zandalar. There was a MAJOR Draenei/Lightforged Draenei presence during BfA, and no players and no guilds were capitalizing on this. So I did. Yuli grew in recognition because players always saw her throughout the expansion where she helped Alliance players constantly. At the end of BfA, Yuli got pregnant, started a family, and studied to become an Anchorite, because she realized that her family not only needs a fighter, but they need a healer, too. She went to the Exodar AND Shattrath to study and become an Anchorite because it was her motherly duty to care for her family, which spread to care for her people. When the Shadowlands prelaunch happened and Stormwind was turning into Zombies, Yuli and a handful of Templari went to Stormwind Cathedral of Light and made that a bunker zone, protecting people from zombies and helping the Argent Crusade cure those that could be saved. Yuli did this until the server literally crashed. Afterwards, it was the people that recommended that Yuli become an Exarch--something Yuli did NOT want to be. But once she realized that she could help her people more by doing this, she trained for her Exarch Trial, which was held in the Exodar for her final test, battling 2 Exarchs by herself, which she passed. Yuli is a Vindicator, High Vindicator, and Anchorite, and continued her training for High Anchorite during Shadowlands, the Shadowlands Timeskip, AND Dragonflight. She healed the sick, she healed her allies, she healed her ENEMIES, and according to Raider.io in terms of raids and mythic+ for BfA, I became the 413th best holy priest in the entire game, and I became the 35th best holy priest in the entire MoonGuard server, and the 14th best holy priest in MoonGuard's Alliance faction. Yuli didn't earn her High Anchorite title until the mid point to Season One of The War Within. That's quite a lot of time to get a title. I didn't just show up out of nowhere, claim a ridiculously high title, and say I'm God. I worked with other RPers and EARNED her titles. But you wouldn't know this, because you don't RP with me. Next, your comprehension. Horny Draenei. --When are Draenei NOT horny? Sure they have their duty, but since 90% of their entire species has been wiped out by the Legion, they have A LOT of re-populating to do. Orc with a Draenei in their basement. I know the player that said that. They haven't been in the Templari for years. We ARE a cross-faction guild, after all. And the player that said that, said that OOCly. So, it's a crime to say OOC things now??? Horny Gnome. Same thing. I know that player too. They're no longer in the Templari, they've been out of the Templari for nearly 2 years. And again, they spoke OOCly. Again, is it a crime to say OOC things??? Horny Demon. We have a few converted demons in the Templari in service to the Grand Army, as that IS a Canon thing the Grand Army does. And again, they speak OOCly. Am I supposed to incriminate my guild members because we're an adult guild talking about adult themes OOCly?
As for the alleged pedophiles, I have some simple questions to ask you. If my guild members being alleged pedophiles were a problem, why do they still RP out in the open? Why do other RPers RP with them? Why are they not hiding? Do you seriously think that if the accusations were indeed true, that I would have them out in the RP Community as I currently do? Use your head, man. Y'all got played and you're targeting the wrong people. None of us played any of you. Y'all got sold a lie and you don't want to believe it. </3

What can I do on Bloodmyst Isle without killing anything?
Since I was only able to tromp around Azuremyst for 5 levels, moving onto Bloodmyst Isle seemed like the next logical step.
First, I used my hearthstone to teleport back to the Exodar to clear out bags and get closer to the turn in point for Coming of Age—the last quest in my log. I learned mining and herbalism to be sure I’d reach level ten by the end of Bloodmyst, and also so I would have something to sell for gold.
Topside, Torallius the Pack Handler was throughly unimpressed with the Exarch’s pick for recruit (me). But he told me to report in at Kessel’s Crossing, just over the bridge on Bloodmyst Isle, anyway. Once there, I was immediately sent back to Azuremyst Isle to warn the settlements there of an imminent attack.
After a round trip on elekk-back, I returned to Kessel’s Crossing to gather some sand pears as a treat for the elekks. As I picked them up, I also gathered some herbs, and was chased off once by an angry bear—and then by an angry bearman.
With my share of sand pear pie in hand, I traveled north up the road to Blood Watch, which looks much like Azure Watch—but red. The zone hasn’t changed since its release in the Burning Crusade expansion and it shows—I was inundated with quest givers and filled up my quest log like a kid in a candy store. It’s a little overwhelming, but for a pacifist it’s preferable to the alternative of long chains that can’t be progressed. (An extreme example of which is Westfall.)
One Draenei was concerned about the threat the local satyr might pose and sent me to learn what I could from the monument in their settlement to the southwest, Nazzivian. Another found murlocs to be curious creatures and just wanted to learn more about them. She gave me a tagging device to mark them for study. Yet another needs crystal samples from around the isle and takes me with collecting one from the debris near Kessel’s Crossing, in the least corrupted area of Bloodmyst.
One Lady was looking for her husband, who worked in the Cryo-Core, and asked me to search the wreckage where it landed just west of Blood Watch. And one guy just wanted mushrooms for his collection, sending me out for four specific specimens unique to the isle.
A Dwarf from Odysseus’ expedition was hanging around town, and complained to me that he had to babysit a Gnomish prospector who was studying the local murlocs. Told me to go have a look inside the old turtle shell on the northern beach. Speaking of Odysseus, a messenger stopped me to let me know an urgent letter from him was waiting from me in the mailbox. Retrieving the letter, I read that Odysseus received a visit from the ghost of an old captain, who apparently haunts Wyrmscar island to the northeast, and asked that I seek him out.
A Vindicator got me up to speed on the current military situation and sent me over to the Exarch to talk about his plan, and also told me to report to Vindicator Boris for training. Since the Blood Elves have been using the remains of the vector coil and its corrupting effects against us, he wants to blow it up. He needs information from their elven prisoner to make that happen and, after casting a spell to make me look and sound like a Blood Elf, sends me in to get it. I pretend to be a fellow prisoner and get him chatting until he spills the relevant info. After which, the Exarch tells me to take the road north and west to reach Vindicator’s Rest and report to Corin. Harbinger Mikolaas also wanted me to go to Vindicator’s rest and talk to the hand Scout Jorli.
Finally, I was given a letter of introduction to take to the closest Alliance settlement. (Specifically he said Auberdine, but uh… Ah, I’m sure it will be fine…)
I start in on my massive to do list by picking a blood mushroom growing right on the cliffs of Blood Watch (why did he need help with this one?). As I make my way back south towards the crystal, I swim across the red river and collect a stinkhorn growing on the riverbed.
The crystal sample was just west of Kessel’s Crossing, and the area was crawling with ravagers. I managed to chip off a piece without alerting any of them, which was both a surprise and a relief because I had neither sap nor vanish yet.
Just across the bay from there were the murlocs I was supposed to tag. I specifically needed to tag the scouts, who were mingling with a great number of other (less interesting?) murlocs. It was a bit stressful to get within tagging range of a scout but stay out of aggro range of all the other murlocs, since using the tagging gun would break my stealth. But, I only had to run once. Well, twice, if you count the treasure chest I went back to steal out from under them.
I picked up a felcone fungus on my way north to the ruins of Nazzivian. I snuck through satyr camps until I reached the monument where I either took a rubbing of the plaque, or pried it off the stone entirely (it’s a bit unclear…).
Just north of the ruins, through a mountain pass, was the wreckage of the cyro-core and it was absolutely crawling with Blood Elves. It was nerve wracking to try to sneak through them while they randomly darted about—I thought for sure they would run right into me! I located Galaen’s body, but blew my cover while I was searching for his matching pendant to take back to his wife (read: turning in the quest), and had to flee through the entire horde of Blood Elves as they flung fire balls at me.
After escaping the elves, I went northwest to Vindicator’s Rest where I reported to both Corin and Scout Jorli. I couldn’t help the scout with anything, but I thought maybe I could help Corin. Or rather, watch Corin while he went into the Blood Elf infested vector coil to plant bombs. I was wrong. Even if he was lucky enough to get through the elves, he couldn’t handle their boss, Sironas, on his own.
With nothing left to do there, I uncovered the areas of the map north of Vindicator’s Rest, and then jumped down a waterfall to the beach where the Explorer’s League Gnome was staying. He was indeed camping out inside a giant turtle shell in the middle of a murloc village. Said murlocs had stolen some of his equipment, but he didn’t dare expose his presence and ruin his study, so he sent me to retrieve it.
His crate of supplies was smack in the middle of one of their hut clusters. I still didn’t have access to sap, so it took a few tries to pick up the crate before a murloc stabbed me and interrupted the action—and then I had to flee until it stopped chasing me and go back and repeat.
After returning the supplies, I kept going east along the beach until I discovered and warp piston. Then swam further east to Wyrmscar island, where I talked to the ghost of Captain Edward Hanes about the bloodcurse legacy. Unable to help him with that particular problem, I walked around the island and bumped into another ghost who did have a problem I could solve.
This Night Elf ghost told me the owlkin on Bloodmyst were suddenly stealing the bones of long dead dragons from Wyrmscar, agitating their spirits. So, I swam back across the water to the forest where they lived, which was just north of Blood Watch. I stayed on the outskirts of their settlement, sneaking in the snatch a bone and then darting away when I earned their ire. Once I had collected 8, I returned them to the Night Elf ghost.
I couldn’t help him with anything else, so I swam south out to Bloodcurse isle while it was (somewhat) convenient to discover it on my map. Then swam back east to the mainland and collected a ruinous polypore on my way back to Blood Watch. When I delivered the mushrooms, Maatparm told me to go right back out to Wyrmscar and bring him two more specimens…
Before I did, I turned in all of the other quests I completed after circling the isle. When I brought the crystal sample to Mikolaas, he told me the survey team he sent to the nearby ruins to the east had not returned, and asked me to go look for them. Those ruins where swarming with naga, and I found the corpses of the survey team in the middle of it all.
From there, I swam northeast back to Wyrmscar island to collect a couple of Ysera’s Tears. This time I remembered to climb the mountain in the center of the island to discover Viridian point.
By the time I returned to Blood Watch with those mushrooms, I was finally level ten and could collect candy from the bucket in the Inn—part of the Hallows Eve celebration. I also received a (telepathic?) message from Wraithon, telling me to use the dragonscale that was suddenly in my bag to teleport to Stormwind so we could go to the Dragon Isles.

World Of Warcraft Took Away Wrath Of The Lich King. They are changing Classic, a mode that is supposed to be like the early days of WOW. It's more challenging. People tend to be much older, and nicer! We who are signing this petition want our servers back, and we want the game not to be updated as the petition-writer explained so well.
Think of a video game as a novel with a very interesting plot. You'd be upset if a character you liked died for no reason, wouldn't you? I write young adult science fiction. So I am well aware of what makes a good story. A huge part of that is the characters you write about. Blizzard has good writers, but this decision to kill off characters we cared about, just to jerk our emotions around is beyond me. Like many other gamers on WOW, I couldn't understand how killing off dozens of NPCs who had backstory and were likeable characters, added in any way to the story of Cata. I didn't when the expansion was new. I still don't.
I went over to Classic because the servers are a lot less hostile, and because my favorite guild is there. A guild is like a club. You help each other out by doing quests together that you couldn't complete alone, or making things for them to wear or use through your professions.
I use the reporting function often when on World of Warcraft because players are so toxic. With a right-click of the person's name, I can send a report to a Game Master [GM] so one of WOW's terrific customer service reps can address the problem.
I know since COVID it's hard to get enough people to handle these positions, and I've seen plenty of complaints online in my social media from workers who feel overloaded and sexually harassed working for Blizzard. These reports distress me very much. There is a larger problem in our country of housing being too expensive for low-income workers, many of whom work for these large companies. So worker shortages are common, and WOW is suffering, too.
I also play Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, or SWTOR. This game is a lot more pleasant because chat is not as toxic. So, I spend more time over there. These games are similar in that the maps are huge, and quests have interesting stories. NPCs or Non-Player Characters, are the characters you interact with in the game who are not other players. They sell you things and buy your junk items. They open a window for you to use the Auction House where you can sell things to players [Galactic Market on SWTOR]. NPCs give you quests, they have a problem and ask you to solve it, either by gathering things, killing animals, or killing enemies, or doing other tasks. As you do these tasks, you learn things about that NPC, their backstory.
I was really enjoying Wrath Of The Lich King Classic. Really enjoying it. My guild had just moved to Myzrael server and I moved all 14 of my characters over there. I was actively working to level Viae from 65 to 80 so I could do dungeons with my guildmates and made a lot of progress across my toons with professions. I logged in one day and ALL of my characters are gone. All that work I put into them. All of those hours. Gone!
Retail is not as much fun! And, Cataclysm was traumatic. Those NPCs Blizzard so casually destroyed were a part of my game life. I cried over their deaths. It still hurts not to be able to go to Auberdine. And that was years ago. It is a rule of good storytelling, you don't kill off characters without a very good reason. Blizzard just broke our hearts without a thought as to whether it made good sense to the story to kill off these NPCs. A lot of us were very fond of these characters.
I wish Blizzard would listen to us gameplayers and give us back all the expansions of Classic without making it into Retail. And don't force us into Cataclysm. Didn't you learn anything from that awful experience, Blizzard? Your subs dropped like a rock. It was the most unpopular expansion in the history of World Of Warcraft. And you want to force it on me.
Keep in mind that almost half of all games' player bases are women. I can't understand other players' insistence in Trade Chat that there are no women players. There are a lot of fellas who play female characters because they like to look at them. Okay. I have some male characters because I like to look at them. I prefer fully-clothed characters. Dress my characters as I would myself. That can be hard with some of the armor you get in playing the game! World Of Warcraft has always been plagued with costumes that are scanty and embarrass me. I consider this a form of sexual abuse.
When Microsoft acquired Blizzard, I had high hopes that maybe, their toxic workplace would turn into a safe place for employees of color and women. That they would truly listen to their gamer database. I am female and a gamer. I do not enjoy immodest armor. Thank goodness, I don't have a boyfriend to push me into dressing my characters immodestly and I consider that a form of abuse and domination over women. I am happy to see more choices over the way our characters look. I'm white, but I think there should be characters of color in games, and adaptations for disabilities, a lot more than we have access to now. My disabilities get in the way of my gaming. A quarter of people globally have a significant, life-limiting disability. ADA doesn't help me as much as I think I need. We should have a bigger voice, but that's a story for another blog post.
So, why do I still play WOW? Because my friends are there. Granted, I mostly play alone, but I am working on things that will make me a more useful guild member. I want to level up my characters to do some of the harder things my guildmates are doing. I often chat on Discord with my fellow guild members while I am playing alone. A lot of work goes into leveling a character, so most of that has to be done during the time I am not playing with guild members.
Will Microsoft turn this situation around where all of us players have a voice about the games we play? I've been playing since 2007. Other players can be nice, but chat [text chat for those who don't play] is divided into categories. Trade Chat is the most active, and the most toxic. People will get on there and troll players over politics and religion and say very offensive things. Common attitudes are things like, 'women don't play WOW' and insults to women like Trump says.
If you are a parent and just turn your kid loose in these games, shame on you! You should play with your kid and see just what toxic mess is spewed in Trade Chat and how players doing holiday activities can be persecuted by the over-aggressive Player-vs-player people. For those of you who don't know, PVP [Player Vs Player] is when teams of players face off against each other in dungeons. A few years ago, Blizzard made it so PVP mode can be active in a lot more of the game, not just in battlegrounds. I have suffered a lot when I'm trying to gather materials for professions, to make myself armor or potions, and had people jump ahead of me to get that herb or mine that ore when I was headed to it. There are things in the game to help stop some of that misbehavior. But, when I used to go in dungeon groups [5 people who join a dungeon group to fight powerful bosses for good loot], I got traumatized by people who fussed me out for doing the wrong thing. When in a dungeon I like to take the quests and do extra things while in it. But, too many times, whoever ends up being the leader often won't let us take time to loot before rushing to get the dungeon done, and they won't wait for someone completing quests. It has made me cry so much, I don't do dungeons unless it's with my very understanding guild. WOW can be very bad for your mental health! So I mostly play alone or with my daughter.
My daughter Maggie and I were so angry over this, we tried to cancel our active subscriptions and demanded a refund on the new expansion. We couldn't. So, I am signing this petition with much anger and frustration.
I don't often talk about my gaming life. When I get stuck working on my latest novel, I'll hop on a game and do something mindless while I work out the plot. Often, that's fishing in World Of Warcraft, or just riding a mount on a road through a pretty area. Or flying someplace. The music and pretty scenery makes it easy to just go into my universe in my head and figure out what my characters are going to do next. Then, I'll log out and go write it. Or, if I'm really frustrated, I'll do something in game to get my mind off it that takes all my attention. I spend a lot more time writing that gaming, but gaming gives me an outlet for writing frustration, and writing gives me an outlet for Real Life [RL] frustration. I do talk things out, and my daughter is very helpful with that, but I have a lot of traumas, and talking too much about them equals bad depression or just a really rotten mood. So, there's a balance that I keep. Gaming is a nice hobby--when I'm not as frustrated as I am right now!
I hope we get enough signatures to convince Blizzard that those of us who enjoy Classic enjoy it for reasons that this petition poster clearly expresses. We don't want Cata, thank you. We want to keep all our Classic servers as they were. I like Wrath Of The Lich King, but think players of Vanilla and Burning Crusade deserve to keep their servers, too. We are all united in this cause. I hope everyone who plays WOW will see this and consider adding their signature.

also:
dont think ive forgotten about how the only serious damage sustained to stormwind during deathwing's assault was the absolute annihilation of the park's district.
the one singular spot in the entire city inhabited by night elves.
not to mention how this occurs after deathwing wipes auberdine, thalanaar, and feathermoon stronghold off the fucking map.
i have not forgotten.
im sorry what the fuck do you MEAN the nelves are abandoning kalimdor and surrendering it to the horde in favor of relocating to a new tree on the dragon isles????
